The Ruckus Report Quick take: A compelling look at how embracing AI and creativity can transform education, told through the journey of a young entrepreneur who went from feeling constrained by traditional schooling to teaching others how to innovate. Meet Your Fellow Ruckus Maker Today's episode features two innovators in education: Nate Corona is a Santa Cruz entrepreneur who's redefining what's possible for students in the AI age. Starting with a sneaker cleaning business in his hometown, Nate chose the "harder route" over traditional paths, leading him to d'Skills where he transformed a random thought into a successful logo design business. Now part of d'Skills' business development team while also working in auto advertising, Nate exemplifies how embracing different thinking styles can lead to unexpected opportunities. Hannah Williams is the founder of d'Skills, a VC-backed startup shifting students from test prep to life prep. Her own unorthodox journey began at age 12 when her father handed her a phone to close a real estate deal from a blue pickup truck. She went on to enroll in college at 14 and graduated with a degree in international business at 18. Now at 25, Hannah leads d'Skills in equipping motivated teens with digital and AI skills, helping them convert these skills into paid, real-world projects with small businesses. Her vision is to help 1M high schoolers build impact portfolios that give them more experience and connections than most college graduates. Christopher Lochhead calls her "a pioneer of our time." Breaking Down the Old Rules
We love it. We hate it. We chase it. And let's be honest—sometimes, we don't even know how to talk about it. But what if we flipped the script? No matter what job you have, you've probably felt at various points in your career that you don't make enough. And because money can be a taboo topic, we rarely reveal what our salaries are—even with the people we're closest to. In a recent survey, only about half the participants said they share their salary with family members, while just 32% said they share how much they make with close friends. This secrecy helps keep gender, racial, and executive-to-worker pay gaps thriving. Fortunately, the tide has been slowly turning in the past few years. More companies have adopted at least partial-salary-transparency policies, and even some states and cities have introduced laws supporting salary transparency or salary ranges. Hannah Williams, a content creator and host of the TikTok channel, Salary Transparent Street, has a knack for talking to people about salaries. She believes that it's a conversation we need to have in order to make work a better deal for everyone.

Head Coach for the Macro Nutrition Coaching Certification, Hannah Williams, talks about her zoomed out version of coaching where nutrition, mindset & fitness meet. She's definitely one of the best lifestyle-nutrition coaches we know because she created the coaching experience her clients need and deserve. Are you really meeting your clients where they are at, or are you expecting them to be comfortable with where YOU are? What would coaching look like if there were less emphasis on the scale versus how people are feeling? When is the last time you did an assessment on whether your coaching is the investment you would make for yourself? Its time to challenge yourself as a coach, dig deeper and even consider some psychology or mindset continuing education classes. ________________________ Guest: Hannah Williams: https://www.instagram.com/hannahj28/ Recommended Certifications: Girls Gone Strong Pre and PostNatal Cert: https://go.girlsgonestrong.com/cppc-special-offer2 Health Mindset Coaching Certification (HMCC): https://www.healthmindsetcert.com/ Free All About Macros Guide: https://www.themacrouniversity.com/all-about-macros
“How much do you make?” It's the one question that sends chills up corporate spines and the one question every employee is secretly dying to ask one another. But what if it didn't have to be that way? What if pay was… *gasp* actually transparent? Meet the viral TikTok sensation daring to bring pay transparency to the forefront of the social media conversation, Hannah Williams. Sick of corporate America making employees feel powerless in the pay cycle, Hannah's viral TikTok series, “Salary Transparent Street” set out to tear down the pay transparency wall by encouraging strangers to disclose all the dirty deets of exactly how much they make. She chats with Hebba about how her personal experience of being underpaid sparked a social media revolution and inspired her to fight back against discriminatory employment practices and pay gaps disproportionately affecting women, POC, disabled communities, and LQBTQIA+ groups. Together, Hannah and Hebba break down strategies for setting pay bands in a fair and earnest way, discuss why employers are so scared of people talking about pay, and reveal how budget-strapped employers can think outside of the box when it comes to negotiations. The 2-1 opinion held that the provision violates the 8th Amendment's prohibition on cruel and unusual punishment. What is livescribing? On this episode, I speak to an artist with a unique creative talent. Hannah Williams is the founder of Scribble Inc. and her talent is that she can summarise presentations and discussions in beautiful pieces of art that fuse words and images. You'll find links to examples below.I met Hannah at a conference called Speak to the Human, an annual event, organised by Acteon Communication. You can read more about it here.Hannah livescribed all the presentations and sessions that day, including mine. You can see a video of her in action here and the live scribe of my presentation here:The reason I wanted to get Hannah onto the show is because she has some fascinating perspectives from having spent hours observing humans and summarising their thoughts and ideas. Her lens on people can teach us a lot about human risk. In our discussion, we explore:how Hannah came to become a livescribe after realising she had a talent for it;the role of live scribing in facilitating personal expression, fostering inclusion, and promoting understanding;how restrictions can enhance creativity, and how, counterintuitively, controlling the environment can stimulate creative flow;Hannah's transitioned from being an artist to entrepreneur and how she balances her business decisions with personal values;the power of visual representation in communicating energy facilitating self-reflection and impriving our memory;and much, much more. You can find out more about Hannah and Scribble Inc and see examples of her work on the Scribble Inc website.
