In a day of violence and high drama, former President Jacob Zuma's MKP failed to gain control of KZN. In this interview with Chris Steyn, Democratic Alliance (DA) Provincial Leader Francois Rodgers describes the scene after a Motion of No Confidence against Premier Thami Ntuli was defeated. “I think the people of KwaZulu-Natal and the broader public at large can now see what to expect under an MKP government…It was purely to gain power, to gain access into the government with no...clear direction whatsoever….When we'd done the voting and the Speaker had then closed the sitting down, she was hit in the face by an MKP member of the Provincial Legislature. The Secretary of the Provincial Legislature was also pushed around.…It was shocking and quite frankly nauseating.” Earlier the Speaker had to suspend the sitting because MKP became disruptive after the Speaker ruled against a secret ballot. “…she covered all her bases, but MK, like a spoiled child, just wouldn't accept it.” As for Zuma's presence in the chamber, Rodgers remarks: “Clearly, he must have been quite happy with the way his commanders behaved. Because if I was the leader of a party and I was in a legislature, and that's how my party members were behaving, I'd make sure they get a message to sit down and behave and take part in what should be a democratic process.”

Voting is under way in the motion of no confidence in KwaZulu-Natal Premier Thami Ntuli in the provincial legislature in Pietermaritzburg. A special council sitting has been convened to deal with the motion that the uMkhonto we Sizwe Party has brought against Ntuli.
KwaZulu-Natal Premier Thami Ntuli faces a critical test today as a motion of no confidence against him is put to a vote in the provincial legislature. The motion, brought by the MK Party, cites allegations of financial mismanagement and corruption. Ntuli, however remains unfazed, insisting his government is stable and focused on service delivery. The EFF has announced its support for the motion, which could potentially unseat Ntuli. Elvis Presslin spoke to KZN Provincial Legislature IFP Caucus spokesperson, Dr. Andile Biyela

What’s been making you doubt yourself lately? What do you think triggered that feeling? Today, Jay welcomes back his friend Roxie Nafousi to unpack what confidence actually looks and feels like, not the glossy, loud, performative version, but the quiet inner knowing that you are enough as you are. They start by breaking down how much of our insecurity comes from the stories we tell ourselves: the overthinking before we walk into a room, the mental replay after we walk out, and the way we let validation, or the lack of it, shape our worth. Roxie then opens up about something she’s never shared publicly: her long struggle with body dysmorphic disorder. She talks honestly about the thoughts that dominated her life, the fear of being seen, and the belief that changing her appearance would quiet the constant self-criticism. Jay meets her with compassion as they unpack how these patterns form, how they shape the way you move through the world, and how healing begins with learning to speak to yourself with empathy instead of judgment. Jay and Roxie offer a roadmap that anyone can follow: mastering your inner voice, letting go of the pressure to be liked by everyone, celebrating the small wins, and choosing to show up as the version of yourself your higher self would be proud of. In this interview, you'll learn: How to Redefine Confidence From the Inside Out How to Stop Seeking External Validation How to Manage Comparison Before It Controls You How to Think Like Your Higher Self How to Break Free From People-Pleasing How to Handle Rejection Without Blaming Yourself How to Replace Self-Criticism With Self-Awareness When you start choosing compassion over judgment, intention over fear, and growth over perfection, you slowly reconnect with the part of yourself that’s always been there. The journey isn’t about becoming someone new, it’s about finally seeing who you’ve been all along. No part of the game was good, so Alex and Scott cover performances but not much in details. This game left everyone in the NFL world talking about what we've been trying to get out there for years. The last episode of last season said it all... the "Vote of No Confidence" episode of season 7 aimed at Mr Ross. Now we see the results. For the record, we drafted Tyler Warren for the Dolphins.

The French Government has once again collapsed after Prime Minister Francois Bayrou lost a vote of confidence in parliament yesterday evening. Suzanne Lynch, Brussels Bureau Chief with Bloomberg brought us the latest.
France has been plunged into a fresh political crisis, with MPs voting to oust the prime minister. The BBC reports Francois Bayrou called the surprise vote of confidence on himself after huge opposition to his budget plans. France's National Assembly voted by 364 votes to 194 to eject him from office, and bring down his minority government. President Emmanuel Macron now faces a choice between calling a snap election or picking a fifth prime minister in less than two years. France Correspondent Catherine Field told Mike Hosking that part of the problem was Bayrou's attitude. She says he seemed to antagonise everyone he spoke to, and he didn't try to negotiate or seek coalitions. LISTEN ABOVE See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

In the latest Sunday Show, Chris Steyn hosts Renaldo Gouws, former Parliamentarian, podcaster and industrial psychologist. He speaks about the litany of woes besetting the once mighty African National Congress (ANC) that is now “bleeding” support: the breaking of ranks by Senzo Mchunu, the Police Minister on special leave, and long-time Jacob Zuma ally Malusi Gigaba. He warns that the raging factional battles in the party could force out President Cyril Ramaphosa if a secret ballot is allowed in the upcoming Vote of No Confidence. Gouws questions the “attempted hijacking” narrative around the attack on Police Portfolio Committee Chair Ian Cameron, as well as the political relevance of Deputy Defence Minister Bantu Holomisa who threw an on-air tantrum last week. Gouws further dissects the “double standards” at the heart of the saga of Kleinfontein, the Whites-only settlement threatened with demolition by the City of Tshwane. He also comments on his own Press Ombudsman victory against News24.

Tony Connelly, RTÉ's Europe Editor, discusses the prospect of a vote of no confidence in European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
Next week, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen will stand before the European Parliament in Strasbourg to face a no-confidence vote. This is the first time in over a decade that a Commission president has been dragged into such a debate. And although the outcome is all but certain, the motion is very unlikely to pass, it's more symbolic of the mounting pressure von der Leyen is under.
