What have you been seeing where only the Christ is? What headlines have you been reading? What friends have you been praying for? What sicknesses have you been believing in? What have you been fearing? What shame have you been feeling? Saint Padre Pio says, "Blessed is the crisis that made you grow, the fall that made you gaze up to heaven, the problem that made you look for God. " That's the only reason why you have problems. To make you stop and look. To stop and feel. I stop and hear, and the hearing of that Silence turns into The Feeling. And It's not a feeling that has an opposite. It's not a feeling that comes and goes. It stays. And then I stay where He wants me. You are where He wants you. Look. Beyond. Appearances. So when Christ says, "You have not chosen me, I have chosen you," in the ultimate that is true because there is only the Christ. There is only the Self, consciousness, reality. Everything is reality, everything is the Christ. So the Christ cannot help but choose you. For you are the only one. "I and my father are one. If you have seen me you have the seen the father. So in truth I have chosen you. There is only the one and I am is that. Do you follow this? The Christ as you say is the ultimate reality. The Christ of the universe. This Podcast is a thank you letter to everyone involved with the annual March For Life. You are the very answer to prayer. Your presence at the March speaks volumes to us as lay men and lay women serving God. Although, I have not personally attended, I was present in prayer and in spirit as I watched, listened, and learned from all of you the importance of protecting life from inception to natural death. Close to a billion have been taken away from their mother and that choice has damaged society greatly. It has lead us down a path of pain, confusion, and immorality and it has further broken down the healthiness that a true family unit deserves and desires. I loved what I had heard from the testimony given at March for Life, a professional man of color, begging all the men who have walked away from their beloved, to please, go home. Go home and repair the damage you have created and heal that bond that was given to you. No words were more profoundly stated at the March 2024. His words struck a cord in me and I am sure a lot of people who personally experienced the wound of abortion in their lifetime. Not all men and not all women will heed this warning, but it was said in such a way that the seed of hope was planted through God and into this man's testimony. I could see the seriousness in his eyes and he meant every single word, I could see God working through him. If you did not see this years March for life go to EWTN (the Eternal Word Television Network) and watch the coverage. It may inspire you to get involved with this important mission. I am deeply thankful to the sisters of charity, the Franciscan friars of the renewal, and the Franciscan Sisters who play an important role in the healing process at every phase from conception to natural death, they are creating the hope that is needed and necessary to lead the next generation into healthier family lives. Faith. It is faith, that saves us from our sinful nature, faith and assistance of our sisters devoted to Christ and Mary, guiding us back to God's original plans. I was also greatly inspired by a woman of color, an uprising singer, who chose to save the life of her two daughters in her womb, she expressed how much she appreciated what the sisters did for her during her pregnancy and there after. Honestly, I love the fact that both men and women of color are presented in the forefront of saving babies in the womb! It is time that we as a nation show our brothers and sisters out support, and allow great leadership to prevail and I believe it has, and we will continue to trod this path of truth together in Christ, in Mary, and in honor of every single aborted child. I am so reminded when my spouse and I recently prayed outside of an abortion mill, and within twenty four hours the mill had closed for a full day. I attributed that as an answer to prayer to Saint Padre Pio, and obviously prayer is a threat to their mission, so big of a threat, a court case has in fact been brought up in Colorado to stop Catholics from praying in front of abortion mills. Forgive them Lord for they do not know what they are doing! My brothers, my sisters in Christ, our work is cut out for us as Catholics! We must never ever cease in praying for the End Of Lifers. Every prayer we pray will help guide them and bring them to the illuminated path of truth, toward curing the blindness, covering their eyes, causing great confusion inside of their minds, to the point where acts of abortion have had no serious consequences what so ever to them or to the people who have experienced abortions first hand. This my brothers, my sisters in Christ, must come to a complete halt in the name of Jesus Christ! You talent, time and treasure, are needed in this cause to promote life! Our Father's Love (Part 13) The Heavenly AngelsPsalm 103:20-21 So bless the Lord, all his messengers of power, for you are his mighty heroes who listen intently to the voice of his word to do it. Bless and praise the Lord, you mighty warriors ministers who serve him well and fulfill his desires. These verses are talking about those who help the Lord. It is talking about the angels who listen intently to the Word of the Lord and then carry out their assignments. The Lord does not need anyone or anything. He created the entire universe out of nothing. He does not need us to help Him, He does not need the angels to help Him, and He doesn't need the saints to help Him. Yet He allows us to help Him. He includes us in His great plan.I have talked of the angels before. However, I don't talk about them often. This is mostly because I do not know a lot about the angels. I have learned about them over the years. There was a two-part class that I went to about angels at Theology on Tap. I find angels interesting. Each person has their very own guardian angel. This is an angel that is assigned to look out for you. This angel is bound to our free will. So it can not do something that we do not want it to do. All creatures, demons, and angels alike have to obey our free will. This is great news with demons and spirits because that means if we tell them to leave, they have to leave. If you are feeling depressed, angry, anxious, or any other feelings you don't like, it could be a spirit causing that feeling. If so, you can say, “In the name of Jesus, I command the spirit of…(insert the feeling) to leave right now.” The spirit must leave. It can't stay without permission. The problem is that sometimes we inadvertently give spirits permission to enter our minds or our thoughts. When we partake in occult activities, like having our futures told, tarot cards, and reiki, then we are opening a door to the enemy and inviting him in. Also, if we hear the enemy whispering words in our ears, and we partner with those lies, and we accept them as truth, then we are empowering the liar. This is giving the enemy power in our lives that we don't want him to have.Another way we allow the enemy access to our lives is through hate. When we hate people, when we refuse to forgive people, we are inviting the enemy to live in that hate and that unforgiveness. We are giving the enemy power over us to keep us in that hateful state. Each time we think bad things about people, we talk about them, or we spread rumors about them, we partner with the enemy. Sin is not of the Lord; it breaks our relationship or at least damages our relationship with Him. When we do this, we are partnering with the enemy. When has partnering with the enemy ever worked out for our good? This is one reason why the angels and saints are so important. They can help us resist the enemy. They can protect us from bad things happening to us. I have heard some amazing stories of people who have been saved by angels. I mentioned we all have guardian angels. It is nice to acknowledge your angels and thank them for all they do for you. Of course, we don't see most of what they do for us, but you can bet they are not just sitting back and relaxing. Another good thing to do is to tell your angel that you give it permission to act on your behalf and to do whatever it takes to protect you. Let your angel know you give it permission and that if it protects you, it will not be against your will. Accept your angel into your life. You can talk to your angel, although I don't think they talk back like God does when you talk with Him. You can also send your angel on assignment. For instance, a friend told me your angel can be in more than one place at a time. So, when she sees an ambulance go by with its lights on or she sees an accident on the road, she will ask her angel to go and be with that person who is hurt. She will ask her angel to keep that person company and to provide them comfort and love, at least until their family gets there. I thought that was beautiful, and now I have started doing that. You can also ask your angel to talk to the angels of other people. Saint Padre Pio used to do this before any big or important meeting that he had. He would send his angel to the other people's angels and ask them to prepare the person's heart for what he was going to say. He found he had incredible results when he did this. This could be useful to all of us. We all have conversations we don't look forward to. Whether it is our boss, certain family members, certain co-workers, or a stranger, we all have to have conversations that make us nervous. From now on, before we enter one of those conversations, we can send our angel ahead of us to prepare the way. This is also true when you have a certain outcome you would like, and you aren't sure the other person will agree. Not that sending you an angel will guarantee that you get the answer you want, but it will certainly help prepare the other person in advance. They will be more open to hearing you out, at the very least.Aside from our guardian angels, the Lord has legions of angels who act on his behalf. I certainly don't know all that they are capable of doing. 2 Kings 6:15-17 gives us one example of when the Lord sent an army of angels to help Elisha. “Early the next morning, when the servant of the man of God arose and went out, he saw the force with its horses and chariots surrounding the city. “Alas!” he said to Elisha. “What shall we do, my lord?” Elisha answered, “Do not be afraid. Our side outnumbers theirs.” Then he prayed, “O Lord, open his eyes, that he may see.” And the Lord opened the eyes of the servant, and he saw that the mountainside was filled with fiery chariots and horses around Elisha.”There was another story I heard of this woman who was walking down a dark alleyway, and she saw a man at the end. She was scared, and she prayed to the Lord for protection. The mad did not do anything to her. The next day she found out that there was another woman who was attacked in that same alleyway that same night. When she went to the police to give a sketch of the guy, she was able to ask the guy why he did not attack her. He said it was because she had a tall man with her. That was an angel, as she did not have anyone with her.God is amazing! He protects us and helps us in so many ways. I only touched on a few ways in this episode. However, I recommend we all take some time and learn a little more about our guardian angels, the legions of angels, and the Saints and how they can help us. It can't hurt to be prepared and to know about all the various ways we can call on protection and help from the Lord. One very powerful prayer of protection is the St. Michael the Archangel prayer. I gave it to a friend who was suffering with anxiety the other day and she found instant relief. Here is the prayer if you want to give it a try. "St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray; and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all the evil spirits who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.”Dear Heavenly Father, I ask you to bless all those listening to this episode today. Lord, you are amazing, and we thank you for all the different ways you help and protect us. We ask you to help us be more aware of the angels in our lives. Those who are heavenly creatures and those humans who are angels to us as well. Lord, help us see our blessings more, especially in this advent season. We love you, Lord and we ask all of this in accordance with your will and in Jesus' holy name, Amen.Thank you so much for joining me on this journey to walk boldly with Jesus. I look forward to meeting you here on Monday. Remember, Jesus loves you, and so do I! Have a blessed weekend! Here is the word of prophecy from our prayer group for today: “My children, I love you, I love you, I love you! Can't you hear me crying out my love for you? The world is trying to mute me, silence me. But I love you, I love you, never doubt it. Whatever your condition is, I love you, I love you. I love the people that you reach out to. I love them as much as I love you. I want you all. I am not happy unless I have you all with me in my heart.”

Saint Padre Pio could be the patron saint of the National Eucharistic Revival. Listen to learn more! Podcast by Fr. Luke Mary Fletcher, CFR.
Saint Padre Pio was one of the most loved, yet mysterious Catholics of the 20th century. Known as a stigmatist, healer and mystic, he aspired to great holiness, both for himself and to the many who came to him for spiritual direction, who he referred to as his spiritual children. Padre Pio had the gift of bi-location, a special gift from God where an individual can be in two places at one time. This gift was also given to countless other saints, although Padre Pio had the most frequent and documented accounts during his extraordinary life.
Author Phillip Campbell talks to Timothy about Padre Pio and Phillip's historical fiction biography of the saint, Wounds of Love. Campbell gives an overview of Padre Pio's life before and after he became a Capuchin friar, relates some true stories of wonders and miracles attributed to the saint, and gives some historical context to this amazing man. May 22: Saint Rita of Cascia, Religious c. 1386–1457 Optional Memorial; Liturgical Color: White Patron Saint of abuse victims, sterility, and difficult marriages She suffered for two spouses Rita Lotti gave birth to her first son at the age of twelve. Fortunately the child was not born out of wedlock. Rita's husband had been chosen for her by her parents, and they married when she was twelve. Throughout eighteen years of marriage, Rita endured her husband's insults, physical abuse, and infidelity until the loathful man was stabbed to death by one of his many enemies. Rita pardoned her husband's killers and impeded her two sons from avenging their father's death. Marriage ends with death, so Rita was free after her husband's passing to satisfy a holy desire of her youth and entered an Augustinian convent. The leadership of the local Augustinians was reluctant to admit Rita, however, because she was not a virgin. Despite wide precedence for widows entering religious life, Rita was compelled to wait a number of years before receiving the habit. Rita was a model nun who lived to the fullest the spiritual requirements of her age. She was obedient, generously served the sick of the convent, and shared her wisdom of human nature, especially regarding marital distress, with the lay women who sought her out. Sister Rita was also devoted to prayer and meditated so deeply on the Passion of our Lord that she experienced a mini-stigmata. Instead of open wounds in her hands oozing blood, as Saint Francis and Saint Padre Pio displayed, a small wound appeared on Rita's forehead. It was as if a thorn from Christ's crown had penetrated the tightly wrapped flesh on her skull. There was no thorn visible, of course, just as no nails or spears pierced the bodies of other stigmatists. Rita's wound refused to heal for a number of years. The unique statue, or image, showing a nun with a thorn stuck in her forehead is Saint Rita, making her one of the most easily identifiable people on the calendar of Catholic saints. After Saint Rita died of natural causes, her body did not deteriorate. She was placed in an ornate tomb, her extraordinary holiness was attested to in writing, and healing miracles were petitioned for and soon granted through her intercession. These many cures led to Rita's beatification in 1626 and her canonization in 1900. Leathery black skin still covers Saint Rita‘s habited body as she peacefully reposes in a glass coffin in her shrine in Cascia, Italy. She is invoked as a kind of female Saint Jude, a patroness of impossible causes, particularly those related to the difficult vocation of marriage. Saint Rita was both a physical and a spiritual mother. She was a spouse of Christ—a perfect man, and of her husband—a flawed man. She knew intimately the vocation both to religious and to married life, giving her a certain status, or credibility, with both consecrated and married women, which few others saints enjoy. Rita's dual vocation has given her a dual attraction, which is likely the cause of her fame and the continued devotion to her so many centuries after her death. In many ways, her life in the convent was not remarkable, except for the stigmata. There were surely many other nuns in Rita's era and region whose virtue and prayerfulness stood out. Yet for reasons known to God alone and which are therefore sufficient, this nun, among so many others who brimmed with holiness, is still visited in her shrine, still invoked, and still thanked for the favors that she continues to rain down from her place in heaven. Saint Rita, through your intercession, aid all women in difficult marriages and abusive situations. Help women in distress to think rationally, to be faithful to their husbands if possible, to be devoted to their vows if they are able, and yet to flee if they are in danger.
A reading from the holy Gospel according to Matthew While [Peter] was still speaking, behold, a bright cloud cast a shadow over them, then from the cloud came a voice that said, “This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to him.” When the disciples heard this, they fell prostrate and were very much afraid. But Jesus came and touched them, saying, “Rise, and do not be afraid.” And when the disciples raised their eyes, they saw no one else but Jesus alone. Matthew describes the Transfiguration of Jesus and its overwhelming effect on its witnesses Peter, James, and John. It is as if the appearance of Moses and Elijah is just enough for them. Seeing Jesus' face shine like the sun as he converses with the two prophets, Peter suggests that they build three tents, one for each of them. And then, even as he is still speaking, Peter and the others hear the voice of God speaking to them from a bright cloud that overshadowed them. The disciples fall prostrate in fear, and it is Jesus' touch and gentle command “Rise, and do not be afraid” that allow them to raise their eyes. God, help me take in today's reading. I can't know what it means to experience the Transfiguration as the disciples experienced it. Fear and awe follow it as the disciples hear your voice on the mountain. Seeing their fear, Jesus touches them and commands them to rise and be unafraid. Yet, what I have access to, the disciples did not have: your presence in the Eucharist and in the sacraments. Is there any less awe and fear in knowing that you are present in that form, no less real than you were present to the disciples? Lord, let me hear and know your voice today with the reverence it deserves, and let me rise unafraid to do your will. From the prayer of Saint Padre Pio after Holy Communion: “Stay with me, Lord, for it is necessary to have You present so that I do not forget You. You know how easily I abandon You. Stay with me, Lord, because I am weak and I need Your strength, that I may not fall so often.” Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen. Interior rest and harmony are found in silence. Cardinal Sarah provides beautiful examples of how the very outpouring of nature is done in silence from the baby's womb to an underground river. As I sit in my prayer room reflecting on the reading for today, I glance at my statues of the many different saints in the quietness of this room. And each statue, without sayings word, brings to mind a story of how their lives continue to echo throughout the ages because of the presence of God. I imagine Saint Padre Pio or Saint John Vianny as they sit in the silence of the confessional as penitents approach and because of their own interior silence could see the souls of those seeking to reconcile with God. This is truly a harmony with God that cannot be found in the noise.

As we honor Our Lady of the Rosary today, it's a good opportunity to reflect upon this powerful prayer. The best way to reflect upon the power of the Rosary is to turn to the saints. Below you will find a number of sayings from the saints of God regarding the Rosary. Reflect upon them and let them speak to your heart. “Never will anyone who says his Rosary every day be led astray. This is a statement that I would gladly sign with my blood.” - Saint Louis de Montfort. “Of all prayers the rosary is the most beautiful and the richest in graces…love the Rosary and recite it every day with devotion.” - Saint Pius X. “How beautiful is the family that recites the Rosary every evening.” - Saint Pope John Paul II. “The Rosary is my favorite prayer. A marvelous prayer! Marvelous in its simplicity and its depth.” - Saint Pope John Paul II. “The Rosary is a priceless treasure inspired by God.” - Saint Louis de Montfort. “There is no surer means of calling down God's blessings upon the family… than the daily recitation of the Rosary.” - Pope Pius XII. “The Rosary is the most excellent form of prayer and the most efficacious means of attaining eternal life. It is the remedy for all our evils, the root of all our blessings. There is no more excellent way of praying.” - Saint Pope Leo XIII. “Give me an army saying the Rosary and I will conquer the world.” - Blessed Pope Pius IX. “If you desire peace in your hearts, in your homes, and in your country, assemble each evening to recite the Rosary. Let not even one day pass without saying it, no matter how burdened you may be with many cares and labors.” - Pope Pius XI. “Our Lady has never refused me a grace through the recitation of the rosary.” - Saint Padre Pio. “The greatest method of praying is to pray the Rosary.” - Saint Francis de Sales. “One day, through the Rosary and the Scapular, Our Lady will save the world.” - Saint Dominic.Lord, may I understand the power of this precious gift, the Holy Rosary. Give me the grace of making this part of my daily prayer. Jesus, I trust in You.Source of content: catholic-daily-reflections.comCopyright © 2022 My Catholic Life! Inc. All rights reserved. Saint Padre Pio was gifted by God with a multitude of supernatural charisms, yet he was canonized a saint for none of those. His secret to sanctity, like the message of Our Lady at Fatima, is no secret at all - he lived basic Catholic Christianity - prayers, works of mercy, and the sacraments of Christ's Church. The same means to holiness are available to all of us. Listen to learn more! Podcast by Fr. Luke Mary Fletcher, CFR.

May 22: Saint Rita of Cascia, Religiousc. 1386–1457Optional Memorial; Liturgical Color: WhitePatron Saint of abuse victims, sterility, and difficult marriagesShe suffered for two spousesRita Lotti gave birth to her first son at the age of twelve. Despite wide precedence for widows entering religious life, Rita was compelled to wait a number of years before receiving the habit.Rita was a model nun who lived to the fullest the spiritual requirements of her age. She is invoked as a kind of female Saint Jude, a patroness of impossible causes, particularly those related to the difficult vocation of marriage.Saint Rita was both a physical and a spiritual mother. Yet for reasons known to God alone and which are therefore sufficient, this nun, among so many others who brimmed with holiness, is still visited in her shrine, still invoked, and still thanked for the favors that she continues to rain down from her place in heaven.Saint Rita, through your intercession, aid all women in difficult marriages and abusive situations. Help women in distress to think rationally, to be faithful to their husbands if possible, to be devoted to their vows if they are able, and yet to flee if they are in danger.

Ortrud and Dr. Germain Bianchi have an extraordinary story of being joined together by the famous Italian stigmatist priest, Saint Padre Pio! Ortrud joins me on The Dignity of Women to tell how she came to find her Catholic faith, befriend the saint who would change her life forever, and ultimately how that saint would lead her to her future husband. Ortrud Bianchi Ortrud Bianchi was born in 1945 in Ronsperg, Czech Republic as the youngest of six children. Her family settled in a small town in Germany for a few years until her parents divorced when she was only five years old. Her mother's difficult life as a divorcee convinced her that she would never marry. Although Ortrud grew up without a religious atmosphere at home, she received religious instruction at school and the sacraments of the Catholic Church. When Ortrud was a teenager, her maternal grandmother died unexpectedly and her mother traveled to Austria for the funeral, deciding to remain there permanently. There Ortrud's mother returned with fervor to her Catholic faith after the loss of her mother, and began to fast and pray for the return of her six children to the faith as well. Meanwhile, Ortrud moved in with her oldest sister and brother-in-law in Landshut, Germany to finish her schooling and often visited her mother in Austria on school vacations. She strongly resisted her mother's new mission to convert her however, and even threatened to stop visiting if she kept talking about religion. Although her mother remained silent on the matter, she handed Ortrud a pamphlet with Jesus on the cover as their next visit came to a close. Despite accepting the pamphlet in order to avoid an argument with her mother, Ortrud avoided it until Easter vacation was about to begin. She decided to read one small page of the pamphlet in order to appease her mother at their upcoming visit. She was home alone when she finally opened the pamphlet from the diary of the Polish nun, Saint Faustina Kowalska, randomly. Jesus' words to Sister Faustina hit her like lightning as He explained that His mercy was greater than any human or angelic mind could fathom and invited every soul, no matter how sinful, to draw close to His merciful heart. Ortrud realized in that moment that Jesus loved her more than she could imagine and was convicted that she didn't want to be indifferent to Him anymore. She was overwhelmed by deep emotions of contrition and felt a force that brought her to her knees as she cried out over and over, “Jesus, from now on, I want to be your friend.” The next morning was Sunday and to her sister and brother-in-law's great shock, Ortrud woke up early and went alone to church for confession and Mass, never missing another Sunday Mass again! Meeting Padre Pio By 1964, Ortrud was living with her mother in Austria. Two years later, the family had planned to meet in Rome for her brother's wedding. When the documents for his wedding disappeared, Ortrud's mother decided to seize the opportunity for the family to use their time together to visit a holy monk named Padre Pio, who had the stigmata and lived near Rome, in San Giovanni Rotondo. At first, Ortrud was excited to see a saint, but their first experience was Padre Pio's 5:00 a.m. Mass, in which people were pushing and shoving so much that her brother-in-law lost his shoe, another person's glasses flew off their face, and people were racing down the middle aisle and jumping over the pews in such a frenzy that it seemed more like a sporting event. When Padre Pio entered the sanctuary, he looked old, weak and sickly. Ortrud felt sorry for him and for the misled people who seemed more devoted to him than to Jesus and Mary. As she watched Padre Pio celebrate Mass, she was disappointed that nothing extraordinary happened, even inside of her.
