People magazine reports that Kelly Osbourne and Sid Wilson have ended their engagement — Scott Penfold explains why this isn't new, why it isn't connected to the Slipknot situation no matter how the timing looks, and what's actually changed this week. Plus Mercyful Fate announce their first live show in over three years, headed to Leyendas Del Rock in Spain in August 2027 with King Diamond, Hank Shermann, Mike Wead, Bjarne T. Holm and Becky Baldwin — and their long-awaited album still hasn't surfaced. And a harder one to close on: Veeps and Live Nation have gutted Revolver, Alternative Press, BrooklynVegan and Goldmine, with allegations now surfacing from a former employee about workplace treatment. A word about the people who write the things you read, and what it costs when they're gone.

This week, we're scratching The Itch for a beginning! For the past couple of years, Father of Peace has been amassing a following across social media with their quirky songs, styles, and videos. Now, the trio of Avshalom Ariel, Tom Bolllig, and May Alpert have finally taken their music on the road... and across the world. After collectively moving from Israel to Los Angeles, they announced not only their first tour, but their first shows ever. And before most of the dates sold out, Aaron just happened to snag tickets to the very first one at the Beat Kitchen in Chicago, where he came back with tales of charming merch, a fully invested crowd, and how apparently we're all now part of a band. Where our previous episode explored what it's like for a band to end well, this one completes the circle of life by discussing what it's like to navigate the music scene as a new band, where expectations can feel impossible and skepticism can feel inescapable. But a spoiler alert for this act: The hype is real, and the future is bright. Hello, Father of Peace. Welcome to the world. Enjoy. The three-year anniversary of Evan & Tiki sends Evan Roberts and Shaun Morash back to the show's very first broadcast, and the old audio does not let Shaun off easy. Evan revisits his opening shot at Tiki Barber, the Yankees topic that launched the show and Shaun's infamous defense of booing Giancarlo Stanton. The biggest surprise comes from the debut of Cinco de Five, when Shaun's supposedly major new feature began with a forgettable list about going to the movies. Alex also ranks Christopher Nolan's best films, while the crew debates how the segment has evolved over three years and teases the long-awaited return of Bad Tiki.

Ask the Dr. – First Show of the Year with Dr. Michael Lange & Dr. Susan Summerton Today’s Ask the Dr. marked the first show of the new year, hosted by Dr. Michael Lange and Dr. Susan Summerton, and it delivered powerful, science-based strategies to help you live longer, healthier, and sharper. The show opened with a special BOGO offer on Fortifeye Vegan Super Protein, followed by Dr. Lange’s discussion on the importance of high-quality plant-based protein for muscle maintenance, metabolic health, longevity, and overall wellness. A major segment focused on sleep and visual health. Dr. Lange and Dr. Summerton reviewed emerging studies showing that both too little and too much sleep can negatively impact the visual system and overall health. Current research suggests an ideal sleep range of 6–9 hours per night, while regularly exceeding 9 hours may increase health risks. The doctors discussed many lessons learned over the past several years that can help reduce disease risk and premature mortality. They emphasized the foundational importance of diet, exercise, sleep, and proper, evidence-based supplementation for enhancing quality of life, reducing mortality, and slowing cognitive decline. Dr. Lange reviewed the science behind Fortifeye Focus & Brain and discussed key ingredients that support brain circulation, cognition, and neuroprotection. He shared personal insight into how this formulation has helped support his mother’s cognitive abilities. A major portion of the show focused on the power of omega-3 fatty acids and the importance of using the correct form. Dr. Lange and Dr. Summerton explained why triglyceride (TG) and re-esterified triglyceride (rTG) forms are critical for absorption and effectiveness. They discussed studies showing that Fortifeye Omega-3 fish oils, including Fortifeye Super Omega, raise the Omega-3 Index to an average range of approximately 9.2–11 percent, a level strongly associated with improved heart health, vascular protection, and reduced mortality. The doctors also discussed the importance of curcumin, emphasizing that only the proper bioavailable form delivers real benefits. Dr. Lange highlighted CurcuGEN curcumin and its potential role in helping with retinal drusen, inflammation, and many other systemic health conditions. Dr. Lange shared that omega-3 fatty acids and curcumin are two of his favorite foundational nutrients for long-term health, eye health, and brain protection. Both doctors reviewed natural strategies to help reduce clot formation in the body and the eyes, reinforcing the importance of a proactive and integrative approach. The show concluded with an important discussion on comprehensive eye exams, including dilation and Optomap imaging. Dr. Lange explained how eye exams can detect eye disease and early signs of systemic health problems, including three specific ocular findings that may be associated with an increased risk of dementia. These exams can be vision-saving and life-saving. The program featured great listener calls from across the country and was an informative and engaging way to start the new year.
