Katheryn Krick: Spirit or spectacle? Faith or fraud? Another alliteration I can't think of right now? In this episode of We Should Know Better, the crew gets back into the studio to unpack the wild world of modern church culture and viral internet theology. They kick things off by reviewing the hyper-polished production of South Orange County mega-churches before diving into a viral clip linking a lack of tithing to one's sexual proclivities. The guys also dissect an airplane meltdown involving an end-times street preacher, look critically at the cultish dynamics surrounding self-proclaimed apostle Katheryn Krick, and unpack what true biblical masculinity looks like compared to modern caricature. Finally, things take a grounded, vulnerable turn as they wrestle with unanswered prayers, serious illness, and what it means to hold space for hard questions in faith. 00:02.35 - Welcome Back & Merch Plugs 02:11.07 - Over-Produced Churches & South OC Worship Culture 16:09.17 - Theo-Bros & "If You Don't Tithe You're Gay" Viral Clip 28:27.23 - Airplane Evangelist: Flight Delays, End Times, & Captive Audiences 45:30.54 - Personal Faith Journeys & Relational Evangelism 54:44.11 - Deconstructing Faith Healer Katheryn Krick & Viral Manifestations 01:13:26.51 - Psychosomatic Healing vs. Genuine Spiritual Encounters 01:30:59.34 - David and Jonathan: Ancient Relationships & Modern Interpretation 01:45:39.77 - Re-evaluating Masculinity, Nurturing Traits, and Jesus 01:55:37.42 - Processing Cancer, Unanswered Prayer, and Pushing Back on God SUBSCRIBE & SHARE us this week!Contact Us: brosbiblesbeer@gmail.com Leave Us A VoicemailYouTubeSimpleCastSpotifyApple PodcastsXInstaWe Should Know Better is: Zack Krater & Andy McCraw Find us wherever fine podcasts are distributed. In this episode of Apostolic Life in the 21st Century, Dr. David K. Bernard addresses an important question about divine healing and the gifts of the Spirit. In 1 Corinthians 12, the apostle Paul lists the “gifts of healing” (verse 9) among the spiritual gifts and makes it clear that not every believer operates in this gift (verse 30). Yet in Mark 16:18, Jesus said believers would lay hands on the sick and they would recover. Is healing a special ministry given only to certain individuals, or is it a sign that can follow any Spirit-filled believer? Dr. Bernard responds to this important question, offering clarity and balance on a topic that is central to Pentecostal theology and practice. For further study, see Dr. Bernard's book Spiritual Gifts, available at PentecostalPublishing.com. Fields Ready for Harvest: Faith, Healing, and the Work of God – John 4:27–54 In this episode of Divine Table Talk, Jamie and Jane continue through the Gospel of John by exploring John 4:27–54, where two powerful themes unfold—the harvest of hearts ready to believe and the healing power of Jesus' word. After His encounter with the Samaritan woman, Jesus reminds His disciples that the fields are already ripe for harvest, inviting them to see people through God's eyes. The chapter then closes with the healing of the official's son, revealing a faith that trusts Jesus' word even before seeing the result. Together, Jamie and Jane reflect on what it means to participate in God's harvest, trust Christ's authority, and recognize how belief grows when we step out in faith. This conversation encourages listeners to see the people around them as God does and to trust that His word still brings life and healing today. ____________________________________ Connect with Jamie: Website: www.jamieklusacek.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/jamieklusacek Connect with Jane: Website: www.janewwilliams.com Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/janewwilliams

John and Chino examine the life and teachings of Hobart Freeman, tracing how a strict faith-healing theology collided with human aging, illness, and reality. Drawing from firsthand experience, recorded sermons, and historical context, the discussion explores how promises of guaranteed healing create cognitive dissonance, enable spiritual abuse, and leave families devastated when those promises fail. ______________________Weaponized Religion: From Christian Identity to the NAR:Paperback: https://www.amazon.com/dp/1735160962 Kindle: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DCGGZX3K ______________________- Support the channel: https://www.patreon.com/branham - Visit the website: https://william-branham.org
John and Chi discuss the painful contradictions inside the divine healing movement: the promise of supernatural health contrasted with the hidden reality of chronically ill leaders and suffering followers. They revisit Hobart Freeman’s teachings, exploring why his doctrine collapsed under its own weight and how misapplied scriptures—especially Isaiah 53 and the “healing is easier” message—misled thousands. The conversation highlights the emotional toll on former members, the danger of tying salvation to physical healing, and the destructive power of pride within authoritarian religious systems. They also unpack how movements like British Israelism and the Latter Rain shaped modern healing theology, why context matters when reading prophetic texts, and how sincere but misguided leaders can still leave a trail of trauma. Through scriptural analysis and lived experience, John and Cheno show how peeling back the curtain—much like in The Wizard of Oz—reveals the human frailty behind grand spiritual claims. ______________________ Weaponized Religion: From Christian Identity to the NAR: Paperback: https://www.amazon.com/dp/1735160962Kindle: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DCGGZX3K______________________Support the channel: https://www.patreon.com/branhamVisit the website: https://william-branham.org
