Tired of watching potential clients slip through your fingers because they need 83 touch points before they trust you enough to buy? What if you could speed up that journey while building genuine relationships that lead to incredible retention rates? This is part two of a special cross-over episode! Make sure you listen to part one on Polly's podcast "Make More Money Without Selling Your Soul" where we dive into our business origin stories and the mistakes that taught us everything.Welcome to Marketing Unfiltered, where host Sophia explores authentic marketing strategies for entrepreneurs who want to build genuine connections with their audience. In this episode, Sophia continues her conversation with evergreen funnel expert Polly Lavarello to tackle one of the biggest challenges facing entrepreneurs today: how to build trust and make sales in an increasingly skeptical market where people need more touch points than ever before. We cover:➡️ How low ticket offers are replacing webinars as the new "trust builder" (and why charging $50-$500 upfront gets better results than free)➡️ The truth about touch points: why it's gone from 7 to 83 touch points before someone buys (and how to make this work FOR you, not against you)➡️ Why retention should be 50%+ of your marketing focus (and how one client renewed for the FOURTH year in a row)➡️ The biggest mistake entrepreneurs make: building fancy funnels before validating their offer actually sells➡️ How to create a "body of work" with your content so new people can quickly understand what you do and why you're different➡️ Why your business should be "the most boring thing about you" (and how simplicity builds trust faster than complexity)➡️ The psychology behind why people say "that was so helpful!" but never actually implement what you taught them➡️ How to reverse engineer everything from your high ticket offer (including list growth strategies that actually convert)➡️ Why ads are becoming non-negotiable for sustainable growth (even if you start with just a small budget)Whether you're struggling with low conversion rates, dealing with tire-kickers, or wondering why your "perfect" funnel isn't working, this episode gives you the roadmap to build systems that actually convert prospects into long-term, high-value clients.Resources mentioned in the episode:➡️ Polly's free guide: "How to Turn Your Group Program Into an Everyday Sales Machine" → https://pollylavarello.lpages.co/download-everyday-sales-machine/ ➡️ Part 1 of this conversation on "Make More Money Without Selling Your Soul" podcast: On Apple: https://podcasts.apple.com/ng/podcast/make-more-money-without-selling-your-soul/id1663248092On Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/episode/6xL3d93tlzTsTlPgRLNnt6?si=2LXbI5pcTlmgrRtfl7m_IQ ➡️ Upcoming free training on building evergreen funnels (check Polly's website for dates)Connect with Polly Lavarello: Website: pollylavarello.com Instagram: @pollylavarelloPodcast: Make More Money Without Selling Your SoulConnect with Sophia: Website: gotocoach.club Listen to 15 Minute Strategy Sessions: gotocoach.club/fortheLoveofMarketingMarketing Unfiltered is hosted by Sophia, exploring authentic marketing strategies for entrepreneurs who want

About the Guest(s): Dr. Chad Woolner and Dr. Andrew Wells are experienced practitioners in the field of functional medicine. Dr. Woolner has extensive experience in helping healthcare professionals integrate meaningful systems and protocols to elevate patient outcomes and improve business practices. Dr. Wells, a co-host of the Simplified Functional Medicine podcast, is particularly skilled in patient communication and has dedicated his career to enhancing healthcare delivery using innovative models and techniques to improve patient experience and success. Episode Summary: In this episode of the Simplified Functional Medicine podcast, hosts Dr. Chad Woolner and Dr. Andrew Wells delve into transforming the often dreaded process of high-ticket sales in the functional medicine space into an effortless alignment that feels natural and authentic. They reveal a strategic framework that sets practitioners up for success in high-ticket program conversions. Their insights aim to alleviate the discomfort practitioners often feel in sales scenarios, which can stem from a lack of alignment between patient goals and practitioner offerings. The episode discusses how vital it is for healthcare practitioners, especially in the shifting landscape from insurance models to self-pay systems, to master the art of non-pressurized sales. By sharing personal anecdotes and drawing parallels to real estate, they illustrate how identifying patient goals and building rapport is critical for success. They argue that the discomfort in sales comes from uncertainty and the lack of a structured approach, which they aim to rectify with their well-crafted scripting and communication strategies. Key Takeaways: Practitioners should prioritize understanding patient goals to align their offerings with patient needs, thus transforming the sales process into a natural, tension-free encounter. Preparation and effective use of scripting significantly enhance patient-practitioner communication, ensuring that sales discussions are smooth and impactful. Distinguishing between pressure and natural tension is crucial; the latter, derived from aligning patient-presented problems with solutions, leads to better conversion rates. A heart-centered approach to patient care and a genuine desire to help patients solve their health issues significantly enhances the practitioner-patient relationship. Mastery of scripting and patient communication improves conversion rates and enhances patients' trust and confidence in their healthcare providers. Notable Quotes: "If you feel slimy asking patients for money, this episode is absolutely for you." - Dr. Andrew Wells "What we want to find out is what their goal is around that thing, around that health condition." - Dr. Andrew Wells "Tension naturally seeks resolution. People will pay to resolve the tension." - Dr. Chad Woolner "Use scripting to take all the pressure off of you on what you're going to say and how you're going to guide the conversation." - Dr. Andrew Wells "Massive difference between pressure and tension; understanding those two things is the key to reaching, helping patients reach those goals." - Dr. Chad Woolner Resources: Learn more and schedule a discovery call with Dr. Andrew Wells: Simplified Functional Medicine Subscribe and follow for more episodes of the Simplified Functional Medicine podcast: Podcast Website Transforming the sales process into a meaningful exchange requires understanding and empathy. Episode Summary: In this pivotal episode of the Simplified Functional Medicine Podcast, Dr. Chad Woolner and Dr. Andrew Wells dive deep into the often challenging aspect of sales within the healthcare sector, especially focusing on high-ticket program conversions. They propose a paradigm shift for practitioners who are averse to traditional sales approaches by presenting a framework that makes enrollment as natural and ethical as possible, without the off-putting pressure of conventional sales techniques. The episode explores key strategies for transforming how practitioners approach patient interaction to achieve higher conversion rates for their high-ticket health programs. Highlighting the importance of understanding patients' goals and the role of tension rather than pressure in the sales process, Dr. Woolner and Dr. Wells share invaluable insights on building trust and developing authentic patient-practitioner relationships. Additionally, they discuss the significance of scripting and preparation to turn the potentially intimidating sales conversation into a reassuring and collaborative dialogue. They draw parallels with real estate agents to illustrate effective selling techniques and emphasize creating an alignment between practitioners' offerings and patients' desires. Key Takeaways: Understand the Patient: Take the time to ask open-ended questions to fully understand what the patient wants, beyond mere symptom relief. Scripting is Essential: Properly practiced scripting guides the conversation effectively, sounding natural and confident rather than robotic. Build Trust Early: Making a strong first impression in the initial five minutes with the patient is crucial for building a lasting relationship. Differentiate Pressure from Tension: Pressure seeks escape while tension seeks resolution; operate in a way that establishes natural tension to help patients reach their goals. Align Solutions with Goals: Present solutions that align directly with patients' articulated goals for more successful conversions. Notable Quotes: "If the word sales makes your skin crawl… this episode is going to be a turning point for you." - Dr. Chad Woolner "The healthcare industry is shifting away from the insurance model to self-pay models." - Dr. Andrew Wells "The secret to a successful sales process in healthcare lies in establishing a natural alignment between patients' desires and practitioners' offerings." - Dr. Chad Woolner "If you're doing sales the right way, it shouldn't feel awkward or slimy." - Dr. Andrew Wells "The value of using scripting is it takes all the pressure off of you on what you're going to say." - Dr. Andrew Wells Resources: Simplified Functional Medicine Website: Simplified Functional Medicine Connect with Dr. Chad Woolner on social media for more insights and tips in functional medicine. From blue-collar roots to the boardroom, Ted's story is anything but ordinary.Ted breaks down the real story behind strategic alliances, the truth about JV deals, and why motives matter more than marketing tactics. If you're chasing “easy riches” via automation and affiliates, Ted's about to hit you with some serious entrepreneurial reality. The episode is packed with gems—from the KPE (Key Points of Execution) framework that helps CEOs stay focused, to the importance of building a board of advisors that's both fun and profitable. Ethical bribes, off-roading in the wilderness, and showering in rivers with your kid? Yeah… this one's got it all.Key TakeawaysWebinars are dead—long live workshops! Episode Highlights[00:11] Where This Debate Comes From Ryan and Brook open up about a common fear in the coaching space: Will a low-ticket offer sabotage high-ticket sales? The answer: only if you build it wrong.[01:15] Why Most People Get It Wrong Brook explains how low-ticket offers often come from boredom or desperation instead of intentionality—and why that's a recipe for disaster.[04:49] A “Train vs. Private Jet” Approach A properly designed low-ticket offer solves a micro-problem or acts as a slower path to the same destination, allowing your ideal client to stay on the journey without pressure.[07:02] Trust Over Marketing Low-ticket offers give prospects a taste of your value. If done right, you're not upselling on hype—you're upselling on trust.[10:35] Offer Collapse Strategy Ryan breaks down how your high-ticket and low-ticket offers can be modular versions of the same solution, using delivery format as the differentiator—not the content itself.[14:33] The Law of Reciprocity in Action A powerful reminder: If your low-ticket offer overdelivers, clients will feel pulled toward your higher-end services—often because they want to give back.[20:21] Serving Those Who Can't Afford High Ticket (Yet) Why heart-centered coaches should consider low-ticket offers as a way to create transformation for people who are ready and willing but financially limited.[23:36] Leveraging MRR with Low-Ticket Offers How a low-ticket offer can extend the client journey post-high-ticket, creating predictable monthly revenue and business stability.[27:05] Testing and Market Research with Low-Ticket Offers Use low-ticket programs to validate messaging, pricing, and product-market fit before scaling up ad spend or building something bigger.[29:44] The 5 Things to Avoid with Low-Ticket Offers Ryan and Brook close the episode by unpacking five major pitfalls to avoid—including unclear positioning, brand dilution, overwhelm, and turning it into your business's core focus.Links Mentioned:Coaching Equation Website: Leave us a voicemail at coachingequation.com and let us know—are you planning to build a low-ticket offer?

My intuition led me to high ticket sales as a strategy pretty early on in my business (thanks intuition!) As an immigrant who built my entire life and network over from scratch in North America, I built community around my business one new connection at a time…. So it made sense for me to focus on selling higher priced services to small numbers of people to start building my business quickly. As someone with very little education in business, but with a gift from writing stories, growing a personal brand was my fastest path to my financial goals. Very quickly I figured out I needed to build a content creation habit to reach people with my work. I developed my process of sharing my work, starting out using scripts from mentors, then tweaking and refining my message until it WORKED. Then embodying these skills and using them repetitively with more and more ease to produce bigger and better results. I built a clear content strategy, strategically sharing my story and pitching my work within a clear launch strategy for each offer I sold. I studied the art of sales conversation and mastered sales calls, before building this conversation INTO my content strategy, allowing me to stop doing sales calls altogether. Tune into this week's Creative Magic Club podcast to learn the extra piece of my strategy that HAD to be there for me to reach 5-figure launches and 6-figures years in my business (that wouldn't have been possible without it!)This is part 1 of a 3 part series on selling high ticket on social media. Traditional sales tactics often fall flat in today's B2B landscape, especially when dealing with high-ticket deals. Buyers are more informed than ever, and outdated, pushy strategies only create resistance instead of trust. Success now comes from strategic positioning, deep relationship-building, and demonstrating real value at every touchpoint. When sales shifts from persuasion to partnership, closing big deals becomes a natural outcome instead of an uphill battle. Greg Nutter is the Principal Consultant at Soloquent.
