It was in 1973 that Terry was asked to take on the role of Mike Tucker in The Archers – “the Milkman from Hell” he says. Mike has suffered bankruptcy, depression, the loss of an eye, the birth of a downs daughter, the loss of his first wife and being knocked down by a car, and all this for a man whose disposition was not of the sunniest in the first place. However now Mike is missing from The Archers, we ask Terry if he's missing Ambridge?Sign up to Patreon here www.patreon.com/dumteedum See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

We have the second in the "villains" trilogy this week as JG and Kevin encounter Davros. As a thorough interrogation of who and what Davros is does this story live up to the standards set by its predecessor and really get inside Davros? How does Terry Molloy fare returning to the role? And is the episode able to pull off its social and political critiques while still delivering a compelling drama? Slip inside your Dalekanium shell, pop on your headphones, terrorise all life in the galaxy, pour a drink, and let's find out!
After a slightly longer break than planned, the boys are back! We open Series 6 with late 60's set conspiracy thriller The Impossible Astronaut/Day of the Moon and pair it up with 1970's conspiracy thriller The Ambassadors.........................of Death! Under discussion: How many ideas are too many in a Doctor Who story? Mark defends the controversial 'genocide' ending, more Big Finish proposals, a pitch for a controversial new reality show, why The Impossible Astronaut/Day of the Moon gets Nixon right and an analaysis of the idolatry towards a bright yellow roadster. ALSO: Ben and Mark relay how they came to meet Sylvester McCoy, Sophie Aldred, Terry Molloy and Jimmy Vee at Edinburgh's Capital Sci-Fi Con and an impromptu tribute to Elisabeth Sladen.
In this special Side Trip episode of the Traveling the Vortex podcast we feature a panel recorded at this year's BritishFest on June 4, 2017 with Terry Molloy, Frazer Hines, and Colin Spuall.

Is the panto important to the Archers and how is it possible to rerun the same storyline each year, while keeping the listeners interested? Betty's death Christmas 2005 is also remembered. No Lucy again this week so Roifield has the complex task of managing men as he is joined by Jed who does an amazing update on events in Ambridge, Terry Molloy, Yokel Bear and Andrew Horn. Despite initial objections they end up agreeing that the men are typically poorly written as characters with perhaps only Rob standing out from the crowd. It also tends to explain why Shula is having difficulties in her marriage. Numerous callers cover a huge swathe of issues - listen to every possible twist and turn they illuminate Pip's relationship with Toby (some great predictions there), Rob's ability to chill an iceberg, Joe's life expectation and the lengths the writers are using to keep Joe at Grange Farm whilst allegations of dogging were made against Alastair, the rural housing crisis is examined and the calls keep coming - a very busy week whilst Millie had a kind explanation of how "Yerr Mon" should be pronounced from its originator. Steve Pirate Parrett did tweets of the week Promises were made to do it... See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
Nick Briggs presents all the latest Big Finish news, listeners' emails and a randomly selected release from the BF archive, ably interrupted by his son Ben. Actor Terry Molloy also features!
Another mega issue this week - not 30, not 60 but 113 minutes and we welcome Davros to the team in form of Terry Molloy who gives a great run down of his involvement in The Archers since 1973, how the programme process has hardly changed over the last 40 years as well as answering questions from callers, not only about being Mike but also in his other acting roles. Mike and the team recall some of Mike's wonderful moments over the years and he hopes the right story will bring the entire family back to the village. Kosmo is very concerned about Lilian's credit card and will be contributing on Damara's position shortly. Witherspoon seems to be lamenting the quieter stories which are now asserting their rightful place in The Archers and Lucy disagrees and she loves that the tension has gone and she can now worry about Neil's eggs and painting the shepherd's hut. And in theory Helen is much safer now. And a special guest - a forensic scientist from Southampton - who provides much illumination on the blood... Okay, fess up. Who let the nerds out of the studio? This week, Haley and Jay surrounded themselves with the best kind of Texans: Whovian Texans. Whofest 2 in Dallas drew visits from none other than Colin Baker, Nicola Bryant, Terry Molloy, Nicholas Briggs, and Jason Haigh-Ellery to the southwest US, and the GPR team was there to embrace them (and in one fortunate fourth grader’s case, quite literally). Despite the obvious dangers of the Blinovich Limitation Effect, the Three Who Rule came together in Edmonton for a pre-Xmas, pre-Time Of The Doctor powwow. Besides many and various clips, rumours and idle speculatings about ToTD, the big news was the announcement that Rose Tyler herself, Billie Piper, will be a guest at Gallifrey One, mere weeks away! Other morsels of information also teased the jingle-belled minds of the RFS crew, topped off by a final set of interviews from Chicago TARDIS with volcano enthusiast Tracey Childs and notable Davros impresario Terry Molloy. And if lava and genocidal geniuses doesn’t capture the holiday spirit, what does? Nothing, that’s what. Check out the show notes at http://www.radiofreeskaro.com
