Stop in-fighting and purity testing! Find common ground with the folks you disagree with least and form a coalition with them to tackle the biggest problems that you DO agree on! • Be media literate! Don't get sucked into arguments with bots and human trolls. It saps your energy and makes you feel like the other side is bigger than it is. Every social platform has mute, block, or restrict features. Use them to your advantage. • Talk openly and proudly about your values and how bad policies are directly impacting you and the people you care about. This helps turn the tide as far as approval ratings and gets other people fired up and engaged. Meredith and Tess discuss the wrecking ball that Meta (aka the parent company of Facebook and Instagram) has thrown through Boredwalk's operations since the start of 2024 due to its persistently broken and volatile ad platform. This leads to a conversation about the things that Boredwalk is being forced to do to survive, including layoffs and testing the shark-infested waters of selling on Amazon. To add insult to economic injury, they react to a recent foul-mouthed email our customer service team received from a person who purchased a counterfeit Boredwalk t-shirt from some obviously shady scam website yet somehow was able to figure out what our email address is.
