Like most bowhunters, Michigan's Jim Bouchard knows the challenge of hunting highly pressured whitetails. He owns no hunting ground, has no food plots and competes with many other hunters on every property he hunts. Yet, in spite of the challenges, Bouchard is highly successful and filled both his 2024 buck tags in October. Bouchard details his proven, out-of-the-box tactics for locating and hunting mature bucks that have become masters of survival.

This is a very high level view, the actual process takes much longer than 30 minutes, but you will get the point. We are still on for Jim Bouchard next week as our close out episode, though, so be prepared for a good time there. Chat with y'all then! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

It was the Taoist philosopher, Lao Tzu, who said, "The journey of a thousand miles begins with a step." And, my friends, we are taking that step this week with my good friend, Jim Bouchard, the Sensei Leader! Jim takes Eastern philosophies and applies them to the much needed Western business world. His total person approach to leading is the topic this week and, after you listen, I know you'll agree with him that the "days of command and control are over." What's needed is for us to step and be the Sensei! Cheers! More on Jim from Jim... The world is changing and leaders must change with it. The days of "command and control" are over. People are demanding leaders who are emotionally intelligent and put the priorities of the people they serve above selfish ends. We call these "human-centric" leaders––and our movement is dedicated to developing, cultivating and supporting these leaders. Leaders are people who transform themselves through their experiences, opportunities and challenges to become the people others count on for inspiration, guidance and action. I’m a former drug addict and two time college dropout. I used to think that was a miserable resume for someone who trains leaders to be better people. I now know that it is the perfect resume! Here's why… Leaders are made, not born. I’ll go a little further, leaders are transformed. I transformed myself from a loser to a leader––from a drug abuser to a Black Belt, and later to Sensei. Over 25 years of teaching I helped hundreds of others transform themselves into Black Belts, and thousands more discover their best selves. The Sensei has a very special relationship with followers… It’s a relationship built on loyalty, trust and respect. The Sensei earns this loyalty and respect through mentoring, empathy and a dedication to guiding followers to develop their skills and talents and by inspiring them to cultivate their full potential. I help you cultivate this type of relationship with your followers––at any level to help you become a more effective leader, and to bring out the best in your people and your organization. Connect with Jim (and listen to HIS podcast) on his website at: https://www.thatblackbeltguy.com/ Over 25 years of teaching I’ve helped hundreds of people transform themselves into Black Belts; I’ve helped thousands more discover their best selves by learning how to think like one. I’m tough on the people who want to earn a Black Belt. I’m even tougher on people who want to become effective leaders. A leader is someone with the ability to attract willing followers. People not only come to me willingly––they pay me to be tough on them! I’m tough––yet compassionate. People come to me willingly because they know I care. They know that helping them become their best is my highest priority. I have no “secrets.” I’m willing to share everything I’ve learned, and everything I continue to learn about being a compassionate, courageous and effective leader––someone who makes a real difference in the lives of the people you serve. Sensei literally means “one who went before.” What a powerful description of a leader––as long as you’re willing to walk the walk! I help you earn the trust, respect and loyalty of the people in your care. I help you lead by example through authentic Mastery––becoming your best self. I help you become a better leader by becoming a more effective mentor and teacher. I help you become––the Sensei.
Through his life in martial arts, Jim Bouchard transformed himself from dropout, drug abuse, and failure to successful entrepreneur and a Black Belt. Over 30 years of practice, studying, and teaching, he has developed the tools needed to master life, career, and business. As a speaker, trainer, and author of “THINK Like a BLACK BELT” and “THE SENSEI LEADER”, Jim is in demand internationally among corporate and conference audiences. He appears regularly on TV and radio including BBC Worldview and FOX News. What you’ll learn about in this episode Jim’s background Some of the greatest gifts that martial arts have given Jim How mastery is about getting somewhere, not about being somewhere The techniques Jim uses to stay on course for the day The importance of developing the habit of discipline Why you need to ask yourself “Am I where I want to be today?” Why, as leaders, you need to let people fail constructively Why you need to respect your core values to do the difficult things Why you need to be comfortable with uncertainty Why Jim feels that success is nothing more than the product of abundance How best to connect with Jim: Website: www.thatblackbeltguy.com LinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/in/jimbouchard
Are you sick, tiered and angry about the quality leadership we are dealing with today...particularly at a political level? Do you wish someone would step up and call the craziness out? Our guest today is someone who decided to do something about it. Yes, I know it’s shocking but he got angry about the way things were going and decided to do something about it. My guess today is a highly in demand leadership expert, speaker and author who I am honoured to call my friend (not in the Hollywood sense) but a real friend. He is someone I highly respect as a leader of leaders. He’s also an outspoken individual who is committed to making a difference. And as a result has decided to jump into the crazy game of politics. He has chosen to run for the US House of Representatives as a Libertarian His slogan is "Not One. Penny. More." My mate Mr Jim Bouchard. Jim is always an outstanding guest and this time was no exception. I was just thinking how our discussion was in many ways an example of what healthy politics would look like. Passionate, heated (not always in agreement) and fighting for a common good! This is what the fools don't understand...We don't have to agree to like and respect each other to get along and make a difference. Check out Jim's Libertarian stance and get his free book here...I promise you'll find it highly stimulating! http://bit.ly/CrazyAngryLibertarian More on the host: Dov Baron http://FullMontyLeadership.com See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.

Selling in a Skirt with Judy Hoberman with her guest Kathleen Gage & Jim Bouchard Kathleen Gage deplores boring keynotes. Hates listening to them. Hates giving them. It's why when she spoke in front of the top brass at the United States Marine Corp, to showcase a program on spouse leadership she shined in a way they were willing to listen. Her attitude was then and is now, “I have something that's going to make a difference for you and your people and I'm willing to step into my power to deliver it in a very inspiring way.” It's this kind of “no nonsense common sense” talk that has led many people to consider her to be one of the most passionate speakers alive. Whether it's talking to executives for Fortune 500 companies, or a small group of emerging entrepreneurs and every type of group in between, Kathleen brings her passion and energy to all audiences. Through martial arts, Jim Bouchard transformed himself from dropout, drug abuser and failure to successful entrepreneur and Black Belt. As a speaker and author of Amazon bestseller THINK Like a BLACK BELT, Jim tours nationally presenting his philosophy of Black Belt Mindset for corporate and conference audiences. He's a regular guest on TV and radio programs including FOX News, BBC Worldview and FOX across America.
