    Ivy Insights

The Fundraising HayDay podcast, hosted by Kimberly and Amanda, is a must-listen for anyone interested in staying up to date with fundraising and grants. With their expertise and southern twang, these hosts bring a fun and lively approach to the often dry topic of grant writing. Each episode tackles grant topics with a dose of fun and spice, making it enjoyable to listen to. Additionally, they tackle tough conversations and invite leading guests in the industry, providing valuable insights for listeners.

One of the best aspects of this podcast is the sense of community it creates. As someone who has worked in Grants and Fundraising for over 17 years, listening to this podcast allows me to feel less isolated in my profession. The educational and entertaining nature of the show makes it highly recommendable for anyone working in a nonprofit, from Grant Professionals to Development Directors to Executive Directors and even Board Members. The hosts' humor and wit make learning about fundraising and grants easy and enjoyable.

While there are many positive aspects of The Fundraising HayDay podcast, there are a few potential downsides as well. Some listeners might find the southern twang of the hosts distracting or difficult to understand if they are not accustomed to that accent. Additionally, while the humor injected into each episode adds levity, some listeners may prefer a more serious tone when it comes to professional development podcasts.

In conclusion, The Fundraising HayDay podcast is an excellent resource for professionals in the fundraising and grant writing field. With its mix of education, entertainment, leading guests, and witty hosts, it brings a fresh perspective to an otherwise dry topic. Whether you're new to grant writing or a seasoned professional, this podcast offers valuable insights and best practices that will benefit anyone in the nonprofit sector. I can't wait for season 2!

When the guidelines are clear, it saves time and heartache for us all. Is that really too much to ask?
