Myles is back from the dirty desert, Nolan had a quarter-life crisis and the Oilers went 3-0.This week after some early banter about Arizona and nightclubbing, the boys broke down the past week's slate of games against the Sens, the Stars and the Kraken (8:37).They then moved into some general Oilers talk including Slater Koekkoek providing an update (38:25), Connor McDavid x Nickelback (49:05) and Mark Rassell making his AHL debut (52:50).Flipping to NHL chat, they discussed the three biggest names in hockey (not for good reasons): James Reimer (1:02:15), Carson Briere (1:15:30), Jordan Binnington (1:21:07) and much more!Closing out with Myles' Rockstar of the Week (1:31:00).Follow us on Instagram @one_for_onepod, Twitter @oneforonepod and YOUTUBE One for One PodcastThank you to Betstamp for sponsoring this weeks episode! It's Friday afternoon and that means a brand new episode of Oilersnation Radio is here to help you finish off your week with an hour of all things Edmonton Oilers. On this week's show, we looked at the Oilers' run of injuries, more magic from Connor McDavid, another round of Ask the Idiots, and a whole lot more. To kick off this week's podcast, we got started with a look at Connor McDavid's ridiculous goals against the Rangers and then the Jets and tried to decide which was nicer. Whether you liked the one against the Rangers from two week's ago or last night's carbon copy against the Jets, Connor McDavid seems to be bringing his best at the most crucial moments in these hockey games and none of us could contain our excitement to walk through his latest magic moments. And from where we podcast, there is no better pairing for some McDavid magic than the accompanying call by Jack Michaels, which sent us down another rabbit hole for why he needs to be calling playoffs games. From there, we looked at the injury bug that's running through the Oilers' lineup right now as all three of Derek Ryan, Darnell Nurse, and Slater Koekkoek suffered injuries in the two-game mini-series against Winnipeg. Seeing as there are now holes in the lineup, the Oilers recalled both Philip Broberg and William Lagesson this morning, and we tried to figure out where they'd be slotted in and what that means in terms of continuing this early season heater. Lastly, we wrapped up this week's podcast with another round of Ask the Idiots and Hot and Cold performers to recap what was a very busy week here in Edmonton.

In this episode of Oilers Overtime our Edmonton Oilers crew writers Jim Parsons, Brian Swane & Colton Pankiw get together to discuss the Slater Koekkoek signing, whether Tyler Benson will get a chance in the NHL this season, Kailer Yamamoto's future contract, the value of Leon Draisaitl's contract today and finally they give their thoughts on the NHL approving ads on their jerseys for the 2021-22 season. Our Oilers crew are great writers, too: Jim Parsons - Julian Mongillo - Brian Swane - Colton Pankiw Make sure to check out all of our great Oilers content Graphics by Vince Richard
Let's do this. David Staples and Bruce McCurdy of the Cult of Hockey take a look at the Oilers defence now that Slater Koekkoek has been signed and dig into prospects 11 to 15. By the Faithful and for the Faithful.
It's been a surprisingly busy week in Oil Country and that means we're back with a fresh episode of Oilersnation Radio to help get you through what's left of your week while also make sense of everything going on with the Oilers and around the NHL. On this week's show, we looked at Kailer Yamamoto's next contract, the defensive group, and a whole lot more. To kick off this week's podcast, we got started with a look at Kailer Yamamoto's next contract as he is one of the few remaining players that has yet to be re-signed. Considering Yamo didn't have the best season in 2021, we wondered what a fair deal would look like for the former 22nd overall pick, and whether or not the Oilers will try to add some term to this contract to keep him as a cheaper option. From there, we looked at Tyler Benson's place with the team and whether or not he has the skillset to crack the roster even if it means playing somewhere lower in the lineup. Would it even make sense for Benson to play on the fourth line? Sticking with some of the housekeeping the Oilers got done this week, we dove into Slater Koekkoek's two-year deal that got signed this past week and whether or not it was crazy for the Oilers to give the guy a second year even though he'll probably get lapped on the depth chart before the contract is over. With a fresh one-year contract in his pocket, we looked at where Brandon Perlini fits into the lineup as he tries to get back into the NHL after spending the last year in the Swiss league. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

It’s Friday afternoon and that means a brand new episode of Oilersnation Radio has been wrapped up, edited into a masterpiece, and ready to stimulate your ear feelings as you head into the weekend. To kick off today’s episode, we jumped in with a look back at 2020 and picked out our favourite memories from the past calendar year. Despite the extended breaks and endless stress that came with this past year, we wanted to look at some of the positive moments that came from the past 12 months and how much they meant to us. From there, we looked at Ethan Bear's new contract that got signed this week and what everyone thought about it after coming up with some guesses on what his deal would look like over the past few months. Needless to say, Bear will have to play a big role for the Oilers if they're able to take another step forward and it's been a lot of fun to watch him progress over the next couple of years. Next up, we looked at yesterday's game against Finland, offered some score predictions on the game to see how accurate our crystal balls are when it comes to our boys. Back to the Oilers, we also looked at Ken Holland's decision to improve his team's depth by signing Slater Koekkoek to a one-year contract as well as bringing in Devin Shore and Ryan Stanton on professional tryouts. Lastly, we wrapped up this week's podcast by offering a few New Year's resolutions for the Edmonton Oilers as they get started on their journey for a new season.
