Stronger Together: How Baby Booty Is Redefining Parenthood Fitness In this episode of the Boulos Beat, guest host Sasha Phillips sits down with Molly DeLong Brubaker to discuss how she transformed her background in startup marketing and her experience as a new mom into Baby Booty—a fitness and community platform designed for parents. What began during COVID as virtual workouts quickly evolved into in-person classes, built around a simple idea: parents need a space where they can work out, connect, and show up as they are—without leaving their babies behind. Baby Booty blends functional fitness with real-life parenting, offering classes where children are welcome and community is central. Each session combines a workout with dedicated time for connection, creating a supportive “third space” for parents to rebuild strength and identity. The business has grown largely through word-of-mouth, with many instructors coming from within the community, reinforcing its authentic and deeply personal culture. A key part of their conversation also highlights the real estate journey behind the brand's growth. Molly shares how moving from pop-up classes to a permanent studio required finding a space with easy access, ample parking, and a welcoming layout suited for parents with young children. With her first location in Portland and a second in Massachusetts, she reflects on navigating different markets, negotiating leases, and adapting spaces to fit her vision. As she explores expansion in southern Maine and considers franchising, real estate strategy remains central to scaling Baby Booty's unique community-driven model.

About the Episode: CMDCM Jacob Green joins the show for a real look beneath the surface of submarine life. The guys dive straight into what it actually means to live and lead in a world with no sunlight, limited communication, and nowhere to go but each other. From the pressure of those first 12 months onboard to earning your dolphins, Jake breaks down the grind, the expectations, and the culture that defines the submarine force. They get into everything from daily life underway, food operations, and damage control to the mental toll of long deployments with little to no contact back home. Conversations shift between leadership at the highest levels, building trust in tight spaces, and how sailors adapt when privacy doesn't exist, and every role matters. Along the way, the episode moves naturally between submarine life and broader Navy experiences. The crew trades stories and perspectives, including surface-side experiences like UNREPs and mail call during COVID deployments, adding contrast to just how different life can be across platforms. Jake shares his personal journey from high school athlete to submarine life, his first deployment experience, how he ended up on his first boat, and the lessons learned along the way. The conversation also touches on advancements in submarine technology, morale underway, and the realities of quality of life both at sea and ashore. From leadership philosophies to the small moments that keep sailors going, this episode captures the full spectrum of what it means to serve. These topics and more are covered in this episode. QUOTES from the episode: "You absolutely belong here. There are many paths into this industry, and there's room for everyone to thrive." - Cindy Zeis "Patience, facts, and science always win the day." - Sharla Riead "The future of women in building science is unlimited." - Nancy St. Hilaire In this milestone 150th episode of RESTalk, host Bill Spohn marks Women's History Month by highlighting the voices of women from across the RESNET® community. Through a series of short conversations, industry leaders share how they entered the world of building science, the mentors who influenced their careers, and how the industry has evolved over time. Their stories reveal that there is no single path into the home performance and HERS® ecosystem. Some entered through construction, the mechanical trades, and hands-on field work, while others came through sustainability planning, academic programs, or early energy-auditing efforts dating back to energy crises of past decades. What they share is a passion for solving complex problems in buildings and translating technical building science into practical solutions that improve comfort, efficiency, durability, and affordability. The conversation also explores the experience of working in a traditionally male-dominated industry. Guests reflect on early moments of needing to prove their credibility, walking onto job sites where they were the only woman in the room, and overcoming stereotypes about fieldwork. At the same time, they highlight the strong mentorship, collaboration, and respect that characterize the RESNET® network. Many have seen meaningful progress over the years, with more women becoming HERS raters, modelers, quality assurance professionals, and industry leaders. Looking ahead, the guests point to one of the biggest remaining barriers: visibility. Many people simply do not realize that building science exists as a career path. Their advice to the next generation is to stay curious, seek hands-on experience, build strong communication skills, and ground their work in solid science and ethics. As building performance becomes increasingly interdisciplinary, blending field diagnostics, data, standards, and software, the opportunities for women to influence and lead the industry are expanding rapidly. Their closing reflections capture the spirit of the episode: the future of women in building science is impactful, influential, and ultimately unlimited. In this episode of Next on the Tee, I'm joined by two of the game's top instructors to help you lower your scores where it matters most—on the greens. Since nearly 40–50% of our strokes are with the putter, eliminating three-putts can make an immediate difference in your game. First up is top instructor Tom Patri, who shares insights from a putting clinic he hosted at Twin Eagles in Naples, Florida. Tom breaks down the fundamentals of the putting stroke, including whether it should be straight back and straight through or naturally arcing, how to aim the putter face more accurately, and whether the “ball under your lead eye” setup rule is fact or myth. In segment two, I'm joined by Taylor Crosby, Lead Instructor at The Kingdom at Lake Oconee, who discusses how golfers can achieve more center-face contact, what he commonly sees during putter fittings, and the differences between mallet and blade putters. Taylor also reveals one of the most overlooked fundamentals that we don't practice enough. If you want to make more putts, eliminate three-putts, and gain confidence on the greens, this episode is packed with practical golf tips, putting instruction, and insights from two of the game's best teachers. #GolfPodcast #GolfTips #PuttingTips #GolfInstruction #GolfLessons #TomPatri #TaylorCrosby #PutterFitting #LowerYourScores #GolfImprovement

In this episode of the Nutritional Therapy and Wellness Podcast, you'll learn who Dr. Weston A. Price was and what his groundbreaking research revealed about the connection between diet, physical health, and human flourishing. Dr. Price's global studies in the early 1900s showed that traditional, nutrient-dense, properly prepared foods produced strong, joyful, disease-resistant people — while modern, processed diets led to degeneration within a single generation. Host Jamie Belz, FNTP, MHC explains how the Weston A. Price Foundation (WAPF) continues Dr. Price's mission today by helping people live healthier, more holistic lives. Through education, community, and advocacy, WAPF promotes ancestral wisdom — from properly prepared, nutrient-dense foods to lifestyle practices that support balance, vitality, and lifelong wellness. Then, Jamie welcomes fellow FNTP, Allison Mädl, who recently returned from the WAPF's Wise Traditions Conference in Salt Lake City. Together, they unpack the insights, research, and reflections she brought back — from nourishing, gourmet meals to saturated fat science, circadian rhythm optimization, fermentation, regenerative farming, and the revival of real-food education in schools. Key Takeaways The Legacy of Dr. Weston A. Price and how ancestral diets rich in fat-soluble vitamins, minerals, and enzymes built the foundation for strong bodies and resilient minds. Food Quality Determines Health Quality Properly prepared, nutrient-dense, locally sourced, whole foods — raw dairy, pastured meats, fermented vegetables, soaked grains, and healthy animal fats — remain the cornerstone of wellness. Nutrient density naturally balances appetite, stabilizes blood sugar, and sustains energy. Saturated Fats vs. Seed Oils: A Paradigm Shift Modern science is re-evaluating decades of misguided advice. Evidence now shows that natural saturated fats support longevity and hormone health, while industrial seed oils are unstable, oxidizing fats that accelerate inflammation and cellular damage. Cholesterol is Not the Enemy Dietary cholesterol doesn't raise blood cholesterol levels — high carbohydrate intake and metabolic dysfunction do. Cholesterol is essential for hormone production, cell membrane integrity, vitamin D synthesis, and more!. Light, Sleep, and Longevity Circadian rhythm is a biological foundation of health. Morning sunlight exposure, reduced nighttime blue light, and true darkness during sleep optimize melatonin production and activity, support mitochondrial function, and slow aging at the cellular level. Fermentation and the Microbiome Traditional ferments like kefir, kombucha, and natto restore microbial diversity and digestive resilience. Start small, vary your sources, and pay attention to how your body responds — real food is the most affordable and effective probiotic. From Soil to Sovereignty Regenerative agriculture proves that nutrient-dense food starts with healthy soil. Farmers using organic and rotational methods see higher yields, stronger crops, and better economics without chemical dependency — improving both land and lives. Real-Food Education Changes Generations Teaching knife skills, broth-making, and gardening in schools reconnects children with the source of their food. These skills build confidence, reduce dependence on processed food, and restore a sense of value and purpose in young people. Community Nourishes as Much as Food The Wise Traditions Conference exemplifies what happens when like-minded people gather around shared values of health, freedom, and stewardship. The table becomes a place of healing — for body, mind, and spirit. About Our Guest — Allison Mädl, FNTP Allison graduated as a Functional Nutritional Therapy Practitioner in 2014 and has served the NTA in various roles ever since. While Samantha and Steve were on vacation, her sister (and her sister's husband) overslept one morning and missed the excursion to swim with the dolphins. Sam's sister was very upset and wants her to pay her back for the excursion because Sam and Steve “didn't wake them up and just went without them”. Sam wants to just give her sister the money to keep the peace because her sister is notoriously difficult. Steve says that she treats her big sister like she's a saint, they overslept and missed the van that picked them up from the hotel, it's not their fault, no money. She says it's just going to cause problems; her sister is just difficult and it's easier to just give in. Anna and Meteorologist Ashley give you the opportunity to play Head's Up and have the chance to win a $50 Target gift card!

While crashing airplanes have been in the news a lot lately, there's another major problem currently plaguing aviation: the precipitous increase in ground damage incidents, along with their associated costs. Ground damage events occur when the aircraft is not flying, during taxi, aircraft repositioning, loading/unloading, fueling, and maintenance tasks. Our news story and resulting discussion come from the article, “From the Hangar to the Tarmac: Rising Trends in Ground Incidents,” published in the 2025 issue of Jetstream from the insurer Global Aerospace. Special Guest Jermaine Cadogan is the Lead Instructor for a revolutionary training program called the “Aviation Maintenance Never Events,” which was developed by Convergent Performance to provide maintainers and other support personnel effective methods to prevent ground damage events like those described in the article. Tony and “Caddy” discuss the root causes behind this rise in ground damage, the ways rising costs will impact the industry and passengers, how the industry and regulators might try to tackle this critical issue, and why the “Never Events” program is the solution, garnering support from aviation professionals in both the public and private sectors in the decade since its inception.

Josh Graham is a second-generation career firefighter with over a decade of experience in a large, fast-growing urban fire department in the Greater Toronto Area. In addition to his firefighting career, he has more than ten years of paramedic experience, having worked in both urban and rural settings. Josh spent two years in the Training Division as the Technical Rescue lead, where he developed programs across multiple disciplines to support his department's transition toward mandated certification. His programs focus on NFPA standards while ensuring crews are equipped with the necessary skills, training, and experience to operate effectively. He has also played a key role as a Lead Instructor in several Recruit Academies. In late 2023, Josh returned to the Operations Division and is currently assigned to a station housing both an Engine and a Technical Rescue apparatus. He continues to contribute to the Training Division as an Acting Training Officer and serves as a Lead Instructor for Rope and Water Rescue, Engine Operations, Search and Rescue, and Firefighter Survival. A firm believer in the historic culture of the fire service, Josh values camaraderie, craftsmanship, and the traditions that define the profession. While modern shifts emphasize safety culture and individualism, he believes that the strength of the fire service lies in its shared commitment to training, continual skill development, and the mentorship of future generations. His passion for the job is fueled by the enthusiastic passing of knowledge, experience, and tradition. Outside of work, Josh enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, as well as hunting, fishing, camping, mountain biking, and practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Josh curates a firefighting-focused Instagram page dedicated to sharing relevant training content and fire service culture. His goal is to showcase the confidence and effectiveness of aggressive firefighting, often misunderstood as reckless or dangerous—while highlighting its critical value in saving lives and property. @dumpdawg_jr Sponsorship: @southwest_fire_academy Editing: @bradshea Marketing: @m.pletz Administration: @haileyfirefit Partnership: @firefighternationhq
