In Sabah, rescuing and rehabilitating sun bears is only half the battle. The real challenge lies in preparing them for life in the wild, while addressing the root causes of their declining population: illegal trade and loss of habitat. All of this is covered in Macaranga's latest article, Helping Sabah's Sun Bears Return to the Wild, which also discusses how many released bears struggle to survive back in the wild, and why conservationists are stressing that keeping sun bears in their natural habitats and stopping hunting, is more effective than rehabilitation. We speak to Vincent Tan, the journalist who wrote the piece, Dr. Wong Siew Te, a Wildlife Biologist, Tropical Forest Ecologist, and the CEO and Founder of the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre (BCBCC), and Elizabeth John, the Communications Manager from TRAFFIC Southeast Asia, to learn more about the future of these vulnerable bears.Image Credit: ShutterstockSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Elton John, Delia Smith and Georgian billionaire Mikheil Lomtadze - just a few club owners that Iwan and Sam have encountered during their nomadic playing careers. With Swansea City starting a fresh chapter under new ownership and Cardiff City stagnating under Vincent Tan, the boys share their thoughts and memories over playing under various owners, and how boardroom drama can affect performances on the pitch. There's finally some positive news for Sam as he steps up his return from injury - but how can he force his way back into a team on a 10-game winning streak? And Carl makes a startling film confession.
Twelve managers in 14 years - there's certainly been a huge turnover in the Cardiff City dugout since owner Vincent Tan took over the club in 2010. Erol Bulut is the latest casualty, leaving the Bluebirds bottom of the table with a single point after six games. Who will they turn to next? Is a more radical change needed behind the scenes to ensure more managerial stability and success? And will we see Joe Allen back in a Wales shirt next month..?01'00 Wycombe fall to Villa 04'45 Erol Bulut's downfall 13'00 Breaking wind and nipple twists 17'00 Director of football role 21'00 The Cardiff contenders 26'45 Joe Allen Wales comeback? 33'20 Sophie Ingle injury 38'00 Newport lose again 40'20 Wrexham win again 44'20 Swansea moving up 51'00 The New Saints send shockwaves in the Cymru Premier
We chat to Ben from "View from the Ninian" and discuss all things "Cardiffy" - including current form, past managers, Neil Warnock, Vincent Tan, Red Shirts and badge changes, losing a generation of support, weird games, was Kaba really Sorry? Also we discover why Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is a lettuce! The prediction videos are strange as we have Tommy Mooney's stunt double and Ben and Jarvis appear to have gone very French Avant Garde cinema style! I ask all my clients to get legal advice when they are going through separation. When I have that conversation I often find that people don't want to go to a lawyer. They are scared of lawyers for different reasons. They think that if they speak to a lawyer, it will make the conflict get worse and that lawyers just want to go to court and not help resolve the issues. I agree that it is important you get a good lawyer that suits your needs. Someone who gives you options and is there to support you so you can make the best decisions possible. In this episode I speak with Vincent Tan who is a partner at Clairs Keeley and I ask him what he believes his role is as a family lawyer. What you should look out of in choosing your lawyer and other questions. This episode will give you clarity on why you need legal advice and how to best go about it. Please share this episode with anyone who needs it! The Seamless Separation program is designed to answer all the questions that you have about separation and address your needs for information and emotional support. It is NOT a group program as you all told me that is not what you wanted. You will spend 1:1 time with me, so I can coach you through your separation. Plus you will get videos and information outside of the coaching sessions. Visit www.seamlessseparation.com to register.

BEHIND THE SCENES: Commercial Director & Board Member @ Bristol Rovers, Tom Gorringe. The pandemic and Project Big Picture has accelerated the importance of clubs becoming financially sustainable. Stoke did it in Prem and Brighton and Burnley have been doing it. Tom and the directors at Rovers are not waiting on the Premier League to save the day, with a bailout, they have taken active steps and communicated a long-term sustainable strategy with their fans. A huge part of this strategy involves improving the infrastructure around to club to lead to youth and player development in a way that has worked wonders for clubs like Brentford and Southampton.Key Timestamps: 04:21: Life at Portsmouth - being the first Prem club to go into administration. 08:13: Life at Cardiff - the switch from blue to red & Vincent Tan walking into a pub in Cardiff. 14:11 Life at Brighton - best run club in the country. 17:19 Building Rovers - youth development and scouting, the effects of the pandemic, Project Big Picture, the salary cap and more.
I has been difficult for me to come out and talk about what has happened in my education journey because of the potential ramifications of my words. Whilst it is not in the recording itself, I was the receiving end of statements like "This is £20, or you could just send me a few pictures of your girlfriend." "Since we are performing a Japanese piece, why don't you go on and speak in a foreign language, it doesn't have to be Japanese and then we can break you up and you can introduce the piece in English. It will be quite funny." Is it really funny though? All these statements coming from someone you had for many years admired and respected. How would you respond to that? How would you respond when you request for a change and what you got in return was an email filled with hate asking you to reflect on your laziness and lack of motivation for your inabilities. For me, I started to see people for who they really are. Strip away everything and see a person for who they are. It is extremely unfortunate that what could have been the best four years of my life has been so badly tainted by the actions of a single person. It is scary how much we empower others to have control over us, so much control that we allow them to destroy and take away what we hold so dear to us. To anyone that is feeling this way, I encourage you to take back your dignity and control of your life.
