POD FICTION

This episode isn't about anything in particular. If you listen all the way through you will hear that we are taking a break from the podcast for a few months to finish out the worst year in history trying to wrap our heads around our unpredictable futures. We will be back though, don't forget about us.  When writing the descriptions of each episode I always realize that there was much more I wanted to say about something. This time its - we fucking love doing this, we really do. We love that some random people listen to us rant and tangent about nothing and also stuff. I personally will probably binge all 100 episodes prior to our return, that's how much I love this shit.  Yeah, I said 100 episodes. This is our 100th episode if you add them all up. That's saying something for us twoze. Two guys that start a million projects and never finish any of them. A couple friends that really cant create anything new except bad habits. Those two dudes started a podcast and released one hundred fucking episodes. What the fuck did we even say!? What didn't we say? As much as I care, or the old me would've cared, that there are so many opinions of ours out there for the world to listen to if they so choose, I realize that by doing the podcast I gained a new part of myself. Starting out by feeling sorry for our selves actually lead to the realization that attention is a drug and all we want is to be loved. We do. I mean us, the 2 of us. Federal "secret" police are running around kidnapping people for exercising their 1st amendment rights, with plans to make a presence in other parts of the country. Pandemics. Climate change. Capitalism. #teachers. We rant and tangent about it all. I think. We are gonna take a turn from our normal chit chat on an upcoming episode, so stay tuned for that! Man...... does anyone read this shit?  Its hard to describe the direction this one took. We talk about a lot of shit. Follow smart people, protect innocent people, quit exploiting people.  And then subconscious and all that we don't know about that because trying to sound smart once a week is exhausting. Can't really summarize something we never remember saying because of severe manic anxiety. What did I just say?     

The 4th of July. A day for fireworks, family, food, beer and fun. Except for this year, this year its about alcohol only. Well, and racism. Its been a crazy few weeks and we're not even talking about current events. Remington had to move and it fucked our podcast schedule up in more ways than one. Except that we're selfish and went on our own hero's journey and want to talk about that, first.  But then.... Our opinions on the riots might not be as popular as your friends' opinions on Facebook. We really are dumb by design. On this episode we go from legalizing prostitution to religion and its nonsense, in very dramatic fashion.  Some of the in between consists of one of us feeding the other with a load of shit regarding being a dudest priest of the church of latter day dudes. We should be clear - We are usually all for protesting. The ineptitude displayed over the past week in regards to staying at home during a pandemic, has set a new standard for stupidity. Maybe they aren't trying to. We have evolved to a place that 99% of doctors 100% believe that they are doing the right thing for people by treating symptoms rather than causes. If we were to really sit back and meditate on how the human race has evolved and made it to the place that we are, we should realize pretty easily that our current systems are not how we have survived this long. The more that we intervene with foreign substances the more disease is mutated and ultimately introduced to humanity.  Everything is in your head. The mind/body connection is remarkable and the more that you understand the power of the mind the more opportunity for growth there is, in your own world. Everything starts with you, not the doctors office.  We also discuss minimalism. The responsibility of every little thing you own, holds weight. Try to imagine your life without an abundance of shit that you don't use, or even see or think about everyday. Once you realize that social acceptance is moot in the grand scheme of things you start to see that a large percentage of the shit you have, you don't really want or need and once you start ridding your life of small responsibilities that you don't really require, the more room you have to breathe. According to a meme on the "Weird Facts" page on Facebook, In the Netherlands, sex is viewed as a human right; disabled citizens can receive government allowances for legal prostitutes up to 12 times a year. Is sex for everyone to share? Before marrying for love jealousy might not have really existed, has monogamy stifled human progress?  Do we really love our monogamous partners, or are we in love with the concept of the one? Marriage shifted to being about a love for another, a half to your whole, from a way to financial and familial gain. Before that we we're all hunter gatherers boning it out. Mental health is not a you issue, is societal. For Men's health awareness month or "Movember", we committed to a few goals  between us and because we have fairly strong opinions regarding mental health, men's especially, why wouldn't we wanna talk about it. We reeeaaallly don't like nazis. One of us more than the other. Can you guess which one? Seems to us the poor are looking at this all wrong; we should all band together and be racist toward the rich. Segway into the lighter part of our lives.  Health is a confusing thing. Just remember, we are not healthy and you should tread lightly on this subject with us. Vegans may have it right, but capitalism is going to quickly clean that up behind our back before we have a chance to take back our health. Processed food is processed fucking food. Milk drinkers have always been a phenomenon we'll never understand, but the stupidity of the public is astounding.

Boys don't cry, men kill themselves. Maybe we need a safe space. Brandon and Remington like to use "This is Us" as an excuse to cry. Really though why are we condemning young men for expressing emotions some might call "weak"? Watching as they build an emotional prison in which to reside. We don't think its acceptable that the general public is fearful when a police cruiser slides behind you, all up in them dm's. And if you are a good cop that doesn't hold his brothers and sisters in blue accountable, then you are not really that good of a cop, are you? Climate change is real. People thinking we survive as the world corrects itself, is also very real. And frustrating.  And.. We talk a lot of shit about incels and toxic masculinity, as these are things that we actually care about, both being fathers to young girls. But is there a shoe to put on the other foot?
