Matt then talks about the Mk8 Golf R Wagon, and Joseph talks about the new Subaru Levorg, and an Amarok/Ranger based Land Rover Defender, and then we argue semantics. In der neuen Ausgabe von Übersteuern, dem auto motor und sport-Podcast über die Begeisterung fürs Auto, geht es in Büro 408 bei Jens Dralle und Sebastian Renz darum, wie sich Autos noch unterscheiden können, wenn sie sich technisch doch immer ähnlicher werden. Ein Bespiel? Gerne: der BMW Einser, der ja statt Längsmotor/Hinterradantrieb mit Quermotor/Vorderradantrieb daherkommt und mit dem die beiden gerade erst wieder auf Testfahrt waren. Da gibt es jedenfalls viel zu besprechen, auch über neue Elektroautos, die ja ebenfalls größtenteils auf ein Antriebslayout setzen. Oder darüber, welche Ideen, Philosophien oder Techniken die Hersteller einsetzen, um bei allgemeingegenwärtiger Technik dennoch ein einzigartiges Auto zu entwickelt. Mit dabei sind deswegen auch der Mercedes GLE, BMW Dreier, Audi A4, VW Golf und selbstredend der Subaru Levorg. Klingt zu technisch. Ach was, wird so kurzweilig wie immer samt dem dieses Mal besonders festlich geschmückten Wartesaal des Konjunktivs. Also reinhören!

Sensation bei Übersteuern, dem auto motor und sport-Podcast über die Leidenschaft fürs Auto. Denn: Die Bürokollegen Jens Dralle und Sebastian Renz haben nun beide einen höhenverstellbaren Stehschreibti… Huch nein, das ist ja gar nicht die Sensation. Sondern die Schalte nach Tokio. Denn während Sebastian Büro 408 hütet, ist der Chefreporter International, Jens Dralle mal wieder so richtig international. Und zwar auf der Tokio Motor Show, also weil es da schon dunkel wird eigentlich im Tokio Hotel. Und trotz aller Zeitverschiebung finden Jens und Sebastian fernmündlich zueinander. Im ersten Telefon-Podcast reden die beiden über den Stellenwert der japanischen Autoindustrie, darüber, welche Trends sie früher setzte und heute setzen will. Da tauchen natürlich auch eine Menge grandioser Autos aus dem Gestern und Heute auf: Honda CRX, Mitsubishi Sapporo, Mazda MX-5, Toyota RAV4, Nissan GT-R, dazu das Kirschblütenfest und das Fischrestaurant, der neue Kaiser und eben auch Franz Beckenbauer. Und natürlich alle wichtigen neuen Modelle von der großen japanischen Automesse. Herrjeh, das klingt alles ein wenig chaotisch? Na aber sicher doch, dazu vor allem aber kurzweilig. Denn selbst im fernen Japan gibt es den „Wartesaal des Konjunktivs“ und natürlich ganz besonders den Subaru Levorg. Also dann mal reinhören von Hallo bis Sayonara.

Subaru verpasst seinem Mittelklasse Kombi Levorg ein umfangreiches Facelift. Der Name Levorg setzt sich aus den Bestandteilen der Begriffe Legacy, Revolution und Touring zusammen.

Subaru has given its mid-size Levorg station wagon a major facelift. The name Levorg is a portmanteau of the words 'LEgacy', 'reVOlution' and 'touRinG'. This Subaru aims to win over buyers with its roominess, creature comforts and sporty elegance.

Und vor allem, ob es bei all den Fähigkeiten an Sicherheit, Komfort, Raumeffizienz und Motortemperament, die schon bei den Kleinwagen und Kompakten zusammenkommen, überhaupt noch größere Autos braucht. Können die wirklich so viel mehr, um die ganz erheblich höheren Preise und Unterhaltskosten zu rechtfertigen? Oder ist es nicht viel cleverer statt in Klassen in Längemaßen oder Leistungsbereichen zu rechnen? Na, die beiden klären das mal, kommen auf einer kleinen Reise durch die automobile Vergangenheit und Gegenwart vorbei vom Renault Twingo bis zum BMW X7, vom VW Passat I über den Porsche 964 bis hin zum – natürlich Renault Alpine und dem unvermeidlichen – sagen wir es gemeinsam – Subaru Levorg. Das wird ganz großes Hörkino!
