What is racism and what we call racism? “Psychologists are studying the processes by which young children learn about race and how to prevent prejudice from taking root by Kirsten Weir from APA, June 2021.” Race doesn't have meaning by itself. We give meaning to this by our belief, values, behaviors, and actions. Raising multicultural/militarism children starts from home and caregivers.

Bullying and rasicm must be held to the same. Reason being. When you bully someone its because of a characteristic you don't like about them. Same as rasicm. You hate someone due to a characteristic. We need to stop separating them and holding them to the same standards. Bullying should be a hate crime as well as all others thats labeled hate crimes. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/wearehuman/support

12. Rasicm and Violence Part 1 01.22.17 by Anchor Church Palos
During the 2015–2016 school year, Black students represented only 15% of total US student enrollment, but they made up 35% of students suspended once, 44% of students suspended more than once, and 36% of students expelled. The US Department of Education concluded that this disparity is “not explained by more frequent or more serious misbehavior by students of color.”[1] In New York City, 88% of police stops in 2018 involved Black and Latinx people, while 10% involved white people. (Of those stops, 70% were completely innocent.)[2] In one US survey, 15.8% of students reported experiencing race-based bullying or harassment. Research has found significant associations between racial bullying and negative mental and physical health in students.[3] From 2013 to 2017, white patients in the US received better quality health care than about 34% of Hispanic patients, 40% of Black patients, and 40% of Native American patients.[4] Black women are 3 to 4 times more likely to experience a pregnancy-related death than white women, even at similar levels of income and education.[5] Black Americans are more likely than white Americans to be arrested. Once arrested, they are more likely to be convicted, and once convicted, they are more likely to experience lengthy prison sentences.[6] Black Americans and white Americans use drugs at similar rates, but Black Americans are 6 times more likely to be arrested for it.[7] On average, Black men in the US receive sentences that are 19.1% longer than those of white men convicted for the same crimes.[8] In the US, Black individuals are twice as likely to be unemployed than white individuals. Once employed, Black individuals earn nearly 25% less than their white counterparts.[9] One US study found that job resumes with traditionally white-sounding names received 50% more callbacks than those with traditionally Black names.[10] In the US, Black workers are less likely than white workers to be employed in a job that is consistent with their level of education.[11]

In this episode, myself along with actress Robyn Alomar, speak upon a few of the trending clips that have been in the media lately, that have been quite confusing, misleading, or inaccurate! We cover Candace Owens outburst, the hypocritical police cry for attention, as well as the generational growth between parents and young children when it comes to racism. Be sure to watch in its entirety to learn a few things, open your mind, and become a better person. We all must grown and learn from each other in order to make progress!

In light of of these historic riots and protest, I felt it was important to have a conversation about what was happening exactly and what protestors are hoping to gain from this moment. Its important to educate those who are unaware, so that true change can happen. We love those of you who support us and thank you for standing with us!

This week we will again be discussing the recent and past negative imagery of African Americans in the Media and what effects it has on the world view of African Americans as well as African American themselves. In relation to Trayvon Martin as an example, does the media play a detrimental role towards black people even in the situation of wrongful death? With people like Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, leading blacks, and activists, when it come to the social aspect of black america do we need a new approach or new model? Are the leading blacks and activist that typically speak out in the media helping or hurting the situation presented? Are black people distracted by what the media displays themselves as, causing them to emulate what they see? Due to this, have we progressed or digressed? How can we grasped back the positive images we need to show our children, so they will model this in their future? What are some solutions to continue positive imagery in Black America?

DNA mapping is it the gateway for Eugenics? Can we trust those who have used us? "Assessing the work of Charles Darwin, and pondering the experience of animal breeders and horticulturists, Francis Galton wondered if the human genetic make-up could be improved: “The question was then forced upon me - Could not the race of men be similarly improved? Could not the undesirables be got rid of and the desirables multiplied?”This concept of eugenics - a term he introduced - soon won many adherents, notably in North America and England. First practical steps were taken in the United States of America. The government under Theodore Roosevelt created a national Heredity Commission that was charged to investigate the genetic heritage of the country and to “(encourage) the increase of families of good blood and (discourage) the vicious elements in the cross-bred American civilization”.
