The FRESH TRUTH PODCAST comes from a group of Bible-believing, Christ-centred, budget-as Christians from South Auckland, New Zealand called Fresh Truth Ministries. Fresh = our Polynesian and Pasifika backgrounds, but also living in South Auckland in New Z
We're kicking off Season 5 of the FT Podcast with an insightful and encouraging conversation on a topic rarely talked about in Christian circles. In this episode, Brother Ronji joins us on the other side of the mic to talanoa/chat about the persecuted church, what the Bible says about persecution, and how he and his wife got into ministry serving persecuted brethren. He discusses the reality of Christian persecution around the world, the challenges some believers face for simply being a disciple of Jesus Christ, and what believers, particularly in the West can learn from those who are persecuted for the gospel of Jesus Christ. Brother Ronji offers up some wonderful challenges, encouragement and practical ways we can support and stand with our persecuted brethren. This episode is in many ways a reminder of the words of Jesus in John 15:18: “If the world hates you, you know that it hated Me before it hated you.” A timely and sobering encouragement for followers of Messiah to stand firm in biblical truth and the gospel of Jesus Christ, regardless of the cost. Be challenged, encouraged, and stirred to live more boldly for Christ, to grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ and to go and tell of the saving gospel of Jesus Christ. #SDGFresh Truth Ministries has been immensely blessed by the service and labour of our fellow uso Ronji, unto the LORD, through this #budgetbutblessed ministry. What a blessing and gift to the body of Christ to have Ronji speak on a subject that's dear to him for his final FT podcast before he and his beautiful wife head back onto the mission field to serve the persecuted church.

Kia orana fams, Manuia le tausaga fou!!! Happy new year team. Coming into a new year, we can often wonder what it holds for us. Sometimes this type of thinking goes into what the future of the world may be: What is the timeline? What does God have in store for His people? Is the end of time going to be filled with zombie's or some sort of virus controlling us (oh wait, is that us right now? LOL). We have many questions about the future because we're naturally curious about the 'unknown'. Well, VIIA LE ATUA He's already revealed some sections of the future to us. The study of this is called 'Eschatology' and it is what this talanoa is focussed on. In the study of eschatology, there are signposts God has given to His people to indicate what the future is holds. And guess what, He's the One who ultimately holds it ALL in His Hands. And if you've trusted in His Son, Jesus Christ, to save you from your sins and lead you in His will, then you'll be on the right-side of that future also. Have a listen to what we say about eschatology, and as we encourage often, apply a berean, prayerful attitude towards our thoughts by looking at the Word of God yourself. And excuse us for our fobbiness - there were some big words/terms used in this talanoa and we showed our freshness by attempting to sound poko/smart ha! (Oh nah, I mean, it was the wi-fi/Zoom playing up
Malo E lelei fams! It's been a minute since we've released a podcast episode. It's our honour to have Mr. Joe Pomelile sit down with the brother Richy Misilei in today's talanoa. That same faith carried him through to represent Tonga in weightlifting at this year's Commonwealth Games. And in that frame, Joe gives some advice to budding athletes. Fakalofa lahi at ki a mutoli oti, Crazy how time flies, doesn't it?! it's nearly the end of Oketopa (October)! Which means we're nearing..... October 31st! And what is traditionally celebrated on this day? Halloween! As Halloween becomes more and more commercial, its popularity becomes more and more celebrated in our Pasifika families. But what about Christians, is it a celebration for us as 'children of the light and children of the day' (1 Thess. 5: 5)? See what the FTM brothers have to say about this as they apply the lens of God's Word to this occasion! Tau Fakamonuinaaga! Mitaki e Atua!

Mālō le Soifua Maua ma le Lagi e Mamā, Our wonderful guest for this last podcast episode for the year #ChristInTheComunity, is the awesome Gillianne Ray, Samoan, and born & raised in Māngere, South Auckland (finally someone outside of the 274 ha!) but currently living in the Westside. A wife, mother and a passionate community worker and specialist adviser, you'll get hear a little bit about Gillianne's Samoan upbringing, but then how a certain act in her life made her reject the culture and ultimately belief in God. Listen to how Gillianne comes through all of that, back into the arms of our Mighty Saviour (who I might suggest, never let go of His daughter). Gillianne touches on is a very sensitive issue, so if listening to this brings up anything in particular for you, please reach out to us, and we can connect you to some good Christian professionals who deal with that particular topic. Wishing you all a blessed and wonderful Christmas, celebrating and acknowledging the Immanuel – 'God With Us', and a New Year in Him.“Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom His favor rests” (Luke 2: 14) Soifua, ma ia manuia.
Mālō le Soifua Maua ma le Lagi e Mamā, Things are opening up even more here in Aukilani but not enough for us to get our usual Podcast out. As we've mentioned, the Fresh Truth crew have developed a series of shorter Pods called #ChristintheCommunity, which are done online via ZOOM & are hosted by one of the Fresh Truth brothers - Richy Misilei (Samoan). CHRIST IN THE COMMUNITY highlights how different Christians in our neighbourhoods of South Auckland are representing Jesus, living out their faith, & being salt & light in our communities. Our wonderful guest for this Podcast episode is the wonderful Antoinette Tiatia, Samoan & born & raised in Ōtara, South Auckland (still carrying on that ‘Ōtara' theme lol). If you have a proper dictionary, next to the words ‘hard worker', ‘supporting behind the scenes', ‘slogging it out', etc., you'll find Antoinette's name next to it. Not only does she exhibit these traits in her extensive community work, but also in the gym. Check out this inspiring testimony from our sister in Christ and how her Christianity shapes her work. And oh, we've received feedback from people that they want to see faces, so this will be the first episode you'll see actual people talking, not just the audio. Soifua, ma ia manuia.
“Mālō le Soifua Maua ma le Lagi e Mamā, Our wonderful guest for this Podcast episode is Tia Suemai, Samoan & born & raised in Ōtara, South Auckland (‘Ōtara' is a common theme for the last few episodes – must be something in the water there.) We're not sure if there are enough words to describe this legend of a youth worker, but if you get the mayor of NZ's supercity to say this about you: “A remarkable youth worker…highly effective at reaching out to local young people … he will be a valuable asset to the communities he chooses to live and work in”, then you know you've made some waves in the water. Check out this inspiring testimony from this passionate follower of Jesus Christ! NOTE - Things are starting to open up here in Aukilani but not enough for us to get our usual Podcast out. So the Fresh Truth crew have developed a series of shorter (40 minute) Pods called #ChristintheCommunity. These Pods are done online via ZOOM & are exquisitely hosted by one of the Fresh Truth brothers - Richy Misilei (Samoan). CHRIST IN THE COMMUNITY highlights how different Christians in our neighbourhoods of South Auckland are representing Jesus, living out their faith, & being salt & light in our communities.
Malo e lelei family. With all the massive changes and challenges we're facing regarding vaxx/unvaxxed, mandates, rights, freedoms, people losing jobs etc, the FRESH TRUTH brothers wanted to share a short LOCKDOWN TALANOA trying to offer some Biblical perspectives to three areas - the vaxx, mandates & the role of the Church & Christians during these times. These are trying times we're facing. But as believers and followers of Jesus Christ, we have a hope, foundation & assurance in Christ & His Word that encourages us regardless of the times we're facing. As the Messiah Himself says in John 16:33, These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. We don't have all the answers, but we wanted to provide some views from Scripture. We welcome any (respectful) comments, questions or thoughts family so please share. We're also keen to pray for anyone too so let us know. Blessings in Messiah!
Fakaalofa lahi atu ki a mutolu oti. Auckland is still in its lockdown, so we still can't get our usual Podcast out. So the Fresh Truth crew have developed a series of shorter (40 minute) Pods called #ChristintheCommunity. These Pods are done online via ZOOM & are exquisitely hosted by one of the Fresh Truth brothers - Richy Misilei (Samoan). CHRIST IN THE COMMUNITY highlights how different Christians in our neighbourhoods of South Auckland are representing Jesus, living out their faith, & being salt & light in our communities, even during the lockdown period. Our amazing guest for this Podcast episode is Karl Tusini-Rex, Niuean & born & raised in Otara, South Auckland. Karl wears many hats… like A LOT! Too many to name here. Check out this inspiring testimony from our brother Karl. Fakaue lahi!
