    Welcome back to My Marketing Radio Show!So, I woke up today like any other day completed mt daily routine and had immediately jumped on the tasks which I was supposed to complete yesterdaySo I was listening to #joshforti and was completing the tasks he has and no sure what happened but I was hooked by another pathNo matter what I did my focus was on the other path and even my subconscious was whispering that that was a way cooler path than the one which I'm working on...I literally was convincing my subconscious that the current path is what I'm actually committed to and this is what I will do no matter what happensyet still, my focus was on the other path so I was like.     This was when I started jumping all over the place getting excited to know what actually was happening before anyone ever talks over a phone call to close a lead….I was working with this person and so wanted to see what he was doing to generate leads and to be frank I did not understand a single bit of it….actually I did not know I was just looking a part of it...So I did what most people do...I searched in google and Youtube on what happens before business and I saw all the videos with super curiosity…..Most of them were talking about having setting up business and traffic...oh traffic that's another whole interesting topic we can talk about later…. So I was walking what people were talking about and of them there was this one person who mentioned funnel…..The last time I heard funnel was back when I was studyingI believe we used it during our chemistry lab…so I was curious to know what funnels were andsearched the word funnels on Youtube and there he was “Russell Brunson”...looking like a 17 year old kid on the thumbnail….even in the video….and he was talking about what sales funnels were…..So when I was watching the video...I did not understand a bit of it….I was too fast for me, I was really bad at listening at first but gradually increased my focus and that's what I do now...anyways the video was too fast for me and I listened for a few minutes paused the video and rewind back and listen to it again and was doing this throughout the videoOnce I was done with the video it blew me away and I was super excited with what he was teaching and I started to go through all of his videos...one after another….Wow...he was spewing gold everywhere….I wanted to pick up all the golden nuggets he shared and I believe I wasn't able to sleep that night...I was thinking all night long….I was saying myself that I really want to do this….I was enjoying every second he was talking about sales funnels….And a thought kicked in me and I started thinking like Is this another shiny object syndrome? You are going to jeopardize this current opportunity you have if you focus more on funnels...and I actually wasn't feeling comfortable with all these thoughtsSo I woke up fast that day...and I did something I never did….I made a decision to decide what I have to do for the rest of my life...and I wrote down all my thoughts and I almost spend the next couple of days doing the same after a lot of thought I decided to go all in to learn and build sales funnels...it wasn't an easy decision...it was super hard for me to decideSo the first thing I wanted to know was to look at what Russell was talking about and catching up with what he is upto…Looking at all the videos and content he has out there...i was overwhelmed….And my mentor Mr.Dan Lok always says that being overwhelmed is good….I believe if you are overwhelmed at least once a day you are not learning or growing…. So I started looking at his website and that's when I came across his books...Dot Com Secrets and Expert SecretsI had no idea which one to get 1st….so I ordered them both…..and I get them in like a week or so and I started going through them and was like learning a ton about front end offers, backend offers, landing page and a lot more….that's when Russell came out to the open world and said that he was doing something crazy and he rewrote DotCom secrets and Expert secrets booksMy jaw just dropped down because he was also launching a new book called Traffic Secrets….and I was like WOW…. Of Course I ordered them and they are yet to show-up on my doorstep and I have super excited and in fact I have something to in my thoughts to do and share with you….Ahhh...super cool….Anyways, I know that there will be challenges that you will have to go through are already going through….and there will be choices you would not be really comfortable to makeAnd I wanted to say that I understand you….and I know what you are going through….I came across this phrase which changed my view on almost everything...which is“ Lean into the problem” and that exactly what I'm doing right now….Anyways…until next episode….Oh Oh Yessss!If you'd like to know the 3 Marketing Lessons I discovered while building my 1st sales funnel.go to https://www.mymarketingradio.com to grab the video where I share what I discovered. Join the Facebook Community of like-minded people where we geek about all about sales funnels and marketing 

    MMR 1:The Path I Walked

    It was back in 2015 my career as a software engineer started & was working 9-5 work-life and wasn't actually interested in software lifestyle from the start and in fact I'm not sure why I got selected in the first place :p There was this specific day where it was super stressful and there were other days that I had some challenges but this was different, I had to stay overnight and on top of that I had a steamy conversation with my boss...I wasn't like super cool with what happened and I started thinking like, how can all these people around me keep up all of this? I wasn't happy thinking that my life would be like this day in and day out... quite frankly I felt like this is not what I signed up for...That's what iI started to see what others were doing to escape the 9-5 lifestyle.... That's when I came to know about the whole internet world, and I started to follow a few people to see, if there is a way that I can quit this job so that I can have some peaceful days...All I wanted was a place where I can enjoy what I do...it's crazy to think back, I really do not know what I did back in my 9-5 job….i had a few tasks and I used to complete them daily...and it was like eat, sleep, and complete the tasks and do all over again…Anyways, it wasn't fun & all I ever wanted to do was have my own business and so that I can quit my job and give my wife the comfort of quitting her job as well, so that we can actually stop running after something we don't care about and settle down for onceIn order to quit my job, I had to first find out what to do and I dabbled here and there for a while, where I started my Amazon FBA and it was a disaster….I searched for a best winning product, and did all kinds of stuff that the people were teaching and I selected a product and I ordered a whole bunch of them and sent to Amazon fulfillment center...and I started dreaming like….that's it….my life is going to change anytime soon….I even started talking to my supplier on sending the next shipment and was asking for discounts and stuff….And was waiting for my first sale….first day went by...2nd days was done...a whole week was gone...before I realised that I launched aviators in winter…..coming to think back now “what a dumb move” I still laugh on that.....Then I came to know about the whole drop-shipping model and e-comm business and had some success with there where I was doing and was making like $9 for every sale I made after the expenses….and that did not last long….it wasn't long before I started losing money to acquire a customer...so I had to put a hold on that as well...I was doing all this and at times….I was scared like hell just thinking that my wife or my parents could ask me what I was doing with all my money, because I wasn't saving like I was supposed to and instead spending almost all my salary on building that business...That's what started me to think about what businesses exist where I do not have to put forth you know...generational wealth to build my business….and that's when I discovered one of my mentors, Dan Lok, and the art of closing deals over the phone.The first time I heard of this...I was like...is that even legal? What, I can call people on phone and sell them stuff….It was such an awesome thing because till that time I did not know that I can call people on the phone and close deals…And then I started to learn this art from Mr. Dan Lok and before I knew it, I was spending hours and hours of time practicing the techniques, and knowing ton's of people and enjoying stuff….A few months passed by and I started looking for people who I can close deals for...and I was talking to a whole bunch of influencer's and started working with a few, not going to take any name...just to let you know….Me and the influencer used to talk on what's going to happen and how many leads will I have daily to talk to and commission structure and everything and we would move ahead…The day came where I was supposed to start closing and it was crickets….there were no leads….I was like okay, leads will come pretty soon….Pretty soon turned out to be a few weeks and they weren't as many leads as I thought….even if they were leads, they were dead cold…. And if you have ever closed a deal, you would probably know that it's super hard to convert cold lead into a sale…Still I got a few deals closed here and there and closed like $15k in sales in like 2 months doing part time….and in order to improve my closing ratio I was practicing different techniques with people I know and... Also, out of pure curiosity, I started looking how the influencer was generating leads, and I did not have any clue, as I did not understand that back then….So I started looking in youtube, google everywhere for people who can best explain me on what are things that go before the actual business…And that's when I found Russell Brunson and the Funnel Hacker Movement he created…I saw that there were a few books that he wrote which were best sellers and, I ordered one of his “Dot Com Secrets” Book I was just blown away with the content in the book….where was this person all this time? That's when I started understanding what a sales funnel, the lead magnet, the webinar were...!Only if I knew this before I could have used sales funnels in my e-comm business and all the business I was excited about...  There was this challenge that Russell mentioned, where he said that all your existing problems will be solved if you published for a yearAnd I was like, oh yeah!
