Ownership Or Equality? With Joe Budden recently announcing that he's ending his contract with Spotify for his number 1 rated podcast, the internet immediately started buzzing. After a response from Breakfast Club host Charlamagne The God that Joe needs to negotiate better, fans began to take sides. Given Charlamagne The God's recent announcement of a partnership for a podcast network on iHeart radio, the question now comes up of having a seat at the table vs building your own. Are both aspects correct? Should black people in America be more concerned with building their own table, or getting an equity stake at someone else's? What's an acceptable amount of ownership that a creator is willing to part with? With podcasts being larger than ever before, should black podcasters continue a path of independence, or seek network deals?

Thanks for tuning in to the Middle Men Talk Show Today. Historically Black Colleges and Universities are institutions founded before the Civil Rights Act of 1964 serving primarily African American students. They allowed our ancestors, grandparents, parents, and so on the opportunity to attend higher education when most predominantly white institutions did not allow the enrollment of African Americans. Currently, there are over 100 HBCUs today. In today's integrated society, is the HBCU still relevant to black culture? With limited federal funding and alumni financial support, can HBCUs compete with predominantly white institutions for research grants and too academic and athletic prospects? How can HBCUs survive in the future, and what impact can a youth social justice movement have on them? What are some ways HBCUs can continue to increase their connectedness with the black community? Will there be an increase in enrollment in HBCUs and also will we see an increase of top athletes attending? How can others who attended PWI's help support HBCUs?
On the Middle Men Talk Show tonight we will be discussing: Allies or All Lies? There have been times throughout history where racism against people of color could have been stopped. Is this movement of change happening or is it just another moment in history? Is it just a “Moment” for how some white people are coming to support? or is it just generational need to be in vogue? Are they an ally or all lies? Is Corporate America's stance on Black Live matter a true stance? or just a strategy to keep future income flowing. Have the infiltrators of the riots damaged the movement with their senseless acts of domestic terrorism? What type of policies can be put in place it insure change in America? Other nations are protesting the murder of George Flloyd, will these protests enact a change on a global scale for people of color? on a global scale, which nations are truly an ally of African Americans? In America, we still face the weaponizing of the police by some. Where do this Karen and big boss steve mentality stem really from? Is this mentality of superiority a mentality of inferiority? What discussions should we continue to have with our children about these issues?

Thank You for tuning in to the Middle Men Talk Show!! Today's topic: Toxic Masculinity. Some people were praising Boosie for paying to introduce his son to sex, but we're against D. Wade in allowing his child to choose their gender. One is abuse, but the other is a person's own reflection of themselves. So, Why are some people defending Boosie? Who all are in the Blame for this act? What is an appropriate age introduce a child to sex? Would the reaction be the same if it had been a mother getting a male stripper for her daughter?? (Meaning some people supporting it) What teachings and conversations are you having with your children about sex? Is teaching a child homosexual lifestyle acceptance different from teaching a child about a hetrosexual life sytle? Has the introduction to the internet on cell phones made it acceptable for kids to know about sex at an early age now compared to back in the day? What effects do you think this will have on the mentality of raising boys to become men/girls to become women to respect themselves? Who has the right to define masculinity?
Thanks for tuning in to the Middle Men Talk Show today!! Activist and journalist Ida B. Wells once wrote that every black family should own a Winchester rifle. Gun ownership among African Americans has been on the rise since the election of Donald Trump, yet seemingly blacks people do not enjoy the same freedoms and protections as their white counterparts. With no end in sight to the negative perceptions, where do black people fit into the gun culture of America? The Second Amendment gives every citizen of the United States the right to bear arms. But does this truly apply to everyone? What are steps one should do to become a gun owner? What type of gun should a first-time buyer purchase? How many guns is too many? Do black people subject themselves to more danger by not open or concealed carrying? Is black gun ownership the same as white gun ownership? Will the rise in gun ownership lead back to the time when black people policed their own neighborhoods? Do we think the right to bear arms and self defense will be met with the same adherence to the law? At what age should we start teaching our children how to use a gun properly? Should black people join the NRA? What are the benefits of people of color joining the NRA?
Thank you for tuning in to the Middle Men Talk Show today!! Sports have given people an outlet to express themselves using their athletic talents. Some have been able to achieve great success by playing on professional levels. But does love come with the money and the fame? Are pro athletes suitors targeting them for love or the security of financial stability? Should black parents tell their sons the type of women they should date if they have the potential to go pro? How would the outlook of the situation change if the roles were reverse? (such as black females athletes being pursued by white males or white males athletes being pursued by black female). Do black athletes have a false sense of privilege once they have the money and success? What typically happens with these type of relationships if an athlete is injured before the big contract happens? Do they stay or leave? and how would you react if this was your child? Does having a man/woman of another nationality or race signify having "made it" into higher society? With the possibility of mail in voting and electronic voting being introduced in some states, how will voting change? What should be a process for voting? and which one do you trust as a voter? Other countries have placed their elections on hold to focus on the coronavirus, should the U.S. do the same? Should our vote be all we give, or should we do more? Examples: Donate, phone bank, send mailers, etc. When will we come up with our own black agenda instead of waiting on politicians and preachers to present one to our community? and what should that agenda look like? And finally, why don't we, The African American community, carry the same energy about the presidential elections into mid-term and local office elections? Call in to Listen or Comment 516-387-1542

On today's show we will discuss women who have everything and choose to feel that they do not need a man/spouse in their lives. They have the perfect job, house, cars, and children without a man/spouse in their life. Does this equal true happiness? For a "successful female", Is it settling when you get with someone who is below your income, does not have the same educational credentials, or job background as you do? Is it selfish of the woman who has everything they need to only utlize the man to fulfill her last need of wanting a child? Are these particular women willing or know how to share their success with a mate and not think that person is trying to live off their success? Is life more meaningful to have success or love? Is society pushing black women to keep moving forward without the black male? Who fault is it that some black men are not viable in a relationship with some black women when those women have everything? When some black men do not take the opportunity to get a higher level of education, is this why some black women feel they have to over educate themselves to fill in what is lacking by their male counterparts? Is a man less than a man because he not making more than the women he is with or wants to be with?
