Visit The Website: https://herewiththemagic.com Watch Here: https://www.youtube.com/HereWithTheMagic Connect on Social Media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/herewiththemagic Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/herewiththemagic/ -- When General Electric approached Walt Disney to create an imaginative, immersive attraction for the 1964 New York World's Fair, they lit of a spark of inspiration that still burns bright to this day. Everything about his “Progressland” pavilion was revolutionary and one-of-a-kind. From the clockwise rotating theater to the advanced Audio Animatronics and the original song composed by the incomparable Sherman Brothers, it was an experience entirely unique to this venue of dreamers and innovators. Thousands of people came, saw, and were mesmerized by Walt Disney's “Progressland,” but even he could have had no idea at the time just how treasured and beloved his show would become in the decades that followed. Known today as Walt Disney's “Carousel of Progress,” this rotating spectacle of American innovation has taken up permanent residence at Walt Disney World, inside Tomorrowland at the Magic Kingdom. A tribute to Walt's quintessential enterprise and ambition, this attraction remains a space of nostalgia, warmth, comfort and connection to the Disney that once was, and a place to remember the leaps and bounds of progress that have brought us all to where we are today. Once a temporary draw for summertime tourists in mid-century America, this truly timeless experience is a celebration of possibility and a testament to the power of genuine curiosity. It is a tangible and observable manifestation of the ideals of the young and the young at heart, the dreamers and the doers; we who avidly seek joy in new discoveries and work toward a great, big, beautiful tomorrow. And so we invite you to join us as we take our seats in this iconic revolving theater - the show is about to begin!
Progress! A word that has come to mean a great many things, but for the theater nestled inside the walls of Tomorrowland, Progress means a constantly changing, growing, and evolving series of attractions housed in the same building! If there is a closer connection to Walt Disney in a Walt Disney World Attraction, I sure can't think of it. Not only does the Carousel of Progress bear his name, but it's also the only attraction in Florida with Walt in the preshow. I included the famous clip from Disneyland Goes to the World's Fair as the introduction. Then it's a first-person trip on the rotating theater and audio-animatronic stage show attraction, as it appears in 2019 at Walt Disney World in Florida. The original attraction was created for the 1964 New York World's Fair. After the World's Fair, the attraction was relocated to Disneyland, and in 1973 it was relocated to Walt Disney World as part of the Tomorrowland expansion, which included the addition of Space Mountain in 1975. There's a great big, beautiful tomorrow shining at the end of every day!! Just kidding, everything is horrible and getting worse as we outline in this 3rd episode of Florida Sucks. From our record-breaking viral outbreak, to a potential record-breaking heatwave, to a family of Floridian grifters finally busted for selling a fake and dangerous COVID-19 cure. Oh yeah, and Disneyworld opened up to the public on the same day Florida set the record for the highest single-day number of coronavirus cases.
In our first 2-Part Episode originally intended as a book report, Chris and **** trip into a lesser-discussed aspect of their lives - their childhoods as collectors. What ensues is a cosmic journey from Beanie Babies, to Pokemon, to Crazy Bones, to the horniest ride at Disney World: The Carousel of Progress.
