Support the show: https://krant.nl/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

We're back in the building as Spurs appear to be intent on being the busiest Premier League club in the summer transfer window, having now confirmed three signings in Andy Robertson, Marcos Senesi and the £52M signing of centre-back in Jan Paul van Hecke from Brighton and Hove Albion. News also broke during the show that Tottenham Hotspur are interested in a move for West Ham United midfielder Mateus Fernandes, while they remain keen on signing Newcastle United's Sandro Tonali. We discuss if we can get these signings over the line and what it will mean for a number of the current first-team squad and whether they will remain. Jack is joined by Conor Mummery where the lads kick things off by checking in on England's World Cup campaign, celebrating Harry Kane reaching 10 tournament goals as he puts Croatia to the sword, and reflecting on his legendary status. Attention then turns to young defender Luka Vuskovic's recent performance, evaluating reports of friction between the youngster and Roberto De Zerbi, who reportedly feels the teenager is still a few years away from first-team readiness. We celebrate Jan Paul van Hecke officially getting the "Here We Go" confirmation, before breaking down an incredible bit of off-air drama on talkSPORT. With Ben Foster revealing that Daniel Levy texted Simon Jordan claiming Spurs "had their pants pulled down" on the financial terms, we question if this confirms years of suspicion that Levy's obsession with "winning" negotiation squabbles has held the club back—and whether the hierarchy are finally moving differently. Finally, we talk about Sandro Tonali, sharing our honest ratings of him as a player, how he fits into the modern game, and what his addition would mean for our midfield. Adam and Jake are in to make sense of a mad few days for THFC, because the defence we have been crying out for is suddenly being built right in front of us. Van Hecke is the big one. Spurs have agreed a deal with Brighton worth around £52m, and he is exactly the ball-playing centre-half De Zerbi has been asking for. Pair him with Marcos Senesi, in for nothing from Bournemouth, and you have two of the best progressive defenders in the league in the same back line. Add Andy Robertson at left-back and the spine looks completely different to the one that limped through last season. So we are asking the obvious one. Is this defence actually finished, or is there another piece to come? That brings us to the Vuskovic question. The lad looks like a proper player, but with Van Hecke and Senesi in, and Van de Ven and Romero still here, where does he fit? We get into whether he goes out again, whether he should, and what Romero's future actually looks like in a side built around defenders who play out from the back. We also get into the forwards and the wingers, because a tidy defence means nothing if we cannot hurt teams at the other end. Savinho is the name everyone is talking about and the noises out of the club are getting louder. We talk through whether he is the right fit, what De Zerbi's attack is supposed to look like, and who else needs to walk through the door before this window is done. And we could not start without the World Cup. England got off the mark with a 4-2 win over Croatia, Harry Kane with two, Bellingham and Rashford on the scoresheet. We give you our take on how Tuchel's lot looked and what it means heading into Ghana next. Get involved. Tell us in the comments whether you think the defence is done, and who you want next. Like, subscribe and turn the bell on for all our Spurs reaction, previews and transfer chat. COYS. Tottenham #Spurs #THFC #COYS #VanHecke #Senesi #DeZerbi #Savinho #TransferNews #WorldCup

We're back twice in a matter of days as Tottenham have agreed a deal with Brighton to sign defender Jan Paul van Hecke. The deal is believed to be around £52M and the player has expressed his desire to play under 'father figure' Roberto De Zerbi. The centre-back only wanted to join Tottenham. Spurs' statement of intent appears to be taking shape as Tottenham want to sign Newcastle midfielder Sandro Tonali this summer. The Italy international is a top target for Spurs boss Roberto De Zerbi as he looks to rebuild his squad after helping the club avoid relegation from the Premier League. One of Spurs' top priorities this summer is improving the technical ability of the squad and bringing in a midfielder who can dictate play. The club also remain interested in Manchester City forward Savinho meanwhile Brighton target Luka Vuskovic wants to leave Tottenham permanently. The 19-year-old is not happy at the prospect of being sent out on loan, or a lack of gametime at Spurs following the addition of Marcos Senesi and impending arrival of Jan Paul van Hecke. Spurs have just signed Jan-Paul van Hecke from Brighton. A-licence coach JJ and in-house scout DJ break him down in the first ever Scouting Room. The new OhSoSpurs format puts each transfer target through both lenses: a professional coach on the eye test, an analyst-scout on the data, both in the same room. Today's verdict: thumbs up from both, with caveats. Plus: why Spurs effectively just signed two players for £25m each, the leadership profile we've been missing, the lapses to watch, and JJ's contrarian "most excited about" pick. Spurs' summer transfer window appears to be beginning with a genuine statement signing as Tottenham Hotspur has forcefully entered the race to sign Newcastle United's star midfielder Sandro Tonali. Head coach Roberto De Zerbi is the driving force behind this ambitious move. Spurs have already struck deals to sign Andy Robertson and Marcos Senesi on free transfers, while they are also working to sign Savinho, Jan Paul van Hecke and Joao Palhinha. Now, it has emerged that they are making an audacious move for Newcastle standout Tonali, who has been heavily linked with several Big Six clubs in recent months. Despite selling Anthony Gordon, Newcastle remain at risk of losing Tonali following their failure to qualify for Europe ahead of next season. Jack is joined by Baker from the Above Average FPL podcast to break down a fascinating week of Tottenham transfer strategy as the summer rebuild begins to take shape. The lads dive straight into the sensational links bringing Sandro Tonali to N17, evaluating how his technical profile perfectly aligns with Roberto De Zerbi's tactical vision. We also look at the massive optics of the deal—after a gruelling relegation battle, does buying a star player directly from a near rival like Newcastle represent a massive show of dominance from the Spurs hierarchy? Attention then turns to a massive boardroom dilemma following Brighton's bid for teenage centre-back Luka Vuskovic. We debate whether using one of Europe's most sought-after young assets in an effective swap deal for Jan Paul van Hecke—who only has a year left on his current contract—makes long-term sense. Plus, we celebrate Pedro Porro's big new contract extension, explaining why his elite fitness and availability make him the ultimate weapon for De Zerbi, before questioning if a rumoured move to Brentford means the end of the road for Pape Matar Sarr. Finally, the show wraps up with some World Cup scouting as Baker highlights the players who have taken his fancy during the tournament so far. The panel are back on Last Word On Spurs in another busy week around Hotspur Way as Tottenham have signed defender Marcos Senesi on a free transfer following his departure from Bournemouth. The 29-year-old will officially complete his move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on 1 July, subject to international clearance. Senesi, capped three times by Argentina, decided to leave Bournemouth earlier in the season after rejecting three contract offers from the club. The centre-back - who has also just been included in Argentina's squad for this summer. We also reacted to the news that Tottenham have confirmed that Ben Davies has signed a new contract with the club, while Yves Bissouma is leaving as a free agent. Davies joined Spurs from Swansea City in 2014 and will now extend his stay in north London into a 13th season, having made 363 appearances for the club to date. Only 20 players have played more matches for Tottenham in their history, including Davies' former team-mates Heung-min Son, Hugo Lloris, Harry Kane and Eric Dier. Spurs did not confirm the length of Davies' new deal, but widespread reports on Wednesday said it was a one-year extension. As one player commits there future, one departs as but there was no new deal for Bissouma, who played the full 90 minutes in the Bilbao showpiece. Bissouma made 111 appearances for Spurs after arriving from Brighton in 2022, scoring two goals – both of which came in the Premier League in 2024-25. We reflect on the potential Bissouma had and why that quite never materialised during his time at Spurs. We close on Spurs' pursuit of both Jan Paul Van Hecke and Savinho and whether we feel both deals will eventually be completed. Jack is joined by friend of the show Tom Hayward to unpack a surprisingly busy start to the week of Tottenham news that spans from boardroom takeover rumours to various movements in the transfer window. The lads dive straight into the madness surrounding Matt Law's latest report on a potential "crypto bro" takeover at Spurs, debating what this ownership model could mean for the future of the club and whether ENIC are finally plotting an exit strategy. Turning to confirmed business, we break down the pros and cons of Andy Robertson's official arrival on a free transfer, weighing up his elite mentality and experience against his age and fit for Roberto De Zerbi's system. We also get the latest on our ongoing pursuit of Brighton's Jan Paul van Hecke, highlighting a brilliant piece of public tapping-up from Micky van de Ven, who openly admitted he's been telling his international teammate that N17 is the place to be. Plus, we address the divisive Harry Wilson discourse taking over social media, react to some surprisingly glowing praise from Thomas Frank about the inner workings of the club, and finish up by shifting our focus to the rapidly approaching World Cup as tournament fever finally starts to kick in. For further details go to https://saily.com/lwos On this edition of the show we return to discuss Tottenham Hotspur making an offer to sign defender Jan Paul van Hecke from Brighton & Hove Albion. The proposal for the 25-year-old fell short of Brighton's valuation, but talks continue and as a direct result of how serious the bid was, a transfer could be finalised before the World Cup with the player keen on the move. Barring any late disasters, free transfers for left-back Andy Robertson and left-sided centre-back Marcos Senesi are expected to be pushed through to be announced after the Premier League transfer window opens on June 15. Both players currently have contracts with Liverpool and Bournemouth respectively until the end of this month. Spurs are getting two ball-playing defenders, the numbers back that up. Senesi and Van Hecke are a level above Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven in terms of passing ability, we discuss where that leaves Spurs other defenders and who are vulnerable to a summer move. Romero's future looks increasingly like being spent away from the club next season once the World Cup is done, with the expectation since January that he would leave, we discuss if we are all ready to see the captain depart. We also discuss Spurs' ongoing pursuit of Savinho, with Tottenham considering making an offer, however no direct approach to Man City has yet been made one could come in the next few days. Tottenham also want a central midfielder who can pass from deep, and are among the clubs who like Hayden Hackney, but it's believed that Roberto De Zerbi has put forward Bruno Guimarães to Tottenham Hotspur and he is viewed as a dream target; however a deal would be tough to do, we reflect on whether that would truly show the ambition of the football club. We close on what would be logical window in terms of what Spurs need to rebuild with Roberto De Zerbi only having to navigate one-game-a-week without any European commitments. Enya Collins — former professional and football analyst — joins Jim to break down Van Hecke's data profile, how he replaces Romero's passing, and the aerial-duel and pace concerns the data raises. With the domestic season officially at an end, Jack is joined by Jon Bass to celebrate a massive weekend of collective relief across North London following Arsenal's defeat in the Champions League final. Drawing a definitive line under a chaotic campaign, the lads look ahead to a pivotal summer under Roberto De Zerbi. We dive straight into the breaking transfer news that dropped this morning regarding Tottenham's declined opening bid for Brighton defender Jan Paul van Hecke, contrasting it with highly positive updates on our moves for Marcos Senesi and Andy Robertson. Jack and Jon closely analyse the tactical profiles of both Van Hecke and Senesi, questioning what their technically accomplished but less physically imposing styles tell us about De Zerbi's footballing vision for next season. We also tackle the growing transfer rumours linking Spurs with Bournemouth's Alex Scott, confronting the dilemma of whether bringing in the boyhood Tottenham fan makes sense given his overlapping profile with Archie Gray and Lucas Bergvall. Finally, the show wraps up by looking ahead to the rapidly approaching World Cup, debating whether the international excitement is finally starting to build. Given Seb's background in German Football, he provides incredible insight into Sebastian Kehl who has been linked with the role and whether he is a viable candidate, with talk that Spurs have now changed their stance and are looking for a 'World-Class operator' we discuss whether someone of Dougie Freedman's ilk could be persuaded to take the job. Independent Multi-Award Winning Tottenham Hotspur Fan Channel (Podcast) providing instant post-match analysis and previews to every single Spurs match along with a range of former players, manager, special guests. We also dive deep into Luka Vušković's last 12 months on loan at Hamburger SV, a player that Seb has watched up close and personal, providing his view as to whether in his opinion if the Croatian player is ready for Premier League football with Spurs. It's been a crazy last 24/48 hours around the Tottenham Hotspur rumour mill we quiz Seb on what he makes of the goalkeeping department as Vicario looks set to leave the Club to join a Serie A side in Italy, has Antonín Kinsky done enough to earn a chance to become the Club's number one. We get Seb's take on Ben Davies set to sign a new contract extension. Davies has made more than 350 appearances for Spurs and has represented the football club for over 12 years. Pedro Porro looks likely to remain after Dumfries has received the 'Here We Go' to join Real Madrid. If Cristian Romero leaves and Tottenham Hotspur decide they need an established right-sided centre-back to replace him, Jan Paul van Hecke has been mooted, we ask Seb whether he could be up to the potential task. Roberto De Zerbi is understood to have held further talks with Joao Palhinha and ‘reiterated his desire' to keep him. Palhinha also has apparently given Spurs first refusal on his signature permanently, can Spurs do better or does the player just make logical sense for Spurs to sign. It's been a week where already the Club have been linked with reviving a move for Morgan Gibbs-White, we discuss with Seb what that could look like and whether Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis would dare think about letting him come to Spurs this summer. Tottenham Hotspur are understood to be looking at winger options with Savinho a top priority and a move getting closer, we debate whether long-term the signing makes sense and why the Club can't afford to turn up their noses to the likes of Harry Wiilson.
