On this week's episode, Mike, Callum and Dan reflect on a HUGE away win at Everton, and a point at home against Spurs. Thomas Frank returned to the Gtech and gave us a very Brentford performance… against Brentford. That culminated in a boring 0-0 draw, but there was nothing boring about Keith Andrews' side's win away at the Hill Dickinson Stadium. Igor Thiago's hat-trick meant the Bees start 2026 in SEVENTH place, just a point outside of the Champions League positions. We chat about the Vitaly Janelt remontada, Mikkel Damsgaard's inspired return to the XI, and Sunderland at home on Wednesday night. Learn more about your ad choices. The first Planet FPL Podcast of 2026 sees David join James for a review of the GW19 where Gabriel returned to the Arsenal team and hauled immediately in their big clash against Aston Villa which was part of an exciting night of action on Tuesday in the Premier League. Let's hope however that New Year's Day wasn't a sign of things to come as only two goals were scored across four games and there was disappointment for Liverpool, Manchester City and Tottenham who all drew 0-0 and the pressure is being ramped up again on Thomas Frank. Brentford were no better in a dismal encounter at The Gtech, but there's plenty of praise for Leeds and Sunderland for their hard earned points. All the games covered, Chelsea part ways of Enzo Maresca and transfer plans for GW20 and beyond are covered, which also features a key message about chips. On this week's episode, Mike, Dan and Callum reflect on the 4-1 demolition of Bournemouth at the Gtech. A Kevin Schade hat-trick, as well as a fortuitous Bournemouth own goal, sent Brentford into eighth place in the table, with the result meaning we have accrued the most points ever at this stage of a Premier League season. We chat about Schade's 10/10 performance, January targets for Phil Giles and Lee Dykes, and a different kind of performance from Igor Thiago. Top vibes, strong opinions and plenty of Bees love after a cracking night
On this week's episode, Mike, Craig and Dan dissect the 1-1 draw at home against Leeds, and talk about the future of Keith Andrews at Brentford. It was a frustrating afternoon for Andrews' side at the Gtech, but it looked as though we'd gotten away with it when Jordan Henderson slotted him his first goal in red and white. But Dominic Calvert-Lewin's header meant the spoils were shared in West London. We chat about our style of play regressing under Andrews, why we keep dropping points from winning positions, and the project under Andrews in the long term. We also talk about our upcoming games against Man City in the Carabao Cup, and a MASSIVE trip to Molineux on Saturday. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
Joe Redmond of Turfcast joins Mike for a preview of Burnley's trip to the Gtech on Saturday. The Clarets come into the game on ten points in 19th place, but performances this season have been fairly encouraging from Scott Parker's side. We chat about the season so far, Parker's approach to staying in the Premier League, and key personnel to look out for on Saturday. Learn more about your ad choices. On this week's episode, Mike and Dan reflect on yet another defeat on the road, this time away at Brighton. Brentford seemed in control in the first half after Igor Thiago netted his ninth goal of the season, but two goals in the second half from Danny Welbeck and Jack Hinshelwood means Keith Andrews' side dropped more points from a winning position. We chat (again) about Keith's in-game substitutions, why Reiss Nelson isn't getting any game time, and why Burnley will be a different kind of test for Brentford at the Gtech. On this week's episode, Mike, Craig and Dan are joined by former Bees captain and Brentford Hall of Famer, Pontus Jansson. Pontus joined the club in the summer of 2019 and was quickly made captain by Thomas Frank in a season that saw Brentford finish 3rd in the Championship, but eventually miss out on promotion in the playoffs. Pontus, however, was a key member of the squad that, in the following year, returned Brentford to the top flight for the first time in over than 70 years. Captaining Brentford on their maiden voyage in the Premier League, Pontus quickly became a cult hero and club legend, making over 100 appearances for the Bees, and being involved in some of our most iconic top flight games to date. We chat about what led him to sign for Brentford, his favourite memories in the Premier League, the current squad under Keith Andrews, and how his future could lead him back to the Gtech one day. This one is an ALL-TIMER! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
On this week's episode, Mike, Dan and Craig reflect on another massive three points at the Gtech, this time against Eddie Howe's Newcastle. Harvey Barnes scored his customary goal against us in what was a fairly dull first half, but a Kevin Schade header, and another brace for Igor Thiago in the second half meant Keith Andrews' side secured all three points in West London. We chat about Michael Kayode's brilliance (again), our red-hot number nine, and Andrews' impressive record at the Gtech. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

On this week's episode, Mike and Dan reflect on a MASSIVE win at the Gtech against the defending Premier League champions Liverpool. It was an absolute thriller in West London, in a game where Keith Andrews' side came out deserved winners. Dango Ouattara sent us on our way to three points with yet another goal from a long throw, before Kevin Schade added a second before half-time. Liverpool came back into it through a controversial Milos Kerkez goal, but Igor Thiago seventh of the season was enough to hand us all three points, despite a late Mo Salah stunner. We chat about the performance of Michael Kayode, Mikkel Damsgaard's increasing involvement, and Andrews' perfectly executed game plan. Learn more about your ad choices. Neil Atkinson of The Anfield Wrap joins Mike ahead of Liverpool's visit to the Gtech on Saturday night. It's been a mixed season so far for Arne Slot's champions, but a win in the Champions League against Eintracht Frankfurt means his side come into the game off the back of a much-needed solid performance. We chat about where it's gone wrong, why Alexis Mac Allister's form has been pivotal to Liverpool's slump, and how Brentford can get at Slot's team on Saturday night. On this week's episode, Mike, Craig and Dan reflect on a HUGE win against West Ham at the London Stadium. Goals from Igor Thiago - his fifth in eight Premier League games - and Mathias Jensen sealed all three points for Keith Andrews' side, in what was dominant performance in East London. We chat about the standout performances of Igor Thiago and Yehor Yarmoliuk, the futures of Mikkel Damsgaard and Fabio Carvalho, and how Keith should set us up against the champions Liverpool on Saturday night at the Gtech. On this week's episode, Craig and Dan reflect on the 1-0 home defeat to Manchester City. Erling Haaland's first half goal was enough to see off Keith Andrews' Brentford, despite an improved second half showing from the home side. On this week's episode, Mike, Craig and Dan reflect on Keith Andrews and his side bouncing back from derby day defeat to sting Ruben Amorim's Manchester United at the Gtech. On this week's episode, Mike and Dan reflect on Brentford reaching the fourth round of the Carabao Cup after penalty shootout victory over Aston Villa, as well as a dramatic finish against Chelsea in the league. Another positive performance from Keith Andrews' Bees ended in a penalty shootout against a struggling Villa side. Villa took the lead through Harvey Elliott, but an absolute worldie from Aaron Hickey levelled affairs in the second half, before Hakon Valdimarsson became the hero in the shootout after a tricky 90 minutes. We chat about Keith's approach to the cup and how it differs from Thomas Frank, the performance of debutant Benjamin Arthur, and our frightening strength off the bench. We also touch on a well deserved point against Chelsea at the Gtech. Fabio Carvalho's last minute equaliser meant the spoils would be shared after a Cole Palmer-inspired turnaround from the World Champions. We talk Jordan Henderson, long throw carnage, and players running themselves into the ground for Keith. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices

Enzo Maresca's side has an unbeaten start to the season, drawing with Crystal Palace, thumping West Ham away, and beating Fulham at Stamford Bridge - both wins coming without star player Cole Palmer who is missing with a groin injury. Brentford bounced back in style at the Gtech, putting last week's poor showing firmly behind them with a hard-fought 1–0 win over Aston Villa. Club-record signing Dango Ouattara made an instant impact on his debut, scoring the decisive goal after just 12 minutes and setting the tone for a much-improved Bees performance. The team looked sharper, more disciplined, and far more cohesive, giving Keith Andrews his first Premier League win as Brentford boss.Straight after the whistle, Billy “The Bee” Grant caught up with both Brentford and Villa fans to capture the raw post-match emotions. From relief and pride among the home supporters to frustration in the Villa camp, this episode dives into the key moments, tactical tweaks, and the buzz around a debut goal that could mark the start of something special for Brentford. Luke Robinson from the UTV Fan Channel joins Mike ahead of Aston Villa's trip to the Gtech for Brentford's first home game of the season. Villa - in a similar way to Brentford - were uninspiring in their season opener against Newcastle, but still managed to pick up a point despite former Bee Ezri Konsa's second half red card. We walk through that game, why Unai Emery's system needs tweaking against Brentford, and Villa's PSR struggles which have led to an underwhelming transfer window. Learn more about your ad choices. There has been so much Bees news this week we had to split the podcast in two.The Beesotted crew of Billy The Bee Grant, Dave Laney Lane, Lewis Sherlock Holmes and Ali Mullalley hooked up a The Steam Packet in Strand on The Green, Kew to discuss all sorts. In this episode, we review into the Forshaw v Wissa article that was written on Beesotted which highlighted and how player power has evolved over the years, with Wissa now the subject of a £40m tug-of-war as Newcastle up their bid to £35m plus add-ons. We bust the 'Maupay return to Brentford' rumours, clear up the Kalimuendo-to-Forest links, and chat about new signing Ouattara. Plus – Josh Da Silva keeps the No.10 shirt, digital season tickets land at the Gtech, and October's fixtures against City, West Ham and Liverpool get shuffled. In Episode Two we go deep on the Forest game and look ahead to Aston Villa. On this week's episode, Mike, Craig, Dan and Callum reflect on opening day defeat after Brentford lost 3-1 against Nottingham Forest. Keith Andrews start to life as head coach was a tough watch. 3-0 down at half-time with next to no cohesion across the pitch has unsurprisingly sparked a fair bit of headloss. We gather to, hopefully, quell some of that. We discuss the lineup, Igor Thiago's performance, and changes for Aston Villa at the Gtech on Saturday. Learn more about your ad choices. With Thomas Frank's departure to Tottenham Hotspur all but confirmed Billy The Bee Grant and Dave Laney Laney got together in the Beesotted Emergency Bunker to discuss the head coach situation at Brentford Football Club. The press has been in overdrive the past few days and the inevitablity of Frank's move from West to North London seems a matter of when rather than if… As Brentford fans we are focussed on how developments affect our club, but the two Beesotted editors also discuss how they feel the likeable Dane will cope under Daniel Levy compared to Matthew Benham; who may come next at The Gtech, will it be Justin Cochrane or Jurgen Klopp; as well as whether Frank's relationship with the Brentford fans will be compromised by the way the departure has played out so far. Thomas Frank's track record at Brentford can never be questioned but, at these moments, all Bees fans share a mixed sense of concern, fear and uncertainty about the future… we hope this edition of the podcast reflects the views of most fans. On this week's episode, a full house reflects on the 0-0 draw against Chelsea at the Gtech, extending Brentford's winless run at home to 10 matches. The Bees had big chances in the game, but failed to secure what would've been a first home win against their West London rivals in the Premier League. The draw did earn us our first clean sheet of the season at home, though, and we are now mathematically safe from relegation (!). A game to forget, but plenty of talking points to get into. We chat about the lack of attacking depth on Brentford's bench, why watching Kevin Schade can be an extremely frustrating watch at times, and look ahead to Arsenal on Saturday. Luke from the UTV Fan Channel joins Mike to preview Saturday night's clash at the Gtech against Aston Villa. Villa come into the game in decent form, having booked their place in the FA Cup quarter-final, and all but securing their passage to the last eight of the Champions League as well after a comfortable 3-1 victory away at Club Brugge. A win for Brentford would be huge considering Villa's place just above them in the Premier League table, and with not much separating the teams in the race for Europe, it promises to be a cracker. On this week's episode, Mike, Craig and Dan reflect on a big win against Leicester away from home, but a disappointing night against an in-form Everton side at the Gtech, in which a late Jake O'Brien goal rescued a deserved points for the Toffees. Everton's red-hot Beto will be wondering how he didn't add to his impressive tally under David Moyes after Ethan Pinnock handed the striker three one-on-ones only for Mark Flekken to come out on top on all three occasions. We talk about Pinnock's decline this season and whether his time as our first choice centre-back is over. Keane Lewis-Potter squandered a glorious opportunity to put the game to bed, and was punished minutes later by O'Brien's late diving header at the back post. Be honest. When Kai Havertz missed that first half sitter, you thought that Arsenal were going to lose, didn't you? And why wouldn't you? That's how football works. It's powered by narrativium. Except this time it wasn't. Arsenal destroyed City and Havertz got one in the back of the net eventually. Amy Lawrence has the Arsenal angle, Sam Lee has City, but we've also got Carl Anka at Old Trafford, the theatre of pathos, we've got Jay Harris at the GTech where Spurs were impressive and if that's not enough, Pol Ballus joins us from Spain where Barcelona have rejoined the title race. James is joined on Clash of the Correspondents by Brentford fan Tom Medd and Bournemouth fan Neil Grover to discuss the latest at their clubs, and some key FPL assets from within them ahead of the meeting between them in GW11 at The Gtech, and spoiler, goals are expected. Should goals arrive key talismen Bryan Mbeumo and Antoine Semenyo are likely to be involved. What are the prospects for these popular FPL assets both in the immediate and for the longer-term? There's also discussion on the best defensive assets from each with Mark Flekken, Sepp Van Den Berg and Milos Kerkez all featuring. Whilst upfront, there is perhaps surprisingly unanimous agreement on which of Evanilson and Yoane Wissa provides the best investment in the forward line for FPL managers. Plus, with Brentford having taken 13 points from 5 home games and Bournemouth off the back of 7 points in 3 consecutive games against Champions League qualifiers the question is posed of how much can these two clubs achieve for the rest of this season. And for one in particular there is a remarkable statistic over the last 38 games.
