In this episode of The Russell Brunson Show, I'm sharing a live Q&A from the One Funnel Away Challenge! I jumped in to coach a few entrepreneurs in real time. We talked about everything from tech setup for presenting, to simplifying your funnel so it converts, to making your webinar headlines more relatable. One person asked how to manage slides, comments, and delivery without getting thrown off. I walked through how I use Google Slides in presenter view, why I don't look at comments live, and how I use two monitors to keep things flowing. Later, I broke down a funnel that was trying to do too much. I explained how to simplify by starting with one core product, then use OTOs to stack value and increase average cart value. We also looked at webinar registration…. Why curiosity matters, how to rewrite headlines to speak to your audience's current situation, and ways to promote without jumping straight into ads. I shared thoughts on price points too… because a $10K offer on a webinar is a tough sell if you haven't built the right runway. Key Highlights: The right way to set up your slides and screens when presenting Why I avoid reading comments live (and what I do instead) How to simplify your funnel by leading with one clear product Adding upsells after the sale to increase conversions Tips for creating curiosity and rewriting webinar headlines Why $500 to $1K is the sweet spot for most webinar offers If you've ever felt overwhelmed by your tech, your funnel, or your messaging… This episode will help you tighten it all up! https://sellingonline.com/podcast https://clickfunnels.com/podcast Learn more about your ad choices. In this episode of The Russell Brunson Show, I host a live Q&A with the One Funnel Away and Prime Mover communities, and we dive deep into some of the biggest marketing challenges entrepreneurs face. People brought me real, in-the-trenches questions about how to get more traffic to their webinars, what to do when a replay isn't converting, and how to start scaling high-ticket offers without blowing up their ad spend. I walk through how I approach new offers inside ClickFunnels, why starting small is often the smartest play, and how to quickly create proof and momentum before trying to scale. I also share how to think about sales processes for different price points and when it makes sense to shift from an automated webinar to a sales call for maximum conversions. Key Highlights: Why most webinar replays fail and the simple process change that makes people actually watch and buy How to launch a new offer without paid ads using the Dream 100 and podcast outreach strategy When to sell directly on a webinar versus when to push leads to a sales call for higher price points The fastest way to build proof and testimonials for a brand-new program or course Why positioning yourself as a niche expert beats being a generalist if you want easier sales and higher conversions The conversations in this Q&A are packed with practical takeaways you can apply immediately. Whether you're in the early stages of building a funnel or trying to scale to the next level, the answers here show how to create traction without relying on luck or huge budgets. If you focus on proof first, build momentum one step at a time, and use your Dream 100 to get in front of the right people, you'll set yourself up for the kind of growth that lasts. https://sellingonline.com/podcast https://clickfunnels.com/podcast Special thanks to our sponsors: NordVPN: EXCLUSIVE NordVPN Deal https://nordvpn.com/secrets Try it risk-free now with a 30-day money-back guarantee! In this episode of The Russell Brunson Show I'm back in the car… Just like the old days! I'm sharing what's been happening behind the scenes at ClickFunnels, Secrets of Success, and my personal life. We're in a challenging season, but in the best way possible. I'll walk you through the funnel testing process we're deep in right now, the real reason “You're One Funnel Away” still rings true, and the surprising moment at an Atlas meeting that led to one of the biggest breakthroughs I've had in years… the birth of the 1357 Club. If you've ever struggled to dial things in and stay focused through all the chaos of business, this episode will ground you. I also talk about some recent changes in my scripture study habits… Reading not just for knowledge, but for revelation. This isn't just marketing advice. It's personal. It's practical. And if you let it, it might just reframe how you approach your mornings, your business, and even your faith. Key Highlights: Why ClickFunnels is in “discovery mode” and how that's a good thing The 1357 Club: How Napoleon Hill, a rare journal, and a Zoom room of entrepreneurs sparked a movement Why 13 minutes and 57 seconds might be the most productive part of your day The real math behind scaling paid ads (and what I'm doing to beat the rising costs) How to build offers that seamlessly integrate with your back-end software or affiliate goals A new way to read scripture with purpose: revelation over routine Bottom line: Business is a battle. But it's also a beautiful game when you learn to play it with the right mindset, frameworks, and spiritual grounding. This episode is a front-row seat to how I'm navigating both worlds… funnel building and faith… At the same time! Finding time to squeeze it all in is a challenge for most podcasters and entrepreneurs. It becomes even more challenging when you are a solopreneur. On the episode today, we help Kevin Davis find ways to get more time in his week. He is host of the podcast "4 Pillars of Health With Kevin Davis". You can find it at KevinDavisHealth.com. Podcast: 4 Pillars of Health on Apple Podcasts STRATEGY CALL If you would like help getting clear how to use your podcast to drive your business, join my next workshop. You can get details at www.PodcastTalentCoach.com/workshop. Each month, I help a group of coaches get clear how to fill their pipeline with potential clients. We cover the exact steps to covert your listeners into clients. You can't keep wasting a bunch of time and energy on a podcast that isn't doing anything to grow your business. It's time to take action, and do something different. Get the details at www.PodcastTalentCoach.com/workshop. THE IMPORTANCE OF TIME There are two truths about time. There are only 168 hours in the week. And, we all have the same 168 hours. So, why do some get so much done and others struggle to accomplish anything? Those who succeed know where to spend their time. Most time management tools have you schedule your time, prioritize your tasks, and delegate where possible. All of those are smart ideas. However, to grow your business you need to spend time on the right activities. Those activities should be in your zone of genius as Gay Hendricks calls it in his book "The Big Leap". Your activities should also actually drive the business. As Michael Gerber says in his book "The E-Myth Revisited", work ON your business and not just IN your business. Knowing where to spend your time is more important than knowing how you spend your time. You could spend hours making your website look perfect. But, is that really driving business? Wouldn't you be much closer to your revenue goals if you spent more time attracting, closing and working with clients and customers? THE HARD WAY I learned this the hard way. My website sucked up months of my time and at the end of the day ended up a trash heap. When I started, I got one of those "drag-and-drop" website builders and got started learining how to build a website. Now understand, I know nothing about websites. But I figured I was saving a ton of money. After I got the website up, I discovered Wordpress and themes to build a website. That's when I realized I could save a lot of money by building my site on Wordpress and hosting with HostGator rather than the pre-built solution. Again, I didn't know anything about building a website. So, I found someone on Fiverr to recreate and improve my website on Wordpress. It cost me $300. That's $300 total. I had just spent months trying to build a 3rd grade website, when I could have spent $300 to hire someone. Most importantly, I could have spent those months having sales conversations with people I could help. I could have spent time getting clients and growing the business. THE EASY WAY Now, I hire an expert when the task it outside of my zone of genius. I want to spend my time helping coaches attract their ideal clients with their podcast. When I moved my email autoresponders from Aweber to ActiveCampaign, I hired my virtual assistant to move it. It would have taken me hours. Instead, I spent that time growing the business. When I needed to build my funnel by connecting my webinar service to ClickFunnels and my shopping cart, I hired a funnel builder. It would have taken me months to figure out how to build a funnel. I even started the One Funnel Away challenge. Half way through it, I realized I was out of my lane. Instead, I spent that time talking with coaches who could hire me. SCARY TIME It is scary to spend money when you're building your business. Every dollar counts. In economics class, I discovered opportunity cost. It is the loss of a potential gain from other alternatives when one alternative is chosen. When you choose to spend your dollars on one option, you cannot spend that money on another option. Time is different. When you spend your money on one option, you get your time back. You can then spend that time making more money than you spent. How much is your coaching? I assume it is much more than you would pay a virtual assistant. Hire a VA for three hours, and spend that time landing another client. Spend your time in your zone of genius. Welcome back to the Marketing Secrets podcast. Today, we're going day into number three of the Five Day Lead Challenge. Hopefully, you've enjoyed the last two episodes. If you haven't listened to those yet, make sure you get them all in order, because they all build upon each other. But this is day number three. And today we're talked about creating your lead funnel, right? Day number one we talked about the strategy of generating leads online day. Number two, we built out your lead magnet and now on number three, we're going to start building your lead funnel. This is the most basic, most simple and one of the most powerful types of funnels you can create. So we'll be talking about that during today's episode. Once again, this is from a video event that we did, and so if you want to see the videos and see the screenshots and get the one pager homework and all that stuff, you can get those for free at fivedayleadchallenge.com. So that said, I hope you enjoy this episode on creating your lead funnel. Welcome to day number three of the five day lead challenge. Have you guys been enjoying this process so far? I'm actually really curious. This is the first time we've ever done training like this where we go live every single day. A whiteboard out with strategy. We give you the tactics. We give you the one pager, and you go do the homework assignment. I'm curious and I'd love to know the comments. I'll read these afterwards, but let me know in the comments if you guys are enjoying this process. I think it's a fun, cool, new way to train. So if you do like it let me know. If you're getting a lot of value out also I'd love to be able to see it. Let me know in the comments down below. One really cool thing that I'm excited about that I'm kind of let guys know and then we'll jump into the training. As we were planing this I was having so much fun with it. A lot of you guys know we do a training called One Funnel Away. How many guys I've ever heard of the One Funnel Away challenge or been part of the One Funnel Away challenge? Okay, so we launched the One Funnel Away challenge, man, about two years ago now. And in the last two years over 70,000 people have gone through which is crazy. So thank you. I hope you had a chance to go through and you enjoyed it. But it's been two years and I love teaching. I get excited and like, I don't know about you. Every time I talk about something, I get off stage. I'm like, "Oh, I want to do it again. I can change this. I can tweak this. I can make it better." And I really decided after OFS like I want to do it again. And I'm really enjoying this process and so I talked to my team. I was like, "What if we did OFA again, but this time do it live?" And do it live over 30 days where we do the same process. So I come up here, I talked to you guys for 30 minutes or so, give you a one-pager, and give you a homework assignment and go every single day over 30 days and the end of it we do the next year, right? This whole five day lead challenge is all about getting your first lead funnel, getting leads coming in. The One Funnel Away challenge is about creating it for sales funnel. We're actually selling products and making money. So my question to you is if we were to do that, if we were to go and do One Funnel Away live starting Monday, how many has to be interested in being part of that? If so write in the comments down below 'cause I'm pretty sure that's what we're planning on doing 'cause I am really enjoying the process. I don't want it to stop. I want to do this every day for the next 30 days. So, anyway, we'll talk more about that towards the end of this week. But if you guys are interested to extending this experience and going from here, here is me generating leads like know how to start selling products and building out for our sales funnels? That's what the new One Funnel Away challenge is gonna be. It's gonna be simplified from the old one. Every single day, we'll have a one pager or a homework assignment and it will be really fun and it'll be exciting. So that's happening later on this week. So I want to let you guys know about. Starting next week, Monday, we're gonna start the new One Funnel Away challenge. So, anyway, that's kind of what's happening. All right, with that said, I'm gonna jump into today. We've got so many fun things. How many, by the way... How many guys went and did the assignment yesterday and actually got your one pager account set up and created your very first one pager, your very first lead magnet, okay? We were watching the comments and the things that's been a little bit of chaos on our side. Obviously, one pager is a brand new product. Yes, you're the first people ever to use it. And I've already seen so many people creating one pagers, people finding a couple bugs which has been nice. Let us know. We're trying to get all the things fixed up. There's a lot of cool new features and this is coming out a bit. As of right now, it's pretty cool, right? And like all the one-pagers that I'm giving you guys, I built those myself. That was me and I'm not technical. I was able to build those, it took me a little while and I had so much fun with it. And so, like I said, literally today I'm gonna start working on the One Funnel Away one pagers 'cause I got all the one pagers for this we had done yesterday, actually. So, anyway, I hopefully enjoyed one pager. If not, if you haven't do this homework yet, make sure you go back to day number two, which is yesterday, watch the training, get the one pager and then go and create your one pager. That's how you're taking your framework we talked about and turn it into something tangible that you can trade somebody in exchange for their email address. Okay, and one pager is the coolest way I've ever found to do that. So that's exciting. Okay, so before I dive into today. This is me like... One my favorite things about my role in this whole game is I get to do cool marketing stuff and then I get to tell you guys what I'm doing because I feel like I'm the wizard of all of these. Like I do something amazing and I'm like, "Hey, come down we got it. Let me show you what we just did. Okay, so yesterday we talked a lot about frameworks. Now I want to... Again, I'm gonna open the curtain and show you guys kinda what's happening, right? When we plan out the five day lead challenge what did I do? I said, "Okay, what's the end result." The end result, we're trying to get somebody, right? Just to create a funnel with leads coming in. It's okay to do that. If I was to break down over five days of all the frameworks I have, that I've taught, that I know, that I understand. What are the frameworks that people need that they'll have success and be able to do that, right? And so day number one, I shared with you guys the overarching framework, right? Here's the big framework of how to generate leads online. Okay, that's how day number one was. Kind of a big broad overview of like this is how it works, right? And works through all the pieces. Like you have to have a lead magnet, then you got to have a squeeze page, then you got to have an email sequence and you have to drive traffic. And so day one was me sharing the framework of the entire week, right? And then, yesterday, if you guys noticed when I taught all ideas, I had three frameworks I taught you guys, did you catch this? Okay, I had three frameworks, okay? How many of you guys remember? The very first framework that I showed you guys was my framework. I'll go back here and show you this. Let me flip my whiteboard back over. Okay, the first framework I talked about with you guys was this one right here, right? I'm talking about who is your dream customer, what's the result you're trying to get for them and then what are the steps to that journey, right? Okay, so that was the framework I taught you guys. Now when I taught you guys, did you notice how I taught this? I didn't just say, okay, here's how the framework works, right? The way I taught it, is first off what I did as I told you the story about how I learned to earned it, right? And then I walked you through the overarching strategy. Here's the concept of how it works, okay? And then your homework assignment, the one pager gave you the tactics, right? And I shared a ton of case studies throughout thinking of like how has worked for me and for other people, right? That was the first framework I shared. Okay, second framework I shared, boom was called the ultra result. Right, what is the ultimate result, right? And what are the core results? And from there what are the splint results? And from there we're gonna it and create you one pager, okay? That was the second. The second framework I taught was the ultimate result, right? And then third framework I taught was what? Boom, my framework for how to teach frameworks. Okay, like that literally it. So there's behind the curtains. Yes, there's like, "Hey, what are the frameworks I need to teach them today from my bag of frameworks and my bag of tricks and things that I have that can help give them the tools they need to be successful with day number two." Okay, so day number three, same as I was planning out. Okay, day number three. We're talking about actually creating your lead funnel, right? You've got a lead magnet. Now you need a funnel, this is the mechanism. This is the tool. It's gonna give somebody to give you their email address in exchange for your lead magnet, right? So it's like what are the frameworks that they need today to for just to understand for them to make sense and then I'm going to go and give them the tool, right? And so there's two frameworks I'm gonna be teaching today. Okay, so, hopefully, have seeing this like I'm practicing what I'm preaching. I'm not just pointing on my head like this is... I'm showing you guys exactly what I'm doing and hopefully this has given you a model. Okay, I always tell people I feel like my main role here at ClickFunnels is to be like someone who's doing things so you guys can look at it and you can model it in your business, right? Like I don't need to keep doing live trainings. I don't need to keep like... I'm fine. Like financially, I'm good, I can take a break. I can take a year or two or six years off and be completely fine. Okay, I keep doing this because I love it. Number one, I love this game. It's so much fun. Number two, I'm trying to show you guys models so you can like, "Oh, I can see I can model that in my business. Oh, I can do what Russell did over here." I can do a five day challenge. What would be my frameworks, what would I teach people, right? I can create my own lead magnet. What would I create? Russell, show me three of his what could I do for a lead magnet, right? I'm trying to show you guys stuff so you can look at it, you can think through it and figure how to model that for your specific business as well. Okay, and that's like you play in the game. So I keep sharing and hope you guys don't mind. I'm gonna keep on talking until I can't talk anymore because I love this stuff. I love seeing the ahas that you guys have. Okay, I remember when I first got into this game at 18, 18, 19 years ago now, and I was a young kid. I was wrestling at Boise State University and I was learning about this stuff. This is before webinars. I remember back then people did tele-seminars. And so I would get the tele-seminar recording. I had this little tape recorder that I got at radio shack and I would go hook it from my phone system. I click record and tape these teleseminars onto cassette tapes, right? And then 'cause most of them that I was in school or different places I couldn't like listen to them live and I wanted to hear them over and over again. So I taped all these cassette tapes and then I'd go on wrestling trips and we'd be in these vans, and we have like 8, 10, 12 hour drives in these vans and I get these cassette tapes out of these teleseminars I've recorded of people teaching some of these concepts when I first learned them. I remember listening to the tape, listening in the car with my headphones on and everyone else in the car sleeping or listening to music. I'm listening to these guys talk about these marketing principles. I remember just feeling like so alive and so excited. I'm just like this is the most exciting thing in the world, okay? And for me like I've had a chance to discover these things. I remember how excited I was when I first learned, when I first applied them, they actually worked, I was freaking out. And so for me the closest thing I can get to that same excitement is coming to you and sharing with Mike. And I see your guys' eyes light up when you get that aha moment or what are those things are like, "Aha, for me, it's like me. I have a chance to relive it again through you guys." And so that's why I love doing this and I love sharing these things and, hopefully, you guys feel that coming through for me. Okay, do you notice by the way when I told you guys the story of my... The framework of how to use frameworks, how I started it. By the way yesterday, right? I told you my story about how I learned to earn it. I was on stage and I was casting my pearls before swine. I told that story before I gave you this framework, okay? The pattern is repeated over and over and over again. All right, so that said now we're going to jump into today, which, again, the goal today is for us to build out our very first funnel, okay? So I'm gonna talk about two core frameworks you have to understand and then I'm gonna let you guys go. Probably ti's gonna be a little earlier today. And I'm gonna give you one pager which is gonna give you assignment. It's gonna walk you through tactics and you actually gonna have a chance to build your funnel today. And I prebuilt six funnels for you guys this weekend and you can pick any of the six or download all of them. You're gonna have them and it's giving you the framework. I'm gonna be giving you a new software tool that Jim Edwards built for you guys. We're literally filling in some blanks, you click a button, and it creates all the copy for every single page here inside your lead funnel, which is insanely cool and a bunch of other really cool things. So that's what's happening. And then tomorrow we've got a special guest coming in. It's gonna to be... I'm excited to introduce her she's gonna be coming and will be talking about the emails you send out, okay? And so that'll be happening tomorrow and then on Friday we've no special guests. She's actually flying here from Texas. She sent me a picture of her at the airport and she's gonna teach you guys how to launch these funnels and start getting traffic coming in for free. So it's gonna be a... The rest of the week will really be fun and exciting, okay? But for right now we're gonna dive into building out your lead funnel. Now I'm curious how many guys here who are watching, you've had a chance to read any of my books? Specifically, The Dotcom Secrets book. So Dotcom Secrets book is the first book I wrote. The hardbound version, new updated hardbound version. If you have the soft bound it's good. This one is way better. I rewrote this from the ground up I added, I don't know, I added 40,000 or 50,000 new words to this. New frameworks, new things. It's awesome, but in this book this is the book that teaches the core fundamentals of funnel building. You don't have a copy yet, you can get a free copy at dotcomsecrets.com But this is... A lot of the things I'm comes from his books. If you want to go deeper into that, make sure you get a copy of the Dotcom Secrets book, okay? Okay, so one of the principles I talked about Dotcom Secrets book is this concept that I call the value ladder, okay? And some of you has heard me talk about this before but this... For you to be successful with funnels and lead funnels and all the stuff we're talking about you have to understand this core principle. It's something that's so simple where when you get it, it changes everything, okay? So if you look at this, I'm gonna draw two axis on this thing, okay? Over here, this is gonna be price and this is going to be value, okay? Now if you think about it as a business owner you want to provide the most amount of value possible for people to come into your world, right? And so I think about that and I'm like if somebody comes to me like, Russell, I read your books. This is really, really cool. I want you to... What's the best thing you can offer me. Like whatever it is I will give you. Whatever it takes, I want you to just to do this whole thing. What's the most value you can possibly offer me, the highest amount of value, right? So for me if I was to like provide you guys a home, the most amount of value it would be basically I would pay for you to fly out here to my house, we sit in a room for a week. I would figure out what your business is, your product and I would go and write the scripts for yourselves and I'd create your funnels, I'd drive traffic, I would do everything for you, right? I guess the most value I could offer, right? If I just did the whole thing for you. And if you think about it, right? The value would be insane. It'd be clear up here but the problem is because it takes so much time and effort for me and for my staff, my team, and my everything because the price would also be high as well, right? So this will be... This would be like the most value I could possibly be... This is your smiley face. This the most value I could possibly give to you, okay? Now, honestly, if I was to do something like that the reality because it's just how much time and effort it would take me to provide that much value this is something that I would probably have to sell for at least $1 million cash up front plus I would say 40% to 60% of the company depending on how much I'm actually running long-term, okay? But that's the most value I can possibly provide somebody, okay? Now it's funny to think about this if I was to walk up to you on the side of the street, the very first day I'm like, "Hey, my name is Russell Brunson and I would love to build a funnel for you." If you want to write me a check for $1 million plus give me 60% of your company, I will do this for you. How many guys would be like, "That's awesome, Russell, I'm going to do it." Right, how many guys will look at me and be like, "Russell, you look like you're 11 years old. You want $1 million to build a funnel? And then you want more than half of my business. It makes no sense," right? Okay, the reason is because I've provided no value at this point, you have no context. Like is that a good deal or a bad I don't even know, right? So traditionally in businesses we don't just go lead with our best thing because we haven't shown value to the people first, right? So instead what we do is we come down here at the bottom of the value ladder. We say, "Okay, what's something I can do that provides value that's not gonna cost a ton of money," right? I'm gonna do something right here. Okay, so for me and for you this is like a lead funnel, right? Give me your email address, I guess the price of the members. Give me your email address I'm gonna give you this lead magnet, okay? And you're gonna get it you'll get some value from that lead magnet, right? And they get that and they're like, "Oh my gosh this is really good." And what do we do as humans? We get value from something. What do we naturally want, okay? If we get value from something or from somebody we naturally want more. So people come here to get value. This is lovely, this is amazing. That's awesome, that's cool. The next thing it say, "Okay, how can we get more value?" Okay, and now you step them up your value ladder to the next thing. That's gonna be a little bit more expensive. Okay, the price goes up but the value goes up as well. Okay, the good case is like you buy one of my books. My books are free plus shipping, right? So it's $10 basically you get my book. The value is here but the price is low. You get that and you read the book like this is amazing, one more. Right, these are ClickFunnel and then you come to our events and like naturally start sending up, okay? And so that happens here. If somebody gets value here they go to the next year. Boom to the next year until eventually this is not that expensive. Okay, I guarantee if I send an email to my list and say, "Hey, I'm going to be building out five people's funnels. It's $1 million down and I want 50% of your business. I guarantee I get five people within 24 hours." Okay, because there's people who've gone through this process with me who understand the value of what I bring to the table and that'd be a no brainer, okay? 'Cause they've been through this before. Okay, you think about this. This is true in like all aspects of life. Think about your significant other, the first time you met them, right? Okay, if you came to... Let's say you're gonna go on a date with a girl and you're like, "Hey, you are cute. The most value I can have you. I want to get married, we're gonna have a bunch of kids and then grandkids and it's gonna be amazing, right? If you said that to a girl or to a dude or whatever, they'd be like you're crazy. Like this person is nuts, right? And they're gonna freak out. So that's not how you go approach somebody if you want to date them or whatever, right? You start down here and you say, "Hey, do you want to go on a date?" Like, "Okay, how's that work?" We can go to dinner and a movie, right? The price isn't that high, the value is not that big a deal until you go on a date and then what happens. If the day goes good and the person sees value, like this was a great date. Now, I want more and you say, "Hey, do you want to go on a second date." And they're like, "Yeah." Okay, do you want to go another date and eventually there's a time when you come and say, "Hey, do you want to get married? I want to have kids with you and have a family and have grandkids someday." Well, all of a sudden that question is not this thing that freaks me out. It's like, "Yes, of course, you've given me value every single step in this relationship. I want to continue that forever, okay? So it works in relationships, it works in business, it works everywhere. And so this is what we have to understand. This is what I call the value ladder, okay? And so this is what we're doing here inside the five-day lead challenge. We're introducing people into our world here at the bottom of the value ladder. Okay, we're giving them something where the cost is their email address. It's not expensive. Give me an email, I'm gonna give you this thing. And if they get that first framework they get that first one page, they get that first lead magnet and they go through it and they're like, "Oh my gosh, this is amazing. I want more, I want to on a second date." Okay, I want to go to the next step. I want to take the next level. I want to do the next thing with you. Now, also you build this relationship and people come over and over and over. Okay, when I first launched my books and I started giving things away for free it changed my entire business, right? I was doing a lot of stuff before but I gave people this thing that read it they got value and they wanted to go the next thing, the next to the next thing and now we have clients that pay us $50,000, $100,000 a year and beyond because the value we provided at every single step. Okay, so that's what our goal is. Now a couple of things. If you read the Dotcom Secrets book I share like each tier in the value ladder there's different types of funnels associated with them, right? So this bottom tier right here, we call this lead funnels. I think there's three or four that I share in the book. But the one that we're gonna be going through today is the most basic, the most simple, and it's a two-step lead funnel. Okay, lead squeeze funnel, okay? So that's the first one. I list here in the value ladder. Typically we use what I call unboxing funnels. My handwriting's horrible but there's an unboxing funnels, okay? And earlier I told you guys about the One Funnel Away challenge, the One Funnel Away challenge, actually, we spend all the time at this tier in the value ladder. Okay, the sales funnel we build out is a type of unboxing funnel and that's what we do during the One Funnel Away challenge, okay? The next tier up from here is what we call presentation funnels. Presentation funnels. This is where we're selling a little more expensive things. This is doing it like a webinar or doing a product launch funnel, things like that. So there's different types of funnels to sell a higher ticket stuff. In the top tier, this we're selling really expensive stuff. There are different high ticket funnels that we use as well, okay? And so, again, each tier of the value ladder there's different types of funnels we use, okay? But for this training for the five day lead challenge we're spending all of our time focused at this tier of the value ladder, generating leads. Okay, and again, there's a couple types of funnels that we build but the most basic, the most simple one is just the two-step lead funnel, okay? So that's what I'll going to be creating today, okay? This is something that is not complicated, it's not hard, it's not frustrating. You literally can create this today and be done. If you create your lead magnet and your one pager yesterday you've got everything you need to have your funnel completely done, completely finished, and ready to rock and roll, okay? So that's what we're gonna be doing today for your homework assignment is actually building it out inside of ClickFunnels, which is going to be so much fun. I made a whole video showing you the process and walking you through, okay? So, again, that's the first framework I want to teach you guys was the value ladder. Okay, so I'll write value here so you can remember. Here's the value ladder, okay? And, again, if you want to go deep and just get more examples and case studies, Dotcom Secrets book, I share a bunch of different ones, okay? So that's the value ladder. Okay, so now I want to go here. We're gonna talk about this right here. We're gonna talking about the lead funnel. So on day one I kind of told you guys a little bit about the double your dating funnel that I found when I was first getting started. When I was first trying to build a list, right? Where Eben Pagan had the kiss test. It had never been shown yet he was like, "Step one, give your email address I'm going to teach you the kiss test." And then on page two he gave you the kiss test. That was the lead magnet, right? And so prior to that, before like that was one of the first we call it a squeeze page and I will explain why here in a bit. It was the very first squeeze pages I'd ever seen. Now, prior to that, I had learned about list-building and the way that people built lists back then was different, okay? Again, I've been online doing this now for over 18 years which is crazy. So back when I got started in this the game was different, right? It was way harder. This is before Facebook ads, before YouTube, before MySpace, right? When I got started MySpace wasn't a thing yet. In fact, you guys remember what the social network was pre MySpace. Okay, the OGs remember this. It was called Friendster. And we were trying to figure out how to use Friendster to build a lists. But back then it was a little differently. So this is what the internet looked like back then. People would have a website, okay? There's a website here and this is what my doodle of a website looks like, okay? All right, so here's the website. And if you remember this you would go to somebody's website, right? You go to Google or you go to Yahoo or Ask Jeeves or whatever it was back in the day and you go somewhere and shop this website and then what would happen? Do you guys remember this? I'll give you a hit. It was like the most annoying thing on the planet. Okay, you shop this website and like this is awesome. I'm reading a scene and all of a sudden a certain a thing would pop up and they call it what? A pop-up. This pop-up would come up and be like, "Aha." Most of times is like, "Congratulations you won. You're the 1 million visitor to our website, put your email address down below to get a 30% discount." Guys, did ever see these? And so it was like the thing, like put your email address in and click submit and you win. So that was kind of what these popups were, okay? And the people that I knew that I was learning from initially this is how they're making their money. This is how they're building the list. They would go and they would do pop-ups. So you drive traffic your site and they'd get a pop-up, okay. And then people put the email address and they started building a list, okay? It was interesting and then what started happening, I love the history of this. Then, remember, for me, I was like why don't have a website with a bunch of traffic to it? Like how do I... I don't want popups. And so these pop-up advertising networks we could go in and say, "Okay, here's my pop-up." I want it to show up on 1,000 sites or one million sites or whatever you put in how many impressions you wanted. So then somebody would go to random site and because I paid for my pop-up would pop up and it would a pop up like, "Hey, congratulations, thanks for coming to the website put your email address down below for this free report, for this free lead magnet," right? And so while that's what I was doing it was awesome. I was going... I was paying these networks. I was paying money to have my pop-up show up on all these websites around the internet and I started building lists and I was like, "This is so cool." But then what happened, okay? It started getting more annoying 'cause what would happen is that these advertisers would be like, "Well, if I can sell one pop-up for like 30 cents what if I sold three or 10 or 12?" How many of you members you go to website and seen by pop up, pop up, pop up like four or five popups pop up you're like, "What's happening to my computer, I'm just freaking out," right? Internet Explorer is crashing this a whole nightmare, right? And so it got more and more annoying to the point where like Internet Explorer and the browsers we're like, "This is done. Let's just block all popups." And instantly overnight they create these things, called pop-up blockers. They would block all these pop-ups and boom they're gone. Now for those who... Most of you guys were probably in the spot at a time in your life. Like thank heavens the pop-ups are gone but on the other side the marketers like me who were building huge lists of millions of people off these popups start freaking out like our lead source is gone. It just dried up, it disappeared overnight, right? And they're freaking out and we're freaking out like, "What do we do?" Okay, well, all you thought it was the end of the internet as we know it, right? And then there were some really smart people and I don't know who it was initially but someone said, what if we take this model, someone comes to the website and this thing pops up and we get their email address. What if we flip it around? And be like what are you talking about? It's like what if we did this? What if the first thing people see, instead is this page that says, hey, here's the free report, you put in your name and your email address, right? And then they click submit and then it takes them to the actual website, right? That was the premise. And so instead of driving people to the website and having a pop-up we would drive them directly to the pop-up. And I remember people, like this was the debate in all the marketing forums back and they're like, "No, you can't do that." You're an idiot because nobody is actually gonna see your website. And you'd be like, "Yeah, but then I can't get emails. I can't follow up with people and no one is buying. I have to follow up a bunch of times before they're willing to buy and dah, dah, dah, all sorts of stuff like that. And so this was the controversy, okay? And about those time is when a couple people started testing it. One of them was Eben Pagan, okay, the guy who own Double Your Dating. This is where he said, "Okay, let me try this." Boom, give me your email address I'm gonna give you the free kiss test. People put email in, come over here, learn the kiss test, got value and then the bottom of page sold them his ebook. Boom blew up in $20 million business, okay? Then other people started doing, other people start doing and I was like, "Oh my gosh, this actually works." Okay, don't think about the metrics on this, but what happened? Let's say you had 100, actually, let's go this way. Okay, let's say over here let's say you had 100 visitors come to your website, right? 100 visitors come, so a hundred times this pop came up, maybe you got like 20% of the people to put their email address in here, right? See 100% of people saw your website and only 20% joined your list, okay? And then you flip it over here, what would happen is you send those same 100 people to come over here and from here you get anywhere from who knows, let's 20% I guess. So 20% of people give you the email address, right? Then only 20% of people actually ever see your site and see, like, this is not going to work because you got one fifth as much traffic actually sees your site. But what they didn't realize is and this is what made the whole thing work is that these 20% people then gave you their email address, right? Now you have the email address and you can go out here and you can send an email. Okay, so like again 20% will see that. And you send the email to 20% and you remind them about the thing and you send another email and you remind them. And you send another email and you can send three or four emails push people back to this thing and you can follow up with them. And they found at the time, I don't know if the numbers are the same or not but at the time it took someone on average seven times seeing your website before they were willing to buy. So what was happening in the past is you drive, pay for that as soon as come here, pay for them and after seven times of seeing then they buy. We're now happy to pay for them once. They joined your list and you send an email one, two, three, four, and by email seven a huge percentage had bought the thing. But now you have them on your list, right? Now you have them on your list, now what you do with that list, okay? Well, yeah, you have them on your list now you come back to your value. Okay, they're on my list now, you send five, six emails someone bought my very first product. What's the next thing I sell. Oh, I can sell this, oh, I can sell this and all of a sudden they had the ability to now generate their own traffic. They have their own leads. They own traffic now. They didn't always have to go to Facebook or Google or YouTube to buy new leads, right? They own the list. They can say I want to send the list over there and send and they send and boom the list shows up there. I'm going to send over here, boom, and they can just send it to different places, okay? Where is this idea for five day lead challenge of two or three weeks ago. I was like, "I'm going to do this thing, we're gonna put up a squeeze page, right? It's okay opt in to this page. I sent emails to my list and 35,000 of you came and opted in. I didn't pay Zuckerberg for that list, I didn't have to pay. That came because I own that traffic, right? I control, I can send it to different places, okay? And so it changed the dynamics of people's businesses, all right? So you come back here. Yeah, maybe only 20% people give you email address but now it's what I'm saying you follow up, you close a higher percentage and when all is said and done at the end of the day you actually end up making more money, okay? And that was the power. Now the cool thing of the internet. Internet is actually getting cooler since back in the day 'cause now you can have these things called retargeting ads where I can go deep into this but you see this before you can put a retargeting pixel on this page. So someone comes and 20% give you their email address but then 80% leave. So 80% of people leave, right? Like, oh, they're gone. But Facebook and YouTube and Google will allow you follow those people around and keep pushing them back and keep pushing them back till you get a higher percentage of people that can actually come and put their email address in, okay? That's outside of the context we're talking about now but it's pretty cool because retargeting has given the ability to the people who bounce and leave to keep getting them and keep coming back and you push them into your funnels, okay? So that is what a lead squeeze is. We called this a squeeze page because traffic is coming in. You're squeezing their email address out and then you're giving them value. And if they receive value at this step in the tier, right from your lead magnet this is amazing, I want more then they naturally want to ascend up the value ladder, okay? People that came into Double Your Dating, they came for the kiss test, they read this kiss test and like this is amazing, they read down and like what else does this person have? I want more value. I want to go on second date with them, right? And at the end of the end of the kiss test, right? What would I have on offer? And he said, "Okay, well you got the kiss test. I've got this ebook called Double Your Dating for $97. Do you want to buy the ebook?" And they're like, "Heck, yeah." They bought the ebook, boom, right? And people read the ebook like this is amazing, a bunch of cool stuff that happens like cool stuff in the ebook, guess what? I've got a live event where we teach men how to do this in life. Okay, the live is x amount of dollars and can people come to the event. Not everyone, okay, but a big percentage of people who got value of this step want the next step. And the live event is like, "Oh, by the way he's mentioning coaching programs." Boom, push you to the next step. Okay, and that's how this game is played, okay? Now for you all you guys are going to think about it a little differently. What does your business look like? Like what's my value ladder. Like y'all have to kind of figure out what's gonna be 'cause everyone's different, right? I remember when my wife and I first got married I had not had dental insurance for probably five or six years. I got married. My parents cut me off like, "You're an adult now, good luck." So I had no dental insurance, I couldn't afford it. Fast forward like six years later my business is running, I have a couple of employees. My employees come to me and they're like, "Hey, Russell, since I worked for you, can I get benefits?" And I put it in context. I'd never actually had a job before. I was wrestling so I never had a job. So I had a couple of employees and they're like, "Russell, we're gonna have benefits?" I'm like, "What does that mean?" "Like benefits where you pay for stuff for us." So I'm like, "I pay your salary." Like, "No, no like dental insurance and health insurance." And I was like, "Is this is really thing." I'd never heard that before, right? And, yeah, it really is. I'm like, "Okay." So I went and we figured out how to get benefits for our employees and we got dental insurance, right? And so I'm like, "Sweetheart, I haven't seen a dentist in six years, I should go to dentists." And about that time I get in the mail a lead magnet. I got the thing in the mail is a yellow postcard and said, "Hey, there's a new... We're a new dentist in town. If you want you can come into to our office and get a free teeth cleaning." And my wife and I are like, "Sweet we haven't cleaned our teeth in six years outside of her own brushing let's go." Boom, there's a lead magnet, right? Okay, so we call the dentist like, "Hey, we got this big old yellow postcard in the mail and you got a teeth clean?" He's like, "Sure, it's free come on in." So we come on in, right? Boom, I get the lead magnet. The dentist or the hygienist and they're all working on my teeth, cleaning my teeth are providing what? Providing value and like getting my teeth cleaned and do all sorts of stuff. And the dentist comes afterwards looking to like, "Cool your teeth are clean." I just had a question for you like, "Are you a smoker? Do you drink coffee or something?" And I was like, "What?" No, I'm not a smoker. No, I don't drink coffee either." I'm like, "Why would you ask?" And he says, "Oh, well, your teeth are kind of... Just like kind of yellow. I don't know if you noticed because I turned my yellow I assume, maybe you drink coffee or smoke or something." I'm like, "No, I don't do any of that stuff." He's like, "Oh, well, if you want," he is like I can provide you more value. He didn't say that but I can give you a teeth whitening kit where you start whitening your teeth at home that way it goes from yellow back to white. I was like, "Are you kidding me? Yes, please do that." He's like, "Cool let me you a fitting for some teeth whitening kit." He fits my teeth whitening kit I was like, "Thank you so much." And so I get that, right? So he provided more value and I had to pay for that, right? And then while he's doing more stuff he's like, "By the way did you used to have braces when you were young?" I was like, "Yeah, why?" He's like, "Oh, I can tell because your teeth are recrowding and a lot has happened with your braces off over years so your teeth are kind of recrowding. I'm like, "Are you serious?" He's like, "Yeah, they don't look bad but they are definitely like shifting around." And I was like, "Are you kidding me? Well, I don't want crooked teeth, what do I do?" And he's like, "Well, if you want we can build a retainer for you which help keep your teeth in place or we can do invisalign which will help realign." And I was like, "Yes, please," right? And so he did what? He provided more value to me, right? And so he's going through this so by the time he was done I got done with this experience of the dentist, I leave and I write them a check for $2,000 or $3,000. Now am I angry about the experience? No. Why? He brought me in to this thing for free. I got value, I'm like, "This is amazing. I got a free teeth clean, it's amazing." He's like, "Hey, I can provide more value. I can make your teeth whiter." I'm like, "Sweet make them white." He's like, "I can add more value, I keep your teeth straight." I'm like, "Sweet," right? And he could have offered cosmetic dentistry, whatever the thing was, right? But he had his own value ladder. That's how he made money off of me. And then the next day my wife came in she got her teeth cleaned and she left there $2,000 or $3,000 check in the process worked, right? Every business has a value out of it. If you don't have a value ladder yet, you're probably not in a very good business, okay? Your job is if you're like, "What's the process?" Why are you taking people through, okay? Now, again, that's kind of outside the context of the five day challenge 'cause our goal in five day challenge is this, how do we dominate this? How do we get so much value and people are like, "This is amazing, this one page of this framework." It's changed my life. This is awesome. I got this thing, I want more. Okay, like I said in the One Funnel Away challenge, we're starting on Monday we're going to go deep into this. Right, how do you create this sales funnel? So after they receive value, they're already getting... They like have a hole burning of pocket. I want to give you money. Like, "What's the next step?" You can be like, "Oh, here's the next step?" And pushing the next funnel. I wish I could spend like eight hours a day going deep into that but that's what the One Funnel Away challenge is. We're starting on Monday live just like this. So, anyway, does that make sense? So those are the two frameworks I share with yesterday. Okay, the value ladder and the understanding of very basic, very simple two-step lead funnel, okay? One of the most basic types of funnels to generate leads, okay? All right, so I'm gonna show you guys what the game plan is. Now that you have your lead magnet, today's assignment is we're gonna be building out the most basic, most simple funnels. The two-step funnel, okay? On this page in the funnel you are gonna give people your actual lead magnet, okay? The thing you created yesterday you're gonna give it to them. Then come here there is gonna be a big button that says download and they're gonna download your one pager, right? You're gonna tell them thank you. We call this a thank you page. Okay, 'cause it says thank you. Thank you so much for giving me your email address here's where you can download the lead magnet I just promised you. Okay, this is a thank you page. Okay, this page right here is what we call a squeeze page. Okay, squeeze pages are very simple. They're very basic. The most easiest page in the world came. Okay, most of my squeeze pages take me less than five minutes to build. Okay, I built six of them for you that I'm giving you on the one pager. You have a chance to see them in a minute. Okay, basically what a squeeze page is, there's typically a headline, maybe a sub headline, a picture of your one pager and the spot for them to put in their email and click submit. That's it. One of the most simple things in the world. And sometimes like Facebook they want you to have longer pages, okay? If you do just add some more bullet points down below with more context of what they're gonna learn about in your one pager. That's your squeeze page, squeeze page, thank you page. Two pages, most simple funnel on the planet. You can literally create it in five to 10 minutes, okay? And so that's what we're gonna be creating today. It's gonna be a lot of fun. Now, a couple of things, okay? The tool that creates these funnels. If you know me at all, if you've listened to me, anything I've said in the last six years you've probably heard of ClickFunnels. Okay, ClickFunnels is my company. It's the tool that builds funnels. We have over 120,000 active members who use it, okay? A lot of you guys who are here already have ClickFunnels accounts. If you don't yet I'm gonna give you guys a 14 day trial to use it today so you can build out this funnel so you can have your very first lead squeeze funnel, okay? That's number one. Number two, one of my business partners, Jim Edwards, creates some really cool software that we can give you for free today as well. And then when go in here you're gonna take information about who is your dream customer, right? We talked about your dream customer yesterday. Who's your dream customer. He's asked you a whole bunch of questions about that. And then who is my dream customer, what do they care about and you fill out this form. When you fill out the form then there's two or three forms you're gonna fill out, you're filling about your dream customer about things like that. And then you click a button and what it's going to do is it's actually gonna write all these things. It's gonna to write the headlines, it gonna can write the sub headlines, correct? All these different bullet points. It's gonna write the copy that goes right here. It's gonna write all that stuff for you. You fill out the form and you click submit and writes it all for you then you literally just copy it and paste it. Copy, paste, copy, paste, copy, paste and now you've got a funnel that's set up and ready to convert people and they show up. Okay, this is called copy. The words on the page is called copy. Copy is something that gets people to do something you're gonna to do. And you can guess and try to write good copy but the software has been built for you is gonna make this copy super easy deal, it's high converting. It took the best headlines from all time. Like over the last like 100 years from the best highest converting headlines and reverse engineer in the software. So you tell them your product it'll pop out like here's a hundred headlines based on the highest converting headlines in the history of the world. And you take those and say, "Oh, this will actually go to my landing page and you can tweak it around, you can change them but it's powerful, okay? You don't have to guess and think like what's gonna work. Like the software is gonna write a copy that's gonna work for you out the gate. And we're giving that to you for free for being here. So that's a gift we wanted to give you guys 'cause it's gonna make this process simpler, okay? And so today's assignment, like I said, if yesterday if you did your assignment it means you already have, oops, you already have the lead magnet done. So today we're gonna build the two pages, we're gonna put the plug the copy in, we're gonna plug the lead magnet on the download button and then you're gonna be finished, okay? It shouldn't take that long. If it's your first time on ClickFunnels it might take you a little bit of time but there's a video of me walking through every single step of the process and it's not gonna be hard. Okay, tomorrow what we're gonna be doing is, after somebody gives you their email address, right? Now we have these emails that go out, right? The question is what do we say on these emails, okay? There's actually six emails we sent out initially, okay? Six emails to build relationship people and get them to buy to your next thing in your value ladder. Okay, so tomorrow I have a special guest, Jada Golden, who's gonna be coming and talking about what to send in those six emails. We also built software for you where you fill in the form, you click the button and it'll pre-write these six emails for you and then you plug those into ClickFunnels. That's happening tomorrow. It's gonna be really, really cool but for today this what we're doing on these two pages, okay? All right, I'm gonna have my team pull the one pager. So on my screen here this is the one pager I'm gonna give you guys today. We love one pages, they're the most exciting thing in the world. Number one you notice the very top it here it says... Scroll back up to the very top. It says your next challenge is you choose except to start sitting one phone, wait 30 day challenge. If you want to join the live challenge that starts Monday, okay, this is the 30 day challenge. We're gonna go through and build out your actual sales funnel. The second tier in the value ladder, click on that button and sign up. It is not... The 5 Day Challenge has been free, the One Funnel Away challenge is $100, okay? So if you want to go the next step with me, if you receive value here so far and like I want to go next to your Russell's value ladder to figure out how to build out my next and my value ladder click on that link and join the challenge. Okay, you don't have to but that's there if you're looking for it, okay? This video right here now, this is a 32 minute video of me teaching and showing the actual tactics. Okay, this is me literally going to ClickFunnels and doing it and then going to Jim's software and doing it. So you'll see me at my house hanging out with you doing your assignments. You have like, "How does work, I'm confused" Watch the video, I do the assignment with you. Just pause it copy me, play, pause, play, pause, and just do it with me, okay? As scroll down here and see what the landing page looks like we're gonna be building here. Here you get your ClickFunnels 14 day trial. Here's where you get the funnel scripts light tool that's going to write all the copy for you. And then these are six different templates I built out for you, okay? So there's six landing page templates that are amazing. This first right here, this is the landing page template. It has been the highest converting one for me. I will show you in the video but literally that template there over the last year has got me over 250,000 leads and I gave you that one as well. A bunch of other really cool ones are there so you can pick one of those six templates you want to use. You click on the button it copies into your ClickFunnels account and you can edit it. Okay, so there were three quick little video of me and Jim, you click on that video, it'll take you to a page. It gives you the software, it shows you how to use it. You're gonna fill in that software, click in the blanks, click submit and write all the copy for you, okay? Let's go back to the one pager. Oh, we just lost it. So, again, the software you filled out it'll write it all the copy and we can get back to the one pager here hopefully. He calls the back buttons. We can it get back. There we go. Oh, open a new window there you go. Okay, then you take the copy from Jim's software, you can plug it into the ClickFunnels page and then just go through. Basically, you go through the to-do list. After you finished the do list everything would be done. Oh, September 3rd, other cool thing is, remember I told you here typically I have a picture of my ecover for the thing that the lead magnet they're getting. Okay, if you want inside a one page is actually a really cool tool that will build you out. and actually ecover. You fill in some blanks, click the buttons and boom it creates an ecover that you can then put on your squeeze page here or else I give you two other resources of places you can get your covers design. Okay, I'm not a designer. I don't know how to design things so you can either create it for free inside of one pager or you can use some of the other resources like one is called Funnel Rolodex. Funnel Rolodex is a marketplace of funnel builders and designers who can design these things for you. Okay, if you're like I don't want to do a funnel, Russell, I'm scared to death you go to funnel Rolodex and there's, again, programmers designers you can hire to build your funnels for you. There's always people can do the ecover for you there as well. Okay, there's other resources as well but all of the stuff's on the one pager. This is our gifts use of scroll, go back to the top and getting rid of... Get the one pager. The first thing is, watch this video. It's gonna show the assignment and then go through the assignment. By the time you're done you'll have your lead funnel done and ready to rock and roll, okay? These two pieces will be done and you'll be prepared for tomorrow 'cause tomorrow we're going to be building out the email sequence plugging it in. And when that's done, then Friday we're gonna be dumping tons of traffic into this thing and your first set of leads will be coming through and it's gonna be fun. So with that said my team is gonna put the link down below. This link it say one pager, okay? Get in fivedayleadchallenge.com/clickfunnels. That is going to take you directly. It'll automatically take you this page save the page and now you have it inside your one pager your account and you can go to the homework assignment and all the other things involved. That's like fun you guys. I'm having so much fun of these. I hope you guys are enjoying today's training and all of these trainings so far. I'm super grateful. First off to have the platform be able to share this with you guys. Like I said, it means the world to me watching you guys have the aha moments like for the very first time. I still remember experiencing a lot of these ahas myself and I love giving them to you. It's hopefully, as my aha moments and now it's just doing the actual work and works that hard luckily. Okay, we started the most simple funnel a two-step funnel. It's very simple, it's very easy. I give you templates, we give you software and we will will write copy. We give you software to build out the ecovers, all the things you need. Again, it's all on one pager down below. So go to fivedayleadchallenge.com/clickfunnels. It'll take you to this one pager, save in your account, watch the video, do the assignment, and then we'll be meeting back here tomorrow. Same time, same place. And then your email sequences is written out and plugged in and we're one step closer to the finish line. So that's it, guys. Thanks, again, so much. Get the one pager down below and I will see you guys tomorrow. Bye, everybody.

One of the cool "Ah-ha's" I had today, sitting in our 2CCX, Inner Circle, Category Kings mastermind group. Hit me up on IG! @russellbrunson Text Me! 208-231-3797 Join my newsletter at marketingsecrets.com ClubHouseWithRussell.com Magnetic Marketing ---Transcript--- What's up everybody? This is Russell Brunson, welcome back to the Marketing Secrets podcast. Today I'm sending you a message from beautiful Mexico. Hey, what's up everybody? So we are here actually at the Two Comma Club X Inner Circle/Category Kings Mastermind group, which is exciting. We're in Mexico, in the past we used to do the big Two Comma Club cruise, but cruises are sketchy now so we decided to run an all exclusive resort. And it's actually really cool because it was interesting, and I don't know, there's a lot of variables so this may not be the only one, but I thought we would get more people to register for the cruise that was even pre... Sorry, pre COVID we did the cruise, we had about the same amount of people in our Mastermind group, and we had X amount of people that signed up for the actual cruise from that pool of people that were eligible to go. And then this year's post COVID so we did it here, and the group of potential people who can come is about the same, but we had three times as many people register for this. And so, I don't know, it could be just COVID and people want to travel and get away. That's definitely a possibility, but I think that more people want to go to an all inclusive resort than a cruise, which is the opposite of what I would've believed and thought, so anyway it's kind of cool. My one fear is on the cruise it was nice because everyone's jammed in this little boat and so more people got out and met, and I'm a little nervous that here people are going to hide in their rooms during the off sessions, but hopefully no. So anyway, I'll report back and let you know more how it's going. But so far we've just finished day number one and it was amazing, it was really, really cool. So I want to share with you guys all just a thought or an aha or a, I don't know, something that hopefully will be helpful for you all. I'm hoping that all of you guys, especially those who are... Obviously we cater towards two types of businesses, there's the expert business and the e-comm business. In fact, it's funny, here at the event it's broken in two groups, like here's our expert group, here's our e-comm group. And Alison Prince teaches a lot of the e-comm stuff, I teach the expert stuff and so it's split down the middle there as well. But we're both trying to do crossover where she's trying to get all the expert people to add physical products to their offers, I'm trying to get the e-comm people to add info products to their offers, so it's a blend back and forth. But the thing I want you guys to understand is just the power of, honestly, a singular framework. Each of you guys who are in a business, you have some type of framework, some kind of process or system or things that you take somebody through to get an end result. And one of my favorite people that I've seen do this is Brooke Castillo. Brooke is amazing entrepreneur, she's got a huge podcast, great podcast, great membership site, great coaching certification program. In fact, all of our one-on-one coaches for our Mastermind groups all come from her program, they're all certified through her. But she basically has created one really, really, really... How many reallys can I give her? 22 reallys. Really good framework, right? And her business is based around, honestly, it's one core framework. And she teaches this framework on her podcast, she talks about it in her emails, everywhere she's talking about this one framework. And then she has a membership site that's $300 a month that then teaches people how to use the framework, like how to use the framework in your life, if you're a coach, how to use it for other people, all sorts of stuff. I think that's $300 a month, and then she has a coaching certification program, it's $18,000 a year, I think, or I believe that's what it is. And there's where she helps you to master the framework where you can start teaching it and helping coach other people, and it's really cool. But that's her basic business, it's she has one framework that she talks about for free everywhere, and she's got a membership site $300 a month where she teaches you in depth how to use the framework and get live coaching from coaching students, stuff like that. And then on top of that she's got the certification where you can master the framework and use it as a tool in your own business. But her whole business, and her business is multiple, multiple eight figures, one of if not the biggest info product business that I'm aware of right now, which is really cool. But anyway, again, we come back and we look at that and look what she's doing and it's insanely successful. And so, as I was thinking about the Mastermind group we're in right now, and if you guys know my business, hopefully you do at this point, I have frameworks. And I don't have one, I have probably because I'm more obsessive compulsive, I don't know, OCD is high with me, but I have a lot of frameworks. And if you read DotCom Secrets, Expert Secrets, Traffic Secrets, those are my core frameworks all laid out. If you've gone through those books you understand my framework of the value ladder, and then my frameworks for each types of funnel inside the value ladder, and my frameworks for my scripts. And if you go to Expert Secrets you learn other frameworks, and you learn frameworks about how to start a movement, you learn frameworks about how to do your sales presentation or your perfect webinar, you learn frameworks on how to close, you learn those ones. And then Traffic Secrets, you learn Dream 100, you learn congregation, you frameworks on how to infiltrate any media platform and on and on. So those are my core marketing frameworks, there's a bunch of them. And there's other ones we teach that aren't necessarily inside the books, but the core ones are there. And so what's cool about it is, if you look at my business, I can go and I can for free teach and talk about any of my frameworks. I've done a hundred podcast interviews about the Dream 100 framework, I've done other ones about value ladder, I've done other ones about just any of the dozens of frameworks I've, not invented, don't know if that's the right word, the ones that we put together. I've done tons of training on every one of those things individually, but they all push back like, 'Hey, if you want to learn this in more detail, go get the books.' Then people read the books and they get all the frameworks, they get a good understanding of them and then from there their entire value ladder. Now, after you made a value ladder, everything else we do is just based on those core frameworks. It's not like I'm teaching more things, honestly, which is kind of cool. It's mastery, it's learning how to actually use these frameworks. And so if you go up our coaching ladder there's One Funnel Away, which is picking very specific... like we're going to show you guys one framework for creating product, one framework for a funnel, very specific type of funnel, one framework for traffic, so it's one framework across each thing. That's the OFA challenges, and then from there we send people up to our Two Comma Club X Coaching Program. And Two Comma Club X Coaching Program then is where we're picking a couple more frameworks. We're going deeper into it where we've got coaches, you've got one-on-one coaches, you've got group coaches, you've got a tribe of people who are working together. You've got all these people and it's really helping you to dial in, perfect this framework. And then after you get done with Two Comma Club X, which people stay in Two Comma Club X Coaching Program until they win a Two Comma Club X Board, they make a million dollars. And then something secret happens, funnel hacking live, nobody knows this except for the Two Comma Club winners. But when you win the Two Comma Club we invite you to a secret luncheon that's only for people who've won the Two Comma Club or above, and at that Two Comma Club luncheon I invite people to join my Inner Circle. And it's funny because a lot of people join the Inner Circle, and we found this especially people who had been in the Two Comma Club X Coaching Program and moved up to the Inner Circle. They're like, "What's the curriculum for Inner Circle?" I'm like, "There's no more curriculum, you guys have gone through these things..." The Inner Circle, then after my Inner Circle we've got our Category Kings, like the different levels here, it's still the same frameworks, we've already learned them. But now inside the Mastermind what's been cool is over the last 10 years I've been teaching this stuff, we've got now thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of people using these frameworks in different places. So the Mastermind now becomes everybody else saying, "Okay, well, yeah, I did a challenge funnel, but this is what I did different. I tweaked this, I added this, I change this." And they're like, "Oh, well, my value ladder looks like this. And, oh, my thing looks like this." And it's everybody taking these core fundamental frameworks that we first laid out and then building on them and adding things, tweaking things, changing things. We had someone today who, same thing, they come through our training but then they figure out this new hook and this new way to do something, and then they built this huge Two Comma Club business doing that. And we had her come and present today and like, "Hey, here's what I'm doing." There's a lot of similarities but it was her twist, her take, and how she took the frameworks and evolved them and developed them further and they had new cool things. And then we have these national meetings where everyone's getting up and they're sharing. And right now there's people all around this resort here in Mexico in little meetup groups. And there's groups like everyone who's doing challenge funnels meet up and they're all sharing best practices. Like, "Oh, we did this and we added this little thing. We added this badge here and increased conversion by this. Oh, and we did this." Everyone's sharing things there. And then there's the high ticket group, and then there's another group, another group. But there's all these groups happening, pop up all around the resort right now of all the people that are in Mastermind groups, all just sharing like, "Hey, I took this core framework, but here's how I tweaked it, here's how I changed it. Here's how I applied it to my business, here's how I applied it to my industry. Here's how I did it." And so it's really fascinating watching it because the evolution of this was not like, "Russell, to go higher ticket you need more frameworks." No, no, it's master, it's application. It's sharing the tweaks, the changes, the evolution of the frameworks amongst those of the people that are out there in the trenches using them. And that's why this has been so fascinating. I wish I could sit in every one of these little breakout groups and just take notes of what everybody else is sharing because there's just so much gold that everybody's dropping. Anyway, I wanted to share that for a couple reasons. Number one, if in you're my value ladder this is where you're going, keep figuring these things out. So having success, get in the coaching program, get to the Two Comma Club, jump in the Inner Circle, and then come to these Masterminds where we can start taking this and network with... I think we have 600 people here on resort with us, which is cool. I think the resort holds 900 people and we've got 600. It's like more than half of the people here are Funnel Hackers, which has got to be awkward for all the people wondering why we have these similar t-shirts on, but that's what we do. And so, be part of that group and then start sharing with each other and it's just so fascinating. Funnel Hacking Live is a version of that, you come to Funnel Hacking Live and it's like all the speakers are people who for the most part grew up in our community, who learned the core frameworks, started using the ClickFunnels software and then they figured out their hooks, their tweaks, their way that they evolved the principles and got them to work for them and for their market. And so it's fun, everyone building upon each other and all off of this one common framework. So again, number one is, if you are in my world this is the path, this is where we're trying to take you. This is the experiences we want you to have with us here in Mexico, do these kind of things. And number two is, for your own business, understanding that's what the value ladder actually looks like, it's not more stuff, more stuff, more stuff. Again, I look at Brooke's business and it's one insanely good framework. And then it's just gone deep, and deep, and deep on that to the point where she's got one of if not the most successful info product businesses in the industry today, from one framework. So I want you guys to understand that because it's powerful, it's cool, it's exciting and hopefully it gets you as excited as well. So, with that said, thanks for listening and hopefully you'll be here with us in Mexico at the next Mastermind in Paradise, which will be coming in about a year from right now. All right, thanks so much and I will talk to you guys soon.
“The art of one to many selling”, is a potential tagline. The to do list is rather larger. Hiring a designer for the logo art takes the weight of the world of my shoulders. I'm recording this in the evening time. It's very peaceful in my house very quiet. A train will perhaps go by. Anyway, this episode is going to be about what happened today. Again what happened today? And as a reminder, there's you know, I'm all in on Russell Brunson right now click funnels and all that stuff. Funnel Hacking live funnel hacking. Dot com secrets traffic secrets. What else am I deep in right now? I'm deep in expert secrets right now. Getting ready to do some sort of a webinar it seems. And all the work within that. And also yes, a reminder that I am rebranding the podcast to Table Rush. The Table Rush master class and marketing and sales secrets the table rush… Table Rush, masterclass marketing and sales secrets I was thinking for a moment perhaps to go... What was it the art of one to many selling... because that is in essence what the Table Rush is a result of one to many selling. So webinar is one to many selling a webinar. Much of the internet internet sales is one to many selling. but I decided that... I wasn't sure yet if I was going to go with the art of one to many selling or or the Table Rush masterclass marketing and sales secrets because I do have a history of some one to one selling and that's a very valuable skill.Mischa Zvegintzov 02:15So I digress we were going to talk about what happened today. Why I started talking about Russell Brunson in the first place was as I am looking at of this chart of of episode ideas. this could be for your YouTube channel for your email, email sequences for your blogging for your podcast, and there's 16 of them. And one of them is "episode style". "What happened today?" So what happened today? I'm going to tell you what happened today. I'm very excited. And it took me a bit to get to it. But I hired a logo developer for my Table Rush masterclass logo for both the podcast and for the YouTube channel. Because I need to have that because I'm going to be making the switch soon. So as you listen to this episode, it may or may not the change may or may not be official. but it is coming just know so it's not a surprise to you. And you can look forward to my, to the spiritual side of what I've been talking about on the pitch slab podcast to be my spirituality as it expresses itself through my entrepreneurship. Or perhaps it's my entrepreneurship, as it expresses itself through my spirituality. But it's been happening on the podcast either way, so I ordered I ordered the logo work so I'm very excited about that. Which means I'm committed and it's happening and I felt the clock ticking and I was like we need to get that done. And what's interesting about that is is I felt I don't know if you ever have this I'm sure you do but you can email me and let me know or or my emails in the in the show notes my email address. but I can feel there's that one thing that that subconsciously you're not getting it done. or subconsciously I'm not getting it done and I feel behind and I feel like everything's falling apart. and oh no, the you know the wheels are coming off the bus. The train is coming off the tracks. However you want to say it. that I was feeling that with the with the podcast art.Mischa Zvegintzov 04:55So I put this big list of I'm looking at it right now have to does on my whiteboard and and I'm I'm picking one to get done for sure. Right like looking at the list I've got all sorts of things on their. podcast art. YouTube art. Passport. I'm going on a Russell Brunson... He's got a trip to Mexico for his 2CCX'ers. And people from his mastermind go as well, or his inner circle, excuse me. so I'm super excited for that. But I've got Table Rush speaker invites on there. I've got you know, framework number one offer number one needs to be worked. on my value ladder mission statement for Facebook. So that was the other thing that I got done yesterday. I got my value ladder mission statement up on my Facebook profile. And that was another big thing that was was that I was feeling the weight of the world on my shoulders for something so simple. And that's I help entrepreneurs jumpstart the growth of their business to this crazy funky new age communication tool, the winfomercial. Yeah, so I got that up on my Facebook profile, and I did a couple of cool little things on it. So we'll see if that gets me any traction or what the response is. So those are the two things that I was going to talk about what happened today and got a bunch of other stuff up there. find test subjects for my winfomercial so I can do proof of concept. how to introduce people on the winfomercial. there's speakers who sell from stage that are very successful at it like to be introduced... there's a very there's a high converting way to do it. A really good way to do it. So I want to make sure that I get that locked down, get some examples of that. Practice future pacing. these can all be different episodes, I can talk about what the future pacing is. trial closes. Get my trial, the trial closes on the card. So a lot of a lot of sales one to many, whether it's webinars are old school, infomercials or sales letters, or all these sorts of things, there's trial closes. And so you write them on the cards, put them on your desk. That way when you're interviewing somebody or or doing a webinar you can put in the trial closes. And if you're unsure what a trial closes, what we'll save that for another episode. And then I'm still working on the groups to get to 100,000 people to interact with. and some other things up there, but as I pick a main one, to knock it off the list while I'm working on others, it's actually working very well. So great day to finally have ordered the artwork. I felt a weight lifted off my shoulders. And that's where we are. Have a great day. Hopefully you got some good tips out of there if you're if you're following along and starting your own ventures or working on your own ventures PEACE OUT
Accelerated Path To Peace, Table Rush. This episode is about how I can't spell “entrepreneur” or “entrepreneurial”! Time to record the new intro's outro's for the podcast rebrand to Table Rush. And to make the art for the new Table Rush podcast name and sister YouTube channel as well. A bit of discussion of my Winformercial method.Administrative: (See episode transcript below)Check out the Tools For A Good Life Summit here: Virtually and FOR FREE https://bit.ly/ToolsForAGoodLifeSummitStart podcasting! And then also laced in within all that are mixed in with that where I am on on the change from The Accelerated Path To Peace to Table RushMischa Zvegintzov 00:37so as I as my as my direction is becoming clearer and I'm and I've committed to changing to Table Rush you know, I've got to get, I get to get new logos made. I get to record new intros new outros. Since a YouTube channel is starting, I'll get to do some, you know, some visual intros and outros for video. So that'll be super fun. And that's honestly one of the things that will keep me from making the change. The official change is that I need that those logos and things and so that way, when I make the change, I can have the new branding, I could make the change without the branding. And when the branding comes around, it comes around, but I'd like to have it be seamless. And it also gives me time to, you know, get the word out there that name and branding of the podcast is changing from the from the you know, The Accelerated Path To Peace to to Table Rush. It's funny, I did have a thought for a bit to go call it bitch slap Business Edition, instead of pitch, slap The Accelerated Path To Peace . And then my coach fans said, Hey, man, you know, just cleaning easy, just change the name of the podcast, Table Rush and have fun with it. And I'd love that idea. And I'd love that thought. And, of course, as you heard for a few episodes there, I had a panic moment that that wouldn't be able to happen due to RSS feeds, subdomains domains, all this podcast hosting Tech Talk, that kind of threw me for a loop for a day or two. actually not too bad. But there was an episode where I wavered on the change. But changes definitely happening.Mischa Zvegintzov 02:52And so as I'm working on, I've got the winfomercial in the background as well. So the winfomercial is, is basically, you know, I've created this interview methodology to help deliver people's message, sales message, if they've got a project product, if they've got a message, so help people refine that create long form videos, quickly, effortlessly, relatively, effortlessly. And then someone's got good content, that they can't long form video content that they can slice dice for yet it do whatever, and it'll help generate leads and convert those leads into customers. And I've got this great methodology and very excited for that. So I'll have courses around that and coaching around that. And, you know, it'll help provide focus and direction and momentum for, for people. And I think one of the most exciting things is, for a lot of people that process of creating long form, video sales can be very burly, and take months and months of trial and error. And it cannot be fun, and it can be excruciating and frustrating. And all my skill sets, I've come up with a method to to streamline that process and make it fun and efficient and effective. So we all have that to look forward to.Mischa Zvegintzov 04:35So I've been working on the point of that whole diatribe right there, or that little story is that I've been working on. Well, there's the whole story of how it all came together as well. These epiphany moments of, of, of where people have asked me to help them with something I'm going to say that for another episode, just their stories to tell them that regard and I cannot wait to tell them. This episode is not about that. This episode is about how I can't spell entrepreneur, and entrepreneurial. And that a lot of times there goes to train. This episode is about how I can't spell entrepreneur, or entrepreneurial, and oftentimes have a hard time pronouncing it. And it's so funny as I was thinking as I'm committing to the entrepreneurial journey, and talking about it, and, and how I can help people with their entrepreneurial journey, providing them focus and, and then also, and then also, you know, getting people back to the basics of sales and marketing. And because that is so powerful, the blocking and the tackling, we need that. But I was trying to on some of the sales letters I'm creating in the marketing, I'm creating around that and the methodology around that and working on my offers. I'm having to spell entrepreneur, a lot, and entrepreneurial, and I can't spell that dang word.Mischa Zvegintzov 6:22like today, I was spelling it so badly in on, you know, my Word doc, or it's apple. So whatever the Apple version of that is, pages, the pages doc, that spelling it so badly that the pages dictionary couldn't give me an opinion on how to spell it correctly. And you know, your spelling words badly when the tech can't give you the replacement word. And I will say this, a lot of times if I can't spell a word, and I'm trying to spell it on the on the Apple doc, or the word doc, and that dictionary isn't working, you can go to the Google and the Google has so much more brain power, it will usually very quickly figure out the correct spelling. So anyhow, I was I had thought I was like, Oh my gosh, I I want to be talking about entrepreneurs, talking to talking to entrepreneurs, spelling, entrepreneur, writing entrepreneurial stuff. I mean, all centered around entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial, better learn how to spell it. So I was today. It was totally breaking it down. So I'm going to try it right now as I'm walking on tray. This is how I broke it down entre e n t r e p r e. E n t r e p r e . And then it's "newer", and I believe the last bit is n u e r. So I think I got it. "Entre" e n t r e p r e n u e r... There you go entrepreneur. I think I got it dialed in. I just thought that was so funny. And the irony that that's what I'm going head deep into talking about and can't spell it. Anyway, so much. So many tales to tell so much inspiration to share with you. This is all come together and I can't wait to help people. Yes! All my skills, all of what I'm good at are hopefully coming together. And I'm having one of the blissey moments right now, which you get to hear of like there's no where but up. But of course as I start making offers and bringing it to market, there's going to be the ups and downs of that whole thing. and what I think my vision is and where it's going to end up. Oh my gosh, am I ready for that journey? Anyway, love to all
How much longer can I keep teasing the podcast name change to Table Rush! Not much longer I hope. It is eminent. I talk about the journey to this point and the refining of the Perfect Customer. What message I want to bring. Etc. And just a bit reflective on the path to this point. Lots to be grateful for.Administrative: (See episode transcript below)Check out the Tools For A Good Life Summit here: Virtually and FOR FREE https://bit.ly/ToolsForAGoodLifeSummitStart podcasting! Oh my God. There's so many distractions right now. cars everywhere. I walking a different route and there's so many people. it's Halloween ish. people in costumes skateboarders. people with kids dressed up their dogs dressed up. A whole pack of 30 somethings just skateboarded by dressed up as everything from... It's all ladies so from cowboys dressed up as males to bunnies to everything in between. all on skateboards some of them pushing kids. but oh my goodness, and I'm just having bouts of insecurity as I'm walking with my phone and my MV88 mic recording. Anyhow talk about messy action but this thought is so top of mind for me that I've just got to express it. And and basically it's that you know, The original podcast The Accelerated Path To Peace podcast you know, although I'm changing the name and doing a rebrand to Table Rush. Table Rush masterclass. that the original accelerated path to peace podcast was indeed you know, documenting, documenting of my, of my entrepreneurial journey, the starting of the podcast, just to add a year ago. You know, hitting a year ago, this actually could be on the actual year anniversary. But, you know, step one, define an audience or your, your, you know, your dream customer.Mischa Zvegintzov 02:14So I worked up a rudimentary dream customer to get into the game who I thought it was, and that was the, perhaps, you know, brokenhearted, divorce dad? And how do we, how do we help that person get back on track? Or what when they're ready, you know, they're like, Alright, I'm done suffering. And being in the mire. So, let's, let's break through and in charge forward. and, and then, you know, the dream 100 putting together that list of 100 people who, who I want to work with in that regard. So there was so many people that helped me along the way with meditation, yoga, spiritual practices, energy work, writing, journaling, you know. Kyle Cease was in there such a major influence on me. And, you know, Rod Stryker, and his, his ideas, and the, the Dharma code, you know, your life mission statement. and, and working on all that stuff, and really going deep with meditation and writing and journaling and self growth. and and hunkering down you know, and, anyhow. so all those people within all those modalities, and then really having my mind open to, well, there's those modalities that Misha used. And there's the, you know, recovery framework that's within athletes been such a big part of my life for 30 years, 35 years, on my whole life, really, because my parents were trying to get sober in my youth, as well. So deep roots there, but that there's all these other modalities that once I opened my mind, just a little, it was like, wow, there's all this cool stuff out there cool ways to calm your mind to find center to tap into, you know, to tap into your inspiration. and and, you know, the tools of a Good Life Summit came out of that as I started interviewing all these amazing people and all these things. and all that's a big part of the entrepreneurial journey, right? Mischa trying to find what he's good at. How can Mischa help? Who is that person that Mischa can help?Mischa Zvegintzov 04:58And then, you know, bring entrepreneurship into that which I love entrepreneurship and have my whole life and, and it's a great my spirituality absolutely expresses itself through my entrepreneurship. And so although, you know, there's some changes ahead that hopefully everybody will stay with me with and enjoy and like and prosper in, but perhaps not I totally understand it. I am just trying to say that we're not trying to say I am saying that... you know, the first 360 episodes have been about my entrepreneurial journey, and my struggles with new ideas, new concepts, learning new things. And the online world. I've been so offline. For the last five years, as I've dug into yoga, and all that stuff, like, I was basically non existent on the social media and really just digging deep on the internal work. So this is like a fast forward process for me. Or was that is that the right word? Fast forward? I don't know, I think you understand what I'm saying. But just talking about the learning and things I'm trying to do to grow an audience that, you know, building summits, all these things. And it's interesting, because I really was relatively tech savvy. You know, in my younger years, that's normal for a lot of adults, actually, we sort of are super tech savvy and then we turn into the parents who aren't tech savvy, perhaps. And I've definitely experienced some of that. But still am tech savvy. I love the direct response marketing. I thrived within that, and the mortgage business for 15 years, and creating flyers and mailing lists and mailing to them and then, you know, collecting emails and nurturing my old clients with email campaigns, and then being available when they needed help.Mischa Zvegintzov 07:18And, and so this is very much, Mischa 2.0. And, you know, the, the, the emergence of that and, and I hope people are learning and enjoying the ride with me, and I'm doing my best to add value. And I just, I guess, maybe this in an appreciation for where I am right now. and how some things and ideas are coalescing, and coming together. and that although you know, it's a, it's a big shift in branding and podcast name, that it's exciting for me because it's going to be more focused. I'm dialing in the focus, right, the original, you know, thesis for The Accelerated Path To Peace was very broad, very broad, you know, a wide net. and, but very much about documenting my entrepreneurial journey, trying to be of service trying to learn how to craft my skills to bring the market and an entrepreneur way. and then hopefully, hopefully, inspire other people to do the same. And just have fun too. I'm big about having fun these days. You know, what, I do this for free and for fun? Yes, I would. And it turns out I am, because I am not at profitability yet. I'm trying. I'm working hard. But hopefully that's around the corner at some point. And anyway, I I just I'm just very excited to continue to talk in a more focused way about my entrepreneurial journey. about the skills and tools and frameworks and systems that I'm creating to help people. And that you get to come along with me and yeah, that's what I've got. I think that's enough. So So to recap, you know, the, The Accelerated Path To Peace podcast was very much about my entrepreneurial journey, can literally hear it almost from the beginning 360 episodes ago to where I am now today. And this is just a refinement of that focus of that and, and so much of the musings again won't be the same. But hopefully there'll be more focused and more useful and more... you know, I'll have... again as I've said... what I'm good at, I'll be able to you know, turn into products to help people. So there we go enough out to me. Thank you for listening. The change to the new podcasts name. Table Rush is eminent. Hopefully it will not be a surprise for you when that happens. All right, love to all.
I start to talk breakdown what the new Table Rush Talk Show is going to be about. How it's going to look. And how it's going to work. The kind of interviews you have to look forward to. The topics of episodes. Etc… And I float my idea of Spirituality expressed through entrepreneurship. The new. Sorry, I lost my train of thinking all of a sudden, it seems to happen to me. Cut, edit. Let's start again. Start again. Okay. On today's episode, we are going to talk about the theme of the new Table Rush, masterclass podcast, and You Tube channel, the rebranding of what once was to something new. And here we go, here's, here's I'm gonna give you the intro really quick welcome everybody to the Table Rush masterclass, where we get back to the marketing basics, excuse me, where we get back to the marketing and sales basics to help entrepreneurs, entrepreneurs, like you grow your business to $1 million, annual revenue and beyond. And there'll be a few things going on within that. So we'll have interviews, and a few different types of interviews. So we've got I have I know a bunch of people and because my network grows, meeting more and more people that have successful million dollar annual revenue businesses, and some are well beyond that. And so let's interview those individuals. Get them on the podcast, and talk about what they do, how they got their, their successes. And, and, and, and pick their brains and, and then that'll be amazing, yes. And then also, I'll be able to help them because hopefully, some of their services will be in line with with with many or much of our listenership so. So they can have some fractional gain is that incremental gain.Mischa Zvegintzov 02:22But also, I know that so many entrepreneurs out there that are having success, love to share their message, love to give back. Love those mentor opportunities. So I'm super excited to interview, interview these people, and learn from them. And just, I have such a passion and interest in businesses of what people do do, what people do and their niches, and it fascinates me and always has. And was one of the things that actually made me a great loan officer was I loved the income part of taking that loan application. And I dealt with a lot of higher loan amounts. So I got to deal with a lot of business owners and I got to deal with a lot of help a lot of, you know, VP, level president level C level manager level. Style people. And I just always loved my whole life, I've been fascinated by what people do. Again, so very exciting for me. And then, you know, what's the word I'm looking for, you know, the inspiration that entrepreneurs bring. There's a word I'm looking for visionary, so, you know, getting some visionary entrepreneurs on as well. And you know, there's so much heartfelt movement, there's so much good being done. So many people creating businesses that are, you know, of service and people are able to talk about that. Very excited for that. So, enough about that. Then we've got the whole section of entrepreneurs who are who are just getting started or on their way some are on that journey to, to, you know, that million dollar revenue mark, annual revenue mark, and I think it's gonna be really fun to document that part of the journey and especially before and after stories, so talk to someone you know, who's just getting started or, you know, maybe has their foundation firmly in place. That journey, the journey, right. So be able to document before and after. So I'm so excited to do that.Mischa Zvegintzov 05:09And then And then, you know, there's, as my mission and how I can help people, you know, find focus and get back to the sales and marketing basics and, and, you know, bring my frameworks and this win this win infomercial framework system that I've developed to help people it'll be really fun to be able to document the successes and failures of that process as well. So, you know, get get people on the podcast, who are, who are having, you know, that experience of working with me. So that is going to be exciting. And then, and then some of my daily musings per usual on the podcast that I already do. So the interviews as well will all be on YouTube. So we can really, you know, strip out the audio and get the audio to the, to the podcast channel as well. But really, I think the interview is so much, so much of the passion and emotion and although it comes through on podcast interviews, the visual to be able to see that on, you know, video, that opportunity is huge, very excited for that. So I cannot wait to do that on the YouTube channel. So you'll be able to hear the interviews, and in both formats, and then I just want to talk about the million dollar mark, right, it's this million dollar annual revenue, and it's just more of a metric, I would say. So. It's, it's more about once you're hitting that mark, you know, that your message, your passion, what you're entrepreneuring how you're being of service to the world is working, you're getting your message out there, and you're being effective. And so I just like that, that metric. So it's, it's, it's, it means that you're, you're carrying your message. And I love that, and I love that idea. And I love that concept.Mischa Zvegintzov 07:41And then also, having cash flow can be fun. So let's make no mistake about it if you're able to, you know, generate some revenue and then be able to give back with that revenue and donate and all the stuff that comes with that. Super cool gas, so just very excited. And I can't wait to to, you know, see how my spiritual spirituality and my spiritual messages, you know, manifest through my entrepreneurship or, like entrepreneurship is, is an outlet for that and, and as so many, for so many people, it turns out in the growth that entrepreneurial entrepreneurship affords, and you know, the faith and going into center and and he knows trusting and adversity and setbacks, and just the journey, the hero's journey, so amazing. So that's what you have to look forward to, on the Table Rush Podcast. I'm getting some new logos done and we'll have a new intro and outro so hopefully, I can make that official really soon. Realistically, you'll have a few more episodes at least where I will be letting you know that the change is happening. So it won't be a completely a rude awakening and and I understand if some people will not groove on the message so much anymore. But I totally get it seems it's a maturation for me and and I think yeah. I think this next episode I will talk about how you know, the entrepreneurial journey has been such a big part of the original podcast anyway. So that's it I'll talk about in the next episode love to all
Turns out that changing the name of the podcast is going to be easier than I thought. All of the worrying about the underlying tech was unfounded. So yet again, making decisions on false assumptions, comes back to give me a little bit in the butt. ...and as I'm publishing this episode I am running out the door to see Bill Burr... Anyhow today we're going to discuss the change of the podcast name I was in a bit of a panic mode and I recorded on the last episode about the potential name change. So I'm going to talk about that today. Yes, so I am going to change the name of the podcast it turns out and I will change it to table rush table rush master class perhaps when you listen to this episode The name will be changed no I'm not going to do that because I want to give everybody plenty of notice that the name is changing so you know and there's a lesson in all this which I'm going to talk about right now. And I've been through it a few times as I have created the bitch slap podcast as I've as I've you know, worked on becoming an and and Amazon affiliate and got kicked off as I was clawing and scratching to be a to get my apple my original thing you know bitch slap accelerated path to peace podcast approved with Apple there's a consistent theme and all this and one is I will make assumptions about how I think things work and I will take actions according to the assumption or inactions according to that assumption and blended in there as is I will see the rules and perhaps think they don't apply to me as well as take some action based on not complete you know information and and have reactionary moments which is normal for everybody if you are above that or oblivious to that I'm not sure if oblivious is the right word to use there are immune to that well God bless you and I will also say that it doesn't happen all the time it's usually when if there's a mission critical thing happening and I perhaps think well I suppose it is mission critical thing all this stuff in hindsight is not been mission critical I think you get what I'm saying. So in a perfect world I would have these thought streams ironed out perfectly. So it was a cohesive easy flowing easy read of an episode however, so I was all excited originally to change the name of the podcast to to table rush. And then I sort of panicked like I was ready to let go of the of the bitch slap name. And I effectively moved on from it in my head. Although as I've gotten traction with that podcast with this podcast over the last six weeks I was like wait what what am I doing? But I'm so had some reclaimed attachment to the original podcast name. That might be a good way to say it.Mischa Zvegintzov 04:53So filler word filler word. So I started looking into changing the podcast name. And there's RSS feeds, and subdomains and all this stuff associated with a podcast and who hosts your podcast? And I overreacted? And was like, I can't just change the name. I can't just change the name. Which is not true, actually. And so I sort of panicked. And was like, Well, I guess I'm going to keep the bitch slap accelerated path to peace name, and this and that, because I thought that the underlying subdomains or the domains would keep the original title in it. And the change of the title wouldn't filter down through through the subdomains, and domains and all this sort of stuff. And and after the last episode I recorded, which I was like not not changing the name. I was like, wait a minute, this can't be right, I've got to do a little bit of digging, I can't it's not realistic. It's not seamless. It's not efficient. It's not. It's a diluted message to have. The table rush, masterclass YouTube channel, and then the original pitch, slap accelerated path piece podcast name, like the the, the messages aren't necessarily as cohesive as they could be, or as efficient as they could be. It sounds like man, I might just have to give up the podcast all together. And, and so I was like, Well, wait a minute. Why don't I actually ask the question of the podcast people? Can I change the name? And the branding of it? And will that filter down through the domain subdomains? Etc, etc? And the RSS, the RSS feed will be fine? And the answer was, yes. And I was like, Oh, my goodness, I can change the podcast name. It can all be clean, and easy and work together. And I recorded that last episode, one right before this, or maybe two ago, let's either perhaps it's two ago, one or two ago where I was like, I'm not changing the name. After all. That is not true. Maybe I didn't even publish that episode, as you listen to this, just know that I had a panic moment. And and thought that I wasn't gonna be able to change the name on it. So I think that's super funny. And it happened to me when Apple was giving me pushback about my podcast name. And I was like, Oh, my gosh, I might need to change the name to God shot. And there's that whole series back 300 episodes ago, when I was just getting started, but it was a same sort of a thing i i kind of spent time in reaction mode instead of time in find out how it actually works, Mohammed. Right, so I just assumed the answer that would allow or justify the, the the change from bitch slap to God shot when it was like, Oh, I just needed to dig a little bit more, send the app the email to Apple customer service. And once I finally did that step, which I assumed it wouldn't work literally. I was like, apple won't respond to the customer service inquiry. They're too big of a corporation. So why bother? Why not start designing new logos to God shot? Why not record new intros and outros? Why not do all this work? So I did a good week or 10 days of work. And finally, it was like, Maybe you should just send that email and see what happens. So I sent the email to Apple customer service. And they responded so quickly. They helped me work through the issue. And there was no problem. I just had basically a truncated version of the same experience just now, except it only took two days.Mischa Zvegintzov 09:50And only one recorded episode where I put the brakes on the name change, but just know that the podcast name is changing. I'll be definitely talking about much of much of these business concepts. But still talking about spiritual stuff. How did I say it earlier is I was interviewing somebody. And we were having some pre conversation I said, yeah, the name is changing and, and effectively, it's going to be how, you know, our spirituality comes through, and our entrepreneurship. I actually wrote it down was a great little quote. So that's what's happening. That's what's going on. Thank you, everybody, for your patience. Thank you for listening. Thank you for being on this amazing journey with me as I as I continue to grow and refine what I'm doing and yes, have a good day.
As we get ready to complete the rebrand of the podcast to the “Table Rush Talk Show”. I believe that we can express our spirituality through our entrepreneurship. So we're going to be talking a lot about that in future episodes, and just growing businesses and having fun in sales and marketing and all kinds of good stuff. I believe a big part of expressing ourselves through entrepreneurship is meditation. And so with that I bring you the “Bliss Meditation.” A meditation written by Rod Stryker.Administrative: (See episode transcript below)Check out Rod Strykers "The Four Desires Here". https://amzn.to/3y7m7KHCheck out the Tools For A Good Life Summit here: Virtually and FOR FREE https://bit.ly/ToolsForAGoodLifeSummitStart podcasting! And again, as a reminder, I'm in a rebrand and just about to change the name of the podcast from Bitch Slap ...The Accelerated Path To Peace over to the table rush, talk show. It's going to be more entre proneural minded, entrepreneurial minded. Again, this is the Thursday meditation, so hang in there with me.00:40 I believe that we can express our spirituality through our entrepreneurship. So we're going to be talking a lot about that in future episodes, and just growing businesses and having fun in sales and marketing and all kinds of good stuff. I believe a big part of expressing ourselves through entrepreneurship is meditation. And meditation is such a powerful tool to help us tap into that creative zone. To co create with the universe. to be inspired. to learn how to be nice and calm when the battle gets strong, shall we say. But nonetheless, here's a meditation. This meditation is a script that I have grabbed from Rod Strykers the forward desires. So let's get started. And be aware that there are some some spaces of time in here where I will not be talking. So it might be a minute, at some points and some points, two minutes where I won't be talking. So the meditation will be over, I will just be being quiet. So let's get started.02:03 Start by sitting tall, either in a comfortable and supportive chair, or on your couch or perhaps you've pulled over and are sitting in your car. The key thing to me is that you're sitting comfortably, where you can sit for 15 or 20 minutes withoutfeeling like you're having to hold a position if that makes sense.02:35 Alright, here we go.02:37 Close your eyes02:42 become aware of your body02:46 just relax and feel your body at rest.02:54 Become aware of effortless breathing02:59 feel the whole body03:02 and feel it breathing effortlessly?04:05 Now we're going to begin to count backward on our breath.04:12 We're going to start up the number 10. And whenever we notice our body breathe out, that will be the first count. So breathe in.04:29 First exhale 1004:36 Breathe in04:43 next exhale eight.04:48 Continue breathing. Each breath is a step backward where you feel your body and mind relax.05:00 acts more and more deeply05:06 continue05:09 the closer you get to zero05:12 the more your body and mind approach a state of complete ease05:21 on each exhale peel away another layer of stress and tension05:35 at zero rest in complete stillness and peace05:41 for a moment just feel the presence of stillness and peace.06:46 Now bring your attention to your forehead in the space between your eyebrows as you hold your attention there.07:59 Become aware of your body breathing,08:04 don't force or try to shape your breath.08:08 Just be aware of the point between your eyebrows and your body breathing08:16 the more effortless you can be the better.09:20 Allow your awareness to connect your breath to the point between your eyebrows.09:29 Now when you notice the body breathing in, your awareness moves from the point between your eyebrows to the midbrain.09:40 Something called the third eye.09:44 The midbrain is the point in the middle of your brain, roughly between your temples.09:52 When you notice your body breathing out, sense your awareness moving from the point from10:00 that point to the point between your eyebrows10:05 continue10:07 just continue to feel your awareness move from one point to another on the movement of your breath10:18 as you breathe in, awareness moves from the center of the eyebrows to the midbrain.10:27 As you breathe out awareness moves from the midbrain to the center eyebrow to the eyebrows Center.12:46 As your mind begins to settle,12:50 you will begin to feel the practice becoming more effortless and a growing sense of calm. Continue15:01 gradually you will become so relaxed your mind so quiet that you will be able to rest15:12 your whole being absorbed in a rhythm of deep rest and contentment17:23 as you experience this sense yourself becoming fully absorbed in the center just be there watch feel and listen?19:37 As the mind and body enter into a rhythm of deep peace and effortlessness, you begin to sense that your awareness at the point between your eyebrows moves in and out on its own independent of the breath19:59 eventually you can stop thinking about and working with a breath and just be aware of a kind of effortless pulse moving in in and out of the Third Eye Center20:17 gradually feel a sense of bliss unfolding your whole being flooded with a boundless sense of contentment and joy20:29 don't try just be aware and at the same time completely effortless contentment will continue to unfold the more completely you let go into effortlessness?22:46 now become aware that the source of this contentment and joy you are experiencing is actually coming from you. It is you continue letting go into the meditation until you feel that you are the source of joy and bliss. Eventually your body will feel so full of ease that you won't need to do the practice anymore.23:19 At that point, notice a feeling of deep peace both inside and outside you25:39 remain in this place for as long as you like.25:44 The meditation is complete.25:48 When you're ready,25:51 bring your awareness back to your breath.25:55 Breath in26:01 gentle breath out through the mouth.26:08 Breath in through the nose26:13 gentle breath out through the mouth.26:18 Wiggle your fingers26:24 wiggle your toes26:31 roll your head from side to side. Blink your eyes open.26:38 Embrace the new awareness26:42 that you have of your surroundings.26:45 And take that wisdom that you have that connection to your center and bring that to the rest of your day.26:56 Have a fabulous day27:11 Thank you, thank you. A little update on the general direction of what I'm doing. Lot's of messy action. I've started the Table Rush YouTube channel without all the cool logos, intros, outs, etc. But I have no audience to offend yet so get after it. I hint that I might not rebrand the podcast to Table Rush (Spoiler alert! I am absolutely rebranding this podcast to Table Rush.) And I finally am willing to talk about my new idea… If you have a product, you'd like to create a long form sales video to sell that product. I've got a structure a method a process to make that enjoyable, easy and fun. So I've got my my Table Rush, YouTube channel up and running. It's not pretty, it's not sexy yet, but it is up and running. We've got some interviews on there, and I've got some momentum. And I decided to just take super messy action and start going before I had all the cool intros, outros, logos, any of that stuff. Like to start getting those episodes up, man. There's no audience there yet anyway, so there's no one to be offended. And I've got my Bitch Slap podcast, which you're listening to Hello. And so I was going to believe a few episodes ago, I was talking about having the Table Rush, rebranding the Bitch Slap ...The Accelerated Path To Peace Podcast, to Table Rush, but I had an epiphany that the cleanest easiest way to go is just keep doing my daily musings on the Bitch Slap podcast, and then start doing just create that YouTube channel that I always wanted to create. And that is the Table Rush Masterclass YouTube channel. So I'm going to keep it nice and clean and the bitch slap podcast will continue on and there will be business themes weaved on through it just as there was before. I actually don't think there's going to be much change other than then. Yeah, I don't think there's gonna be much change, just keep tracking the growth of the, of the project that I'm up to the co-creating with the universe. So awesome. Interviews might change a little bit, I might pull the Table Rush interviews and post them on this podcast. But we'll see. I just want to say that all signs, the universe has given me tons of feedback that I am absolutely on the right track. With with the Table Rush idea, and then also keeping the, the podcast so that feels good.Mischa Zvegintzov 02:59 So there'll be no re branding of the podcast. And you could anticipate me pointing you to the Table Rush podcast from from this Table Rush YouTube channel from this podcast and what's so what I'm so excited about on the on the YouTube channel is I like interacting in the video format. And I think it's fun to watch the speakers and the interviewees interact and it just as it's a ton of fun, it's a it's a great way to interact, and also reach a different segment of my audience. So super excited about that. We're so excited to have it be absolutely business oriented. And to really delve into that side of things. And I think so much personal and spiritual growth can come from, you know, entrepreneurship and being of service and trying to be of service to community and creating that win win win environment. that it's gonna be super fun to explore and bring my spiritual side into that into that business realm. As that was all we're already doing. Just a more focused just a more focused direction and approach, which I guess is a natural progression of finding my voice and learning and, and seeing how and who I can serve in the best wayMischa Zvegintzov 05:01 Okay, enough of that, that one thing that. So I had this inspiration. And this inspiration was about how to use my interviewing techniques. My openness and my, you know, my big heart, my childish curiosity, my true interest and other people in business endeavors that that could be a skill to nurture. And to help people in the business realm. So one idea for that is, is to, by the interview process, help people suss out their message. And with the method that I'm creating, to help them create content that will create traffic, and convert that traffic into customers. And, by me, bringing my natural skills and interests to market to do that. Boy. So what I've created, gonna say it I've been holding back and hesitant, I want this to be the perfect episode to say it. The process I've created or creating, it's almost done almost ready to be rolled out. It's called the Winfomercial. The Winfomercial! It's kind of like, like, it's like blending the old and the new, it's funky, new, this funky, New Age communication tool. And, yes, I've got some, some beta customers that I'm bringing through and working on the process with them. And it's pretty exciting. Totally winging this episode, now promote. So it wasn't really prepared to talk about it. But I just turned out turns out the universe wants me to get it out there. So. So you can think of it this way. You have a product, you'd like to create a long form sales video to sell that product. I've got a structure a method a process to make that enjoyable, easy and fun. And I'll interview you. And your natural charisma, the best parts of you will easily shine. And so I'll just I'll take a lot of that weight off of your shoulders. I'll be the director, the producer. And I know what questions to ask. And my shiny character, my shining light, my openness, my true enthusiasm. And Curiosity will suss out, in you, what needs to be conveyed into the sales message. There's a whole bunch of other stuff going on there too. But that's the gist of it. Thank you for listening. I will learn how to say it better. But that's what's happening. So I'm super excited to put it out there into the world like this. It's not anticipating that so. Wow. Anyway, that's the direction that's what's happening. Thank you for being part of my creative process. Thank you for sticking with me and learning with me and growing with me and yes, take some risks. Try some things. Go for it. Right. There's some endeavors that you want to try. Perhaps give them a go that's it I'm done. Peace out.
The strategy is join five or so FaceBook groups that have a 100k members total. Than interact with those groups to generate organic traffic to your FB page, lead magnets ect. Step A) was leave all of the groups I didn't like! Step B is find groups that I want to interact with. That have quality interactions. It turns out it's a lot of work to find those quality groups that are a good fit. So with some effort I've seen my Podcast downloads increase 25%! With some at least doubling weeks. On this episode, I'm going to discuss the effectiveness of the 100k Facebook group strategy. Because I've been having some interesting results, some interesting results. So that'll be super fun to talk about.Mischa Zvegintzov 00:24 (Intro) Imagine a conscious contact with God so strong, that no matter what you are doing or not doing, that no matter what your kids are up to, or )Inot up to, and then whether you've got the person of your dreams or they're just not cooperating, that you are happy content, and at peace, a space where everyone else's thoughts, attitudes and actions are beautiful, and exactly as they are supposed to be. Well, this is the space where I like to play. My name is Misha Z. And this is today's pitch slap. Join me as I shed light on the thoughts, actions and attitudes that are causing you pain. And we train our minds to go to the capital S inner self, the joy that is waiting for us that God with in.Mischa Zvegintzov 01:16 Yes, the Russell Brunson 100k Facebook group strategy to grow your audience. And I would be naive to think if Russell Brunson wasn't the only one to have the strategy. But he's where I stumbled across it. And yeah, so it's it's kind of working. But before I get to that, I just want to say that my Table Rush masterclass YouTube channel, go check it out, just Google Table Rush masterclass. And it should come up. And you can check it out there should be by the time this episode publishes a good 5, 6, 7, 8 or 9 interviews up there. But I keep getting confirmation that I am on the right track with that. So, you know, let's get back to the 100k. Cuz it could be a whole other episode. Yes, sorry, for the distraction. Since time is valuable, I'm not going to start over. But the 100k group strategy is such you find groups that you're interested in being a part of on Facebook, right? For anybody who is unaware, there's all sorts of cool Facebook groups out there on every niche, you can comprehend. Some of the groups are private. So you either need to be invited into the group, or you can ask to be invited, or you can ask for them to let you in. And some Facebook groups come with paid coaching. So perhaps you're in a paid coaching group and they have a Facebook group, stuff like that. But all sorts of different all sorts of different Facebook groups.Mischa Zvegintzov 03:39 Sorry, I'm a bit diverted. I'm an hoovering. Moms with dogs moms with kids. It's Halloween, right around the corner has ever recorded this. So we've got kids in Batman and Superman, princesses all over the place. All right, I made it through. And anyone who has a podcast or YouTube channel or a blog, a key to consistent publishing, is finding the times where you know you can you can bang out an episode. And so for me, it's when I'm walking. It's easy for me to record a podcast episode, you just get to hear my distraction as I stumble across kids.Mischa Zvegintzov 04:29 Anyhow, pick your groups. And so I've got some marketing groups. I'm interested in, obviously some Russell Brunson coaching group that I'm in small private group. I was in every kind of group. Not every kind of is that a lot of this like mindset groups, spirituality groups, you know, like Ram Das groups, when I thought I was going to be talking more and more about that and offering courses in that regard. I was in all those groups and but as I'm going a more business oriented direction, I found that those groups were you know... the according to the 100k strategy, you get into your groups that have 100,000 people, so. And then. So preferably those groups are 25,000 each or less. So, if you found four groups of, excuse me five groups of 20,000. Now, you've got 100,000 people, each day you answer three questions within each group. So they've got to be active groups that have lots of questions, flowing through opportunities for you to comment, and add value. And then also, you do a value post. So a value posts that is just like, this is the thing that I learned today, or I'm focusing on or whatever that adds value, but doesn't request anything of the group. And then as you're doing your value posts, and answering questions, people will go, "gosh, who is this amazing person that's giving these great answers to these questions, and he was dropping these value bombs". And then they'll click on your Facebook profile. And then on your Facebook profile, it perhaps says what you does, but you do, or has cool links to all your fun stuff, then bam, you're creating free organic traffic, to your content, lead magnets, all this kind of stuff.Mischa Zvegintzov 07:04 So initially, I was more on the, like, the spiritual oriented metaphysical style groups had a lot of them. And what I found that was that a lot of the questions that were being answered were, like, dark and just stuffed it in make me feel shiny, and "yay!", right? Like, oh, my God, this is stuff that I don't want to I don't, it's not for me, right? Currently answering these questions or doing value bombs there, or what have you. So the last week, I have been cleaning up my groups, because I want to be efficient in my groups, and be in groups that I like, and that I believe I can add value in and that are fun for me. I'm all about fun. Right now. It's got to be fun of some sort. I mean, there's always can be frustration in the moment, but over arching an overarching bit of fun. I would like it to be sorry, distractions abound isn't walking more than usual today, it seems. And so it was actually a surprising amount of work leaving groups. So that was step a, leave the groups that, that I that? The interactions, I don't like the people in the group or not, for me, the questions that are being answered, I don't care about or don't inspire me to respond to, right, just cleaning it up a house cleaning. so I must have cleaned out 20 groups. That also meant now that I needed to start finding groups that I want did want to interact with. So I've been doing that and and it's more work than you might think. Cuz a lot of the public groups. It's just nonsense posts, spammers, all kinds of stuff. God bless, right, like, promoting, promote, promote. And so I'm looking for groups where I'm looking for quality interactions. So I am looking at the interactions that are happening. Is there a lot of interaction? Is it quality? are intelligent questions being answered? are intelligent questions being asked? Telogen answers. You know, like, I like the smart stuff.Mischa Zvegintzov 09:52 And there's something you know, this is just, I know where I can do well in. So that's what I'm looking for. I know who and what I want to interact with. So your person, your group, might be completely different. And that's cool. Find the groups that you can thrive in, that it's natural for you to interact with. Now, it might take some courage to start interacting, but that's alright. I mean, you got to go for it. So yes, it's been, it's been a bit more work than I anticipated. Cleaning up all the groups, joining new groups, and then leaving the groups once the private ones they let you in, and you're like, yep, not for me, leave that group. And then, of course, building the habit of answering questions and value posts. So I just want to say that, as I've been focusing on this for two or three weeks now, it started by just answering questions. It works, the process works, like I literally went from it's, it's at least 25% increase in my (sounds like an add doesnt it). "At least 25% increase". A combination of Funnel Hacking Live, interacting with all the groups. Funnel Hacking Live group being one of them. So I got, I got to enter into that group as a result of going and it's a nice little group of a couple thousand People of like minded people... that there's a lot of interactions. So interacting in that group interacting in my coaching group interacting in a podcast group that I found. I went from, hopefully having, you know, 300 downloads a week, to my new bar is 400. Like, I went all the sudden, I started having some 800, or 900, download weeks. Where I'd never seen that before. And it was like, Wait a minute. So if you were to look at a graph, since Funnel Hacking live, you would see a steady increase as I've started interacting on groups that excite me. So I've got a long way to go to I get 100,000 People that I want to interact with within those groups. But per usual, as is the case was with most things. Effort! You put the effort in, you're going to get results, and it doesn't need to be perfect effort. So I'm finding that I'll report back on further growth is that happens. I would encourage anybody that's trying to grow an audience. Start interacting with groups that you like, on Facebook. And then on your Facebook page, when people come to your page to see who is this smart person that's interacting. They can naturally click on your podcast link. I've got my podcasts like there currently. So there you go. That's what I've got for you. This episodes stretched, a little stretched out a little bit. But pretty useful. Thanks for listening.Mischa Zvegintzov 13:49 (Outro) Thank you. Thank you. Thank you for spending time with me today. On this episode I commit to starting the Table Rush YouTube channel. But I'm still hedging on the podcast name change to “Table Rush”… At this point it is all about the path of least resistance. And trying to co create with the universe. Here is the first Table Rush interview as promised in the episode https://youtu.be/Qlp8Eu7hfXIAdministrative: (See episode transcript below)Check out the Tools For A Good Life Summit here: Virtually and FOR FREE https://bit.ly/ToolsForAGoodLifeSummitStart podcasting! Because I have been talking about changing the name of the podcast. So yes, I've been talking about changing the name of the podcast to Table Rush, because my new avatar, who's smart, by the way, thank you Waylon. The way he framed that, go back and listen to the previous episode. At the end, oh, my goodness, life is fun. I am so lucky to be able to do this. And have fun. Thank you for listening. So where did I end up with? What was happening with the podcast? My idea was to just rename this existing podcast to Table Rush and do a rebrand of it. Perhaps and and then people could see the journey with the podcast so it wouldn't be starting a brand new podcast and and I have been interviewing, doing these new interviews for Table Rush. So the Table Rush masterclass is table rush masterclass where we get back to the sales and marketing basics to help you get your company to $1 million and beyond. It's the new vision. And so I've got, you know, for episodes for interviews done as I record this episode right now.Mischa Zvegintzov 02:16 And as I have been doing some meditating and trying to align with source, as I co create with the universe, co create with God. I'm just gonna go ahead and say it, I've won't be bashful with it, right? Like, I'm trying to co create with God right now people. So one of the prayers I'm doing within that is "today, I will make no decisions by myself." "Today, I will make no decisions by myself." I believe I've talked about this idea on the previous episode. But basically, it just means like, try I'm working very hard to be co creating with God, my higher power source, the capital S inner self, the big self, not the egoic small self. And, and that so trying to work from that space, it's been very effective. And since some and so some awareness I got in that regard, strategically to move forward. Well, basically was this, like, Well, gosh, I need if I renamed the podcast. There's this RSS feed and there's the original, like, what's effect the.com name of the thing that's tied to the RSS feed this is all technobabble doesn't matter what it means is that it keeps the original Bitch Slap ...he Accelerated Path To Peace! moniker. Although that the title you would see might be different when you click on the link, you know, just the old Bitch Slap stuff, which is cool. And I love and I was like, gosh, I'm gonna need to recreate new intros and outros and the music and, and get new artwork for this rebranding. Excuse me, and I've got other stuff going on. And I actually don't even currently want to, I know how to find the who's to do it. But I don't even want to do that at the moment. And so I was like, at the same time in the back of my mind for a while. I've been wanting to create a YouTube channel.Mischa Zvegintzov 04:55 Because Because I'm like I need to I'm a personality. On camera and the people I interview show it when you interview them on camera, you can see their personality and that can be a fun way to see the content. So I've been very much wanting to start start a YouTube channel. And I didn't necessarily just want to do like the Bitch Slap podcast YouTube channel or wasn't inspired to and then all the sudden I was like wait a minute just go create the Bitch Slap Master or the excuse me the Table Rush Masterclass Podcast and channel and then you're good to go. And it all came together really quick. Like oh my gosh, I could literally I just went and created that channel about two seconds. And I've already got four so interviews I can start posting right away like it's so easy. I don't have to create intros, outros music, graphics, anything yet. I could literally just start posting the videos up there the interviews and get after it. And then I was like, hey, you know what a good idea is and we'll see if this happens. By the time this episode comes out, perhaps this will be happening. But the YouTube masterclass would... I could literally just say something like this. If you want to hear more of my daily musings, go over to the Bitch Slap, Bitch Slap ...Accelerated Path To Peace podcast, here's the link. And then on the podcast side, I could say hey, if you want to see any of these interviews moving forward. if you would like to watch them, instead of just listen to them. You can watch them over on the master class on the Table Rush Master Class YouTube channel, Geez Louise.Mischa Zvegintzov 07:24 And I'm thinking like yes, that's awesome that so that's what I'm going to do as I record this that's what I'm going to do. Some people might think that's a great idea. Some people might think it's a bad idea. more will be revealed. Sometimes you just got to go for it. And that's the path of least resistance. And right now that's what I need the path of least resistance. And I guess that's the path of least resistance. And I am wanting to my goal with this episode is to keep you engaged, keep you abreast of the journey and what I'm thinking so you can be along the ride with me on a more deeper level. Right like the shift is definitely going towards the business side of things but fully bring in the spiritual message. you know, co creation with the universe co creating with God all that stuff, all the spiritual tips and tricks that I do. Yeah, so I'm super excited. That's where we're headed. And hopefully, if you like, if you want to watch, watch an interview, go over to the Table Rush Master Class YouTube channel, the link will be in this episode. Where there we go. Now I've given myself a hard stop date or a hard start date. What is that? And if you want to hear my daily musings will just stay on listening to the podcast, and by all means do both. Alright. Believe I've covered everything. Love to all. Thank you for listening
First a quick pitch for you to BUY the SHURE MV88 MIC! And then the rest of the story of Waylon and his homework. That was hitting bottom for me with my remaining bits of anger. I couldn't yell at him anymore over homework. If I lost that edge, how was I going to be able to have success at work? I leaned on that aggressive side. It's all a bit melodramatic.Administrative: (See episode transcript below)Check out the Tools For A Good Life Summit here: Virtually and FOR FREE https://bit.ly/ToolsForAGoodLifeSummitStart podcasting! Mike, I sure do start a lot of episodes this way. And I'm going to encourage any of you fledgling content producers get you're sure. And v 88. Mike. So you can have about the best, high quality sound, the easiest when you walk out your door, I keep seeing how a lot of fledgling content producers are like, it's so hard to find the time to do it. Well, if you get yourself the Shure MV88 mic, and are willing to record when you're driving, or you're walking, or I don't know, when you have alone time, I will get off my soapbox.Mischa Zvegintzov 01:08 This episode, I'm going to talk about the rest of the story with... I was just editing up and putting the episodes on where I was talking about anger. That like subversive, covert anger that can be hiding within us, causing us issues in our lives. So I was going to talk the rest of the story about that. And specifically, the rest of the story in regards to Waylon and the homework. Right, like that was hitting bottom for me with some of that remaining. You know, anger, demand for respect, that kind of stuff where the punishment didn't fit the crime. And I got tired of overreacting at my kids, for seemingly, you know, in hindsight, irrelevant stuff. And and I had said, you know, it was when Waylon was, I had told him, and I remember it clear as a day. I was having the conversation with him yet again. Waylon, I will not overreact. I will help you get your homework done. I won't fight with you. Like, there won't be tears. And one final time. It happened again. I just want a hug. By the way, that was the second or third time that he we had been through that scenario where he was like, just give me a hug, like Stop yelling, stop freaking out effectively. Or, like, I need a hug. You know, I need some love here. And I looking back on that. God bless him for being willing to ask for that. And also, God bless me for being willing in that moment to have that jolt me out of the, you know, the ANGRY DAD mode in regards to homework. and to just like, be like, Yeah, you know what, okay, it's okay. I love you. It's okay. We don't have to fight anymore. That's really what it was right?Mischa Zvegintzov 03:46 Thank God, I can laugh about it now. Thank God, I could laugh about it now. And him too. It's funny, because I was telling him the story. So there's two parts of the rest of the story. First part of the rest of the story. And this is good. And it's really juicy. Hold on one second. I'm going across some traffic. Alright, and survived. Wow. People were coming in hot. No quarter. So you know, I had moved this girlfriend in, we'd bought a house together, actually. And she thought I was wonderful. And I am wonderful. But at the time, she's like, Oh, this man's wonderful, right? So I move her in, we buy this house. And then I start helping Waylon with his homework when we're having family time. And her and her two daughters are around and she sees the dark side of the meesh come out. And she's like, whoa, like, whoa. And I remember that actually. That was that that that time that look of like, of like, she was like, I've never seen this side of you. Right. And usually it didn't come out for a couple of homework, or customer service phone calls, if I had to call the call tree, call the bank or something. And I'm sure it came out other ways as well with towards employees who I had a team at the time, or somewhere around there. But anyway, you get what I'm saying. And I was like, I had the stark awareness that what many people saw of me, on the outside world, that part of me did not match up with what was happening behind closed doors. I felt like, right, like, this woman who loved me, and moved in with me, was surprised when she saw that, which to me meant that if anybody else in the outside world of my relationships, friends would see that, that would be like, Well, wait a minute. Like, there's a dark side there, you know. And, and, yeah, so I was telling the story to somebody today, and I finally for whatever reason had the vulnerability or the memory to be like, oh, yeah, well, the rest of the story is, is this girl moved in with me? And she kind of was like, Oh, shit, right. Like, I've never seen the side of him.Mischa Zvegintzov 06:40 Anyway, I maybe may sound a little bit melodramatic and, and all that. But that was the catalyst for Misha wanting to change, and, like, shed that part of me. And, you know, that was a part of me, that gave me an edge at work. And I needed to let it go. And I was like, Damn, if I lose that edge, that sort of aggressive edge, how am I gonna find success? And as I said that right now, you know, that's what's that's kind of what's happening. I'm on learning how to find success. On the other side of that. sustained financial success. Again, it's a bit melodramatic, but I think you get what I'm saying.Mischa Zvegintzov 07:30 As I'm someone I know, just said hi. As often happens, um, he's like, Hey, Robert Plant, I want your autograph. Because my hair is in full Robert Plant mode right now.Mischa Zvegintzov 07:44 So yeah, I get to bring my new my new awareness, a, and a different motivation into the business world as I'm creating business stuff. Okay. The second point was that I was talking to Whalen, and I was writing out an avatar. Right? We all want to know our perfect customer. So we can visualize that and market to that and who we feel like we can help the best who we want to help. So it's win win for everybody. And I had written down smart, written down smart. I seem to be no judgment here. Like maybe experience is a better word. But whatever smart, I'd written down smart on my perfect person, right smart, along with some other things. And I was showing Waylon, and I'm like, hey, we'll check out the perfect avatar. And he was he was laughing and giggling about it is like, Oh, you have a smart he goes, Yeah, I remember when you used to yell at me. He goes, That makes a lot of sense about the homework, because that was that was not smart. And I was like, Oh my God, it was so funny. The way he related it. He was like, he's like, yeah, man, you would you were frustrated because I couldn't do it at the level that you wanted me to yet. And I was like, oh, yeah, that's a great way to frame it Waylon. I was like son of a gun. You're right. Like, part of my frustration was that we Yeah, was that you weren't grasping it? Like I wanted you to and that. In hindsight, looking back on a lot of my interactions is... I do better when someone's more experienced. How's that? Or smart, whatever. Feel like I'm digging a deep deep hole. May this episode never see the light of day.Mischa Zvegintzov 10:05 Alright that's the soccer families love to all well actually the wrap up so we I told you the rest of the story about my dark realization... the dark day when I realized oh yeah I need to change and have my outside world match up with behind closed doors world. and then the bits about Waylon and smart the smart avatar anyway, I'm done hole is dug deep enough bye.
So I've had the epiphany that telling certain types of stories will attract a certain audience. In this case I'm thinking strictly men or women. So I give it a go and dig into my repertoire of man-centric stories laced with adventure, risk, accidents, and stitches! To test the theory and see if they attract a more male audience. The good news, being a clumsy A type adrenaline junky… I have stacks of them. I offer up just a few recent ones. All right. All right. All right. If you listened to the last episode, you heard my epiphany about telling different style parables to reach different segments of your audience. So I've got an audience of entrepreneurs I'm trying to hit of both men and women. And so far I've been mostly adept at attracting the female audience, I believe, to the type of stories I've been telling. And so on this episode, I'm going to tell my first calculated story, strategic strategically tailored for the man segment of the audience, enjoy.Mischa Zvegintzov 00:49 (Intro)Imagine a conscious contact with God so strong, that no matter what you are doing, or not doing, that, no matter what your kids are up to, or not up to, and that whether you've got the person of your dreams or they're just not cooperating, that you are happy content, and at peace, a space where everyone else's thoughts, attitudes and actions are beautiful, and exactly as they are supposed to be. Well, this is the space where I like to play. My name is Misha Z. And this is today's pitch slap. Join me as I shed light on the thoughts, actions and attitudes that are causing you pain and we train our minds to go to the capital S inner self the joy that is waiting for us that God within. (End Intro)Mischa Zvegintzov 01:41 Alright, so here we go. A man tailor and story to target but the the male segment of my audience. How amazing is this? Thank you Russell Brunson and the universe for this insight. But I had this realization as I was walking today and pulled out my Shure MV88 mic because when inspiration strikes, I like to have the best toys to record. Hint, hint. Get yourself an Shure VM88 mic. So hopefully, loud skateboarders. Okay, I made it past the relatively loud segment of skateboarders. Where was I? A man tale to meet the man segment of the audience. So I had this total awesome realization. I was like, I this is one thing about me. I love adventure. I love trying new things. I'm a process guy. So I love learning the process. And, and if I learn the process, and I'm still interested after that's like a win win, because oftentimes, once I have the process mastered, I get bored, and walk away or not walk away, just go find a new process to master. And so I'm a bit of a, I have been historically a bit of an adrenaline junkie too, and just physically capable enough to really get myself in trouble and acquire scars and stitches. And I realized that as a hit hit 53...Mischa Zvegintzov 03:37 Whoa kids flying by on their bikes, their E bikes that don't care about walking, dads, nor stop signs. Oh my gosh, it's busy intersection. I apologize.Mischa Zvegintzov 03:53 Anyhow. Like, I don't I used to like... the the the the emergency room on Santa Fe Street and Encinitas. Like they know me by name, right. I've been in there more than a few times to get stitches on my arm on my head. Multiple times stitches removed from my cheek one time because I got stitches in frickin in and in Fiji multiple times. They're like, Oh, Misha, what's happening? And this could be surfing, mountain biking. Skiing. I was skiing a few years ago and by the grace of God, I didn't hurt myself. But oftentimes when I ski, especially if there's powder, I have this false sense of security of fluffy really hard to get hurt. And and so I'm skiing This is an Alta Utah, which is skier only and I wish I could remember that face that I was going down because it's a really good one full of shoots... and and I find this the end of day, untracked shoot, it's dumping Alta is amazing too. And so it's just dumping. And I'm like, trying to pick out the line. Keep in mind, I'm 50 years old, right? And I'm not sure if at 50 It's the wisest to be trying to figure out how to learn new shoot line techniques, especially when you're by yourself. That's the other thing I was by myself. And so I'm like, oh, yeah, fly. out, turn here, turn here, hop this rock here. You know, air, air, little air off a cliff. Bam, easy peasy, right? And I visualize it, because that's a great thing to do. Anybody who's in sports knows that visualize your turns, and then it's much easier to execute.Mischa Zvegintzov 06:08 So visualize the line, give it a go. And then basically come too... after egg beater. Anybody who's egg beater in skiing knows what that is. And one of my skis. And thank God, I had the powder, the powder, the powder, cord, you know, so when your ski flies off, and that's a 10 foot florecent and trailer. So you can find the ski because it floats above the powder. And so I'm looking everywhere for my ski and it's like, way down the mountain. And I'm like, Did I break my back? Did I dislocate a knee? Like I had a serious moment of concern of like, "holy crap, I'm lucky I did not. I did not do serious damage." Another time. Mammoth love skiing mammoth. In California so with all this skiing again, last 5 - 10 years, mammoth skiing by myself, again, do a hip check. Beginning of the year, bunch of snow. Do like a little launch hip check. Keep in mind, this is 50 year old man launch hip check. So this is nothing extreme. And like I just miss a big, barely covered log with my hip when I did the hip check. And I had the stark realization of like, "god dammit, there I... there I go again, you know." Just a little bit of a risk taker and pushing the envelope. After promising myself I won't push the envelope yet again,Mischa Zvegintzov 07:51 and... hold on traffic...Mischa Zvegintzov 08:02 So I survived that. So fast forward. The last couple of years, I have not felt the urge to ski. So last year, and coming up on this year, so year and a half a year, really last last fall. And this fall. So the last year and coming into this fall, I'm like yeah, you know, kinda over it. I'm kind of have a hard time not pushing the envelope. I kind of have a hard time just gracefully, shushing and enjoying the moment. Got to push the envelope. Gosh, it sure is interesting that the overpowering urge to ski and have that adventure has been quelled. And I was like, Oh my gosh, it's because the business side of me is just flourishing right now. And sort of that risky adventure learning process is just, it's in full effect. I'm experiencing it, experiencing it just in a creative aspect of, of building, you know, an online business. And it's awesome, right. So I'm getting to learn new processes all over the place. And I also see that there's processes to master but there's plenty of processes waiting in the wings. So that's awesome.Mischa Zvegintzov 09:46 And then, you know, a little bit of risk reward. Like there's so there's some of that intellectual adrenaline happening, you know, financial risk reward, stuff like that. And then it's also serving my need to serve. Like being of service is such a big, big part of my life. My credo. My daily you know, spiritual routine is based on "How can I be of service? What can I bring to the table?" And so currently, all those things are being satisfied right now. It's like no wonder I've, I've got no need to prove myself on the ski slope. To prove myself in the hot yoga room. Right? to push the envelope physically to be the most flexible, stiff 50 year old man. You know, sold the mountain bikes... You know what else even I have an E bike, which I freaking love. Because it's so fast. And you can push the envelope, weave in and out of traffic, and kind of be cool. So letting you into the, to the deeper recesses of what drives me sometimes. Thank you for listening. The need to haul ass on my E bike has been quelled to. I'm like "What's the common denominator denominator here?" Well, one is age. definite maturity. emotional maturity. Definite like no more need to have stitches or the risk reward of having stitches is no longer worth the adrenaline shot of whatever I'm doing? What else was that gonna say? I don't know. I think you get the picture. But there you go. There's my manly leaning story. And I hope all you men enjoy that. And some of you ladies too. And I don't know. I'm done. Practicing trying out my theory, expanding my story repertoire to reach different segments of my audience. peace out.Mischa Zvegintzov 12:26 (Outro) Thank you. Thank you. And right now, I would like to introduce to you Dawson Church, PhD. I'm so excited to have you on board. We just had an amazing moment, a big breath of joy, and hope for this for everybody. But a... Quick, I'm gonna read your bio if that's okay.0:00:28.6 Dawson Church: Go for it. And I hope everyone is breathing with us.0:00:32.2 MZ: Yes. Yes.[laughter]0:00:36.3 MZ: So good. All right. Fantastic. Dawson Church, PhD is an award-winning science writer with three best-selling books to your credit. The Genie in Your Genes was the first book to demonstrate that emotions drive gene expression. You can find that book at www.yourgeniusgene.com. We've got, Mind to Matter, showed that the brain creates much of what we think of as objective reality. You can find that at www.mindtomatter.com, and we've got Bliss Brain, which you can find at www.blissbrain.com, which we'll be discussing in a minute. Very excited for that. Which demonstrates that peak mental states rapidly remodel the brain for happiness. You have conducted dozens of clinical trials and founded the National Institute for Integrative Healthcare, niih.org, to promote groundbreaking new treatments. Its largest program, the Veterans Stress Project, has offered free treatment to over 20,000 veterans with PTSD over the last decade. Thank you so much for that. And you share how to apply these health and performance breakthroughs through EFT Universe at eftuniverse.com. One of the largest alternative medicine sites on the web. Welcome, Dawson Church.0:02:09.8 DC: I'm having fun doing it all, Mischa.0:02:12.1 MZ: I'm having fun doing it all.[laughter]0:02:13.8 MZ: I love it. That is so... Yes, so good and so powerful. I just watch... I'm looking over here 'cause I have another screen but watching some of your content and just your joy and your enthusiasm and your passion for life. It is infectious. And I have a note here, "learned." We can learn this, learned happiness.0:02:38.7 DC: Learned happiness. Absolutely. And it's like, use it or lose it and the neural circuits that we use the most, the habits and behaviors through which we send signals through our brain, those things are what grow and circuits we don't use shrink. So absolutely, we can learn these things as we practice them. Our bodies, our brains are literally changing with every thought in our minds and consciousness.0:03:03.9 MZ: Yes. Which I think is so hopeful. If we are willing to just take a little bit of positive action, the results can be massive. Before we get to that, however, I wanted to discuss... I wrote down some notes. You were asked to speak before Congress a couple of times, correct?0:03:25.4 DC: Yes.0:03:26.1 MZ: And did you actually do... Go ahead, tell me.0:03:29.1 DC: Well, it was exciting because I've been to Washington DC several times. And when I began to get reports back from therapists working with veterans coming back from Iraq and Afghanistan, and they said, "We're working with these veterans spending just a few sessions, five, 10 sessions with them. And they're recovering from flashbacks, nightmares, PTSD." I was like... I was pretty skeptical because that's a big claim. And the American Psychiatric Association had just commissioned a survey which showed that basically PTSD just gets worse over time. Maybe you can manage it with drugs. That's the best you can do. So I heard these accounts, then we had to actually put some numbers to them and do some pilot research on the methods these therapists were using. And it was true that veterans really were recovering really quickly using these advanced psychotherapeutic methods. And so we eventually got that work in front of several Senators and Congress members.0:04:25.7 DC: We then were able to advocate for them in Congress. And then, I was invited to testify before the House Armed Services Committee and the Senate Veterans Affairs Committee. And those are powerful moments to sit there in this room full of Members of Congress and share about the potential of these methods and then really see if we can get these to veterans who are suffering. And that was a really profound experience. And what I found is that we have these tools now in our hands, in our toolboxes. And it's true that we really can shift most cases of PTSD. About nine out of 10 is what research shows us most cases of anxiety and depression. And after six, seven, eight sessions, these veterans just leave their therapy sessions, and they're free of flashbacks and nightmares, intrusive thoughts, all of the other things that would have otherwise have bothered them the rest of their lives. So, it's amazing to watch that happen.0:05:21.3 MZ: Yeah, that's incredible, I think. Well, two things, one, the palpable experience of the energy in front of when you're testifying, I guess testifying sounds aggressive, but when you're having an opportunity to speak to the... What did you call it? The joint say it again. The Joint Commissioner, what...0:05:45.8 DC: Yeah, the Veterans Affairs Committee and the Armed Services Committee.0:05:48.7 MZ: Yes. Yeah, yeah, yeah. So did you feel a palpable energy shift of awareness with these Senators and things? I'm looking for some visceral experience there.0:06:01.5 DC: You know, it's really interesting question, Mischa. And one of the things that I found interesting was that what made the most impact on the Members of Congress was the stories of veterans themselves. Like we had one Vietnam veteran, and he said he was due to have six sessions. After the first session, he emailed his therapist and said, "After that very first session with you, I got my first full night's sleep since Vietnam, 35 years earlier." And so, the members of Congress would hear from veterans.0:06:37.2 DC: Another veteran was a young veteran. He'd done four tours in Iraq. And he had this terrible PTSD, nightmares, and flashbacks. Because one of the first things he had to do when he got there... Almost immediately, he arrived in Iraq as a medic, one of his best friends was killed. And one of his jobs is he had to prepare the uniform of his dead friend to send back to the family in the US with all the other personal effects. And so this young man was so traumatized, remembering, having to clean the blood and body fluids off the uniform. And it also smelled really bad because it'd been sitting in the Iraqi sun for a few days. And he literally had to run outside the hut, take a deep breath of air, run back inside, do a little bit of cleaning, run back outside just to breathe. 'Cause, it smelled so bad in there. So here he was. His emotions were 10 out of 10 as he recalled that event. After we worked with him in just one session, he was at a zero. He had no more emotion around it. He had only positive feelings. He said, "You know that, I realize now that was an act of love. And I felt now the love that I was giving his family and him by that act of service."0:07:47.6 DC: And so it shifted in his mind. So when you've seen, as you mentioned, over 20,000 veterans have this experience and a randomized controlled trial shows that these effects are true for most people, it just affects you profoundly. And that's what we thought made the biggest impact on those Senators, and Congress Members was that when they heard stories by real people, it was even more impactful than the research numbers data.0:08:13.3 MZ: Thank you so much for sharing that. I mean, I love that. I... Obviously circumstance to get there, not so excited about. But the result and the service aspect of that too. So for yourself...0:08:26.8 DC: Yeah, we all have stuff leftover from our past Mischa, we all have stuff leftover from our past, like childhood, really experiences that will otherwise stay with us. And so when you see people shed these past burdens of trauma and then claim the lives they can live, it's just powerful.0:08:44.1 MZ: It's amazing. I was gonna ask. I imagined seeing that again and again, and to be a part of that and to be able to be a part of that and help grow that is just gotta be insanely gratifying.0:09:00.2 DC: They call it a job.[laughter]0:09:03.7 MZ: Oh my gosh.[chuckle]0:09:06.2 DC: It's not hard work. It's wonderful.0:09:08.4 MZ: Thank you.0:09:08.4 DC: It also really works for you because when you're helping people heal like that, we call it... There's a term for it. We call it "borrowing benefits." And you literally, as you work with other people, seeing them heal, it heals you as well.0:09:20.0 MZ: That's beautiful. And then I think, I am... As I was digging and looking, and I'm like the amount of hours that you have put into this. And I say that in a good way, just in a massive way. I wrote down, "How many hours do you think you've put into this?"0:09:41.6 DC: No, it's a bad way, Mischa. When I was 15 years old, when I was a teenager, I was so depressed, I was so anxious. I had all the symptoms of PTSD myself; flashbacks, intrusive thoughts, hyper-vigilance. And so, I just fled into a spiritual community when I was 15 to try and get over my own inner demons. And I then spent... What I write about in... There's a section of my book, Bliss Brain. It's called "From 50 Years to 50 Seconds." And it took me 50 years to figure out how the brain works, how the neurochemistry of all this works. How our genes are being affected epigenetically by these positive and negative experiences, how we can use these methods for healing.0:10:26.2 DC: And then what I've been doing for the last few years is hooking people up to EEGs. And so we literally read their brain information processing ability and how their brains are running information, especially when they think about trauma or think about bad events in their lives. And we found that now within four minutes or so, we can bring people from that intense emotionally triggered state back down to deep peace, inner calm. And we had one lady in our seven-day retreat. By the end of the seven days of practicing these methods, she was down to 47 seconds between sitting down, closing her eyes, entering that state. And in 47 seconds, under 50 seconds, she was having a full-blown mystical, elevated what we call the awakened mind, Bliss Brain experience. So we now have figured out, with the aid of neuroscience, how to train people into doing this, not 50 years like me, but 50 seconds. [chuckle] 50 seconds or less.[chuckle]0:11:30.8 MZ: You know what? Thank you for taking the pain, Dawson.[laughter]0:11:35.9 DC: Don't do what I do... Did. Go to an ashram and sit there for 10 years, trying to control your breathing and your thoughts. It won't work.[chuckle]0:11:43.6 MZ: It's so good. I don't wanna give away the ghost here, and we're gonna get to this in a second. But I took a couple of notes, some other notes, and one was, "Remodel your brain in as little as eight weeks," but... Or no buts, but... And then this other part, "It's important to turn those temporary states into long term enduring traits." Turn a state into a trait. And when I came across where you said that, I was like, "That is awesome." And so we can... Let me... Go ahead. You can say something to that if you want. But...0:12:26.0 DC: Yeah, that really is the goal here on meditation, of EFT acupressure tapping, of the various other techniques I advocate in my books. And what you wanna do is not have a temporary state of wellbeing. 'Cause it feels good to feel good, and it feels good to be happy. It feels good to be content and have inner peace. But it's a state, and it'll pass. And then you hear some bad news. You stub your leg on a piece of furniture. You have a financial reverse. And suddenly you lose your state. And so those states are nice, but they're just transient. What you wanna do is fire those neurons repeatedly over and over and over again. And then as your neural bundles get bigger and thicker, and research shows that in just one hour of repeat stimulation, that the number of synaptic connections in a neural bundle can double. So, you can double the number of connections in a neural bundle in an hour. So now you're turning the software of a state into the hardware of a trait. And then you are not just feeling happy, sometimes, you are a happy person. You aren't just feeling creative, sometimes, you are a creative person. So you've now got the trait of creativity, the trait of resilience, the trait of joy, and then no one could take that away from you because it's hard-wired into your brain.0:13:48.6 MZ: Love that. That's a vision of hope. That is so good. Thank you for that. Alright, let's get to the good, good stuff. I'm gonna pose a scenario to you and then ask you a question. Okay? Fantastic. So, given this scenario, think of life as a three-legged stool of relationships, finances, and health. And now think of someone who is or was successful and who has had two of those legs fall out from under them. This could be a combination of divorce, career upheaval, financial stress, kids acting out, or not going the direction that the parents want. It could be physical health challenges for themselves or a loved one. Maybe a death in the family and continued failed relationships. For me, it was divorce. My kids started to veer a little bit, I felt. Like career upheaval. And then both my parents died in rapid succession. It really shook some foundations that I had. And to top it off, my "pull myself up from my bootstraps" mentality, that "fix it or push my way through it," was no longer working. I needed some new tools. And by the grace of God, I was open to some new tools. So, this is my question to you. Thinking of your Bliss Brain work and your book, what are the exact next steps you would offer this person, so they know they are headed in the new right direction, that they will have positive momentum towards getting their life back on track.0:15:38.9 DC: This is gonna sound really counterintuitive and odd. [chuckle] But it starts with self-acceptance. And self-love and accepting yourself just the way you are. And if circumstances; the way they are. And research into healing shows that acceptance is where you have to start. Like... I'm trying to think of a good example to use here. There are a whole bunch of them, they are crowding together in my brain, to mention. But when you have multiple challenges like that, just breathing and remaining centered and accepting and loving yourself is the first thing. In your loss, in your confusion, in your difficulty, and it's hard to be in that state, and yet, if you're trying to get out of it, if you're trying to... Now, you said, "pushing my way through." That works up to a point until it doesn't. [chuckle] So the first thing is just love and compassion. Just self-love, self-compassion.0:16:38.0 DC: The phrase we use in EFT acupressure tapping is, "Even though I have this problem, I deeply and completely love and accept myself." And that's really reassuring to you when you hear that when we're working, say, with a man who is 200 pounds overweight. Now, the last thing he wants to accept is being 200 pounds overweight. And yet, if we can train him to love and accept himself in that state, that unlocks all of the tension in the psyche between the part of yourself that's the inner coach, inner critique, inner CEO saying, "You should lose weight, you should quit smoking, you shouldn't drink so much, you should eat healthy, you should take more vacations, you should just save more money, blah, blah, blah, bloody blah." It's just yelling at us all the time, and that top-dog coercive inner voice is just keeping the energy pattern of what we've got going on, stuck and in place. And the moment you relax and say, "You know, I just accept myself the way I am."0:17:40.5 DC: We did an MRI study, some colleagues made an MRI study of obese women. Women who are overweight. When they put them in the MRI and showed them images of chocolate cake, and strawberry pie, and vanilla ice cream, and all these things, their mid-brains, their limbic system, the emotional part of the brain, was totally lit up. In other words, they weren't seeing food as food or nutrients. They were seeing food as a highly emotional event. After those five or six sessions of these simple therapies, we put them back in the MRI. They were getting exposed to all those emotive images, and they had no response at all. In fact, the guy running the MRI, the neuroscientist, said to my colleague, "What have you done to these women that they just have no emotional response to food anymore?"0:18:31.2 DC: So again, now they don't have that huge emotional response, and they love and accept themselves the way they are. Then all of the energy that's trapped in that top dog-underdog kind of struggle, "You should fix yourself, you should improve, you should be better." And underdog saying, "Oh yes, I will, top dog, I will improve, I will quit smoking, blah, blah, blah." And then underdog runs out behind the shed when top dog's back is turned and smokes the cigarette. And so, all of the tension behind these weird psychological struggles is just removed when you love and accept yourself. So love and acceptance is the first step. So that's number one. Accepting where you are, and admitting it, and acknowledging it just as a fact, and then you look at what you can do to shift and then you practice it.0:19:20.6 MZ: Now I can't over-stress the value of practice. What I try and do in my own work, so I try to get people addicted. So I wanna get them addicted to their own dopamine, serotonin, anandamide, oxytocin, nitric oxide all these wonderful neuro chemicals that happen in your brain spontaneously when you meditate and when you do that, people have a habit of meditating, so if I can get people hooked one time on high serotonin, high dopamine then they'll stay hooked and they'll keep on meditating so I can't over-stress the importance of getting yourself addicted to the right stuff to meditation, and then day after day, you meditate, and within a month, our MRI research shows your brain patterns are already changing. Your brain, the way your brain processes information is already shifting, and then you start to turn those temporary states into traits. And that's the value of practice. It doesn't take long. In one MRI study, it took just 30 days of practice 20 minutes a day, and people's brains were processing information totally differently.0:20:33.1 MZ: That's amazing. Can I ask you, what I wanna ask you and I look at... And I was checking out your Bliss Brain book and such. You say you teach seven simple steps. Is this part of that? Is this literally part of what we're talking about right here?0:20:49.8 DC: Yeah. That technique is called Eco-meditation. E-C-O meditation and is just a seven-step process, we do the acupressure, we do mindful breathing, we do a little bit of self-hypnosis, we do heart coherence, and we do neuro-feedback all in a certain order, and there's seven of these things we practice... And when you do that, suddenly you just, your brain flips into ecstasy with its elevated emotional state, no 10,000 hours, no spiritual master, no special training, no spiritual belief required. You can be an atheist. [laughter] You can be Jewish, you can be episcopalian you can be anything and it's just gonna work, it's a mechanical neurological event you're triggering in your body and you feel great.0:21:35.5 MZ: Okay, fantastic, fantastic. I didn't mean... Alright, I was just curious. So we'll go back to the self-acceptance, what you can do to shift, so that would be like in this particular case, it sounds like meditation would be a specific tool you're talking about, but it could be many different things for somebody.0:21:56.3 DC: In my earlier book, Mind Matter, I list about 30 things you can do, there's grounding, there's time in nature, social support, but two I recommend though that are fundamental and easy, one Mischa is that style meditation that puts you in those elevated emotional states and doing it first thing in the morning. That's a number one, and that's I think should be universal, just the benefits. One of my doctor friends said, "If meditation were a drug, it would be medical malpractice to fail to prescribe it." [laughter] So it's just the foundation as a frame for a good life. So you wanna do it in the morning, doesn't have to be an hour or two hours, half an hour is plenty. And then if you use a guided meditation that'll guide you into that elevated state. And then the second thing I recommend as having everyone should have this in their Personal Growth Tool Kit is EFT acupressure tapping, that's just somebody tapping on a series of 13 acupressure points.0:23:03.4 DC: It regulates the body's energy, that's what helped those women get over their emotional attachment and projection to food. So you wanna get over your high cortisol, you wanna get over your stress and EFT within two minutes, it'll just crash your cortisol, crash your adrenalin, your level of all of these stress neurotransmitters and hormones will go way, way, way down. And then all kinds of beneficial things increase including immunity and cell repair, all kinds of good things go up when those molecules become available to your body for building healthy cells. So those are the two things I think that are great, then layer in time in nature and layer in a spiritual practice, layer in... There's a wonderful medieval term called lectio divina reading inspirational material, fill your mind with this stuff, don't fill your mind with all the crap in the mass media and whatever you do, don't turn on your phone and start looking at it first thing in the morning when you wake up because you're gonna get then stuck in the lateral level of everything going on in the world, which is not in your best interest, instead, orient yourself meditation to what I call in my books, non-local mind and non-local reality in meditation, and then you can deal with the world through the framing of being one with the universe.0:24:20.3 DC: But that's the order to do it in. Hook up to the universe, then deal with the outside world, don't open your eyes and look at your phone and get sucked into the outside world and then try and meditate because you've blown it at that point, and it's hard to get back to that good space.0:24:35.0 MZ: Too little too late.0:24:36.6 DC: Oh, yes.0:24:37.6 MZ: Yes. I love meditation myself. I have had a committed practice for a while, and so I think it's so, so powerful, and I think oftentimes the results are evident later, or I'll notice too, just getting that nice breathing going even with the monkey mind, it's almost like the monkey mind is irrelevant, but...0:25:03.6 DC: It is.0:25:03.7 MZ: Yeah. Just carrying that nice breath, that connection to the universe you're talking about through the day is... Before you look at the phone is so good. Thank you for that.0:25:15.5 DC: And you're right about the monkey mind being irrelevant because we can't still our minds, we can't quiet our minds, our brains were meant to be highly active and highly involved with everything around us, think about... I was just thinking about just the ancestors, and I was going down a path in the forest near me a couple of days ago, and there was a stick lying in the path, and I thought, "You know my ancestors 100,000 years ago, when they see us that long brown skinny thing lying on the path. It might be a snake." So the optimist says, "Oh no, it's a stick. It's fine." And 99 times out of a 100, 100,000 years ago, it was a stick and nothing bad happened. The pessimist is seeing every stick and saying, "It's a snake. It's gonna bite me."0:26:00.2 MZ: Yes.0:26:00.8 DC: And so the pessimist is... The one time it is a snake, the pessimist says, "You see? It was a snake. It didn't bite me because I was so paranoid and suspicious, and now I'm safe." The optimist, unfortunately, at one time in a 100 gets bitten and dies. So he gets weeded from the gene pool, and only the pessimist lives to perpetuate his genes to the next generation. Multiply this by 10,000 generations and you have you, Mischa and me Dawson. And we are capable of the monkey mind like you wouldn't believe. Always looking around for the baddest stuff in our environment. We've just been bred that way for tens and of thousands of generations. And now we sit there and close our eyes and try and be happy? [laughter] Isn't gonna happen. [laughter]0:26:45.7 MZ: Oh, my God. That's amazing. Okay, so then you said... What can we do to shift? You have, in your book, one of your books, which you referenced, you've got 30 great tools, but start with the some sort of meditation and some EFT style of tapping in and then layer in more as time goes by. And then practice, so practice, practice. Find some consistency, yes?0:27:18.9 DC: Build those neural bundles, turn those states to traits, and that's what consistency will do. So then when one or more of the legs of your stool is gone, you're still totally serene, have total inner peace, and you have something that outside tragedy can't take away. You've now built the neural wiring or resilience in your brain, and that's just who you are. So when the pandemic strikes, when the economic crash happens, when you get divorced, when your kids are acting out, you are this highly resilient person. The research that I cover in both Bliss Brain and Mind to Matter shows that not only are you that person during meditation. Research by a wonderful neuro-scientist called Teresa Amabile at Harvard shows you reach that state mentally for that 30 minutes or so in the morning... Meditation, flow states, they then perpetuate themselves for 48 hours of increased productivity, creativity and problem solving ability.0:28:22.9 DC: And in one US government study, they showed that people in those states have five times the ability to solve complex problems. So now, even if you have had two of the three supports, legs knocked off out from under your stool, you have five times the ability to solve complex problems. You are gonna can put your stool back together again far quicker than somebody who doesn't have those. And in fact, there is this whole field, I talk about in Bliss Brain called post-traumatic growth. Not only do you wind up okay, you wind up better. You've actually used disaster as a springboard for personal transformation, so that's the potential of that practice.0:29:05.0 MZ: Yeah, fantastic. I love that. So many cool thoughts just were going through my brain as you were talking about that. And now they've all escaped me, but they will come back to me in a second, I'm sure. So after practice, was there anything else or were you... I don't mean to cut you off with the sort of the steps.0:29:31.5 DC: Yeah. So self-love, practice, at least, meditation and learn tapping, 'cause tapping takes you all of two minutes to learn. Takes you all of 30 seconds to do, and then you quickly are gonna regulate your emotions. And I cover in Bliss Brain, there are four circuits to the brain that start to change. Now, this is the absolute miracle of neuroplasticity. 20 years ago, we had no idea the brain was remodeling itself that way, but I have case studies in Bliss Brain showing that if you practice in this way, the emotion regulation network in your brain, the little hub that governs emotional network, emotional regulation in your brain, grows by, get this, 10% a month. So in three months, that part of the brain can be 30% larger. So now you can regulate your irritation, your annoyance, your resentment, your negative emotion, and that opens the door to a much happier life. So that's why in Bliss Brain I say there are four networks to develop, but develop emotion regulation first.0:30:43.7 DC: The next network is the one that controls the self, and so we have these elaborate stories about who we are. "I was born at such and such a time. This is my biography. This is what my job is like, my life is like, my money is like." That's all the self, and unfortunately, that is the part of the brain that draws us into suffering. That's called the default mode network. Our brain defaults to that suffering network automatically when we aren't engaged in a task. And so we need to dial that part of the brain down. Tibetan monks, with 10,000 hours of meditation practice, they can dial down the default mode network. Literally, they close their eyes, and in a second they shut it down. You and I, maybe five minutes if we are able to practice. So you wanna shut down the self-absorbed chatter.0:31:32.6 MZ: On a good day. Yes...0:31:33.5 DC: About your life that we're all doing, the monkey mind, and the self-critical part of the brain, especially. So that's the next thing you wanna develop. You wanna develop compassion and feel compassion for other people. Not just be thinking about yourself but loving other people, loving everything the way it is, loving every... It will actually guide you to loving every atom in the universe. So we develop developed these networks, the empathy network, and then the attention network. We learn to... It's part of the brain, called the orbital prefrontal cortex. We develop that part of the brain, so it grows, becomes better at firing, and then we can pay attention to what's important and we can screen out irrelevant information. Our work productivity goes through the roof, we're far more productive at work, we're far better at solving problems. Our creativity at least doubles with these methods in a very short order. So the benefits to your regular life are immense.0:32:29.9 MZ: That's amazing. And one of the thoughts that I had, which I love, and you're just verifying with data, with research, is this idea that I don't have time. I don't have time, right? And if we take the time, it will make us that much more efficient, that much more productivity... Or more productive. And it sounds like that... And I would verify this for myself, but maybe you can validate it for me. Time taken for the meditation, the simple practices, the rewards far... The productivity rewards, happiness rewards, time rewards, efficiency rewards far outweigh the limited amount of time we need to put in to achieve those results.0:33:24.3 DC: Some people say, "I don't have time to meditate." My retort is, "You don't have time not to meditate." In one study done by a huge consulting firm called McKinsey, they found that executives who are already high performers and are entering these flow states via meditation, their productivity goes up five-fold. So you get done now in one day what used to take you five. Now, those are the peak performers. And we're now measuring this in ordinary people. We're measuring how much productivity goes up. But even if it goes up 20%, that's like an extra day a week you have available to you. And you won't be using that week to do email and that extra day of the week to work. You'll be using it to go play, be creative and have fun. So it changes your whole life game plan to have that huge increase in productivity.0:34:16.0 MZ: Perfect. Before... I wanna do one thing, if you would, for me really quick. You were talking about in the Bliss Brain book; there's the four neural networks that you're effecting change in, correct?0:34:26.6 DC: Yes.0:34:26.9 MZ: I think that's what you said. And so the first one was...0:34:29.8 DC: Emotion regulation.0:34:31.3 MZ: Say it again?0:34:32.8 DC: Emotion regulation.0:34:33.8 MZ: Emotion regulation. And so that would be, for example, the meditation, the stuff like that, right?0:34:39.0 DC: Yes.0:34:39.2 MZ: And then the second one was...0:34:43.4 DC: There's also the attention network.0:34:47.7 MZ: Intent... So, what would be a...0:34:47.8 DC: The empathy network and the...0:34:48.1 MZ: Oh, go ahead.0:34:48.5 DC: So yeah, the attention network, empathy network, and the self-centeredness suppression network. There's a part... Parts of the brain that take that self-absorbed mental chatter and switch off that project.0:35:02.0 MZ: Perfect. Okay. For the second one, could you give a simple tip or tool to help with that, to give someone a vision, so the... I can't read my own writing. [chuckle]0:35:17.5 DC: For the attention network, for example...0:35:21.2 MZ: Yes.0:35:21.5 DC: That's why a guided meditation is so useful.0:35:24.7 MZ: Okay.0:35:24.9 DC: There's dozens of guided meditations free on the web. Both at ecomeditation.com and also Insight Timer has them. A bunch of websites have my meditations for free. Blissbrain.com has them. Mind to Matter has unique ones for manifestation. And so these guided meditations give your attention network a voice, some music to focus on. That's good for you for maybe six months, maybe two or three years. At that point, you wanna graduate from that, and you'll be doing meditations yourself. You'll be able to focus your attention without the words. But for novices, it's really hard to do. You need something to focus on, like that voice and that music, so that's a second...0:36:06.0 MZ: I love it. Fantastic! And why not take advantage of those tools? Especially, since a ton of them are out there for free. Right?0:36:14.6 DC: Yep. Yep.0:36:14.6 MZ: Okay, so the empathy network, what... Tell me a tip, trick, tool for that. Is that more meditation, or is that... Is that basically... And what I'm hearing you say is that meditation is gonna fire all four of those. [chuckle]0:36:29.3 DC: Yes. It will. So empathy, like the guided meditations, we have you focus on a source of unconditional love. A person or being with whom you feel that some sort of connection. And when you do that, that activates a part of the brain called the insula, which has to do with pro-social emotions. So empathy, altruism, love, gratitude, all of those things are activated. And all of those are part of what the insula runs. And so, when you activate the insula, all of these pro-social emotions kick in, and then you can feel this immense compassion. Your heart rate slows down then, your heart rhythm becomes very regular. All kinds of good things happen in your body. So you deliberately activate the insula during the compassion part of EcoMeditation.0:37:19.1 MZ: Fantastic, thank you. And then the self-centeredness.0:37:24.7 DC: Yeah. And so in Chapter 1 and Chapter 7, beginning at the end of my book, Mind to Matter, I talk about local reality and non-local mind. And we all have to navigate local reality. I have to keep my car tuned up, and I have to keep my mortgage and rent paid, and I have to take care of my children, and I have a whole local reality I have to attend to. And then, what meditation allows you to do is step into non-local reality. And so when I sit there in the morning and meditate, I find myself being drawn up into this whole other world of just pure being. And then you're merging with non-local love, non-local information fields. And when you then end meditation and move back into your work world, you're drawing down all of the information into your local reality. That's what makes it so productive. Like, Albert Einstein said that that's the way all great scientific discoveries are made by people in altered states of consciousness where they're in tune with these global reality fields. And he'd been trying to figure out the theory of relativity for a long time. And then, one night, he fell asleep. He was really depressed and frustrated at the time. He just was... It was like beating his head against the wall. And he just saw the whole theory of relativity in a dream, in his vision. And then woke up in the morning and then spent four years working out of mathematics bit.[chuckle]0:38:52.9 MZ: That is amazing. Dawson, this has been amazing. Everybody who's watching and listening. If this interview with Dawson has been fantastic and you want to get even more content from Dawson, upgrade to the All-Access Pass for the bonus interview, which we're gonna be doing right after this. And I've got great questions there, and Dawson's obviously amazing so you won't wanna miss it. So be sure to upgrade to the All-Access Pass for that. And then any final thoughts to share that we did not get a chance to cover, Dawson?0:39:28.2 DC: Lots. [chuckle] We can't covered them all now. I would encourage you to just fill your life with everything that you can to support yourself. So it's meditation in the morning. Again, first thing in the morning, before you get involved in the outside local reality of your life, tapping to bring you back to that baseline during the day only takes a minute or two to tap, and then you feel better right away. And then nurture yourself with great friendships, people who support and love you. Nurture yourself with great media, just read books, read my books, read other people's books, there's so much information out there. Some free information out there, or even the cost of a book now 10, $20, it's amazing how much you can get. And then you start to fill your mind, inner reality with all of this. And when you filled your inner reality with such good inputs, the good outputs just appear all around you in friendships, in money insights, in well-being, in massive epigenetic shift in your cells.0:40:27.6 DC: So just doing all those things to truly love, nurture yourself and create a good life for yourself. You can create a good life for yourself. Research shows that you can be dramatically happier than you are today. In some of these MRI studies, we've seen these monks and they close their eyes, meditate, and their waves, the brainwaves of happiness go up 700% over baseline. So the bottom line is you can be like seven times as happy as you could even imagine. What neuroscience is doing meditation said to me, "Dawson. I thought it was a 10 out of 10 happiness before, but now I'm like a 15. I'm having like transcended happiness." And that is what anyone can learn to cultivate in their own brains.0:41:11.6 MZ: It's amazing, Dawson. This has been amazing, and anybody can go to blissbrain.com and download that ebook for free, I believe. Correct?0:41:23.9 DC: Yeah.0:41:24.8 MZ: Yeah. So absolutely everybody should go do that. No matter what, you've just reinforced as well in me that the choice is mine. Like more happiness is there for me if I choose to go grab it. And that's outside of the shiny object so thank you for that. And then there was another thought, but it's fleeting and gone, but thank you so much. I'm gonna hit stop here and then we'll come back in a minute for round two.[music]

Service is the new sales. For the longest time, I had a total mental block on sales. I said "I'm not good at sales," and "I hate sales." Then I had a breakthrough recently. I started to ask myself, "How can I serve at the highest and best level for my customers," and everything changed for me. It's Friday....... Lets talk about frameworks. With Frameworks you have to learn how to build a persona. Building a persona is a framework, meaning that it's one of the things that you can consistently go to time after time and it's going to give you fruit. It will always bear fruit. One of the benefits of building a persona is that it gives you so much juicy information right out of the gate. In other words, you're going to have to do your Google work, which is something you're going to have to get good at anyways. You'll want to start to understand all the things there is to know about your target and who this person is. As you start to pull in all of this information, You're building out a persona. But by the time you have finished this, you actually have a really good tangible idea of who this person is. In a very real way, you should give them a name, right? Like who is this person? What do they care about? What are they working on every day? What do they get frustrated with? Where are they going to learn more? Now all of these things start to come together. My offer to you for today, I am going to give you my 10 favorite personas. There's no catch whatsoever. The rest of the story… On this special 2 part episode Russell recaps and summarizes what happened at Funnel Hacking Live. He also reflects on how he felt about different aspects and speakers at the event. Here are some of the cool things you will hear in this 2 part episode: An overview of the schedule during the 3 day event, who spoke, and what they spoke about. How Russell felt about certain speakers and what he thinks went right with his own presentations, and what mistakes he feels he made. What the best part of the event was for Russell (hint – It involves his lovely wife). And what Russell plans on doing differently at next year's Funnel Hacking Live. So listen below for the conclusion of Russell's thoughts and feelings about Funnel Hacking Live 2017. ---Transcript--- Day number two now, Devon got on stage he intro to government estate. Then we came up and did a section on follow-up funnels. Which was Todd and Dylan and Ryan and me and we talked about how email funnels are from 1998 and the future is follow up funnels. And we did a presentation and during the presentation we ripped our shirts off and we had these shirts. I'm actually wearing the shirt today. It says, “We are not confusion soft, we're Clickfunnels” and then we challenged everybody to go all in and be all in, in Clickfunnels. And we gave them these t-shirts and temporary tattoos and a whole bunch of stuff for anyone who went all in. Basically they had to open up their phone and go to imallin.com and if you're not all in it had Macauley Culkin slapping his face saying, “ahh, you're not in.” and there was a big button where you could upgrade. And if you were all in, it showed you were all in and basically you'd run to the back of the room, show them the funnel and then we'd give you a huge packet of swag, which was cool. So if any of you guys are listening to this. Don't do that right now. We're updating it to make it work online, I think by next week. Actually my birthday, March 8th. So on my birthday we're going to be doing that presentation live to Facebook Live and it'll be live so you can all go all in and get the same swag shipped out to you, which will be fun. But it was cool to show people what's possible in Actionetics. Most people don't know, they assume it's an email auto-responder, and that's like saying that Clickfunnels builds websites. Come on now, that's 1998. I had a slide, I wanted to use Urkel, Steve urkel in my slides, and I was able to use him twice. I was like, “You know what else was cool in 1998, Steve Urkel. Actually no, Steve Urkel's show was cancelled in 1998. So even in 98 Urkel wasn't cool anymore. But that's what you're using if you're doing email funnels. We're talking about follow-up funnels and all the stuff that's possible.” So we showed people what's possible in Actionetics, and most people didn't even know. And everyone is shifting everything over to Clickfunnels, which is the goal. We want everybody all in, I want you all in. So that was what Follow-up Funnels is about. It was probably the coolest presentation. So much energy, it was awesome. Then we had a break after that. And then Justin and Tara Williams came on and did a whole section on podcast funnels, which was awesome. They told their story, which was cool. And basically showed how these three podcasts they had done, how these three podcasts had each launched three entire businesses for them and it was just cool to see. Anyway, that part was awesome. So podcast funnels, Justin and Tara were amazing. They killed it. After that we had Emily Shay come up and she is 11 years old and she stood up there on a huge stage where most people would be so scared and so intimidated and she crushed it. She was so awesome. She had about 15 or 20 minutes up there and she told her story and did it in a really fun way that tied it to the audience. She's just a superstar. Some people would say the youth speakers were the best one's of the whole thing, and I was like, “Yes.” So Emily crushed it. Caleb Maddix came on, I talked about him yesterday on the podcast. He came on and just did an amazing job as well. And it was just so cool to see Emily and Caleb, two young entrepreneurs who were able to stand in front of a room and control the audience like that. For me, it took me honestly, it took me ten plus years to get a spot that they were in already and it was just so cool to see them. They're the future. So exciting, so they both crushed it and did such an amazing job. Then we had a lunch break. Again, the annoying thing where our stomachs were hungry and we had to go eat. So everyone went to lunch. We came back and Trey Lewellen stood up on stage and Trey is really, Trey spoke at the very first Funnel Hacking Event and he did a great job then. But it's fun seeing him transition, him owning the stage now, he just, he did awesome. He went into deep funnelytics, like here's the metrics you've got to figure out to make your funnels works. And he showed this stuff where it's just like, well I didn't understand that. Most people who set up a funnel that doesn't make a million bucks day one they're like, “This didn't work.” No, you gotta understand the math behind it. And Trey showed how he's built these huge companies. 20-30 million dollar companies off of a funnel that was not profitable upfront. But when you understand the funnelytics, the math behind the funnels, how it worked. It was so cool for him to document and show it all off, it was just amazing. Then from there, we're only halfway through, it just keeps getting, the whole thing was amazing. Then Jason Fladlien, who is someone I've learned, in fact in the Expert Secrets book, I dedicated a lot to him as well. Because there's so much I learned from him about breaking belief patterns and rebuilding and reframing and he's just brilliant. He got on stage and talked about Amazon Funnels. And even though a lot of people know him as the guy who's the best in the world at selling from webinars, he happens to also be good at Amazon as well. So he showed 7 different Amazon funnels that he uses in his company and then he gave everybody at the event. “Here's the Amazon funnels, there's 7 of them. You guys can knock them off and use them in your business.” Which was so cool. So if you're using any Amazon or ecommerce stuff, Jason's stuff was amazing. From there Darrin Stevens got on stage. A lot of you guys probably don't know Darrin Stevens but he is a legend. He was one of the, he did the marketing behind Men are From Mars, Women are From Venus. Brilliant book launch and stuff like that. But he also runs events. He does these events that have 80 people in the room who make 2-3million dollars in a weekend, for a room of less than 100 people. And it's all about how he structures his events and event funnels. So he walked us through the whole process and he had 18 or 19 things that he does at events to build rapport and get people buying. If I was able to close what Darrin does, again he did what did I say, 2.5 million dollars from 80 people. I would have done like 60 million dollars from this event, but I didn't so Darrin is still the king. He's amazing. So he shared event funnel stuff, which was awesome. Then we had another break, then Setema got on stage, and Setema is the Super Bowl winner who had to sell his ring because after he won the Super Bowl his life kind of fell apart and talks about how you win again. How do you get that stuff back? How do you implement all the stuff you've learned? It was amazing. He's nicknamed himself the reverend of the revolution. I feel like he was the reverend preaching to us about how to take this stuff and have success with imperfect action and just going through and doing it. It was so cool, Setema is the man. That was awesome. After that we came onstage and we awarded the Two Comma Club awards, which was amazing. We had, I think right now, we have over 100 people who have qualified for the Two Comma Club. Which means they have a funnel that made at least a million dollars. 100 people! So we gave away I think 80 something Two Comma Club trophy's. These huge trophy's with a gold record on it with two commas etched into it. It was cool for everyone else to see that and be like, “Wow, these are my peers. And they're all making a million dollars in a funnel.” I was trying to make it so real. If they can do it, you can do it. So we did that, and afterwards I did a presentation called “You're one Funnel Away.” Which basically I had no power point slides, I just told the story of all the ups and downs in my business and the funnels that have saved me. I talked about the two or three times I've almost gone bankrupt. I talked about the fears, the pain, all that kind of stuff. What were the funnels we created that saved us from that. It was emotional, I started crying, which is really embarrassing, especially on stage. Other people were crying and it was cool. I hope people enjoyed that. It was a scary thing for me to get vulnerable like that, but I think it was important so that everyone understands, whatever you're struggling at, it happens to all of us. It happens to me, it happens to everyone. So understanding that and being okay with it and giving yourself permission through that to be able to succeed. That was really cool. After that we had a hack-a-thon at night. I was super tired. I went to the hack-a-thon, talked for a few minutes, then I went back up, ate some dinner and then passed out because I was so tired. But then I hadn't finished my next presentation for the next night. So I set my alarm for 4:30 in the morning, the next morning to get started. Hack-a-thon was awesome, people were up til midnight building funnels. We had a whole bunch of people who built, launched and made money on funnels that night, which was cool. We catered dinner again, which was cool. Then the next day, the last day, which was Thursday. So the last day we came in, Devon brought everyone in, brought the energy high. Then Garrett White and his wife, Danielle and their kids were going to come to the stage and when the event started we couldn't find them anywhere. I was like, “Where's Garrett? Where's Danielle?” We started freaking out. I was totally stressing out and we're trying to Vox them and text them and call them and nothing. And finally Melanie found out what room number they were in, so Dave ran up and knocked on the door like, “Ahhh, we're on stage trying to announce you, where are you guys.” It was a miscommunication, we had told them the wrong, we messed up on our side. But they came down and during that time it was fun because Devon was able to invent a new secret handshake for all funnel hackers, out of necessity. He bought ten minutes time by inventing a new secret handshake, which all of you who have been to Funnel Hacking Live know the secret handshake. Don't show to those who were not there. They'll have to learn it at next year's event. But we've got a secret handshake now that is so cool. In fact, I should add a chapter to the Expert Secrets book about secret handshakes, that would be cool. Anyway, we got a secret handshake and then Garrett, Danielle and their two kids came on stage and gave a presentation that was, I don't even know what to say, it was so amazing. It was so cool. I'm just going to leave it at that. It was something where if you were in the room you felt it and you heard it and it moved you. It was amazing. So there you go. Maybe someday we'll do a launch like warrior funnels .com and share all the presentations of Garrett throughout the Funnel Hacking Live events because they have just been amazing Anyway, who knows, but we'll look at that. So then we had after they got done. I came up and did a presentation called fill your funnel, which is how to make it rain. How to get people into your funnels. And this was the only presentation where I actually sold-sold. We were selling things throughout the event and I'll talk about this at the end, but this is the only one where I did the actual presentation. It went good, but a couple of weird things. When I got on stage after Garrett, there was so much energy from Garrett and Danielle and it was amazing. I came on immediately afterwards and the audio/video guys didn't turn the music on, so I got up there and it was just kind of a weird transition. And then we awarded Stu and Amy their checks for World Teacher Aide, which was the quarter of a million bucks, which was awesome. Then it was my chance to get up there and teach affiliate funnel and we sold a course called fill your funnels. And just something about that, I don't know what it was. Something about the presentation was kind of off. I'm just going to be completely honest. I had numbers in my head of what I thought I was going to do and I didn't do that. It did well, if I told you guys how many we sold, everyone else would think I was a selfish kid and rude. It did well, but what I expected, and there was this, I was doing it, I couldn't get the flow right. I don't know if it was, part of it I think was because I worked on the presentation the week earlier, then that morning I woke up at 4:30 trying to get it done and I was tired and worn out. There was something about the energy that wasn't quite right. I think it was good, but it wasn't great, like I wanted it to be. But at the end of it we sold, and it was awkward. I'm like, in the pitch, “This is hard selling you guys through my perfect webinar, even though I've trained all you guys on it and most of you guys are doing it now. It's like, I'm doing it onstage live. It's funny how that works.” But it did well, that was when had breaks, we had snack breaks. And then basically we had to clear the whole audience out, secret service came through for Tony Robbins group, swept the whole thing and then Tony was onstage and I was in the back super nervous and awkward and worried. It's so different, because with Marcus when he came, he just showed up in his own Uber, it was laid back, he hung out with the crowd, it was really easy and laid back. And Tony was the opposite of that. He had his security detail of 10 or 15 people there who were like, swept all the chairs making sure there were no bombs or guns and we had check people as they came through. I was in the back and they had to pull us all out so he could come in. Very intense and caused anxiety and nerves and all this stuff, that was nervous. Plus, I found out Tony was throwing up before he came. So he wasn't feeling good. So much stress. He brought Tony into this little green room and they let us come in and he came out. It went from this nerve, all the nerves, it was like an hour of this, while we were waiting for him to get here. All the nerves and fear and anxiety. What if he's sick and he can't speak? What if people don't get what, they were so excited for him to be there. Secret service security was honestly kind of frustrating because it just. You know how I am, I'm so laid back, it was beyond corporatey, it was secret service, military. Which is good, he needs that, I understand that. But it was just kind of, at first we were trying to make this cool experience and it was so hard. And then again, Tony came in and did his thing in the green room and came out and came to us and we had moment before he got on stage where he just kind of came in and gave me a hug, and gave my wife, Collette, a hug. And Dylan and Todd and their wives, he just connected personally with us at a level. I was so grateful for that, because it just made all the stress and everything go away. It was like, it's going to be okay. Tony's here, he's going to do what he does, and he's the best in the world and everyone's going to love it. I'm not going to stress and I'm going to let it happen and it was cool. Normally, I guess they don't let people introduce him, but I was like, “I would love to introduce Tony, there is a reason why I wanted him here and I want everyone to know that reason.” So they let me introduce Tony and I got all choked up during the introduction. But I was talking about how in his bio it talks about how he's helped 50 million people around the world. I was like, well that's cool. Tony helped me. He helped my wife. He helped our family. If it wasn't for Tony, my wife and I were at a rough spot before I met Tony, before I went to his event. It was honestly, it was what healed us. And I'm just so grateful for him and after I went to Tony's stuff, I went to all of his events in a year period of time, and then right after that my company collapsed. Had I not been equipped by the tools he gave me, I don't know if I could have handled that. I was just talking about how grateful I am and how excited I was to share him with my world and my people, my funnel hackers. Then we played a video of him and we all went crazy and Tony came up on stage, gave me a hug and took over. And he was supposed to go for three hours. And again, he was puking five minutes before he got on the stage and I was nervous. And he stood there and he went not for three hours, not for four hours, but for five hours with everybody. It was just cool. Everyone's jumping and screaming and having fun. It was awesome. It just made the event, it was already amazing, just that much more amazing. And when it was done, all of the Inner Circle members had a chance to get pictures with Tony, which was cool. Then we went up and ate real quick, and then I had a chance to go up to his hotel room afterwards and interview him for his new book, which hopefully you guys saw him on Facebook live. We showed that. And it was just awesome. That night we passed out, woke up in the morning. We had late checkout, so we hung out for a while and it was just cool to sit there and reflect with my wife. And the coolest thing for me is that this is the first time that Collette has ever been to, I mean she's come to my events and poked her head in and then had to leave to watch the kids or all these different things, that time the kids didn't come. So she had a chance to be there and be present and sit in the audience for almost the entire thing. For me, that was special. It was cool and it was I think the first time she'd ever seen me doing what we do. And you guys have a chance to see it through the podcast and through all the stuff I'm doing, but she's not connected to that. She's not connected to the business very much, she's very much supporting from home, but not part of everything that's happening. So for her to be able to see that and experience it with people in the audience, it was special for me. So I just loved that. It was awesome. That was kind of Funnel Hacking Live. And then as we're, that day we're leaving, flying home and I look at the Facebook group, and everyday I'm looking, kind of scrolling through, and if any of you guys are in our Facebook group you're probably bombarded by millions and millions, everyone talking about it. I was like, alright, ready fire aim. Everybody is excited right now. Why don't we sell tickets for next year's event right now? So from the airport I did a Facebook Live. “Okay, we're selling tickets. There's a discount and Sunday at midnight we're pulling the page down. So you gotta buy them now if you want them. Otherwise you gotta wait six months and who knows what the price will be then?” Did a Facebook Live, emailed the list and over the next three days we sold almost a thousand tickets to next year's event. We almost sold as many tickets as last year, just from that. Hopefully won't lessen the momentum. If the momentum is there, capitalize on it. Don't wait six months, “Hey you guys remember the event we talked about six months ago? Who wants to come again?” When people's energy and emotion and excitement are high, that's the best time to sell. So we sold a lot of tickets, which was cool. It's funny, I had some of the Inner Circle members freaking out, “Do we get discount tickets or not?” I was like, “I don't know, I haven't thought through this.” This is the lesson for everyone. I'm a big believer in “Ready Fire Aim” We just fired and I have no idea. We'll figure it out way later, but we don't have time right now. We just fired. Sorry, but that's how it works over here. Everything's not scripted out and planned second by second. Some things are, but most things aren't. Hopefully that's inspiration for you guys to. To know, “Look, figure things out and just do it.” So that was kind of the event in a nutshell. For those who were there, hopefully that was a good breakdown. I wish I could spend the hour or two hours on each presentation that people did, so you can experience it. But hopefully those that weren't there, this will give you desire to come next year. I want you guys to be there. Yeah, I will probably sell recordings, and you will probably have some of these videos that are easy to see, but there's something different about being in the room and being surrounded by 1500 of your peers who are doing the same thing. Seeing 100 of your peers on stage with a big trophy saying I made a million dollars with a funnel this year. There's something different about that. So I recommend for all of you guys to make that break and come to the event. One last thing I want to share, because I kind of hinted to this earlier. And I think it'll be cool for you guys to know. This is actually not a victory, this is a failure. A failure in my eyes. But I want to share with you guys, just so you understand that I mess things up too. So one of the cool things that I wanted to do is, usually at each Funnel Hacking Live we sell one thing. We did certification at the first event and second event. This year, I didn't want to sell, I don't want this to be a selling event, but there's things we want to offer people. So we had this big trip to Kenya, which was awesome and people jumped on that. We had the Follow-up Funnels which was awesome and people jumped on that. Then I was trying to, we had this new event called the FHAT event that I was excited about and want people to come to that. Then we also had Fill Your Funnel and I think I tried to offer too many things. Not that we, it wasn't like I was selling each thing, but we had them available. At the Hack-a-thon, I was like “Hey if you want to come to the FHAT event, here's one more thing on it.” And I think it almost caused confusion. People didn't know what to do. I think moving forward next year, we'll probably just pick one thing and focus on that again, just to not cause confusion. But one of my big things, again I only want one session when we sold, and that was Fill Your Funnel. That one went well, but it was just, the energy wasn't quite right when I did it. So that was one thing. But the other cool thing is that the entire Funnel Hacking Live event, if you look at it from the outside, it was a big perfect webinar. Session number one, if you've gone through the perfect webinar in detail and as you read the Expert Secrets book, you'll understand it at a level I've never really shared it before. But the first thing we do is talk about the vehicle putting people in. So my first presentation was about creating a mass movement, becoming an expert. So that was the first vehicle. Session number one, would have been secret number one if this was a webinar. Session number two is about the internal beliefs and that's how I walked into, I shared the story, showing “Look, you can create a mass movement.” And they're like, “Well I don't know if I can.” I'm like, “If you can master stories you can.” Belief number two was all about can they internally do it? So the second presentation for me was all about that. The internal. Then the third presentation, which was the One Funnel Away, was the external. I believe I can do it, I can tell stories, but I don't know how to do this whole funnel thing. So I shared at the One Funnel Away presentation to help people understand the external fears. So if you look at, again if you break down the perfect webinar, you've got the belief pattern is tied to the vehicle, which is the new opportunity we're putting people into. That was session number one, number two is their internal beliefs, false beliefs about themselves, and number three is the external false beliefs about themselves. So that's how we structure those three presentations, and what we do at the hack-a-thon is offer people to come to the FHAT event, because that was kind of the natural continuation of that. The problem I have is that, if you look at the perfect webinar, what's the last step? It's stack and close and we didn't stack and close anymore. We just basically said, “hey you should come to the FHAT event because it's awesome.” And we had a lot of people who did, but not what I expected or hoped. My two big lessons, number one when you're doing a webinar you can't forget the stack and the close. It's important even if you break their beliefs, if you don't offer them the opportunity to buy and do it in a way that's going to convince them to buy, a lot of people that you could have served, won't be served. I honestly think that everybody should be at the FHAT event. I don't think there's anything I could do to serve anybody at a higher level than that. And because I kind of shied away and didn't sell it and skipped the last step, I'm not able to affect as many people's lives' because of that. For me that looks like a failure. IT's not the money. Money's a cool way to keep score, but for me, I should have had 100 people from that room coming to Boise so I could help them create the perfect webinar. And I don't. I have a lot but not that many because I…..I don't know the exact reason, but I didn't do it right. It came down to me having fears of trying to make it an official offer to people. It's funny, even after this long I still make the same fears that other people make as well. That was one big thing. And then the other thing, is again, shipping the focus of the event to being focusing on core thing we want people to do. Because I think people were confused, “I'm coming to Kenya, I upgraded and I'm all in, there's this FHAT event Russell's talking about and I don't know what that is because he didn't tell me about it. Sounds cool, but I have no idea. Then there's Fill Your Funnel.” So I think that that was my other mistake. There was confusion in where I wanted people to go from here. So those are the things I learned, and again, that's something you always learn as you do them. So it'll be fun, next year my goal is to make the event even better. It's shifting the focus, well I don't know what the focus is going to be yet. But it's making sure that everyone has an amazing experience, both from a marketing standpoint and also a personal development standpoint. I think that's one neat thing we bring that nobody else does, which is cool. And then the third thing is really figuring out for people who come through the experience, what's the next step for them. And focusing everything on that and not having two or three next steps, but one. And saying, “This is what you guys should be doing next. Those who are interested.” So that's what I learned at Funnel Hacking Live as well. Anyway, I appreciate everyone who was there, I had a great time. With that said, this is probably the longest marketing in your car of all time, but it's a recap for those who missed it. And hopefully you guys will come next year, because it's going to be amazing. Tickets are not for sale right now, but in four or five months we'll open it and we have probably 1500 more tickets or so I believe. When we do open it up, the price has gone up, I apologize for those that didn't get my emails and everything else. I tried to warn you. With that said, thank you guys and I'll talk to you all again soon.
