As we move through March 2021, the cycle that began in March 2020 closes its loop and we look at everything that's changed and everything that has stayed the same in the last year.     In this episode, I discuss how the past year has ripped away many illusions from myself and my community surrounding the work that is necessary here on planet earth. Then, channeling the planet Neptune from their residence in Pisces, I work through a few spiritual messages for the Queer Witch Community, mostly surrounding psychic development and identifying illusion.  There is a relationship between emotions, symbols, intuition and illusion. We discuss the presence of illusionary beliefs in psychic channels, stemming in large part from oppressive belief systems, and how they can be triggered by emotionally-charged symbols. So many of us are coming to reckon with our true limitations, histories and the way that white supremacy has been living unchecked inside our homes, in our relationships and in our most personal moments. After some more discussion and research, we realized there is a lot more complexity to this issue than we addressed in our discussion. Specifically, it is important to understand that people of color have their own cultural spiritual practices that we as white practitioners should never attempt to overshadow. Rather than offering unrequested reduced rates for people of color, we feel it is more important for white practitioners to incorporate financial reparations to communities of color. Giving back financially and energetically to communities who's spiritual practices have been marginalized and appropriated by white spirituality is far more important than advertising  services to people of color. One of the most common techniques I use in my personal healing practice and with my clients is shame reduction. Anyone with a marginalized identity, such as a queer one, will understand this. Shame is often something that we learned to feel about our authentic expressions from a very young age. In this solo episode, I share my understanding of shame as it manifests in an energetic context and some techniques for addressing it head on.

I recently had the chance to sit down with a friend and peer of mine in the tarot reading scene, RUUNE. As you may have guessed, RUUNE takes their moniker from the well-known divination method of the same name. What I find interesting about RUUNE's journey into becoming a seasoned tarot reader is that it began with their dedication to music and an interest in videogames. In the beginning of this interview, RUUNE gives us some excellent practical lessons about reading the runes. We also discuss the importance of being critical and open-minded about your sources for learning about ancient divination practises, as well as RUUNE's philosophy and mindset as a professional tarot reader. My name is Anna Joy. I am a queer witch and healer. I am a Reiki Master-Teacher, a tarot card reader and an astrologer by trade. I spend a lot of time working with others on their healing journeys, and I've noticed some strong trends and frequently asked questions among my clients. On this podcast, I will share those with you, as well as bring in some of my peers, mentors, clients and rolemodels for interviews on the subject of queer magick.   My vision for this podcast is to explore the intersection between witchcraft and queerness. I've noticed a strong correlation between magick-mindedness and queerness. So many of the witches I know also fall somewhere in the LGBTQ+ spectrum. "Why is this?" I asked myself.
