Bling Empire is back with a vengeance! Your favorite blinged out cast members are back for season 3 and do not skip a beat. Chris and Lauren recap the drama-filled season, diving into the Christine and Anna drama, Kane's propensity for creating drama, and Kevin's search for his biological parents. Then, the hosts sit down for exclusive interviews with Anna, Christine, Kane and Kelly, to discuss the current state of their relationships, how they felt watching some of the key scenes back, and lots more. Send all of your burning questions, either as an email or selfie video to receipts@kastmedia.com. Or, leave us a voicemail at https://www.speakpipe.com/receipts. Amanda travels the United States but is not allowed to have friends as a kid, both outside OR inside of the cult of Jehovah's Witnesses. Amanda isn't home schooled to further her isolation but is sent to school because her dad teaches. Amanda can't play sports at school but her dad coaches some of them. Amanda's dad screams and even gets physical but everyone outside of the home sees a different side of him and loves him. Amanda is forced to hide her body with oversized clothes yet is called a slut at home. And when Amanda is starting to get in trouble with the cult as an adult, her dad does something that is perhaps the most confusing in a life of contradictions. The song that she chose to represent her journey is Conqueror by the Empire Cast. Kelly Mi Li steps Behind The Rope. Bling Empire's Kelly Mi Li that is. Kelly is here to spill the tea on all that is Season Two. Kelly chats about how this was such a different and lighter season now that she is single, what she learned from her last relationship and is ideally looking for in a partner. Of course we break down all of the drama - the ongoing feud between Anna Shay and Christine Chiu, the will they or won't they of Kim and Kevin, lie detectors, empty threats and the disappearance of one Cherie Chan and Jessey Lee. Kelly chats new cast members Dorothy Wang and Mimi Morris - who fits in better, will Dorthy and Kane ever get along and more. Since this is Bling Empire we break down just how rich are these cast members. Yea, we went there. Finally, we break down the final scene when Kelly's ex Andrew returns (spoiler alert), how shocked was she and just what does this mean for Season Three of this show which gets better with every watch. @kellymili @behindvelvetrope @davidyontef BONUS & AD FREE EPISODES Available at - www.patreon.com/behindthevelvetrope BROUGHT TO YOU BY: RADIX REMEDIES - www.radixremedies.com (15% off Plus Free Shipping On Orders Over $35. This is the latest episode of the syndicated FuseBox Radio Broadcast with DJ Fusion & Ausar Ra Black Hawk for the week of Dec. 31, 2015 [flashback episode due to the holiday season; originally broadcast on the week of June 17, 2015] with some new and classic music from the international Black Diaspora, news and commentary. This week's radio show breakdown (by minutes/hours): 0:00 - 1:31:11 Introduction & Extended Commentary 1:31:12 - 2:58:19 DJ Fusion Mix ** NOTE: THIS IS THE FIRST TIME WE'VE EVER DONE A TOTALLY EXPLICIT COMMENTARY FOR THIS WEEK'S RADIO SHOW IN REGARDS TO LANGUAGE DUE TO THE INSANITY OF THE RECENT NEWS CYCLE. ** The commentary during that week touched base on the role of independent Black American media and our views as a whole during what really felt like a past few days of utterly “Black Bodies and Minds Aren’t REALLY Treasured by damned near anyone” news, including the upcoming savage displacement of Blacks of Haitian descent in the Dominican Republic, the utterly boneheaded responses from folks of all backgrounds to the blackface act of Rachel Dolezel (and pretty much being told that “blackness” can be put on like a hat when convenient as long as you’re white and should be an honor as long as people are “down for the cause”), more situations of blatant discrimination against young Black children in the U.S. and the horrendous act of domestic terrorism in Charleston, SC at the Emanuel African Methodist Episcopal Church. We also talked about a few popular culture things to round off the show's talk segment, including the upcoming Janet Jackson tour and her career as a whole through the years. There was no Black Agenda Report news mini-segment on this week's episode due to our long commentary.
