God calls us to live with a “Joshua kind of faith”—bold, confident, and ready to step into the life mission He’s prepared for us. Here is the start of this powerful series as we learn how to be equipped, strengthened, and ready to move forward in faith! Discussion Questions: In verses 1–5, what do you notice about how God reassures Joshua after Moses’ death? What does this teach us about God’s faithfulness to continue His work? God repeats the command “be strong and courageous” several times in this passage (vv. 6, 7, 9). What situations is Joshua facing that make that command so necessary? What do we learn from this about the kind of courage God calls His people to? Verses 7–8 emphasize obeying God’s Word as central to Joshua’s success. What stands out to you about the relationship between strength, courage, and obedience here? How does meditation on God’s Word strengthen faith and courage? In verse 9, God promises His presence wherever Joshua goes. How does that truth shape the way we face uncertainty or new challenges in our own lives today? God promises Joshua, “I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you.” How does that promise find its ultimate fulfillment in Jesus’ words in Matthew 28:20, “I am with you always”? How does that shape the way we follow Him today?

Send us a textFrom Mount Nebo, Moses blesses the tribes and says goodbye as Joshua becomes Israel's new leader. God tells Joshua to be strong and brave and to lead the people across the flooded Jordan. When the priests carry the Ark of the Covenant and step into the water, the river stops and everyone walks across on dry ground. Joshua sets up twelve stones as a reminder of God's miracle. In their new land, Israel celebrates Passover, eats Canaan's food, and the manna stops. A faith-building story about trusting God and remembering His answers to prayer. What is your assignment for this season? This weekend Pastor Steve started a new series from the book of Joshua called NEW GROUND, with a message about being courageous in the face of uncertainty.Joshua 1:5-6As I was with Moses, so I will be with you; I will never leave you nor forsake you. Be strong and courageous, because you will lead these people to inherit the land I swore to their ancestors to give them.Joshua had trained in Moses' shadow for 40 years, and now his assignment was to lead the people of Israel to new ground. Though he would never bring water from a rock or call down bread from heaven, God promised Joshua he would be with him as He had been with Moses.1) YOU GET HIS PRESENCE.God's presence is the difference-maker in every area. It rids us of pride, fear and cynicism, and it fills us with peace in the face of challenges.2) YOU GET A PROCESS.The process is the ordinary work of practicing faithfulness at home, at work and in relationships. You can't copy someone else's process any more than you can copy another person's friendship! You get His presence and a process, so BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS!

Prayer Tuesday! Episode 32 of Masquerade of Motherhood Anyone else feeling a little teary eyed anticipating the end of school? This year we have not one but TWO graduates, I sure didn't think that one through. We are sending one off to college, though he is #5 it isn't any easier. And one into the real world of adulthood, job, bills, benefits and all. My prayer today is from Joshua 1:9 "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” For context this is a commandment just as the Israelites, led by Joshua, are about to cross the Jordan River. They are launching into unfamiliar territory just like our kids are doing. In verse 9, this is the third time God says to Joshua, BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS! Above all else as you prepare to enter a new territory, do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go! This is a great reminder for Mommas who are having to let go, and for our kids to know that God is with them as they cross on to the next phase of life. God delivers on all of His promises but we have a responsibility to do our part. God may have something for us but there are times when we have the responsibility to take a "leap of faith". Join us this week as we begin a new series on the book of Joshua called, "Be Strong And Courageous.
Hey fellow Journeyers! I am so glad you have joined us this week for the journey. We just wound up our journey through Luke and Acts last week and are preparing to launch Season 3 of the Living Unleashed Podcast on April 15th! For these two weeks, we are doing Bonus Replay podcasts. I am selecting 10 of my favorite episodes from Season One to replay. This will give you a chance to listen in to some of the early episodes that you might have missed. Today's episode is entitled “Be Strong And Courageous”. God is with you and He is all you need. Hope you enjoy. Keep on Living Unleashed! Jeremy
