The mirror technique also encourages the customer to share more information, as they feel validated and acknowledged. It's important to use this technique subtly and naturally, without overdoing it. By incorporating the mirror technique into your conversations, you can elevate your sales game and establish stronger connections with customers.   Strategic Silence: Confidence is key in negotiations, and one way to exude confidence is through strategic silence. Instead of rushing to respond, take your time and allow moments of silence to hang in the air. This gives the customer an opportunity to process what has been said and potentially overcome any challenges or objections they may have. Strategic silence can also be used to plant a seed in the customer's mind, allowing it to sprout and influence their decision-making process. By mastering the art of strategic silence, you can create a more impactful and persuasive sales experience.   No-Oriented Questions: In sales, we are often taught to get customers to say "yes." However, using no-oriented questions can be just as effective, if not more so. People are more comfortable saying no, as they have been doing so since childhood. By asking questions that elicit a no response, you can counter the counterfeit yes and encourage more honest and authentic communication. For example, instead of asking, "Would you like to schedule a test drive?" try asking, "Would it be a bad idea for us to schedule a time for you to test drive the vehicle?" This approach allows the customer to express any concerns or hesitations they may have, leading to a more productive and transparent conversation.   The F Word in Negotiation: The F word in negotiation is not what you might expect. It's fair. Many customers want to feel that they are being treated fairly throughout the sales process. By addressing fairness head-on, you can establish trust and build stronger relationships with customers. Instead of asking if something sounds good, try asking if it sounds fair. This simple shift in language can make a significant difference in how customers perceive your offers and proposals. Remember, sales is an emotional process, and fairness is a crucial component of creating a win-win situation for both parties involved.   Role Playing: Role playing is a powerful tool for honing your negotiation skills. By practicing different scenarios with colleagues or managers, you can prepare yourself for various challenges and objections that may arise during real customer interactions. Role playing allows you to refine your responses, experiment with different approaches, and gain confidence in your ability to handle any situation. While some may be hesitant to engage in role playing, it is an essential part of becoming a top-performing sales professional. Embrace the opportunity to practice and improve your negotiation skills, and you will see the results in your sales performance.   Labeling Customer Emotions: Understanding and addressing customer emotions is crucial in negotiation. By labeling their emotions, you can create a more open and transparent dialogue. If a customer seems hesitant or concerned, acknowledge their emotions by saying something like, "It sounds like you're feeling hesitant about the price." This demonstrates empathy and shows that you are attuned to their needs and concerns. The entrepreneur with “the drive and the fire to make a difference” (Steve Wozniak) and the author of Doing the Impossible guides you through a series of questions that help you identify your deepest why—the root cause of your issue—and stay focused to calmly and effectively make decisive and impactful decisions to move you closer to your ultimate business goals. Behind every entrepreneurial success is a constant process of addressing issues, not just solving problems. If you address issues correctly, you can prevent problems before they arise. In Solve for X, Patrick Bet-David outlines a four-step process for identifying your deepest why—or the root cause of your issue—which will dictate the future of all of your business actions: First, you must qualify the issue: Is it a problem? Is it an opportunity? Issues need to be specific, bounded, and finite. Second, you must identify the issue: What is giving rise to this issue? What happened for this to be an issue in the first place? You should name as many reasons as you can think of until you exhaust the reasonable possibilities of the possible causes underpinning the issue. Third, you must quantify the issue: Once you identify what's causing the issue, determine which causes are the most important. Strip away all of the possible causes you have little or no control over. Eliminate all but the top three causes. Finally solve for why: Once you've identified the three top causes, take each cause, and start asking “Why?” When you get to the place where you can't logically ask this question anymore, you will find your deepest why and the real cause of your problem. Why are team standards important?It's what you fight forComradery What you coach toHow to establish?Meet with your team on zoom virtually or in personTalk about how this is not the leader's team, it is our team. Cancel the team standards you have already if you do have one or just create new ones if you don't have one. Ask every person on the team to create the team standard they would use if it was their team (because it is) , and ask them publicly why they picked that standard and what it means to them.Go around and answer this activity with every person you have. Then Vote on the TEAM'S favorite standards together. That is now your new identity that you can fight for, get closer with, and coach to. The action items afterMake sure the team standards are visible - get gear for the team, get signs if you're in the office, send an email if you're virtual, constantly make traditions to keep the team name brought up and keep reminding your people what it means and what you stand for. Talk about the team standards while you're teaching/coaching. Share individual stories and share group stories about the team name and how it plays a role in everything you do. Have your team members repeat the same activity ^^^^ and get them talking about the team standards and how it plays a role in their lives. Every meeting on the first slide or first page should always be the team name and standards. Every new team member that comes in should be trained on the team name and standards first. Support the show

Imagine if it was posted on the wall for everyone to see?It helps you coach people. If someone is struggling you have your eyes on it right away, if someone is doing great you can prop them out right away. It helps you keep your eye on the gauge and always know how your team is doing whether you are there or not. It helps you publicly announce more important things like contests, personal things, funny things, team standards, etc. that you can put on this front page along with the production tracker to keep the main things in your business present. How to establish a front page?Make a google doc or live excel sheet that everyone can update once you share with them. (if you don't know how please google)Pimp your board - add 3-5 most important things you want present along with the production board. Hi, Thanks for watching our video about The Chain Of Command.The Why?A lot of times in companies I mentor and train I notice the main leader or owner handles a variety of things that are not worth the value of their time. A leader gets phone calls and emails with questions or concerns about technology, and the coffee area, and time off, and questions on the process, and personal issues, etc. That is too much for 1 person to handle! What ends up happening is that the leader has no time to focus on the bigger things and spends most of their days dealing with tasks that are not worth their time or repeating things or sending folks to other people to get the answer. The Solve?Make a chain of command. If you have money and are growing then start hiring people to handle the tedious tasks that take your time. Have a HR person, have a tech person, have an assistant. If you don't have the money - then ask players on your team to own things for you. For example I would have a girl on my team that enjoyed getting the team together to be in charge of our events and planning and she had full ownership of it, so when I would get a question about an event I would route them to her because she was fully in charge. You can break up the tasks you handle and give ownership to people on your team and reward them for a good job. If you don't have money and don't have a team - You can use third parties and outsource like task rabbit or fiverr. They offer services across the country for a very cheap fee. I met Joey and someone told me he has Autism growing up. I was shocked because I had no idea he had anything growing up. He was confident, funny, talkative, and a great kid to be around.. He actually was the life of the party anywhere we would go. My biggest takeaway from doing this podcast with him is your environment is everything ESPECIALLY for kids growing up. Bullying and name calling can ruin someone's upbringing and make a medical condition even worst. Support and love from people around you can make a medical condition vanish and become unknown. Make sure that if you see anyone in your life struggling medically or just naturally you are the person to support them and help lift them up and not put them down because you can create another Joey. His life could have went two ways and we are blessed and fortunate it is going in the uplifting way of success, love, and a fulfilled life. #Autism #AcezMotivation #AcezAcademySupport the show

The best way to convert more leads is increase effort and double check status by using a top performer to resell that lead/client. If you have someone new or that is not the best, do a mid call and a check up before the final presentation. If you have someone who doesn't get a deal but you know it makes sense, get your top performer or leader on the line to do a second call. How should dealerships handle selling cars in a climate with no inventory? There are many opportunities to increase inventory and sell more cars than ever before.  Sean and L.A. breakdown a few options for increasing inventory. Dealerships have to be willing to do whatever they can to create an inventory abundance. Does the dealership have a vehicle buying center, also known as a VBC? If not, ask why? Instead of only selling cars and hoping for inventory to appear, try buying cars! Network with local dealerships of all types. Most customers are trading in a vehicle when purchasing a new one.  Auctions are a great resource, but remember - the car goes to the highest bidder and that's before any additional auction fees. The point is to get GREAT at selling used cars. Become a used car powerhouse and watch sales boom. Exhaust every option because there is always a way. Does your dealership offer used car leases? If not, why not?  Customers come to the dealership with a vehicle in mind and in today's climate, it may not be in stock. The first step should be to not panic. Check the inventory and try to sell what you have in stock. Second step, if the vehicle is not in stock be prepared with vehicles in stock that are similar.
