In this episode of the Modern Man Podcast, host Ted Phaeton engages with Preston Smiles, an abundance and personal freedom coach, who shares his transformative journey from a heart condition at 25 to becoming a spiritual millionaire. They discuss the importance of understanding money as a tool, the significance of nervous system healing, and the necessity of overcoming trauma to embrace one's worthiness. Preston emphasizes the need for community and mentorship in personal growth, and the conversation highlights the parallels in their journeys of self-discovery and empowerment. In this conversation, Preston Smiles and Ted Phaeton delve into the complexities of trauma, shame, and healing. They discuss how materialism can mask deeper issues, the biological underpinnings of trauma, and the importance of community in the healing process. Preston emphasizes the need to confront and release suppressed emotions, highlighting that true healing requires both body and mind alignment. The discussion also touches on the pervasive nature of shame, the significance of owning one's past, and practical steps for processing trauma. Ultimately, they underscore the beauty of life and the importance of connection in overcoming personal struggles. Takeaways We all have a similar purpose to reflect God's love. Money is a tool, not what sustains us. Elevation requires separation from old habits and relationships. Anger can become toxic when linked to unforgiveness. Self-belief and worthiness are crucial for personal growth. Nervous system healing is essential for holding abundance. Trauma can stack and affect our ability to thrive. Community and mentorship are vital for personal development. Forgiveness is a powerful tool for emotional healing. Our backgrounds do not define our potential. Materialistic markers can mask deeper issues. Trauma is held in the body and affects our lives. Healing requires both body and mind alignment. Community plays a crucial role in healing. Shame can stem from being a victim or a villain. Owning our past is essential for healing. Anger can be a constructive emotion. Finding a safe space to share is vital. We all have unprocessed trauma that needs addressing. Life's challenges are opportunities for growth. We're getting a little juicy in episode 11. Michael Author is a Sexual Guide for Men and a Dream Technologist. Founder of the Dreaming Society and wtfdyw.com (what the fuck do you want dot com). Listen is as Michael and I discuss Depth Sexuality and Dreamscape Technology. We're getting into the personal stuff like common barriers in deepening intimacy in relationships (intimacy is more than sex and sex is an important part of it), ways to re-ignite desire in long term relationships, the importance of paying attention to your dreams if you want to create a life that truly supports you, and the BS idea that men and women cannot be genuine friends even if there is mutual attraction at play. I have to laugh when we talked about the benefits of novelty... Michael and I were talking about different things there for a min. :) Thanks for tuning in to All the Things ☺️

In this week's episode I share a big announcement around me stepping into a new chapter of being more myself. I dig into more of my own story around doing work around healing my own lack of self worth and how some really big layers were healed recently which led to a big realization that I share in the episode. This one gets pretty personal, I hope you guys enjoy a little peek behind the curtain. Also, not sure why but there's some little blips in the audio periodically. Not sure why, some sort of technical issue that should be fixed for next time :)Also, here's one of the books I mentioned about the science around intergenerational trauma: www.audible.ca/pd/It-Didnt-Start-with-You-Audiobook/B06Y2J4L1T Do you want to get a free coaching session and help me show more people how powerful this healing work can be? Today I share a solo episode with you all about shame and shutting down. I've personally been learning a lot about the nervous system and trauma over the past few years and incorporating more from this into my work, and these topics are big parts of this. You've likely all heard about being in a fight or flight mode when there's perceived danger, but there's also what's known as the freeze response, or shutting down. This response often goes along with shame, which is why I'm digging into them together today. If you want to dig more into this topic, here's a great book that dives deep on it: www.audible.ca/pd/Healing-the-Shame-That-Binds-You-Audiobook/B06ZY3TRVPDo you want to help me show more people how powerful this healing work can be and get a free session out of it? After multiple near-death experiences, Mas is able to see the underlying patterns that cause our lives to be what they are, help eliminate blocks and distortions and unlock the true human potential. Using the power of frequencies, Mas is able to “tap-in” and answer any question about life or death, helping listeners transform simply by listening. Mas refers to this amazing knowledge as Xponential Intelligence, and after just a brief session or simply listening to his frequency work, people have reported massive changes in all aspects of their lives. In this episode we dig into his story, and near death experiences, and talk about how frequency is the main key for people achieving what they desire in life. We go down the rabbit hole in this one, and Mas channels some specific wisdom for our audience. This was an awesome interview to give, and I think you guys will love it! Chris White helps people who are addicted to, or struggle with their use of porn and sex. After years spent working on his own recovery, in 2021 he began coaching groups and individuals who are looking for a life free of porn (or out of control sexual behaviours) and full of confidence, joy, and satisfaction. He has studied and practiced a wide range of approaches to moving out of addiction and into health and recovery, and combines that knowledge and experience with genuine compassion, patient listening and witnessing, and intuitive questioning, to help others find their own way back to health, wholeness, and integrity. He believes, as Johann Hari says, that “the opposite of addiction is connection”, and that connection (to ourselves and to others) both underpins, and evolves through, the journey of recovery. He currently works with Matt Dobscheutz of Porn Free Radio, and is preparing to launch his own independent group coaching practice in the coming months which you can learn more about by visiting his website:www.selfregained.com Are you ready to step up and claim the last spot in our group or dive in on some private 1-1 support? In today's episode, I dig into the topic of intimacy! In my market research interviews I've been doing, one of the main things that people wanted to understand more about their partners was to know more about what was going on under the surface...They wanted to know more about the intimate details. Especially the people on this path of doing the inner work. They wanted to understand their partners emotional patterns, get to know their inner child, their desires, their kinks, their attractions, what they were feeling, etc. This is all pretty deep stuff, and can be scary to dig into. In this episode I talk about creating safety to be able to have these convos, and give you some more prompts to help you dig into them with your partner. And again, in the episode I mention one specific tool that can help you create more open communication called a conscious connection dyad, and here's a free framework you can download and try out with your partner to start practicing this: https://drive.google.com/file/d/17HUDuj_JkZvna_8Q0b6CGPFopNbIFJPG/view?usp=sharing Are you ready to step up and claim the last spot in our group or dive in on some private 1-1 support? In this episode I talk about a simple, effective tool that you can use to help you and your partner create deeper connection on a regular basis. Often, when things build up that we're not willing to share, resentment is created and we start to push each other apart. In order to come back together, it's important to be able to clear the blocks, say the things that need to be said, and come back to love and connection. This tool of conscious connection dyads is fantastic for helping you and your partner empty out the bucket, get rid of blocks between you, and come back to feeling connected again! I personally recommend using this practice once a week together so that things don't get too built up or get ignored for long periods of time. I created a framework you can download and use to guide you through the process too! In this episode, I dig into how we listen to the whispers of our higher self. Our higher self, or intuition is always talking to us. Most of us just don't get quiet enough to listen, so we often get caught off guard when life yells at us, instead of listening to the whispers. Leah Brathwaite is a best selling author, spiritual teacher and entrepreneur. Through her writing, courses and mentorship she helps women (and some men!) live into their fullest potential by reconnecting to their truth, uncovering their purpose and stepping into their power to create positive change in the world. In this episode, Leah shares some of her story around how she finally listened to the nudges from her soul and started following her inner calling, even though it meant rebuilding her whole life from the ground up!We go into how she helps people connect with themselves and their inner voice, and some practices you can take on to learn to listen to the whispers, and avoid the cosmic 2x4 that can come swinging for you when you ignore them. Are you ready to step up and join one of our groups or dive in on some private 1-1 support? In this episode, I talk all about integration, and why this is such an important part of the journey. Since I go into it so often on the show, I felt like it'd be a good idea to dig into the topic a little deeper, as it really is the most important part of the work.Enjoy! Are you ready to step up and join one of our groups or dive in on some private 1-1 support?
