Welcome to Gemini Season! Gemini Season kicks off this week, and things are starting to feel a little lighter and more fun. Gemini energy is curious, chatty, and social, and with lucky Jupiter hanging out in Gemini for the next few weeks too, it's an especially sweet time—especially if you're a Gemini like me! Think: more parties, more ideas, more spontaneous conversations, and more reasons to celebrate life. And the energy gets even better when Mercury (Gemini's ruling planet) enters Gemini on May 25. That amps up the mental buzz and gives us three magical weeks to brainstorm, connect, and soak up inspiration. It's flirty, playful energy—so don't be surprised if love shows up or your current relationship gets a refresh. This is the season of fun, connection, and creative ideas flying in faster than ever. But there's also some deeper stuff happening astrologically. Saturn moves into Aries this week for the first time in nearly 30 years, and that's a big deal. Saturn brings structure and long-term focus, and Aries brings action and fresh starts. Together, they're helping us start big, life-changing projects—and actually stick with them. We're entering a brand-new karmic chapter. And get this: Saturn is traveling alongside dreamy Neptune in Aries, which is a rare combo. Saturn wants rules, Neptune wants to dissolve them—so together, they're helping us break down old systems that aren't working and build something better. It's time to reinvent ourselves and our lives. Things are being torn down, both globally and personally, so we can rebuild in a way that's more aligned with who we really are. The cherry on top? One of the best New Moons of the year is coming next week, followed by a powerful Full Moon mid-June. Oh, and lucky, expansive Jupiter moves into Cancer on June 9 (my birthday!). This is one of the most supportive, heart-centered transits we'll see for a while, and it's here to help us actually enjoy the ride. So yeah—this summer? It's big. It's magical. It's going to change everything. Time to start dreaming up what you want it to look like. Learn more and purchase the Summer Pass at https://www.abundology.com/summer-pass
This week, Venus teams up with Saturn and both make inspiring connections with the Moon's North Node. The normally mellow Taurus New Moon is disrupted by power struggles, as the Sun squares, and Mars opposes, Pluto. And (appropriately) a listener question about scary Pluto transits. Plus: Saturn tactics for tough times, folded horns, and bathing with Venus! Read a full transcript of this episode. Have a question you'd like answered on the show? Email April or leave it here! Subscribe to April's mailing list and get a free lunar workbook at each New Moon! Love the show? Make a donation! Timestamps [1:12] Saturn conjuncts the North Node (April 21, 4:31 am PDT) at 26°50' Pisces, on Sabian symbol 27 Pisces, A Harvest Moon. This is the first conjunction between Saturn and the North Node since September 2013. You might succeed in a way that you have envisioned and hoped for, but sometimes the success comes in a form you never could have imagined. [2:28] Venus conjuncts the North Node (April 23, 9:35 pm PDT) at 26°54' Pisces. This transit can indicate that close friends or partners are helping you achieve success. [3:00] The Sun squares Pluto (April 23, 10:10 am PDT) at 3º47' Taurus-Aquarius. The Sun's Sabian symbol is 4 Taurus, The rainbow's pot of gold; Pluto is on 4 Aquarius, A Hindu healer. Claim your importance, and let go of anything that you no longer need. [5:26] Venus conjuncts Saturn (April 24, 5:02 pm PDT) at 27°13' Pisces, on Sabian symbol 28 Pisces, A fertile garden under the Full Moon. This concludes a Venus-Saturn series that began on Jan. 18 and repeated on April 7. Are you any clearer about what you want in relationships and in the way you earn your money? [7:53] Mars opposes Pluto (April 26, 6:05 pm PDT) at 3º48' Leo-Aquarius. The usual interpretation of Mars with Pluto has to do with power struggles and dealing with forces beyond your control. What matters most in these situations is how you handle powerlessness, anger, and frustration. Mars' Sabian symbol, 4 Leo, is A man formally dressed and a deer with its horns folded. Pluto's Sabian symbol is sometimes written as, A Hindu Yogi demonstrates his healing powers. [10:18] Moon Report! The Taurus New Moon is on April 27 (12:31 pm PDT), at 7º46' Taurus. The Moon is exalted in the sign of Taurus, so this is one of the most powerful New Moons of the year. But the Mars-Pluto opposition makes this a little more of a tumultuous New Moon. Taurus is ruled by Venus, so enjoy the sensual aspects of life. The Sabian symbol for this New Moon degree is 8 Taurus, A sleigh without snow. [13:29] This New Moon begins a lunar phase family cycle (LPFC) that unfolds over the next three years. Make a careful note of what your intentions are, what you would like to achieve in your physical health, financial abundance, and sense of security. Jan. 25, 2026 is the First Quarter Moon (first action point) of this LPFC, the Full Moon (awareness point) is on Oct. 25, 2026, the Last Quarter Moon (final action point) is on July 26, 2027. [15:34] Void-of-Course (VOC) Moon periods. On April 22 (2:55 pm PDT), the Moon in Aquarius squares Uranus in Taurus. It's VOC for 7 hours 12 minutes, then enters Pisces (10:07 pm PDT). Step out of your safety zone to do things on your own. [16:40] On April 24 (7:57 pm PDT), the Moon in Pisces conjoins Venus. It's VOC for 4 hours 27 minutes, then enters Aries on April 25 (12:24 am PDT). Enjoy all of the Venusian things life has to offer, but don't go overboard. [18:11] On April 26 (9:18 am PDT), the Moon in Aries sextiles Jupiter. The Moon is VOC for 14 hours 59 minutes (!!!), then enters Taurus on April 27 (12:17 am PDT). Share the good things that come your way and offer encouraging words to other people. [19:18] Listener Pomahoba asks about scary Pluto transits. This week brings another powerful eclipse—this time, a Solar Eclipse on Saturday, the 29th—marking the grand finale of the Aries-Libra eclipse cycle we've been navigating for the past two years. This is a graduation point, the completion of a cycle that has shaped our relationships, identity, and confidence. And since it's the last Aries eclipse near the North Node for the next two decades, it's a moment to reflect on just how much we've evolved. Solar Eclipses are supercharged New Moons, packed with fresh energy and the start of a brand-new cycle. While the recent Blood Moon Eclipse shook things up, this one delivers a burst of optimism and momentum to help us move forward. But remember—eclipses bring fated events, so whatever unfolds now is part of the bigger plan. Things are changing fast, and Aries energy wants us to take charge of that change. That fiery Aries influence makes this eclipse bold and action-oriented, but it can also be intense—you might feel irritable, frustrated, or even emotional. Mercury and Venus are still retrograde, which could bring miscommunications or mental fog. The best approach? Be patient, go slow, and hold off on big decisions until eclipse season passes. Adding to this cosmic shake-up, Neptune moves into Aries on March 30th for the first time in 165 years. Neptune has been in Pisces since 2011, fueling the rise of spirituality, astrology, and all things woo. Now, in Aries, the focus shifts to personal identity and independence—we'll feel more confident in forging our own paths, whether that means moving off-grid, starting a business, or simply living life on our own terms. This is the era of radical self-trust. With all this swirling energy, rest is essential. Give yourself permission to unplug, slow down, and sleep. Build rest into your schedule—take naps, use lavender or chamomile, meditate before bed, or even splurge on new sheets or pajamas. Eclipses are powerful, and change is happening fast—taking care of yourself will help you navigate it all with clarity and ease. Spring begins a brand-new astrological year, bringing powerful endings, fresh beginnings, and major transitions. This season is especially pivotal as 2025 is a historic year—by July, every outer planet will have changed signs, signaling the start of a profound new journey for us all. March sets the stage for transformation, urging us to wrap up old chapters and prepare for what's ahead. With Neptune entering Aries, we're entering an era of deep spiritual shifts and awakening. Meanwhile, Mercury and Venus Retrograde encourage us to pause, reflect, and realign with our true purpose. In April, a mix of Aries and Pisces energy brings both momentum and introspection, helping us ease into the changes. Then, on May 24, Saturn moves into Aries, pushing us forward with a surge of new energy and determination. One of the most intense astrological events of the season happens between April 17–26, when Mars opposes Pluto for the third and final time. The first opposition took place during the election in November, the second during the inauguration in January—what will this final pass bring? This period could be a turning point for both personal and collective transformation. Despite the challenges, there's plenty of cosmic support. Jupiter enters Cancer on June 9, bringing expansion, nurturing energy, and the opportunity to create a more aligned life. May and June also gift us with two beautiful New Moons, making this the perfect time to plant the seeds of our next chapter. Spiritual growth is at an all-time high, and the universe is urging us to step into this new era with confidence and clarity. By the end of the month, the Moon aligns with the Sun in sidereal Capricorn and the lunar mansion Śravaṇa, marking the true start of the New Year. New Moons symbolize fresh beginnings. Unlike the idealistic energy of Sagittarius, a Capricorn New Moon focuses on practicality and taking action, even if it feels challenging. Mercury and Pluto shape this New Moon and the month ahead, while Mars in Gemini watches with frustration at the slow progress. Though Mars appreciates Capricorn's no-nonsense attitude, Gemini's indecisiveness complicates matters. After January's initial optimism, reality sets in. Some goals may prove unattainable, but this shift encourages working with what's possible. It's a time to adapt and succeed through practicality—a "make-do" Moon offering plenty of resources. Śravaṇa, meaning "listening," emphasizes the importance of connecting to wisdom, whether from others or within. Its symbol, the ear, reminds us to pause and tune in after the noise of the New Year fades. Be still, listen, and then follow what is true and real.
2025 is one of the most potent astrological years ever. By mid-year, all three outer planets will have entered new signs. Each outer planet will aspect the other two. And all three outer planets – also known as the "gods of change" – are coming together with unimaginable power into a game-changing aspect pattern. The two social planets, Jupiter and Saturn, also change signs. And the gods of change form potent aspect patterns with Chiron, Saturn, Jupiter, and Mars. As if that wasn't enough, nine New Moons, Full Moons, and eclipses, spread throughout 2025, also light up Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. All of this boosts the outer planets' world-transforming power even more. How can you make your life better than ever with these once-in-a-lifetime astrology opportunities? Dive in and find out! The week of December 30 - January 5, we're exploring Endings and Beginnings as we transition from 2024 to 2025, a year that adds up to 9—the number signifying closure, completion, and the enlightened wisdom born from endings. This week's New Moon in Capricorn at 9° is the final New Moon of 2024 and the third consecutive New Moon at this degree. Interestingly, the first three New Moons of 2025 will also occur at 9°, underscoring the profound cycle of release and transformation we are collectively navigating. He shares these stories to inspire and encourage you to embrace the endings and transitions that may unfold in 2025, offering a powerful reminder that endings often pave the way for growth, forgiveness, and renewal. Kelly gives us an overview of Mercury opposite Jupiter. This Mercury-Jupiter opposition will form three times between November 18 and December 26 over the Gemini-Sagittarius axis. Amplifying and enhancing these aspects are the December Full and New Moons. We are all going to get a boost around the topics of the Gemini and Sagittarius parts of our chart. There is still time to sign up for Kelly's ‘Plan Your Year Ahead - 2025' course. In this course, she goes over the tools and tricks that she personally uses to plan her calendar. “Let no one pass judgment on you in questions of food and drink, or with regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath.” Paul's words in Colossians 2:16-17 are among the more popular verses used to prove the Torah doesn't apply today. But is this claim true? What is the context of Paul's letter here? Who was his opposition?
There's mystery and magic in the air this week as we celebrate Halloween, the Day of the Dead, Samhain, and the New Moon in Scorpio. Halloween and Samhain are times when the veil between the physical world and spirit world is at its thinnest, allowing us to communicate more easily with the spirit world. The powerful new moon in Scorpio amplifies our ability to communicate even more. Scorpio is ruled by Pluto, the planet of the underworld, making this New Moon particularly powerful for connecting with our ancestors, spirits, and guides. If you've ever wanted to communicate with the other side, this week is your chance. New Moons are a time for new beginnings, and with Scorpio's association with death and rebirth, this New Moon is a powerful time to start fresh. Samhain is seen as the Celtic New Year and it marks the end of the harvest and the start of winter, and is time of endings and new beginnings. This is a good moon for setting new intentions, especially related to spiritual growth, shadow work, and personal transformation. The numerology this month supports our new beginnings. In numerology, November is a 1 Universal Month. A 1 Month is a time of new beginnings and fresh starts. One is the start of a new numerological cycle. A new cycle brings fresh energy and the motivation to start new things. Because of the current astrology, the new beginnings will roll out slowly but by the end of the month, things start to pick up speed. November is our opportunity to get our shit together and make plans for the future. Take some time this week to relax, reflect and gain some clarity from the spirit world before the election and Pluto's transit into Aquarius. This New Moon in Virgo closes the "eclipse window" that began major changes in the Virgo-Pisces axis this year—changes that have been developing for many years. Ketu brings these issues to the surface once more. If you have planets in Virgo or Pisces, you may have already noticed changes, as Ketu activated the eclipse degree in July. In October, Mercury and Mars continue this activation. When Mars influences an eclipse, it often brings something into our awareness forcefully. With the Sun, representing leadership, eclipsed by Ketu, the signifier of loss, we may see a leader facing challenges or stepping down. New York's mayor is one example of how Ketu can highlight past mistakes, and we may see more instances like this. New Moons, especially during eclipses, are not ideal for starting new projects. They are better for introspection and resetting before making practical decisions. The alignment of the Sun, Moon, Earth, and Lunar Nodes uncovers hidden aspects of life, especially in the areas of your chart related to Virgo. The eclipse occurs in the Hasta lunar mansion, which symbolizes skill, practicality, and manifestation, as well as manipulation in both positive and negative ways. A Ketu eclipse tends to reveal the negative side. Hasta provides resources to achieve goals, but the eclipse suggests that some important details may be missing. Insights are possible, but take your time to process the information before acting.
/> ### MESSAGE NOTESIn The Way | Politics | Week 4 | September 29, 2024Teacher: Pastor Dave Brown/> Tradition helps us remember God's faithfulness./> This is a day you are to commemorate; for the generations to come you shall celebrate it as a festival to the LORD—a lasting ordinance…Celebrate the Festival of Unleavened Bread, because it was on the this very day that I brought your division out of Egypt…Obey these instructions as a lasting ordinance for you and your descendants. When you enter the land that the LORD will give you as he promised, observe this ceremony. And when your children ask you, “What does this ceremony mean to you?” Then tell them, “It is the Passover sacrifice to the LORD, who passed over the houses of the Israelites in Egypt and spared our homes when he struck down the Egyptians.—Exodus 12:14, 17, 24-28 /> One thing we can learn from this is the importance the Bible places on ritual. The Old Testament repeatedly refers to teaching Israelite children who God is and what he has done.—Peter Enns/> Tradition gives us anchors for belief./> Repetition and familiarity work. What is repeated becomes familiar, and this becomes a part of us…Far too many equate ritual with spiritual dryness. True, ritual and liturgy can be dead but only when the significance and power of those rituals are forgotten. Spiritual death is not a property of ritual itself. To the contrary, ritual has always been and will always be a means of securing for future generations the power and reality of the gospel…Ritual breeds familiarity. It seeps into one's subconscious and, however subtly, begins to exert a formative influence.—Peter Enns/> Tradition “gets in the way” when we misunderstand the why behind it. /> Stop bringing meaningless offerings! Your incense is detestable to me. New Moons, Sabbaths and convocations—I cannot bear your worthless assemblies. Your New Moon feasts and your appointed festivals I hate with all my being. They have become a burden to me; I am weary of bearing them. When you spread out your hands in prayer, I hide my eyes from you; even when you offer many prayers, I am not listening. Your hands are full of blood! Wash and make yourselves clean. Take your evil deeds out of my sight; stop doing wrong. Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow.—Isaiah 1:13-17 /> As with the Israelites, our worship practices and religious activities are intended to be symbolic of deeper realities. There is no necessary connection between these and the realities. But there is a direct connection between those realities and our ethical behavior. We can be very religious and yet be living our lives for ourselves. We can give the appearance of obedience and yet be living a self-centered life that is nothing but rebellion.— John Oswalt /> Tradition “gets in the way” when it no longer accomplishes its why. /> Certain people came down from Judea to Antioch and were teaching the believers: “Unless you are circumcised, according to the custom taught by Moses, you cannot be saved.”—Acts 15:1 /> Now then, why do you try to test God by putting on the necks of Gentiles a yoke that neither we nor our ancestors have been able to bear? No! We believe it is through the grace of our Lord Jesus that we are saved, just as they are…It is my judgement therefore that we should not make it difficult for the Gentiles who are turning to God.—Acts 15:10-11, 19

I'm all about the Lunar Gestation Cycles and this one has really spoken to me!18 months ago we lost our lovely Poppy dog and it was *such* a Pisces initiation.I'm very curious to see what next week brings and this podcast is a discussion of the themes abounding at this time. Peak #spiritual living. Here's what I had written 18 months ago at the corresponding New Moon (that happened to be in Aries!)New Moon in Aries 0º 49'21st March 2023 17.22 GMTTarot 10 of CupsThis is the first of two New Moons in Aries. Falling at 0 degrees, the first degree of the Zodiac and conjoined with Neptune we are again straddling two worlds. Aries is the first sign of the Zodiac and so this New Moon on the first day of the astrological New Year is an absolute beginning, but Neptune in Pisces is taking us higher and simultaneously, backwards and forwards in time. I pulled the 10 of Cups for this lunation, a lovely omen that speaks of culmination, romance, spiritual growth and our ability to see silver linings. This New Moon feels like a fresh start that is deeply inspired by the culmination of wisdom from many lifetimes. Everything our souls have been through to get us to this point is being called upon and here we are, at the beginning of the next spiral and we are being invited to set intentions. This is the wisest and oldest we've ever been, here we can call on timelines from the past and future to understand the intentions that need to be set.Do you want to heal? Do you want to release? Do you want to grow? Do you want to improve your self-esteem? Do you want to feel more abundant? Do you want to stand in your power? It's all possible if we understand quantum physics and our ability to CHANGE OUR BELIEFS in moments. To shape-shift, side-step and grow. * How would your soul like to be known?* What is your soul's mission?* What is the ultimate priority? For instance, what would you wish to reflect on from your deathbed? This Lunar Eclipse should be some sort of MANIFESTATION, culmination, reflection or point of clarity about some of these bigger questions. What is your WHY?What gives you FAITH?Where have you been kidding yourself? Are delusions ever helpful?Have a listen and let me know!If you want to enter the competition to win CYCLES 2025 then enter HERE.Love, Francesca xChapters00:00 Lunar Eclipse Reflections and Personal Insights10:00 Cycles of Time and Timelessness20:04 Navigating Emotional Waves and Collective GriefFind Francesca:Website: francescaoddie.comInstagram: hereSubstack: hereResources:Learn about Playing Cards here ♥️♣️♦️♠️Book onto my events: hereSubscribe to my Substack: hereBook a consultation: hereUse code LISTENER to get 25% off my course; Learn to Read Your Birth Chart This is a public episode. The Moon opposes Saturn on Sep. 3 (5:37 am PDT) at 16°23' Virgo-Pisces. The morning may not flow in the easiest way. A few hours later (11:34 am PDT), the Moon squares Jupiter at 19°20' Virgo-Gemini. Take a moment to appreciate everything you've learned from former relationships and your past financial missteps. [8:34] Pluto in Virgo was a relatively short generation, only 14 ½ years, Oct. 19, 1956-Oct. 4, 1971. Pluto retrograded into Leo between Jan. 14-Aug. 18, 1957 and between April 11-June 10, 1958. It also peeked into Libra between Oct. 4, 1971 and April 16, 1972, before leaving Virgo for good. [9:11] In non-astrological terms, this generation is sometimes lumped in with the baby boomers. Pluto in Virgo native's developmental reference points were Watergate, the Reagan era and the AIDS crisis. They were the first generation that didn't remember life before television. This rather workmanlike generation is easy to overlook. [10:10] Interview: Pluto in Virgo with Armand Diaz. [11:56] What makes the Pluto in Virgo generation stand out, especially as astrologers? Virgo New Moon: September 2, 2024: Energy Insights | Ep 462 As the Virgo New Moon graces us on September 2, 2024, we stand at the threshold of a month ripe with transformative potential. This cosmic reset reminds us that every moment is an opportunity to start anew. New Moons symbolize the dawn of a fresh lunar cycle, inviting us to cleanse our energy and embrace new beginnings with open hearts. This new moon is an ideal moment for focusing on self-care, making healthy choices, and enhancing both your personal growth and surroundings. Avoid getting entangled in insignificant details or minor distractions. Instead, concentrate on the broader vision of change and address the most prominent opportunity or challenge that comes your way. It's a great time to examine any resistance you might have towards change and work on being adaptable. Embracing change proactively will put you ahead. Select a challenge that pushes you slightly beyond your comfort zone and dive into it. Once you commit, observe how the energy around your decision aligns to support you. If you encounter obstacles like fear, resistance, or overthinking, recognize them as part of the journey. The energy of this new moon urges us to move forward, so engage in your endeavors with assurance and without delay. Under this Virgo New Moon, we are encouraged to reconnect with our inner wisdom and cosmic energy. Virgo's influence, guided by Mercury, the planet of communication and introspection, asks us to explore the deeper layers of our consciousness. As Mercury emerges from its retrograde, we might still feel a sense of sluggishness or hesitation. Be gentle with yourself; this period of adjustment is a natural part of the rebirth process. New Moons mark the beginning of a fresh lunar cycle and signal a new chapter in our lives. They serve as a powerful reminder that it's always possible to start anew. This phase encourages us to clear the slate, shift our perspectives, and open ourselves to unexpected opportunities. As Mercury, Virgo's ruling planet, emerges from its retrograde period, we might still sense a lingering sluggishness under this New Moon. We may feel as though our progress is slow and that new beginnings seem just out of reach. Despite this, the New Moon stands as a guiding light, offering us clarity and inspiration. Embrace this moment with patience, and let it illuminate the path forward this month. Tune in to hear more! Thursday, 4 July 2024 The Book of Matthew; an Introduction – Part IIb The list of books of the Bible that match the corresponding chapters of the Book of Matthew continues here: ------------------------ *1 Samuel (9th book) contains the following – “As soon as you come into the city, you will surely find him before he goes up to the high place to eat. For the people will not eat until he comes, because he must bless the sacrifice; afterward those who are invited will eat. Now therefore, go up, for about this time you will find him” 1 Samuel 9:13. Matthew 9:13 says – “But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice.' For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.” *The fact that sacrifice is mentioned, in both paragraphs 9:13 shows a pattern by itself, but in a deeper parallel we see the following, again from 1 Samuel – “So Samuel said: ‘Has the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, As in obeying the voice of the LORD? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, And to heed than the fat of rams.'” 1 Samuel 15:22 Saul was first shown the importance of sacrifice in 1 Samuel 9, but he failed to make the distinction between mere sacrifice and the more important aspect of following the Lord. Jesus had to again teach this lesson to Israel's leaders in Matthew 9:13. ---------------------- *2 Samuel (10th book) says – “Now therefore, the sword shall never depart from your house, because you have despised Me, and have taken the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be your wife” 2 Samuel 12:10. Here's the parallel in Matthew – “...and ‘a man's enemies will be those of his own household” Matthew 10:36. ---------------------- *1 Kings (11th book) mentions Elijah for the first time in the Bible, and although Elijah is mentioned many times in Matthew, he is first introduced in Matthew 11:14. “And if you are willing to receive it, he is Elijah who is to come.” Interestingly, in 1 Kings 18:14, it says: “...Elijah is here.” Notice both occur in the 14th verse. *A second parallel in 1 Kings is this – “And he said to them, ‘What advice do you give? How should we answer this people who have spoken to me, saying, “Lighten the yoke which your father put on us”'?” 1 Kings 12:9 Now read Matthew 11:29 – “Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.” Notice not just the “yoke” parallel from the 11th book and the 11th chapter, but notice the numbers without the word “Kings” – 11:29 and 11:29 ----------------------- *2 Kings (12th book) describes the history of Israel as a divided kingdom, meaning Israel in the north and Judah in the south, each with its own kings and slowly divergent cultures. The chronology continues through the destruction of first the northern kingdom and culminates in the destruction and exile of the southern kingdom. Matthew 12:25 states the following – “But Jesus knew their thoughts, and said to them: ‘Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself will not stand.'” *A second link is found in 2 Kings 1:2 – “Now Ahaziah fell through the lattice of his upper room in Samaria, and was injured; so he sent messengers and said to them, ‘Go, inquire of Baal-Zebub, the god of Ekron, whether I shall recover from this injury.'” Now read Matthew 12:24 – “Now when the Pharisees heard it they said, ‘This fellow does not cast out demons except by Beelzebub, the ruler of the demons.'” *A third link is found in 2 Kings 11:5 – “Then he commanded them, saying, ‘This is what you shall do: One-third of you who come on duty on the Sabbath shall be keeping watch over the king's house…'” In Matthew 12:5 we read – “Or have you not read in the law that on the Sabbath the priests in the temple profane the Sabbath, and are blameless?” Notice the numerical pattern as both are in verse 5. It's interesting concerning the number of links in the books of Kings because Matthew's book details Jesus as Israel's King. ------------------------- *1 Chronicles (13th book) it says – “Moreover, because I have set my affection on the house of my God, I have given to the house of my God , over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house, my own special treasure of gold and silver” 1 Chronicles 29:3. Matthew 13:52 says – “Then He said to them, ‘Therefore every scribe instructed concerning the kingdom of heaven is like a householder who brings out of his treasure things new and old.'” ------------------------- *2 Chronicles 16:10 (14th book) says – “Then Asa was angry with the seer, and put him in prison, for he was enraged at him because of this. And Asa oppressed some of the people at that time.” The parallel is what King Herod did in Matthew 14:10, “So he sent and had John beheaded in prison.” Both occur in verse 10. Prophets of righteousness really had it tough. God bless them! --------------------- *Ezra (15th book) 3:5 discusses freewill offerings given to the glory of God – “Afterwards they offered the regular burnt offering, and those for New Moons and for all the appointed feasts of the LORD that were consecrated, and those of everyone who willingly offered a freewill offering to the LORD.” This is contrasted with the inappropriate gifts of the Pharisees in Matthew 15:5 – “But you say, ‘Whoever says to his father or mother, “Whatever profit you might have received from me is a gift to God”'” Matthew 15:5. Again, notice that the parallels are both contained in verse 5. ----------------------- *Nehemiah (16th book) is concerned primarily with the rebuilding of the walls and gates of Jerusalem after the exile. In fact, the entire 3rd chapter concerns the gate building. Nehemiah's efforts were not overcome by the forces of evil. Matthew 16:18 says – “And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.” ----------------------- *Esther (17th book) teaches us the importance of fasting to seek God's face and His favor, saying – “Go, gather all the Jews who are present in Shushan, and fast for me; neither eat nor drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will fast likewise. And so I will go to the king, which is against the law; and if I perish, I perish!” Esther 4:16 Matthew 17:20, 21 says – “So Jesus said to them, ‘Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, “Move from here to there,” and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. 21 However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.'” Life application: As noted in the previous life application, the book divisions, chapter divisions, and verse divisions in the Christian Bible did not exist at the time of Matthew. And yet, most honest Christian evaluators of the Bible would agree that these patterns are real and that they seem to point to more than just random chance. And yet, many of those same people will dismiss various doctrines that supposedly arose later in the church age. For example, dispensationalism is called everything from poor theology to outright heresy by some. Those scholars believe the church has replaced Israel and that the modern state of Israel is an aberration. They then attack those who originally proposed the doctrine of dispensationalism, saying that it is a new and aberrant teaching that only came into existence around the 1800s. But if dispensationalism is true, it doesn't matter when it was “discovered,” just as the dating of the discovery of these patterns in Matthew is irrelevant. But two points should be considered. The first is that many of those who dismiss dispensationalism because it is new teach doctrines that are only one or two hundred years older, such as Calvinism. In the span of the church age this is like the difference between children that are one and two years old. Thus, their thinking is biased, skewed, and flawed. Second, however, is that Paul taught the dispensational model in Romans 9-11. It is clearly revealed elsewhere explicitly, and it is typologically seen again and again in the Old Testament. A review of the sermons by the Superior Word from Genesis, Joshua, and Judges in particular clearly and unambiguously portray the dispensational model. Don't be swayed by people who have not thought through the entire panorama of what God is doing in and through chronological history. God has not rejected Israel! The church has not replaced Israel! And, finally, the modern state of Israel, even if it is not right with God at this time, is placed back in the land of Israel for the fulfillment of God's purposes, just as the dispensational model reveals. Lord God, though we are unfaithful, You are always faithful. You will never reject those with whom You have covenanted. And what a blessing it is to know this. Since the day we met Jesus, we have continued to err and stray. But He remains faithful to us every step of the way. Super-duper and Hooray! Praise God for Jesus, our faithful Lord. Amen.
Episode 44: Let's go over the major astrological transits of July!Straight from my notebook:2nd: Neptune Retrograde begins (5 month transit)Mercury in LeoNeptune retrograde is like reality checks, refiguring your dreams, coming across limits to how you've been thinking. Especially because Saturn is also in the same sign here. It's retrograding at 29 degrees and 59 minutes of Pisces which is the last minute of Pisces. Seems significantJuly 2-4: Mercury trine Neptune then opposite Pluto Confusing, powerful, delusional, forceful, deep feeling, assigning meaning to something immense that may not be trueJuly 5th: New Moon in CancerNot too bad, but having a new moon around a holiday in the U.S. will bring a sort of stillness to festivities that may not be what people want during a holiday. New Moons are great moments of reset. To get our bearings, take inventory, and set intentions for how we'd like to move forward. In Cancer, it could concern matters of the family, home, and responsibility.11th: Venus in Leo (opposite Pluto)Persephone…. Glamour… drama15th-16th: Mars Uranus conjunct in TaurusVolatile, erratic. Injury could happen. Unexpected events and actions from yourself and others and in the world in general. Volcano kind of energy.20th: Mars in GeminiThings speed up even more as we enter the center of summer.21st: Full Moon in CapricornSun trine Neptune exactlyMoon trine Mars and Pluto almost exactlyMercury square Uranus exactly Moon will move into Aquarius later in the day and conjunct Pluto. This isn't the easiest full moon of all time. There's a certain intensity here that seems bound to push everyone's buttons. There's an element of surprise in the air, and it's not a lighthearted one. There's also an air of delusional and fantasy that could make things even more dangerous. Use caution, keep it simple, and stay to the basics right now.22nd: Sun in Leo (opposite Pluto)Same aspects as full moon apply. This is out first Leo season with Pluto in Aquarius (where it will remain for the next 20 years). With Pluto opposite the sun it may not feel like Leo season will be heralded in with as much passion and joy as we're used to. There will be an intensity to this transition and the presence of Pluto will be felt. Pluto represents destruction, renewal, and power.25th: Mercury in VirgoMercury likes to be in Virgo and you may get a little extra in your head at this time. You may notice details you were missing prior.End of month: Mercury Rx about to startExpect delays, mishaps, and errors. Plan for the “worst”. Take extra time getting anywhere. If you've ever looked at your birth chart, it can be overwhelming with all the symbols, colors, and lines! And yet, everything on it has deep significance for us, including when we're on a healing journey.I've talked in many episodes about the Full Moons and New Moons in various signs. I've talked about the planets in various signs. But there's another layer that's specific to each person, and that's the areas of life represented by the astrological Houses. As always, I make this understandable and relatable for you. Each House represents a different area of life, and each one tells us something about ourselves based on the sign that's in the House, as well as the planets and other placements in each House, if any.If you'd like to schedule your Karmic Soul Reading, you can click here.I invite you to join me for the virtual 2024 Illumination Circle on January 25, 2024 where I'll guide you through a process to reflect on and release 2023, and create a map for the 2024 experiences your Soul desires. Get your eclipse glasses ready. The magical day we've been waiting for all year is tomorrow, Monday, April 8, when there will be a Total Solar Eclipse in Aries. During solar eclipses, the moon is directly between the Earth and Sun and the moon blocks out the sunlight. Solar Eclipses are supercharged, more intense New Moons that mark powerful new beginnings and start a brand-new chapter of our lives. A Total Solar Eclipse in Aries, the first sign of the Zodiac, is always an incredibly powerful event. This is the first New Moon of the Astrological year. We are kicking off this astrological year as if we're being shot out of a cannon. Aries is all about starting fresh, new beginnings, and renewal. It's a fire sign and this eclipse is lighting our inner fire, setting us on a new path that we hadn't ever imagined for ourselves. This eclipse is also conjunct Chiron. Chiron being activated with the eclipse helps us accept and forgive ourselves so we can move forward as our more powerful selves. This eclipse gives us the courage to face our fears about living our soul's purpose and step into the most alive, greatest version of ourselves. This eclipse also occurs near Mercury, which is currently retrograde. A solar eclipse that occurs while Mercury is retrograde gives us the chance to rethink and reprocess past experiences in order to let them go. It sheds light on what is holding us back. This Eclipse a big deal. It's been a while since we've experienced an Eclipse this strong. Right now, our bodies are being affected by an incredible amount of life-changing energy. This may show up as sleep issues, anxiety, restlessness, irritability, and sudden, intense emotions. We can think of this eclipse as a mini dark night of the soul, once we go through it, we're never the same! It shifts our consciousness. Eclipses are a wild ride, we have no idea of what's happening or where we're going. This is a powerful turning point. A whole new cycle is beginning. Have the courage to go for exactly what you want. It's a New Moon in Pisces this week. The common understanding of New Moons is that they're for setting intentions and planting seeds, but lunations are just as much an ending as they are a beginning. This week's New Moon feels like an ending, Exit Music (For A Film) if you're nasty. We also get into: the 11th hour dramatics of Mars squaring Uranus as Mercury enters Aries, and the anti-productivity of Mercury conjunct Neptune that defines this week.
