Lucy Wolf is someone that I've known for some time. I consider her one of the stronger ladies that I have seen perform in TKD. This podcast will give you a little insight into how she started and flourished in a time when TKD was more male-orientated. Mrs Lucy Wolf was surprised that I contacted her to appear on my podcast, and that shows to me that she's not aware of how others have seen her as not just a role model for females in TKD but a good, strong role model for TKD. As well as continuing her journey in TKD and being a registered osteopathic, Lucy is now a mother of three children. However, she continues to teach and inspire the next generation of TKD students. If the students that she's teaching get a little bit of her inner strength and determination, they'll surely be great students.All about Lucy WolfLucy started training at the age of 7 and had a competitive career spanning over 25 years. She won 3 golds in ITF patterns at 4th & 5th degree - two of these in Korea. Lucy has also been a multiple world champion. After having three children, she's retired from competing but passionately teaches and coaches her students and members of the wider national team. Dr. Elizabeth Wako is president and CEO of Swedish Health Services, where she oversees an organization with more than 1,500 licensed patient beds, 48,000 annual inpatient admissions and $3.4 billion in revenue. ELIZABETH'S BIO NOTE| This episode is longer than usual→ ‘Top Of The Game (in) Overtime' shows are released occasionally In between immigrating from Ethiopia to America as a three-month old to running one of the largest healthcare systems in the country, a lot happens. In Dr. Wako's case: she was a nurse who became a doctor who ended up being chief medical officer of a hospital campus, then running two as chief executive, and is now CEO & President of an entire system, Swedish Providence. If that is not enough, somehow while working full time as a doctor and hospital administrator and being a mom to four young children, she obtained an MBA. She is remarkably at the top of her game.  As of the end of 2023, Swedish encompasses five hospital campuses, over 200 primary care and specialty clinics,  3700 physicians, 231,440 ER visits, just under 1 million outpatient visits, and almost $3 billion in revenue. With a career spanning three decades, Dr. Wako's path in medicine began at the bedside, as a registered nurse caring for psychiatric patients. Seeking a broader role on the care team, she went on to medical school in Utah and then to the University of Washington where she completed a residency in anesthesiology and a fellowship in perioperative medicine. Her past roles include chief medical officer and chief operating officer for Swedish's First Hill campus, and chief executive officer for Swedish's First Hill and Cherry Hill campuses.  Elizabeth holds an associates of arts (AA) in nursing from Walla Walla Community College, a BS from University of Washington, an MD from University of Utah, and an Executive MBA at the University of Washington. She is as accomplished as she is quintessentially human and we can all learn from her, I certainly have. Mifumo duni yam aji na usafi, matukio mabaya ya hali ya hewa, mizozo inayoendelea na mifumo duni ya afya vimezidisha adha na kuweka rehani maisha ya mamilioni ya watoto kote Kusini mwa Afrika.”Msaada wa UNICEF katika ngazi za kitaifa unajumuisha “utoaji wa maji safi na huduma ya usafi, kuweka tembe za kusafisha maji, sabuni za kunawia mikono,dawa za kuongeza maji mwilini, huduma ya kubadili mwenendo wa tabia, na kusambaza ujumbe wa kampeni ya kuishirikisha jamii na zaidi ya hayo UNICEf na washirika wake pia wanatoa msaada wa vifaa vya afya na mahema kwa ajili ya kukabiliana na kiwango kikubwa cha wagonjwa.”Kutokana na kuendelea kuzorota kwa hali hususani katika nchi zilizoathirika zaidi na kipindupindu sasa “UNICEF inaomba dola milioni 150 kwa aajili ya kuzisaidia nchi zote 11 zilizoathirika ikiwemo dola milioni 34.9 kwa ajili ya Malawi, na milioni dola 21.6 kwa ajili ya Msumbiji kuweza kutoa huduma za kuokoa Maisha kwa watu walioathirika na mlipuko huo.”Hadi sasa washirika wa UNICEF wameshachangia dola milioni 2.9 kukabiliana na mlipuko nchini Malawili na dola 550,000 kwa ajili ya Msumbiji.
