In November of 2023, Diamond's sister company InnovaScript became the official pharmacy partner to the Victoria's Voice Foundation, a non-profit drug education and addiction prevention support organization founded in memory of Victoria Siegel, a young woman who tragically lost her life to an accidental drug overdose. At the heart of this new partnership is the #GetGiveSave campaign, a national effort to increase the access to and the awareness of naloxone. On this episode, we welcome Mark Cady-Archilla, corporate partnerships director for the Victoria's Voice Foundation; Jason Baker, director of strategic initiatives for Diamond; and Chris Bender, pharmacist with Diamond's OPTICS team for a deeper discussion of this partnership and what it's doing to put naloxone in more lifesaving locations. Along the way, Mark gives us a greater introduction to Victoria's Voice (and shares his deeply personal connection to the foundation's work), we recap the efficacy and life-saving simplicity of naloxone, and we discuss the barriers of naloxone stigma and access, among many other areas of discussion. It's a longer conversation, but there's no shortage of powerful moments to be heard. This week the boys are back in Vegas with Kelli, Kara and Ryan from Drunk Theory. Drunk Theory are self billed as a bunch of idiots, drinking and talking about conspiracies. Join them weekly to learn about Crypids, Murders and general drunken nonsense. The Hangover is a 2009 American comedy film directed by Todd Phillips, co-produced with Daniel Goldberg, and written by Jon Lucas and Scott Moore. It is the first installment in The Hangover trilogy. The film stars Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zach Galifianakis, Heather Graham, Justin Bartha, Ken Jeong, and Jeffrey Tambor. It tells the story of Phil Wenneck, Stu Price, Alan Garner, and Doug Billings, who travel to Las Vegas for a bachelor party to celebrate Doug's impending marriage. However, Phil, Stu, and Alan wake up with Doug missing and no memory of the previous night's events, and must find the groom before the wedding can take place. Lucas and Moore wrote the script after executive producer Chris Bender's friend disappeared and had a large bill after being sent to a strip club. After Lucas and Moore sold it to the studio for $2 million, Phillips and Jeremy Garelick rewrote the script to include a tiger as well as a subplot involving a baby and a police cruiser, and also including boxer Mike Tyson. Filming took place in Nevada for 15 days, and during filming, the three main actors (Cooper, Helms, and Galifianakis) formed a real friendship. The Hangover was released on June 5, 2009,[4] and was a critical and commercial success. The film became the tenth-highest-grossing film of 2009, with a worldwide gross of over $467 million. The film won the Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, and received multiple other accolades. It is the highest-grossing R-rated comedy ever in the United States at the time (before its sequel broke the record), surpassing a record previously held by Beverly Hills Cop for almost 25 years.[5] --- Join us on the Socials: Twitter Instagram Facebook Support the show (Buy me a Coffee)

Frequent contributor Chris Bender from the Diamond Drug Information Center is back - again- this time to talk about treating asthma in the correctional setting. According to a 2015 report from the US Department of Justice, the prevalence of asthma among correctional patient population was 15-20%, compared to just 10% among the general population. It should be no surprise then that Chris and his Drug Info Center colleagues field many asthma questions from providers. Because of this, and because major asthma treatment guidelines have been updated in the past few years, Chris felt asthma would be a timely presentation topic for this year’s Spring NCCHC Conference- and ultimately, this podcast. Chris treats us to a broad overview of asthma symptoms and therapies, before taking us deeper into the treatment issues found in jails and prisons. Along the way, we also talk about the relationship between asthma and COPD and what effect COVID-19 has had on asthma management. Along the way we also talk about the prescription cascade, deprescribing, and managing polypharmacy in corrections and long-term care settings. My guest had an encounter one day, where he looked up, and a spirit was moving through the house, right before his eyes. Of course this prompted a response of prayer and spiritual warfare as he was lead by the Holy Spirit. Seeing in the Spirit implies vision. With vision, we see. But really, seeing is just one side of the coin, the other side being hearing, by the Spirit. Seeing and Hearing boil down to the same thing. It's all about receiving revelation from God. God said, "Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the Father's mouth." We are called to live from his word to us. This word is revealed through the holy scriptures, the Bible. It's revealed to our spirits, through hearing and seeing. Some get revelation via a sense of it, or a hunch. Some see and hear, smell and feel. Most of us operate in multiple ways of understanding revelation. Regardless of how God's word comes to you, this idea of seeing in the spirit, is key to our being able to understand God's will in heaven and bring it into the earth. It's what we were made for. It's who we are. Join us as we begin to unwrap some of the stories of demonic and angelic encounters experienced by both guest and host, and revelations that helped unlock understanding into our position in Christ and standing as spiritual beings in our Father's kingdom. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/jim-vince/message

Vaccines are one of the greatest success stories in all of medical history. As the World Health Organization points out, there are now vaccines to protect us from over 20 potentially deadly diseases. Vaccination saves 2-3 million lives each year from diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis, influenza and measles, to name but a few. And now as the world comes to grips with a historic pandemic, the anticipation to add COVID-19 to that list of diseases is top of mind for the medical community. On this episode, we welcome back Chris Bender, Pharm. D. In his 100th episode - Todd chats with CHRIS BENDER about the development of MULAN - how the COVID pandemic has affected the release date - and how movie theaters can be more creative going forward!
We have a moment of real talk about a hard day in radio yesterday. Dub survived a hornet attack, but has several boo-boos to show for it. Cash has finally discovered something manly that he has, that Chris Bender doesn't, and it's turning into a big case of pressure washer envy. Movies are going to start using CGI special effects to create sex scenes, in order to limit close contact between real people.
First, it happened to Jenny; then, it was Cash's turn...now, Dub has become the latest attendee of the Chris Bender school of man stuff and learned how to change a tire. Dub & Kelsey got to meet Baby Olive over the weekend, and now her baby fever is THROUGH THE ROOF.
Celebrity Underrated chronicles the lives and deaths of entertainers, sports figures, world leaders, and others both famous and infamous. The channel highlights their background and upbringing, their rise to fame, their trials and tribulations, and the often mysterious circumstances surrounding the death of the deceased.
No matter who is doing it, the illicit transfer and misuse of medications is an issue that greatly threatens the safety of both patients and healthcare providers. Chris Bender and Erica Gray of the Diamond Drug Information center join us to discuss drug diversion across institutional care settings and what providers can do to defend against it. In the first segment, we define drug diversion and get a truly eye-opening look at the ways both prescription and OTC medications can be diverted in the correctional setting. And in the second segment, we talk about diversion among healthcare workers and the resources that facilities can use to build a strong diversion prevention program. In this episode of the Individual Animal, we dive deep into the process of shelter transports. We talk about how to get the process rolling, why it's safer than you might think it is, and why it's good for dogs and people. A few months back, we did an episode of the Individual Animal where we spoke with Chris Bender about his experiences doing shelter transports. The response to that was mixed, with some people commenting that it was life-saving for the animals in their shelter and others commenting that transporting meant that dogs at the destination were going to suffer at the expense of the transport dogs. Others made the wild and unsubstantiated claim that shelter transport within the U.S. caused diseases to spread. Within the group of organizations who do transport dogs from other communities, there are a subset that do not transport “pit bull” dogs. This is because they follow the self-fulfilling prophecy that there's a “pit bull” problem or worse, that they subscribe to Roger Haston's belief that “these are the dogs nobody wants.” What Sasha Wilkerson and the rest of the great folks at the Lenawee Humane Society found is the simple truth that transporting dogs from one community to another saves lives. It's good for dogs and it's good for adopters. It's also good to step outside of your own community and find out what reality is like for other communities who might not have your resources.
In his final episode - Todd brings on his pal and head of Good Fear Management CHRIS BENDER to talk about the daily fears of producing movies in Hollywood and how to overcome them.
In this episode, we speak with Chris Bender, Pharm. D. about medication assisted treatment (MAT) of opioid addiction. Chris guides us through the clinical, controversial, and corrections-focused aspects of MAT. If you don't know methadone from suboxone, you'll want to listen. Chris Bender, Pharm. D. is a pharmacist with the Diamond Drug Information Center. We know lots of people have opinions on transporting dogs from southern states up north, well, Nikki has a lot of opinions too and she shares them on this episode of the Individual Animal. Chris Bender, the former Adoption and Shelter Manager from the Dutchess County SPCA, chimes in with his experiences, as does AFF's Executive Director, Stacey Coleman. There are some organizations that will not transport dogs labeled "pit bull." As you can imagine, this does not sit well with us. Arbitrarily labeling dogs plays a huge role in preventing good dogs from going home. We saw this in South Carolina a few weeks ago. This arbitrary labeling is what leads to the fallacy that shelters have a "pit bull" problem. Many shelters in the south have bigger hurdles to overcome when it comes to the number of dogs in their shelters than in northern shelters. The more shelters work together through transport, the more dogs that get to go home. Transport saves lives and we need to have real conversations about why some shelters refuse to transport some dogs, regardless of their personality and whether or not they are good dogs.
19-year-old Chris Bender made it big in 1991 with his 2nd album Draped. The 1st album of a $500,000, 7-album record deal with EastWest Records. Six months later he was tragically gunned down outside of his mother's house. With his death, many speculated that his murder was due to a jilted lover. At the time his single Who Will I Choose, a song about choosing between two lovers was in heavy rotation on radio stations across the country and many believed one of the women he sang about killed him. In this episode, Shana is joined by Denise and they discussed, Chris Bender's first album, past run-ins with the law and of course all the amazing songs. --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/216jamz/support
