2025 Overview: Nodal Shift into Virgo / Pisces, Saturn & Neptune in Aries, Jupiter in Cancer, and Uranus in Gemini!

Pluto has just ensconced itself into Aquarius. For the duration Pluto will be in Aquarius all of 2025 during the early degrees of that sign.The first major astrological shift occurring in 2025 is on January 11th 2025, when the Nodes of the Moon switch into Virgo and Pisces. The South Node will be transiting Virgo and the North Node will be transiting Pisces until July 26, 2026. So tag Virgo and Pisces. You're it. Also, the nodes of the moon indicate where eclipses will fall. So during the eclipses of 2025, Virgo and Pisces you're going to be feeling it, so put on your seatbelt, get your remedies in order to weather the coming year.And those who are going to be most impacted by this Nodal Shift into the Virgo/Pisces axis are those born June 2006 - December 2007, who will be having their nodal return. So they're between 18 and 19 years old. Then the other group is December 1987 through May 1989. Those people will be between 36 and 37 years old, approximately April 1969 to November 1970. So they're between 55 to 56 years old. Then we have the group born July 1950 through March 1952, approximately 74 to 75 years old. This New Moon in Virgo closes the "eclipse window" that began major changes in the Virgo-Pisces axis this year—changes that have been developing for many years. Ketu brings these issues to the surface once more. If you have planets in Virgo or Pisces, you may have already noticed changes, as Ketu activated the eclipse degree in July. In October, Mercury and Mars continue this activation. When Mars influences an eclipse, it often brings something into our awareness forcefully. With the Sun, representing leadership, eclipsed by Ketu, the signifier of loss, we may see a leader facing challenges or stepping down. New York's mayor is one example of how Ketu can highlight past mistakes, and we may see more instances like this. New Moons, especially during eclipses, are not ideal for starting new projects. They are better for introspection and resetting before making practical decisions. The alignment of the Sun, Moon, Earth, and Lunar Nodes uncovers hidden aspects of life, especially in the areas of your chart related to Virgo. The eclipse occurs in the Hasta lunar mansion, which symbolizes skill, practicality, and manifestation, as well as manipulation in both positive and negative ways. Welcome back to AstroPod_Cast's weekly astrology report! We are a week into Libra Season as the Autumn Equinox occurred on September 22nd when the Virgo Sun ushered in cooler days, whereby opening the oceans to Hurricane season until the end of November. Hurricane Helene rode in on the 29th degree of the Cancer Moon as it opposed Pluto in Capricorn. This powerful cosmic message of release brought about massive destruction to the landscape as we know it. As the Leo Moon prepares to leave on Sunday, it will also bring dire flooding as it leaves to enter Virgo where clean up and assisting in healing/rebuilding will begin. By October 2nd, the New Super Libra Moon partial Eclipse will occur as a Ring of Fire lighting up our inner selves to deep dive into the fire to release the old that is dragging you down in dust! The water trine of Venus in Scorpio, Mars in Cancer, and Saturn in Pisces gather to support our inner growth with compassion and empathy for the self. Actions begin to align with the mind in order to heal the soul. By March of 2025, the cosmic shifts will bring opportunities to help with intuitive communication helping to align our lives with purpose. The summer has been a slow time for meditation and family values in preparation for the outer world 's chaotic negative violent tendencies. The South/North Nodes will leave Libra/Aries axis beginning next year and head into Virgo/Pisces axis for two years. This new moon is the last in Libra for 9/10 years making it extra important to get the messaging correct as this is a Cardinal Air sign of peace. Prepare for the new moon this Wednesday through planting intentions that will bear fruit at the Libra Full Moon in six months. Every month theres a new and full moon, but the Super Eclipses occurring now are more powerful than the average full moon due to its proximity to the Earth! The oceans can feel the pull of the Super Moon as it pulls on the tides and our emotions. Collectively we are all up leveling our minds and bodies. However, we must release the old ways of interacting with each other in order to progress the human race into the future. We just want to say up front, this is an especially good week to listen to the audio reading. There's so much going on and it's an eclipse week. A few hours later (11:34 am PDT), the Moon squares Jupiter at 19°20' Virgo-Gemini. Gridlock may ease, but energy could get scattered, or you may realize that you bitten off more than you can chew. [7:23] Venus conjoins the South Node as well today (4:58 pm PDT) at 06°39' Libra. Take a moment to appreciate everything you've learned from former relationships and your past financial missteps. [8:34] Pluto in Virgo was a relatively short generation, only 14 ½ years, Oct. 19, 1956-Oct. 4, 1971. Pluto retrograded into Leo between Jan. 14-Aug. 18, 1957 and between April 11-June 10, 1958. It also peeked into Libra between Oct. 4, 1971 and April 16, 1972, before leaving Virgo for good.   [9:11] In non-astrological terms, this generation is sometimes lumped in with the baby boomers. Pluto in Virgo native's developmental reference points were Watergate, the Reagan era and the AIDS crisis. They were the first generation that didn't remember life before television. Veteran astrologer and Mystical Messages host Hilary breaks down the cosmic events of September 2024.  On Day 1 of September, Powerful Pluto returns to Capricorn for its final pass in this responsible sign. The planetary bulldozer, Pluto in Capricorn suffers no fools, accepts no excuses and draws exact boundaries on the ledger of life.  Pluto in Capricorn allows for no blurry areas or gray zones.  It says you made your choices, now deal with the consequences.  September is as serious as it gets. The New Moon in analytical Virgo the very next day, on Monday, September 2nd, takes stock of where we stand and how to most effectively move forward.  Our health and well-being are paramount.  Control what you can and surrender everything else as this New Moon opposes Saturn in spiritual Pisces. The first of THREE eclipses kicks off with the Full Moon Lunar eclipse on Tuesday, September 17th, in Virgo-Pisces.  If you did not receive the message at the beginning of the month, this eclipse has your name on it:  surrender now.   This eclipse calls us to implement our divine inspirations.  Dream and then do.  Follow up your dreams with a detailed plan. The moon rules our emotions as well as the ocean tides.  So it is worth avoiding “getting swept away” by emotional tides, carried away without rhyme or reason.  To counter irrational thoughts or behaviors:  ground yourself.  The Sun (our will) and Messenger Mercury (our minds) are in earthy Virgo.  They remind us to rely on healthy routines and practices such as exercise, mindfulness and meditation, hobbies, and service to others to ground yourself and keep it real. The Sun turns into Libra on Sunday, September 22nd marking the Fall Equinox, while Valuable Venus shifts into Scorpio on the very same day.  In Scorpio, the planet of love, money and relationship knows what's up, whether she's dealing with a player or a truth teller.  she offers immense support to the otherwise indecisive Sun and Messenger Mercury which joins the Sun in Libra on Thursday, September 26th.   Scorpio Venus does deep research then informs Sun-Mercury which way to go, and long-term consequences benefitting your own best interests.  The caution here is canvassing every possible opinion, or being persuaded too easily by popular consensus rather than harkening to your own conscience and wisdom. As you approach key junctures, then, reserve quiet time to contemplate your heartfelt desires.  Libra energy often forgets and forsakes its own needs and agenda as it rushes to please others.  But Libra's purpose is to balance.  Balance your needs in equal measure to those around you.  The most difficult decisions often involvevoting for ourselves first.  Doing so, we risk alienating another. [3:50] This is the Last Quarter in a lunar phase family cycle (LPFC) that began at the May 30, 2022 New Moon, at 09º03' Gemini. The First Quarter in this cycle was on Feb. 27, 2023, the Full Moon on Nov. 27, 2023. [4:39] Void-of-Course (VOC) Moon Periods. On Aug. 28 (12:14 am PDT), the Moon in Gemini squares Neptune in Pisces. It's VOC for 1 1/2 hours, then enters Cancer (1:47 am PDT). Use both your feelings and logic to reach more well-rounded solutions. [5:45] On Aug. 30 (8:24 am PDT), the Moon in Cancer trines Neptune in Pisces, is VOC for 1 hour 45 minutes, then enters Leo (10:09 am PDT). Appreciate the coziness of your home and the routines that you really do value. [7:01] The Moon sextiles Mars on Sep. 1 (5:25 pm PDT). It's VOC for 3 hours and 23 minutes before it enters Virgo (8:48 pm PDT). Are you getting enough good socialization?  [8:04] On Aug. 27 (12:24 am PDT), Venus trines Uranus (27º14' Virgo-Taurus). Enjoy the unexpected, and find beauty in what's unusual. [9:37] Venus opposes Neptune (Aug. 28, 1:25 pm PDT, 29º08' Virgo-Pisces. There could be a sense of urgency surrounding a purchase, but it might be best to wait it out for a couple of days until the fog clears. [11:19] Also on Aug. 28 (2:14 pm PDT), Mercury stations to turn direct on the Sabian symbol, 22 Leo, A carrier pigeon. Open the flood gates and let those messages flow in. [13:27] Venus enters one of her home signs, Libra, on Aug. 29 (6:23 am PDT) through Sep. 21. What needS to be released to restore balance to our lives? [15:33] On Aug. 29 (7:32 am PDT), Venus trines Pluto at 00°03' Libra-Aquarius, emphasizing the power of beauty and of money. The Sabian symbol for Venus is 1 Libra, A butterfly made perfect by a dart through it. Venus-Pluto sees the beauty even in the things that are a little harsh.  [17:15] Uranus stations retrograde on Sep. 1 (8:18 am PDT, through Jan. 30, 2025). What makes you unconventional, unique? You might find, while Uranus is retrograde, that you're ready to make some changes. [18:52] Pluto enters Capricorn (Sep. 1, 4:57 pm PDT). Timestamps [1:26] Moon Report! The Aquarius Full Moon (Aug. 19, 11:26 AM PDT, 27°15' Aquarius) is in stressful aspect to Uranus, highlighting tension between individuals and the collective. Look to the Scorpio house in your chart for relief. [4:16] Specifically, the Sun's (Leo's ruler) square to Uranus (modern ruler of Aquarius) (Aug. 19, 9:45 am PDT) marks a time to let ourselves change, whether or not we want to. [6:45] As Venus opposes Saturn (Aug. 19, 1:29 am PDT, 17º29' Virgo-Pisces), relationships could get more serious and finances more stagnant. Try to move toward a more central and shared purpose. Venus-Saturn in aspect to Mars-Jupiter in Gemini. Tension, impatience and volatile tempers could factor into relational and financial matters at this time as well. Be mindful of your words. [8:56] Jupiter squares Saturn (Aug. 19, 2:46 pm PDT, 17°27' Gemini-Pisces), the first dynamic point in the Jupiter-Saturn cycle that in Dec. 2020. This is the first of three Jupiter-Saturn squares, with the second on Dec. 24, 2024, the last on June 15, 2025. Anxieties concerning inflation and the economy will be high. This week's Full Moon is part of a cycle that began at the Feb. 19, 2023 New Moon. The First Quarter action point in this cycle was on Nov. 20, 2023, and the Last Quarter is on May 20, 2025. [13:15] Void-of-Course (VOC) Moon periods. On Aug. 19 (11:26 am PDT), the Moon opposes the Sun (the Aquarius Full Moon). The Moon is VOC for 4 hours, 26 minutes before entering Pisces (3:51 pm PDT). Reflect on what you want for yourself and how that impacts your contribution to others. [14:23] On Aug. 21 (2:53 pm PDT), the Moon conjoins Neptune, is VOC for one hour and nine minutes, then enters Aries (4:01 pm PDT). Initiate better boundaries. Merge with Neptune by swimming, being near the water, soaking in a tub. Hydrate! [16:26] On Aug. 23 (5:44 am PDT), the Moon trines Mercury, is VOC for 11 ¼ hours, then enters Taurus (5 pm PDT). If you quarreled with somebody during that Aquarius Full Moon, clear the air and reconcile. [17:19] On Aug. 25 (6:40 pm PDT), the Moon sextiles Neptune; it's VOC for 1 hour and 23 minutes, then enters Gemini (8:03 pm PDT). If you've avoided expressing your feelings, or are easily overwhelmed by them, form routines that help you manage those feelings. [19:06] On Aug. 22 (7:55 am PDT) the Sun enters Virgo, until Sep. 22, 2024. Take this opportunity to get medical checkups for yourself and your pets. Deep-clean your home and garden. Last week Mars and Venus met up with Pluto in Aquarius to get their marching instructions for the next 19 years ~ at least the launch of the Pluto in Aquarius cycle. This week, the heavens calm down a bit.  Not many aspects in the heavens.  We have big solar flares so our insides will be feeling intense. There is a full moon in Virgo/Pisces at 5:23.  Think back to August 27 for the new Moon in Virgo at 4:03, The May 27, 2024 opening quarter with the Sun in Gemini and the Moon in Virgo at 6:05 to see the next step in taking action.  Now at the full moon we see in clear light the next chapter.  The closing square November 22 at 1:14 for the Sun in Sagittairus and Moon in Virgo.  Expand into the light. Venus and Mars, loaded up with information from their conjunction last week with Pluto, get married this week to launch a new cycle of connection and relationships. Finally, Venus in Aquarius squares Jupiter in Taurus pushing us to consciously take action, including all our recent learning.  Make wise choices.  Choose joy!
