The agreement must outline the exact amount or rate of compensation to be received or provide a method for determining this amount. However, the compensation must be "objectively ascertainable" and cannot be left open-ended. For instance, stating "buyer broker compensation shall be whatever amount the seller is offering to the buyer" is not permissible under the settlement terms. (Don't be lazy and try to use this as a catch-all phrase). It won't fly. HUGE Announcement: You will love this! Looking for the full outline from today's presentation? Our DAILY Newsletter featured lead generation systems, real estate scripts, daily success plans and (YES) the notes or today's show. Best part? The newsletter is free! https://harrisrealestatedaily.com/ Furthermore, the settlement stipulates that the compensation received by an agent or broker for brokerage services cannot exceed the agreed-upon amount or rate outlined in the buyer agreement. This means that if your agreement specifies that you're charging $1500 flat fee, but the listing your buyer wants has a 3% buyer commission included, you still make just the $1500. REAL ESTATE LEADS, LEADS and more LEADS: Question: What is Tim and Julie Harris's favorite PROBATE LEAD PROVIDER? Simple, alltheleads.com/harris It's important to note that brokerages are not restricted to having only one agreement with a buyer. The Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section clarifies that NAR policy does not dictate the components of a contract. Pay attention to what's being required and make sure you're compliant. 8.  What should you do NOW in anticipation of these requirements? -Join Premier Coaching so you can have (and use) a BUYER PRESENTATION which results in a signed agreement with your buyer clients. -Be able to articulate your value with confidence, showing specific unique selling propositions and offer much more than a buyer can find on their own using online resources. -Remember that knowledge = confidence and ignorance = fear, so stay informed, stay motivated, and get into action!

Chris Parker is the founder of WhatIsMyIPaddress.com, the number one IP address lookup website. Chris started the website in January 2000 and for the first five years his revenue didn't even cover his internet bill. In 2014, Chris was laid off from his corporate job and was faced with the scary opportunity to make his website a full-time business. Chris Parker Vroom Veer Stories Grew up in Tustin California and has lived within a 10 mile radius of home his whole life Went to Cal State Fullerton for about a year; not a great student--then attend the local community college for more years he wants to disclose; quit school when he realized his part time job was paying more than the what college grads were earning Worked in sales for a company called "Club Mac" selling Macintosh computers via a mail order catalog and in-person; not a great salesman; was talking people into buying cheaper computers Worked on IT and web stuff near the birth of the internet for Club Mac; at that time there wasn't an easy way to figure out your public IP address He build a server out of spare parts and set it up in his house to run the first version of WhatismyIPaddress.com.  No graphics, it just returned the IP address. At some point he was getting alerts telling him the harddrive was nearly full; the traffic logs were building up Verion .1:  He offered to answer questions via email; he just the email traffic to generate a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) list A few years later Google Adsense call along; and decided to throw up a banner ad and it made a little bit of money; neat! Warning!  Geek Content!:  The server ran in Chris's house from pre-google time until 2014; he had a half rack server with UPS's in case of power outage and a very high electric bill trying to keep the house under 90 degrees and he was spending way too much money paying for internet bandwidth His wife points out that it might not be the best idea to have all the business assets in their house; a break in would effectively kill the business Strange as it sounds there were about six co-location facilities in Tustin within 1 mile of his house; bring your server there and plug it into their facility and you rent power, bandwidth, HVAC, and security. In 2014 he was selling life insurance online; the economy tanked and people were getting laid off work; Chris was asked to transition from full to part time Went back to full time for a while; but eventually he was let go entirely; Should I get a job or work full time on the website business? They experimented with working on the business for six months; which made enough to keep going---he has now replaced his job income with the business revenue Version .2 of the website, no graphics, bar on top, bar on bottom and a wall of text Version .3 he hired a graphic designer to make the site look much better GRAPHICS! Version .4 hired a couple of content writers to create blog content related to online security and internet privacy How important it is to use a VPN (virtual private network) to secure your internet connection; most businesses out there don't know how to secure their network and the ones that do are breached all the time On a trip to Taiwan from Sinapore his wife gets sick; in the airport in Taiwan there was a medical station using an infrared "fever detector" to find sick people and put them in quarantine; Chris noticed in time to put himself the detector and his wife and they made through Barf bag of the month club for dog owners who get queasy when picking up dog poo; start collecting those barf bags from airplanes You can verify that your VPN is working on Chris's site; you can also verify the country of an IP address; helpful to verify an internet order before you ship Chris Parker Connections Website - WhatismyIPAddress.com

Scottish National Users' Group (SNUG) Podcast

And then there was one…. EMIS Health shared the disappointing news this week that they are unable to meet the timelines of the Scottish Framework for GP IT Re-provisioning, and as a result, have made the decision to withdraw. This will leave Vision as the only accredited GP system for Scotland. A Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document regarding EMIS' exit from the Framework has been created and issued to health boards. The NSS GP IT website (NHS net only) will also be updated to reflect the changes announced. If you have a specific question about EMIS, please contact your local Facilitator Lead or eHealth team, or contact the programme team at nss.gpitre-provisioning-scotland@nhs.scot. In this edition of the SNUG podcast, Drs Andrew McElhinney and Neil Kelly discuss the implications of the news for Scottish GP practices, and manage to come to a reasonably positive conclusion, while accepting that it will take a massive amount of work by boards and practices to manage a system migration for more than half of Scottish GP IT Users over the next couple of years. Hi, everyone! I am Georgiana, your English teacher and founder of speakenglishpodcast.com. My mission is to help you speak English fluently. This week is a bit special. All my premium courses have a 60% discount. I've received several messages with questions about the courses. I will try to answer some frequently asked questions in this short episode. By the way, you can get the offer at: speakenglishpodcast.com/courses Hurry up because the offer is only available until this Sunday at midnight. Let's start with the most frequently asked question:    1) What is the difference between the podcast and the premium courses? That's a great question! In the podcast, I talk about very diverse topics to improve your vocabulary. It's a great listening practice.  I also give a small example of a lesson in each podcast episode. It can be a mini-story of questions and answers or a point of view. Because of time limitations, I can barely develop these lessons, yet they allow you to test the method that I use in my premium courses in an easy and fun way. Instead, the premium courses are complete programs designed to improve your spoken English dramatically. These are conversation courses.  You start speaking from DAY ONE with the conversation simulator. They are audio lessons that "simulate" conversations. I call them Q&A mini-stories. Unlike the podcast, the premium courses contain hours and hours of questions and answers. Imagine for a moment a podcast episode, but multiplied by 100. Also, the courses allow you to work much better on grammar aspects such as the plural, singular, all kinds of verb tenses, and certain common expressions of English. All of this unfolds in an interactive way, following one or more stories that provide a rich and entertaining context. For example, the Fluency Course (level II) contains more than 8 hours of audio with thousands of questions and answers (mini-stories) and almost 200 pages of transcription text. Of course, there are also many point of view lessons that allow you to work very intensely on aspects of grammar. One rule I always follow is to create lessons with complex characters and funny stories with unexpected endings. That way you'll never forget what you learn best and, of course, it's a lot more fun. Another question: 2) Can I use the premium courses on the iPhone, iPad, Android and so on? Yes, of course. You can use them without problems. It is important to keep in mind that the courses are not apps. That is, you don't install them. It's much more flexible. The courses consist of mp3 audio and text (PDF). This is much simpler and prevents technical problems. Transferring the content to any device is quite easy. However, when you buy one of the courses, I send you detailed steps to know what to do. In any case, you can contact me by e-mail with any questions.  3) Is there a monthly payment for the premium courses? No, there is no such thing. They are yours for personal use and forever when you buy the courses.    Get the transcript on my website: https://speakenglishpodcast.com/podcast

See what I did there? FAQ’s…as in “frequently asked questions,” but when said aloud it also sounds like “facts,” as in “the truth.” Eh? Eh?The last year has been maddening and riddled with endless misinformation combined with a lack of understanding and an unwillingness to find actual facts and truth. Logic, common sense, and critical thinking are extinct; and none of what we’ve already experienced compares to the shit-show we’re all about to live vis a vis the Covid-19 vaccine.I have incredibly intelligent, well-informed friends who are walking around believing and repeating total falsehoods about the vaccine. I’m not talking about whacko anti-vaxxers…I’m talking about people who are literally contradicting known science and everything that is being said, published, and written. This isn’t like the mask debate; it’s worse. Much, much worse.Part of the blame, like usual, lies at the feet of the inept federal government and their total inability to formulate coherent policy statements, but most of it is our fault. Willful stupidity and ignorance on the part of the America public will make 2021 worse than 2020. You heard it here first. So, let’s begin with the Frequently Asked Questions…FAQ’s…get it? My answers are as objective as I can possibly be and supported by numerous links to various articles and posts from both the media and the CDC. Enjoy.IF I’VE BEEN VACCINATED, IS IT SAFE FOR ME TO BE AROUND UNVACCINATED PEOPLE?That depends on your definition of “safe.” YOU are safe. If you believe the reported science, the vaccine protects you from symptoms of the virus. If you are exposed to Covid, the vaccine will make sure that you don’t exhibit or feel symptoms. Someone who has tested positive for Covid-19 could sneeze in your face and you’ll be fine…others, however, won’t. This is where your personal morality comes into play. Once vaccinated, you’re immune, but you’re still able to spread the virus if you contract it. The vaccine doesn’t prevent you from getting the virus, it prevents you from getting sick from it. You’re still contagious to non-vaccinated people. So, you decide; are you your brother’s keeper, or is that everyone else’s problem? https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/facts.htmlhttps://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/coronavirus/expert-answers/visits-after-covid-19-vaccination/faq-20506463https://www.nbcnews.com/health/health-news/it-safe-visit-grandparents-after-getting-covid-vaccine-n1257920IF I’VE BEEN VACCINATED, ARE OTHER PEOPLE SAFE AROUND ME?Absolutely not. Unless and until herd immunity is reached and the virus becomes weak to the equivalent of the common cold, your vaccination is completely and totally irrelevant to anyone else. This is why it’s lunacy for people to claim that because their husband has been vaccinated, the family is safe. Conversely, vaccinated people demanding that they will only congregate with other people who have bene vaccinated is equally asinine and ignorant. https://www.nbcnews.com/health/health-news/it-safe-visit-grandparents-after-getting-covid-vaccine-n1257920WHY AM I BEING TOLD I STILL HAVE TO WEAR A MASK AFTER I’VE BEEN FULLY VACCINATED? See previous answers. Getting vaccinated ONLY protects you (until enough people have done so and we achieve herd immunity). The vaccine merely wards off all symptoms of the virus. You can get infected, but won’t feel the effects of it. However, you still have the virus and can spread it. Whether or not you wearing a mask stops the spread is a debate long since passed…https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/faq.htmlhttps://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2021/01/12/956051995/why-you-should-still-wear-a-mask-and-avoid-crowds-after-getting-the-covid-19-vacWHAT IS THIS I AM HEARING ABOUT THE VACCINE ONLY BEING GOOD FOR 3 MONTHS? This is not quite fake news, but it’s close. Everyone is forgetting that we’ve been living with this virus for less than a year, thus we only know what we know. We’ve had the vaccines for about 90 days, so do the math. We know that the vaccine provides antibodies for at least 3 months. There’s no indication that we’re all going to have to get shots every quarter of every year. Multiple experts have said that based on what we know about the human body and its’ history with viruses, it is very likely that the immune system will remember the virus if re-exposed later on, and then produce new antibodies.https://medicalxpress.com/news/2020-12-moderna-vaccine-confers-months-immunity.html#:~:text=The%20Moderna%20COVID%2D19%20vaccine,months%2C%20a%20study%20showed%20Thursday.IS THE COVID VACCINE SAFE?This is an unanswerable question for anyone with intellectual credibility. No vaccine in history has been manufactured and approved so quickly and, as of this writing, 50 million Americans have received their shots and we have less than 2 months of data from them.Mathematically speaking, side effects are occurring at a much higher rate than the flu shot, but still to a very small percentage of people who get vaccinated. Deaths occurring after the vaccine stand at .0018% of people and NONE have been directly linked to the shot. These numbers are, in my opinion, irrelevant. The question shouldn’t be “is the vaccine safe,” it should be “what do I fear more? Getting Covid, or getting side effects from the vaccine?’ OR “what do I fear more? How little we know about the potential long-term effects of Covid, or how little we know about the potential long term effects of the vaccine?”Ultimately, I predict the actual question for those who are hesitant will be “how much do I miss having anything close to a normal life versus how much do I fear the unknowns about the vaccine?” Normalcy will not be offered to those who aren’t vaccinated unless a surprising number of Americans suddenly change their minds and lurch us towards herd immunity by stepping forward. More on this below.https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/vaccines/safety/adverse-events.htmlAM I A BAD PERSON IF I DON’T WANT THE VACCINE?This is a personal and moral question in its entirety. Based on all current writings and opinions, the vocal majority’s answer is “yes, yes you are.” But bear in mind that much of that is based on ignorance and misinformation. I’ve had far too many friends tell me that the reason they’re getting the vaccine is to “protect old people,” which is quite literally anti-science. The only way that logic works is when we reach herd immunity but until then, you getting the vaccine protects no one other than yourself, period. One of the most infuriating things that will play out this summer is the realization that somewhere between 25 and 50% of all Americans are currently not interested in receiving the vaccine. I have 17 cops in my contacts list and all of them have refused it. I know 10 doctors/nurses and 7 of them have also refused. Many may, after seeing little to know side-effects from the vaccine decide to take it, but the jury is out on that and the rationale for forcing them to do so is murky at best. So, bring on the coercion. More on that below, as well.https://news.utexas.edu/2020/12/15/is-it-unethical-to-refuse-a-covid-19-vaccine/WHAT’S THIS ABOUT NOT NEEDING TO QUARANTINE IF I’VE HAD THE VACCINE?Lunacy. This is your government at its’ worst. There is absolutely no sense to this whatsoever, other than propaganda. The CDC itself says that even after being vaccinated you must practice all other health protocols including masking and social distancing, because you can still spread the virus if you contract it. Again, the vaccination doesn’t prevent you from getting infected, it prevents you from symptoms. But wait…why do we quarantine if we’re knowingly exposed to the virus? So that we don’t spread it to others! So why in the world would we be told that the vaccinated don’t need to quarantine if they’re exposed? There’s only one reason; coercion and propaganda. It’s the carrot and stick. C’mon, get the vaccine and we’ll let you go outside (even though our own stated science contradicts this entirely). Maddening doesn’t begin to describe this.https://www.nbcnews.com/health/health-news/cdc-fully-vaccinated-people-don-t-need-quarantine-if-exposed-n1257336CAN MY EMPLOYER FORCE ME TO GET VACCINATED?The short answer is absolutely, yes. The only exceptions are basically religious (which you’d need to have some sort of established track record of such beliefs to survive a termination lawsuit that might ensue), health reasons like being allergic to the vaccine, or an existing contract or collective bargaining agreement that prevents it (which is how and why most cops and firefighters have been able to refuse en masse).https://www.forbes.com/sites/tomspiggle/2020/11/20/can-employers-force-employees-to-get-a-coronavirus-vaccine/?sh=7e2d85d6eb42https://blog.petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2020/11/30/covid-vaccine-eua-mandate-business/CAN BUSINSSES FORCE ME TO SHOW PROOF OF VACCINATION IN ORDER TO BE A CUSTOMER?No offense, but this is perhaps the stupidest question of the bunch. Absolutely, yes. A company can impose any requirements onto its customers that it wants to, as long as those policies are not discriminatory, and even that latter point is questionable in Covid times. After all, many companies have thrown the Americans with Disabilities Act out the window as it relates to mask mandate enforcement and those who suffer from claustrophobia, panic attacks, and asthma and those businesses have suffered zero consequences. Additionally, demanding that you be vaccinated to enter their private business is not a violation of HIPPA laws in any way because you don’t have to shop there, nor do you have a right to. If you want to attend their concert, fly on their airline, or enter their store, and they demand you show proof of vaccination, then you have to show proof of vaccination…period. Legal scholars disagree as to whether or not non-government agencies will need to offer any sort of exceptions for religious exemptions (which basically means they won’t have to until it works its’ way through the courts which could take years). With the world already talking about creating Covid passports, this seems inevitable and a hurdle too high to leap if you want anything close to a 2019 life again.https://www.nh.gov/covid19/resources-guidance/documents/covid-19-%20vaccine-faq-schools-employers.pdfhttps://blog.petrieflom.law.harvard.edu/2020/11/30/covid-vaccine-eua-mandate-business/https://www.cnbc.com/2021/01/06/what-people-might-not-be-allowed-to-do-if-they-dont-get-vaccinated.htmlWILL I NEED PROOF OF VACCINATION TO TRAVEL?See the previous answer. The only change here is that the American Government can make no law that would infringe on a citizens’ right to freedom of religion, meaning that those with spiritual objections to the vaccine can’t be discriminated against by the government. For the most part, there’s a pretty easy work-around to this for the government by simply “asking” airlines (private companies) to impose such a policy, as opposed to the government doing so.https://www.dailymail.co.uk/debate/article-9257783/TONY-BLAIR-world-needs-agree-form-Covid-passport-Britain-lead-way.html?printingPage=truehttps://www.cnbc.com/2021/01/06/what-people-might-not-be-allowed-to-do-if-they-dont-get-vaccinated.htmlThe bottom line is this; After living through the last 12 months, in which endless civil liberties and freedoms were ripped away from us in the name of “public safety,” do you really, honestly believe that if it is determined that people need to be coerced into getting the vaccine that we won’t be? Dozens of court challenges to church closures, punishments of business owners, and the imposition of lockdowns and curfews have deemed those orders to have been unconstitutional, yet, the overwhelming majority of the nation remains under the thumb of such policies. Thus, many of the “can they do that,” narrative needs to be ignored for the answer clearly is, yes, and they will. Our decisions will be based entirely on what we’re willing to accept and endure versus the life we want to live.

What Are CDD Fees? CDD vs HOA

Melanie Loves Tampa Bay

If you're looking at Florida homes for the first time, you're probably wondering what the heck a CDD fee is. How is it different from an HOA? CDD stands for "Community Development District." It's main purpose is to plan, finance, construct, and operate community-wide infrastructure and amenities for residents to enjoy. http://www.ccfj.net/FS190CDD.html#190.012 The neighborhood developer takes out a bond to get access to the money to create all of this infrastructure - the bond is paid back by residents over periods typically 20, 25, or 30 years. How do residents pay the CDD fee? The yearly cost of the CDD fee is part of your non-ad valorem property taxes. Combined with your ad valorem taxes, this creates your total tax bill for the year. How much is a typical CDD? The amount varies widely from neighborhood to neighborhood, but I've noticed that most of the new, large, master-planned communities here in the Tampa Bay area have CDDs around $2,000 per year. How is a CDD different from the HOA? The CDD and HOA (Homeowners Association) are different entities within a community that work together, but have different responsibilities. Many of the maintenance costs in a community are handled by the CDD, whereas the HOA creates and enforces deed restrictions as well as operate the amenities. What happens when the bond is paid off? Does the CDD go away? Westchase is a great example of a neighborhood that has certain villages with paid off CDD bonds. The homes in Westchase over 20 years old are now only paying the maintenance cost portion of the CDD, which will never go away. But once that bond is paid off, homeowners do get a significant cost break. I looked up a house in The Fords. In 2017, the CDD bill was $1,095.55. After the bond was paid off, the 2018 CDD bill was $486.20. Why spend money to live in a CDD community? There are lots of Tampa Bay area neighborhoods without CDDs, but they tend to be smaller communities with fewer amenities. If you don't think you will use amenities like a swimming pool, tennis courts, or fitness center, you might want to look at non-CDD communities. Typically, those will have higher HOA fees, because the HOA is now responsible for all of the maintenance costs. In 2014 he was selling life insurance online; the economy tanked and people were getting laid off work; Chris was asked to transition from full to part time Went back to full time for a while; but eventually he was let go entirely; Should I get a job or work full time on the website business? Today we have Sunny Lenarduzzi here to share her insights on how to build a converting community using YouTube. This is the final interview in our 6-part series about how to build a converting community online. Sunny is an award-winning video, social media, and online business strategist. She’s worked with hundreds of clients across multiple industries – helping Hootsuite develop a YouTube series that increased subscriptions by 75% and Applebee’s hit 1 billion impressions in 1 day. Sunny was named one of 20 Must Watch YouTube Channels That Will Change Your Business by Forbes and she’s been featured on national radio, television and online platforms like Entrepreneur.com and The Huffington Post. Question: Why do you like YouTube as a marketing tool? Answer: I ran a consultancy for years and was doing just Twitter and Facebook at the time and built successful campaigns. I had so many clients that I was feeling burned out and incapable of answering everyone’s questions. At the time Periscope was the rage and my clients wanted to know how to integrate it into their strategy. I filmed a video to teach them what they needed to do, sent it to my clients and I woke up the next day to a couple thousand views of my video, hundreds of inquiries from across the world and inquiries in my email from people referencing my video on YouTube and wanting to work with me. It was a lightbulb moment and I started doing the videos each week based on my client’s questions about social media. The next thing I knew, I had 50K subscribers in 12 months and I had reached over 3M people with my videos. YouTube changed my life and changed my business. In that one year I went from a tiny $50K consultancy business to a place where I hired a team of 10 people, we’ve launched a course and we continue to do high-level consulting. YouTube allowed me to reach the people on a mass scale and share my knowledge on a mass scale. Question: How do you get people to follow you on YouTube and how do you build a community there? Answer: I always lead with education. I focus on the entrepreneur to help them build online businesses and market their businesses easier. The theme of the channel is to “be your own boss and build your own life” and I focus on a few factors each week to get found and build my subscriber base. First and foremost is to answer Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ’s), which is how he whole channel started. I also focus on trending topics and hot content, books or materials that I can leverage to build traffic. Going back to Periscope, I was the first person to make a video about it when it was trending which made the video popular. I also look to what my community is asking on a regular basis and what they’re talking about on other platforms to incorporate into my intel. Finally,  I focus on keywords and crafting titles in a way that people are searching for them. Question: How do you get people to take action and convert to a customer from YouTube? Answer: I have created a foolproof formula for entrepreneurs using YouTube to leverage their traffic and viewers and turn them into customers. You tell people what to do with a specific call to action that tells them where to go next and where to find you so you can nurture those leads to conversion. Question: How are you using the various features of YouTube? Answer: When new features come out, I test them and try to think of unique and creative ways to use them. Because I don’t own YouTube, I don’t monetize my channel, but I leverage YouTube to build an email list that I do own and drive people to my products and services. 001: Using Communication to Build Relationships with Ellie Parvin

Navigating the Customer Experience

Play Episode Listen Later May 18, 2016 43:52

Ellie Parvin is obsessed with the way people communicate and the various factors and environments that can alter the perception of information and meanings delivered and received between those communicating. Her passion for communication has lead her to launch EllieParvin.com, which helps small businesses, organizations, entrepreneurs and individuals learn how practicing and cultivating communication skills and techniques can improve their lives and bottom lines. Ellie had her first experience with customer service when she worked in her mother’s psychology practice. She says that customer service became personal for her from that young age. “Something that starts very early on, it kind of becomes your signature on how you are with every job, or everything you do after that” She believes that customer service has changed globally over the past couple of decades, as companies are moving towards being more service-oriented. “Customer service, at its core, is truly building and maintaining relationships through the way businesses and their staff communicate” As much as customer service is about the customers, Ellie shares that it’s as much about the employees who work for a company. She says that employers need to look at the people they are hiring have heart, critical thinking abilities and want to implement the company mission. It’s important that employees are nice to others, quick, thorough and they follow through on what they say they are going to do. “They just need to care about people” Ellie adds that it’s critical a company empowers their employees to make decisions and not have to go through multiple levels of management when dealing with a potential conflict. In the case of an issue or conflict with a customer, employees should tell the person what they are going to do, research a solution and tell them that they’ll get back to them within 24 hours. At the very least, employees should contact the customer to provide a status update on the situation. “Really it is about doing what you say you’re going to do” She also believes companies should have a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page on their website, and visual resources such as YouTube videos can also be helpful in assisting customers. Social media has significantly changed the face of customer service, as research shows that about 85% of customers have contacted a company via social media about their products or services. “When customers actually feel (like) part of the business and connect with the people there, they feel like they’re invested” While it’s important to have a social media presence, Ellie feels that companies should only focus on one to three platforms. For her, it’s Instagram and Facebook. “As a small business owner, it’s vital for me to communicate with the people who are my customers” The book that has had the most impact to Ellie is “Raving Fans” by Ken Blanchard and Sheldon Bowles. She feels that the customer isn’t always right. Words are powerful, and she has chosen to create her own “platinum rule” that says, “The customer is the customer.” “It has nothing to do with whether they’re right or wrong. They’re the customer and our job is to service the customer.” To stay motivated, Ellie has created a morning ritual and set of habits that gets her day off on the right foot. This includes stretching, yoga and listening to podcasts. She’s always been a proponent of learning by teaching. “It’s always a wonderful feeling when you feel that connection with someone” If a team isn’t motivated, she advises employers to be patient and focus on a small group of customers to service. “You want to give your energy to your best customers, which will attract more of them” The one thing she’s most excited about is continuing to do the work to grow and learn. To do so, she’s started Chalene Johnson’s “Marketing Impact Academy 2.0.” Ellie will be launching the book she wrote in the near future. The one quote that Ellie lives by is “Customer service is building and maintaining relationships.” INTERVIEW LINKS: Website (visit for a free PDF & list of Ellie’s Power Words!)
