What a character this young man is! well 63 year old! Alan Myatt is a town crier who set two Guinness World Records. As well as being the loudest crier, recording a cry of 112.8 decibels, he also set the Guinness world record for vocal endurance, issuing a one-hundred word proclamation every 15 minutes for a period of 48 hours. He is a crier to commerce, industry and heritage, and can be seen at exhibitions, promotions and trade fairs across Europe. I love a man with a sense of humour and 70 year old Martin has had to have a sense of humour working with temperamental musicians, actors and artists for years and years.After studying to be a teacher, but wanting to be a composer he ended up becoming a sound engineer for bands all over the world. He has a genuine interest in how things sound and especially the microphones used to get that sound and has been responsible for recording and doing the live sound for Pam Ayres and Clive James at their theatre shows.I have played in bands with Martin and worked with him on song demos for years. It is always lots of fun when he is around. People used to write songs and send them to him to record. He would send them to me to learn and record, maybe add a sax or flute solo and send it back to them. What a treat to chat to Kevin who says 'I've never done a hard days work in my life' meaning he has loved every single minute of being a professional cricketer since the age of 16 and is now in his sixties.He talks about coaching Joe Root at the age of 12 and seeing his potential and what a great life cricket has given him.  He expected to have retired by now but it just hasn't worked out that way and is enjoying his time at Worcestershire despite being a proud northerner! I was in awe of this young woman when I chatted to her about battling chronic illnesses such as Fibromyalgia, Pernicious Anaemia and Myalgicencephalomyelitis. I cant even pronounce them!It is an amazing story of how she fought to get diagnosed and now wants to encourage those of you with allergies and painful illnesses to not give up but pursue the NHS until they help you.Her instagram page has given Nic a platform to talk openly about her daily struggle and raise awareness to help others. Born in Basra but being brought up in Wales has given Thaer Al-Shayei lots of experiences to call upon in his acting career. It was an honour to have Sir Dusty Miller as a guest on my podcast. It is an incredible story of a mother being widowed with three children. A young man who didn't know what to expect when joining the Royal Air Force at the age of 15. He travelled the world with his family, oversaw the Red Arrows, trained to be a fighter pilot and we then speed on to a knighthood years later. Dusty didn't ever want to leave the RAF and still doesn't sit still for very long.
