This week on our Fertility Springboard Podcast ( https://www.fertilityhelphub.com/fertility-springboard-podcast ) , we had the pleasure of being joined by guest, Shannon M. Clark, MD, MMS, FACOG ( https://babiesafter35.com/shannon-clark-md-mms/ ) *,* a double board certified Obstetrician, Gynecologist and Maternal-Fetal Medicine Specialist in Texas, to discuss the implications of having babies after 35. Dr. Clark has taken a special interest in pregnancy after the age of 35, which according to age alone, is considered a high-risk pregnancy. She was inspired not only by the experiences of friends and patients, but also by her own personal experience of trying to conceive at the age of 40. Dedicated to her education, training and career for 15+ years, Dr. Clark married at the age of 39 and began trying to start her family at age 40. After five failed cycles of IVF, she was able to become pregnant via an egg donor and delivered twins Sydney Renée and Rémy Vaughn in September 2016. Listen as we discuss Dr. Clark's personal story of having babies after 35 via an egg donor and what women should consider when trying to conceive later in life. Dr. Clark also gives her thoughts on celebrities who've had babies after 35 and whether this gives false hope. As a women's health writer, she has written for The Huffington Post, Mind Body Green, Glamour, Houston Moms Blog, Self Magazine and The Washington Post. *Listen in full below or via your favourite Podcast app…* *Simply click ‘view in browser' on the image below or listen via any of the following podcast apps:* Apple ( https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/fertility-spingboard/id1500594001 ) | Spotify ( https://open.spotify.com/show/4eZopwNZckAuEbVWpq0yAm?si=wdO1ieTNQfmRWwER4rjRSg ) | Soundcloud ( https://soundcloud.com/fertility-springboard )
