This series is a throwback series to when I started my podcast back in 2014 with a small camera and a handheld microphone that I borrowed from a close friend. Back then, podcasting wasn't that common and I didn't know know how to upload to a podcast platform yet, so it was only ever on YouTube until now. Excited to share and bring these episodes and memories back life in a time that I was heavily involved in CrossFit and made some great friends who kindly became my guests. Many things have changed for us all since the episode, so it's always fun to look back to where we were then and where we are now. Hope you enjoy it as much as we did. Alex Porter, Matiu Brown, Isaiah Papalii, Max Roache and Jan Zabawski Alex Porter shares some cool stories from his days as a Thai Boxer and now Affiliate owner of CrossFit Auckland.... Matiu Brown talks about how he came to find CrossFit from a Rugby League background and now trains to be the best athlete he can be at CrossFit Auckland.... Isaiah Papalii, a under 15 NZ Weightlifting record holder, talks about his latest trip to New Caledonia where he got to work with world renown coach Paul Coffa.

The Nomadic Executive | Discussions With Digital Nomads and Online Entrepreneurs
In this episode, we're joined by Timea, a world traveling digital marketer and digital nomad who believes that in order to best serve your client and their business, you've got to play the part of becoming the business owner yourself. Aside from digital marketing, Timea is an avid Mauy Thai boxer even though she's pretty tiny. Don't let her size fool you though, she's taken men down twice her size.Today's GuestTímea PintyeTimea grew up in Hungary and lived in Budapest until her mid-twenties. After graduation, she started working for Facebook's marketing agency but couldn't save enough on a Hungarian salary. One day she decided to leave it all behind, quit her job and moved to London. She managed to find a 9-to-5 office position that paid the bills and allowed her to go on weekend trips – but she wasn't happy. In 2017, she took the leap and quit her job. Again. That decision changed her life. She set up her own company doing what she's good at, Social Media Marketing.Soon enough, her dedication and passion for her work attracted more clients than she could handle. So, she hired her first employee. Then the next. Then the next. Today, she runs a massively successful digital marketing agency.Besides seeing the world and building her company, she also has another purpose now: helping others to do the same and promote the beauty of diversity. She travels to places with a bad reputation and ultimately shows them in a more positive and truer light to demolish the prejudices and bring people closer to each other.Timea:Website: https://multicultitravel.com/TikTok: https://www.tiktok.com/@follow.the.ninjaInstagram: https://www.instagram.com/multiculti.club/Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/multicultinet/Come find us at:The Nomadic Executive - NomadablesSocial Media:InstagramTikTokFacebook Group - Nomadables - Perfect to meet fellow online entrepreneurs, remote workers, and digital nomads.YouTubeLinkedInTwitterPintrestSupport the show (http://www.nomadables.com)

www.rachelmatthewswriter.co.uk/post/wecooklondon IG: @rachelmatthewswrites / @creativeconnections Jen Woodberry: Artist, Musician, Thai Boxer, Chef, Founder. www.wecooklondon.com IG: @bychefjen / @wecooklondon I'm back after the Christmas break to bring you more creative interviews with amazing guests, such as my next guest Jenny Woodberry, London's tastiest healthy chef, food writer and the food prep queen that founded, We Cook London. The We Cook team of professional chefs create home cooking solutions for busy Londoners by cooking fresh, healthy meals in the comfort of your own home. Jenny shares her personal journey with food and being an entrepreneur, which started when she was Thai Boxing competitively and prepping healthy meals for the team so they could meet their training goals. This was the start of something much bigger, she started her blog Miss Fighting Fit and was later cast for the BBC Two show, The Chef's Brigade. After the six weeks on the show working for a Michelin-starred chef to compete with Europe's finest restaurants, she crashed back down to reality. She reflects on the impact the show had on her career and how she picked up the business where she left off. Jenny is also a singer-songwriter and draws comparisons between songwriting and recipe writing. She breaks down the creative aspects of her business and tells me how she experiments with food and pushes herself to learn inside and outside of the kitchen continuously. What I love most about Jenny's experience is that she has been in all kinds of kitchens, from soup kitchens to fine-dining restaurants, warehouse canteens to her local fishmongers. She reflects on how the least glamorous work environments have provided the best place to improve her practice and leadership skills. Jenny is one of the most down-to-earth people I have met, and she has a clear passion for succeeding in business. Maybe one day we will see the We Cook London's healthy food revolution - where weekly visits from a personal chef replace the many Deliveroo takeaways! But in the meantime, I hope you enjoy our chat, and if you do, I'd very much appreciate you taking a moment to rate, review and subscribe to help other's find the podcast. "Smokin'" Jo Nattawut is one of the top Muay Thai fighters in the world. Jo talks with Big Shrimp today about his whole life, from growing up in Isaan, Thailand, and training as a kid, to taking a break and moving to one of the touristy islands, and opening a liquor store, to moving to the US, to rediscovering Muay Thai. This week's guest is quite possibly one of the toughest, fiercest women on the planet - seriously. Her name is Adi Rotem, and she holds no less than 2 WORLD championship titles in Thai boxing, from both the WAKO and WFCA organizations. As if that weren't enough, Adi holds a third degree black belt and seven consecutive Israeli national championship titles in mixed martial arts. She also served in the Israeli Defense Forces as a Krav Maga instructor, and has more recently competed in a reality TV show in the Enfusion style of martial arts. Basically, if it is a form of martial arts, Adi has either trained in it or won a title in it. When you hear Adi speak and tell her story, you'll immediately understand just how deep her determination goes. It's a very inspiring story that will help you understand just how much determination it takes to earn the title “World Champion." If you take away just one thing from this interview, it should be this: Hard work and determination outweigh natural talent any day of the week.
