This week on Pop Culture Pastor, Dave and Cody set out in search of eternal youth and… mostly find studio notes and safe choices. In our full review of Fountain of Youth, we dive into Guy Ritchie's lightest touch yet, a charming John Krasinski, and a MacGuffin so undercooked it might still be thawing. Is it fun? Sometimes. Is it deep? Not especially. But hey, there's a moped chase and some ancient Christian imagery just vague enough to avoid offending anyone. Also in this episode:Michael Bay is making a Skibidi Toilet movie. That sentence alone may signal the end of western civilization.Thunderbolts bombs at the box office, and we try to figure out if it's Marvel fatigue, character obscurity, or just a tragic lack of marketing.Taylor Swift fans think the AMAs muted her applause. We investigate (and theorize wildly).

Timestamps:00:00:00 Nerd Culture #21000:01:55 Wat gaan we vandaag doen? 00:03:43 Comment van de week!00:12:01 Wat hebben we gekeken/gelezen/geluisterd?00:12:16 Black Bag00:15:38 Slow Horses00:18:28 Mission: Impossible Death Reckoning00:19:38 Mission: Impossible The Final Reckoning00:29:40 Ted Lasso00:35:29 The Sopranos00:43:32 One Day (Emma en Dex)00:48:14 De Poolse Bruid00:54:37 The Last of Us S201:00:49 Not Just a Goof01:02:28 Atlanta: S8 E401:04:40 The Fountain of Youth 01:07:36 Volgende film Tom Cruise wordt brute actie komedie01:11:37 (Nieuwe) Jurassic World Rebirth Trailer01:14:39 Avengers Doomsday en Secret Wars officieel uitgesteld, krijgen we een nieuwe kersttraditie?01:16:18 Het DC Universe gaat chronologisch lopen.01:21:20 Documentaire Shia LaBeouf laat mensen weglopen op Cannes01:23:59 Michael Bay werkt aan Skibidi Toilet film01:27:27 Avatar 2 weer in de bioscoop voor Avatar 301:29:57 A24 en The Pebble gaan samen meer films maken01:32:04 James Bond gecast?01:34:11 Gaan we nog even naar Tom Cruise kijken deze week en deze week hebben we een popcorn etende Tom Cruise
It's Friendship Week here at Breakfast All Day. And we've come to cause delightful and adorable chaos over the long holiday. If you're looking for our review of the new "Mission: Impossible," we did that in last week's episode. First, we discuss the new "Lilo & Stitch," which is an awful lot like the old "Lilo & Stitch." Disney is once again redoing their animated favorites as live-action features. We're mixed on it, but families will enjoy it, and the casting is great. In theaters. Then we catch up with the cringe comedy of "Friendship" from A24. Tim Robinson and Paul Rudd co-star as neighbors who become unlikely pals really quickly, then have a really ugly falling out. We don't agree on how well this movie works. It's been playing in limited release but expands nationwide this weekend. Finally, we have our first Movie News LIVE! in a few weeks, now that things are getting back to normal for Christy, health-wide. Lots to talk about including the Cannes Film Festival, Alex Garland's "Elden Ring" movie, Michael Bay's "Skibidi Toilet" movie, trailers for Darren Aronofsky's "Caught Stealing" and "The Bear" S4, Billy Joel's sad medical diagnosis and more. We're hoping to get back to these livestreams more consistently now, so stay tuned. Thanks for sharing some of your time with us! * Christy is loving the latest limited-edition, non-alcoholic brew from Athletic Brewing Co., where she's proud to be an ambassador: Aftershift, which is light-bodied with notes of lime leaf and yuzu. Strany před letošními sněmovními volbami hledají hlasy i mimo své tradiční voličské skupiny. A cílí na mladé výrazně více než dřív."Zvítězí ten, který pochopí, co ta cílovka chce. To ještě nikdo úplně nemá,“ říká Bára Stárek. Jak budou mladí voliči v letošních sněmovních volbách důležití? Jak politikům fungují tanečky na sítích? A co mladí Češi a Češky dnes doopravdy chtějí? Sama to v on-line prostoru vnímá delší dobu. „To je poslední rok, dva, kdy se do toho (strany) pořádně opřely. Hodně stran si hledá svoji autenticitu a úplně si ji ještě nenašlo. Šéf hnutí ANO Andrej Babiš s mladými chodí do kina, hraje ping-pong a nosí mikiny s nápisem lowkey alpha. To chytne každého. „Politici by měli zkusit i další trendy“, říká třeba v souvislosti s pirátským Hřibidi Stárek. „Jestli ještě jedna strana vezme nějaké GenZ slovíčko a bude ho používat, já už to nezvládnu, už z toho začínám mít fakt osypky. A začne Marie Bastlová sledovat závody Formule 1? --V bonusovém projektu pořadu Ptám se já – Rok voleb moderátorka Marie Bastlová a sociolog Martin Buchtík glosují zásadní trendy a témata letošních sněmovních voleb. Episode 139 of The Liberty Den is a wild ride through the cultural, political, and comedic chaos of Clown World, hosted by a rotating crew of Badlands Media personalities. The crew tears into the Left's obsession with defending Kilmar Garcia, a gang-affiliated illegal immigrant, and exposes the Democrats' disturbing alliance with criminals over citizens. With razor-sharp commentary and an avalanche of AI-generated memes, the gang has a field day skewering the progressive narrative. From Senator Van Hollen's tequila diplomacy in El Salvador to Stephen Miller's viral press briefing takedown of the mainstream media, the team highlights how the establishment is being forced to defend the indefensible. They don't just roast politicians, they dig into the moral collapse of society, the MSM's depravity, and the loss of shame as a civic virtue. But it's not all fire and brimstone. The conversation spirals into nostalgia and hilarity as the crew reminisces about old-school video games, Nickelodeon slime, Catholic school trauma, and the war on children's media, from “Skibidi Toilet” to “It's Raining Tacos.” With detours into Baby Shark brain rot, underground firestick hacks, and pop culture flashbacks, this episode serves up brutal truth with a side of unfiltered fun. It's political critique meets digital group therapy... loud, unruly, and refreshingly real.

First we hit on a few current events, including a new monolith outside of Las Vegas and a "shadow" CDC website fake. Sharon Hill joins us again, this time to discuss her new "Pop Cryptid Spectator" and all the delightful cryptidabelia that inspires it. She's noticed a rise in paranormal thinking when it comes to cryptids, as opposed to the old-school zoological framing. How has the internet fed into cryptid spread as well as evolution? She also notes that any cryptozoological gatekeepers are now long gone, so it's a wild heyday of "anything goes" as cryptids turn into blobby, cute versions of their old selves and even Skibidi Toilet has a chance at being labelled a cryptid. We touch on snack foods, movies, games, town mascots, and festivals like Pennsylvania's "Squonkapalooza."

Talking about sexual health is so much more than just going over how reproduction works. Relationships, safety, personal boundaries, porn (more than half of kids have seen porn by the time they are 13!) and so many other topics are related! That is why we are so thankful to talk with Deni Tobin, the Violence Prevention Education Supervisor at our partner the Crime Victims Center of Chester County. Deni facilitates CVC's “Smarter Parents” program that empowers parents to talk to their kids of all ages about sexual health and development. Deni shares key points of the program including: how to keep an open connection with your child, safety with strangers especially on the internet, consent, and how to be more comfortable talking about what can feel like a “cringe” topic. We also talk about staying shame free, how to deal with learning about sex online, and SKIBIDI TOILET - if you know you know! Join us! Things we mentioned in this episode: It's So Amazing Book and Series by Robie H. Harris The report, "Teens and Pornography," found that 73% of teen respondents age 13 to 17 have watched pornography online—and more than half (54%) reported first seeing pornography by the time they reached the age of 13. Read more here from Common Sense Media.
