The boys are back! And have a football feast prepared as they examine the many ups and downs for Real Madrid and Barcelona over the past couple weeks. First, Madrid stumble yet again away at Elche in an awful performance (8:40). Then, Payton covers Barcelona's glorious return to the Camp Nou vs Athletic Club (21:30), before your hosts turn their attention to a couple exciting midweek Champions League clashes, Real Madrid traveling to Athens to face Olympiacos in a wild back-and-forth affair (32:12), and Payton details Barcelona's disastrous trip to Stamford Bridge against Chelsea (42:30). Then, the domestic struggles continue for Madrid with yet another draw, this time against lowly Girona, that heaps pressure on Xabi Alonso (1:03:02), with Barcelona's fine form continuing against Alaves (1:16:43). Also, Mbappe likely saves Alonso's job with a brace and a great team performance at the San Mames (1:29:38), and Barcelona get a signature win against La Liga rivals Atletico in a thrilling, end-to-end affair (1:41:40). Après le succès retentissant de son projet Le Cri du Caire, dont l'album éponyme a été récompensé par une Victoire du Jazz dans la catégorie «Album de musique du monde», Abdullah Miniawy revient avec Peacock Dreams, le premier opus de sa nouvelle formation en trio sorti sur le label PPL Songs Aghani Al-Khalq. Accompagné des trombonistes Robinson Khoury (Prix Django Reinhardt 2024 de l'Académie du Jazz) et Jules Boittin, Abdullah Miniawy présente une combinaison non conventionnelle de trois instruments ténors.  La profondeur lyrique de la voix du poète, chanteur et compositeur égyptien fusionne avec les capacités expressives audacieuses des deux trombones, lui permettant d'explorer des gammes sonores sans précédent qui relient les traditions musicales occidentales et orientales. Le Trio interprète les dernières compositions musicales d'Abdullah Miniawy, ainsi que des adaptations d'anciens travaux issus de la révolution égyptienne et de son ancienne formation Le Cri du Caire, tout en mettant l'accent sur les collaborations en invitant le trompettiste Erik Truffaz, l'extraordinaire chanteur de flamenco Niño de Elche, et le producteur Hvad sur certains morceaux. «Peacock Dreams» entraîne le public dans une expérience musicale unique qui combine librement des influences baroques et opératiques, des thèmes soufis et coptes et des motifs musicaux de la péninsule arabique, imprégnés de la cacophonie jazzy des embouteillages égyptiens, révélant une fois de plus le pouvoir transcendantal et communicatif de la musique d'Abdullah Miniawy.   Titres interprétés au grand studio - Danza Del Ventre Live RFI - Poem of the Poems, extrait de l'album - Peacock Dreams Live RFI. Site - Bandcamp - Instagram.   Puis nous recevons la chanteuse et comédienne brésilienne Simone Mazzer et ses acolytes français Cotonete  En 2005, quand ils forment Cotonete, les musiciens parisiens rêvent en secret d'aller jouer du funk brésilien 70's au Brésil… Devenus des spécialistes du style, le rêve devient réalité, 12 ans plus tard, grâce à la chanteuse et actrice brésilienne Simone Mazzer (chanteuse de l'année en 2015 dans la catégorie révélation) qui décide d'engager le groupe parisien pour enregistrer son 2ème disque. L'engagement se transforme très vite en collaboration, Cotonete prenant part aux choix du répertoire, aux arrangements et à la réalisation du disque. Celui-ci est préparé et enregistré à Paris au Studio Prado en juillet 2016. Il sera mixé et sortira au Brésil en 2017. Et c'est ainsi que Simone invite enfin Cotonete à venir fouler le sol brésilien. 4 concerts dont 2 merveilleux au SESC Copacabana à Rio sont organisés pour la sortie du disque. C'est au cours de cette tournée que le groupe rencontrera le chanteur Di Melo avec qui ils vont enregistrer à Sao Paolo l'album Atemporal sur lequel on retrouve le titre A.E.I.O.U.
