Phil T. Mistlberger is an author, transpersonal therapist, transformational facilitator, and the founder of Arka Brotherhood. Phil has been a guest on the show a few times before when Arka was known as The Samurai Brotherhood. On this occasion Phil joins me to celebrate the 100th episode by sharing the deeper meaning behind his 14-Point Code Of The Conscious Warrior (which is listed at the bottom of the show notes). This was an insightful and impactful conversation that speaks to many of the issues men are struggling with today. Here are some of the topics we cover on this episode: 14-point Code of the Conscious Warrior. Code 1 - The importance of making your word good and maintaining integrity. The challenge of maintaining honesty and the benefits it brings to personal transformation. Code 2 - "Know Thyself," and its crucial role in personal growth. The power of the examined life and self-awareness in men's work. Men’s tendency to avoid looking inward and focus excessively on the external world. The role of men's groups in providing a space for reflection and growth. Code 8 - Understanding the balance between passion and compassion in life. Code 4 - The journey of finding the Holy Grail: a man's true calling and higher purpose. The impact of modern technology on attention spans. Code 6 - The concept of gathering courage and consistently moving forward in life. The potential pitfalls of becoming isolated as a leader. Exploring the need for silence, space, and the gap between thoughts. Code 7 - How holding space for others is a valuable practice. The nature of leadership in Arka. Men's work as a method for overcoming isolation and cultivating support. Code 14 - The importance of family connections. Personal stories from Phil’s journey. Why modern men might want to join Arka Pain and suffering as catalysts for change and growth. Appreciation and gratitude for the community built around Arka and the rising tide of men's work. Ben Goresky spent his early adult life as an addictions counsellor, & holds a bachelor's degree in Addictions Counselling. He coachs men in 1st and 2nd stage recovery using a holistic approach to accelerate their healing and achieve a full recovery from addiction. As a leader in The Samurai Brotherhood, a community for conscious men, he draws on his experience in the realms of addiction, & transpersonal therapy to support men in improving their relationships, and their success in the world. His dream is to live in a world where everybody knows their value, feels loved, and is in touch with their purpose. & the work he does truly is helping that dream come true. What we discuss in this episode: -part of what brought him to this work was that “he had met his match & knew that if he didn't level up that he would probably sabotage the relationship” -It's not your job to tell your partner when they're projecting -“your dream partner will become your nightmare, and we need to learn to resolve the nightmare without forcing the other person to change…” -why men have such a hard time taking suggestions from women. Is it a mother wound or is it our culture? - “If you think you're enlightened, spend a week with your family” do we ever stop getting triggered? -How we can truly set aside our ego so that we can hold space for our partner -Learning to hold and love our partners inner child -the US vs THEM sickness that many of us have -The best distraction your mind can create to prevent you from looking inward is to have someone else to blame -How he asks his men's group, “I think I'm better than other people because___” & what happens in the group when this is answered honestly -Why we are all so selfish but refuse to acknowledge it -intellectualism as a common cover-up for fear of direct experiences (intellectual bypassing) -letting yourself be imperfect -BEING alone with our thoughts Books mentioned: king warrior magician lover AFFILIATES: Pleasure Wands & Yoni eggs: https://waands.com/?ref=MvvfOgLGokjDQQ CODE “JADE” for a discount Royal Codes Goddess Wear: Royal Codes | Goddess Wear CODE “JADE” for a discount CBD DirectHemp.com - A Better Way to CBD CODE “JADE” for a discount HigherDOSE Infrared products: CODE “JADE75” for $75 off Intro music: Milckmusic.com @milckmusic on TikTok, ig, fb, Twitter Somebodysbeloved.com Production: Reel In Motion https://instagram.com/untamedandunashamedpodcast?utm_medium=copy_link See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

It is such a joy to meet a human being dedicated to evolution, self discovery, and insight. It's our pleasure to introduce to you the accentless Englishman, now profoundly Canadian, Geoff Mackenzie! Citizen of the world, swimmer, rugby player, and avid skier… Mysore teacher and Yogic Health Coach. He tells us how his practice has evolved over these past few year, becoming less strict. He's created a more adaptive approach, more personal, and not dependent on needing to “show your practice off” in Mysore, India. You'll hear us talk about how to maintain your practice as you age. What was particularly touching was listening to Geoff speak about his blossoming awareness to the unique issues facing men around connecting to their masculinity in a “non-toxic” kind of way. He touches upon the need for men to relearn how to speak to one other openly and honestly and hold each other accountable. He facilitates such a gathering within the container of an organization called “The Samurai Brotherhood.” Geoff Mackenzie has been practicing yoga for over 20 years and teaching classes since 2004. His guidance is informed by his extensive study with the Jois family in Mysore, India, combined with occasional input from veteran Western practitioners. Modern approaches to strength, mobility, and breath-work training feature in his own practice too. On episode 54 I connected with Ben Goresky. I met Ben through the Samurai Brotherhood, a men's work organized launched in Vancouver by P.T. Mistlberger years ago, Ben is among the new wave of leaders that are bringing this work to a new generation of men, including myself. Ben shares his story of growing up with some serious issues in what might seem like a perfect family from the outside, and how this lead him to rehab as a teenager, and how this changed the trajectory of his path. In recent years Ben has dove deep into plant medicines, mens coaching and group work, co-created a couples course with his wife Sheleana and just recently launched one of the few online mens work programs, The Integrated Man. I really enjoyed the conversation with Ben, he has a ton of energy and is bringing an amazing light to the world with a lot of takeaways and actionable pieces from his courses, podcast and the Samurai Brotherhood. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/into-the-well/support

Since 2009, Jordan Gray has made it his life's mission to help as many people as possible create their most fulfilling, passionate, love-filled lives. His way of doing this has been through publishing books and hundreds of articles, coaching clients one-on-one in deep-dive sessions, leading weekly men's groups, and teaching at seminars. To date, his writing has reached over 80 million readers. In this conversation, Jordan and I dive deep into how to have better relationships, find our purpose, improve sex life, and deal with suicide attempts, men's work, and more.We start the conversation with Jordan's childhood and the struggles he had to face growing up. Jordan's relationship with his siblings and his parents was complicated, and this made him feel isolated which ultimately led to him suffering in silence to the point where he attempted suicide. We unpack how that happened, the way his family reacted to it made him think differently about his relationship with them and how he overcame his challenges. As a young adult, Jordan had quite an adventurous life for a few years going through relationships, breakups, and trying new things. We talk about what he learned from these experiences and some strategies young people can utilize to build a mindset that helps them become successful and happy. We also talk about how being a “Nice Guy” affects our lives and how to grow beyond it. One of the key milestones in Jordan's life is joining a men's group called the Samurai Brotherhood. Jordan talks about what a men's group is and what he learned from it.Oftentimes, men have a tendency to keep their pain inside without asking for help from loved ones. Jordan shares his take on why this happens and how to create the mindset that allows us to get out of this behavior. Jordan has an interesting perspective on how men view their relationships and sex. We talk about how the way men think about sex is different from what women expect, what makes a good lover, how extended consumption of porn drags us away from reality, and more tips & tricks to improve relationships. Wrapping up the episode, we talk about some of the exciting projects Jordan has planned for upcoming months and how our listeners can get involved.

Episode 018 is your call back to the tribe. As a lifelong lone-wolf, I am speaking from my current, personal experience when I say that joining a tribe is the most potent thing you can do on your journey to living a more authentic, aligned, wild and free life. In this episode, I share my journey going from isolation and solitude to not only joining a tribe, but creating one. We talk about the difference between solitude and isolation, how I came to realize we need other people, how I found my tribe, and why I built Wild, the community for women who are done half-living to gather in circle and reconnect to their true nature. This episode is special because reconnecting to the tribe and gathering in circle is really new for me and it's something I never thought I'd have and never knew I needed.
