Friends,Welcome back to our Saturday coffee klatch with Heather Lofthouse. Today we examine:— House Republicans will not kick out George Santos despite his fake resume and mounting evidence of illegal activity. Will the GOP and Santos be held accountable?— Incidents of violence and potential violence in the House and Senate, among lawmakers. Why is this happening? — Trump's full-throated fascism — describing his opponents as vermin, planning to round up undocumented immigrants and place them in detention camps, encouraging violence. Where is this going?— Meanwhile, Biden avoids or plays down conflict with big corporations, Wall Street, and billionaires — which means that the media ignores his accomplishments (the media reports on conflict). Why won't he call them out? Why isn't he taking credit for going after Google and Amazon?— Elon Musk promotes antisemitism on “X” by advocating a post on “replacement theory.” Advertisers must pull out all advertising from X, and the rest of us should boycott the platform. Like Trump, Musk is building his base off of hate. — Thanksgiving plans. Travel safely. Enjoy your family. The last thing that farmers need when they're coming into the spring planting season is a slowdown in the field. Kyle Parker, district manager for CHS Lubricants, says part of what they need to think about is not what it's going to be like when they're in the field and in need, but the proactive way they need to approach getting their equipment for the planting season. He explains more about the importance proper lubricants can have on your equipment this planting season. “The first thing I would suggest would be to verify you are using the correct fluid for the equipment,” says Parker. Cenex has an online tool called the equipment lookup tool, and this tool will allow farmers to enter their specific brand and model of their equipment and it will give them a breakdown of what product should be used for each component.” It is also important to work with your local lubricant dealer to make sure that you have an adequate supply of lubricants for your equipment and are well stocked for the upcoming planting season. Once the busy planting season starts, downtime due to equipment failure can be costly so it is important to always use a proven, well-known brand of lubricant.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Podcasts are often filled with experts who make it sound too easy to reach those financial freedom goals. Many are often pushing their own agendas as well, and are trying to sell you something. That might create information overload for new investors who are trying to figure out where they should begin. But even the most successful investors started somewhere, and that's often the story you don't hear – what it's like at the very beginning of the journey. It's an often untold story that could help new investors feel more confident about taking their own first steps. In today's episode, you'll hear from someone like that. Kyle Parker and his wife are both full-time engineers with a healthy income, but after reading Rich Dad, Poor Dad, Kyle realized the value of passive income through real estate investing. He's now in the midst of taking his first steps with a handful of real estate syndications but he wants to increase his passive income paycheck so he can become job optional sooner than later. You'll hear details about how he's managing his finances right now, and how he's deciding what he should do next with real estate. You can find out more about getting your own real estate operation off the ground at realwealthshow.com. Every Friday, the BWI Daily Edition looks at the key visitors on the weekend for Penn State recruiting. Recruiting insider Ryan Snyder joins the show to break down the names to know for April 1-3. He and host Thomas Frank Carr also discuss the receiver group for the Class of 2023 and the players who made their way to Happy Valley over the last week as well. Snyder starts the show by discussing the players making their way to Happy Valley over the weekend, comprised chiefly of standouts in the Class of 2024. The first name he brings up is offensive line prospect Kyle Altuner. Last weekend, the Good Counsel offensive lineman was a standout at the Under Armour camp in Baltimore and now visits the Nittany Lions a week later. Snyder explains what he saw at the camp and his strengths as a prospect. The next important player in the group is Mekhai White, a 6-3 receiver from King George, VA. Once again, White is a player that stood out at the Baltimore camp and has multiple offers from schools in the region. So, where does he stand with the Nittany Lions? Snyder explains that and the other schools vying for his services. After discussing several other prospects in the Class of '24, Snyder brings up two names for the weekend that will be significant factors in the Class of 2025. Check out the video to hear who they are. Finally, T-Frank wants to get Snyder's perspective on how spring practice plays into recruiting at this time of the year. Snyder explains that it's not just the on-field work that is important but also the meetings for players. Next, they move on to the players that visited Penn State this previous week and Snyder's conversations with them. T-Frank starts with Texas wide receiver Kyle Parker, who has an interesting and unique recruiting story with the Nittany Lions. From there, they transition from Parker to offensive lineman Amir Herring, a four-star prospect from Michigan and a part of the On300. Penn State already has four offensive linemen, so why are they still courting Herring? Snyder explains. Finally, they discuss the wide receiver board. That's because four-star receiver and in-state product Rodney Gallagher announced that he would visit the school on April 30th. How important is that visit? Snyder says it's not about the visit to Penn State but other critical visits to advance Gallagher's recruitment. T-Frank and Snyder then discuss Gallagher's importance to the Class of 2023 and the receiver board this cycle. Lastly, they preview the month ahead and what happens when the NCAA calendar flips from the quiet period into the evaluation period in the middle of the month.
