"The Dangers of Double-Mindedness" • Friday Service To give: www.ToddCoconato.com/give Website: www.PastorTodd.org Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Today, I want to address a critical issue affecting many Christians—double-mindedness. This spiritual condition can hinder our walk with God and cause various issues in our lives. Let us delve into the Word of God and seek His wisdom on this matter. 1. Understanding Double-Mindedness: James 1:8 (NKJV): "He is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways." 2. The Root of Double-Mindedness: James 4:8 (NKJV): "Draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded." 3. The Consequences of Double-Mindedness: Matthew 6:24 (NKJV): "No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon." 4. Faith Without Doubt: Mark 11:23 (NKJV): "For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says." 5. Steadfastness in Faith: Hebrews 10:23 (NKJV): "Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful." 6. The Call to Spiritual Maturity: Ephesians 4:14-15 (NKJV): "that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting, but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ." Double-mindedness is a significant barrier to spiritual growth and a fulfilling Christian life. By drawing near to God, purifying our hearts, and committing ourselves wholly to Him, we can overcome this instability. Let us seek God with undivided hearts, trust in His promises, and grow into mature, steadfast believers.

Welcome to REPLAY THURSDAY, where you'll hear the most popular episodes from the previous season. What does it mean to be “double minded? The Strong's Concordance defines it as “two spirited,” “TWO” as in number. It goes on to define it as “wavering, doubting, and uncertain.” We're going back and forth on an issue in our opinion, our purpose, or both. This phrase only appears twice in the New Testament, and both times are in the book of James. Listen to the bottom line from James 1:8: "A double minded man is unstable in all his ways." Granted, this verse was speaking about asking God for wisdom without wavering, but it applies to any area where we're wavering. Being double minded is uncomfortable on purpose. It's an helpful way to live. Let's consider four ways to stop this confusing habit. CLR Show 1932. Air Date May 21, 2024. The title quote is from Mark Twain, but its significance is wholly contemporary. More than that, an openness to new experiences and new people will be an absolutely critical component of our attempting to establish a reasonable level of civic and civil discourse as we begin to contemplate life in recognizably united America after the era of Donald. The vectors are beginning to line up.

Which is better? To Bug Out or to Harden Your Position?Which is better? Train in Recce or CQB?Which is better? A DMR or a MK18?Which is better? 9mm or 45acp?These questions represent different decision that go awry when we attempt to answer them at the wrong level of analysis. There is a strange hope that, if it were to come to brass tacks, the good men would do what is right. Yet conversations like those presented above are seemingly less concerned good men doing what is right, but instead, mere survival.Enjoy.This Episode has been sponsored by Obsidian Arms, a manufacturer of tools, parts and firearms, as well as operating as an OEM shop for those looking to bring excellence to the market. Hello everyone welcome to Reaching Out Radio International, we are a ministry team working in love and unity in one mind one accord as the body of Christ sharing the Gospel into the world. If you've ever wrestled with your thought patterns or belief systems, and desire to learn to avoid the pitfalls of being double-minded, this broadcast will help you address these very important issues. God's Word tells us that "A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways." ~ James 1:8. How we think leads to how we feel, which in turn leads to what we do. I will break down and explain what it means to be double-minded according to Scripture, along with describing the concept of mind renewal. We'll then look at how, through the Lord's help as we allow Him to lead us in examining and processing our thoughts according to the truth of His Word, we can be of sound mind, and truly 'have the mind of Christ' (1 Corinthians 2:16)! We thank you for listening for your continued prayers and support as we share the Gospel into the world. God Bless You!!
