For the memorial Day weekend, I am repeating a show i first aired when this podcast was just getting started. It is the actual audio recording of the "Laughs" TV Show which aired in 1987 on ABC, and stars Tony Edwards, Terry Dadd, and a good Friend of mine...Bruce "Babyman" Baum. Good funny material I know you'll enjoy!Listen, laugh, & Share!Tony Edwards, Terry Dadd, and Bruce Baum are all seasoned stand-up comedians who have showcased their comedic talent on the TV show "Laughs Unlimited," with expansive careers including roles in various movies. From Tony Edwards' perspective, stand-up comedy is a way to connect with audiences through observational humor, storytelling, impersonations, and cultural references. He utilizes his acting experience to poke fun at public figures and personal situations like aging and cultural stereotypes. On the other hand, Terry Dadd sees stand-up comedy TV shows as an opportunity to engage with viewers and introduce other comedians. His humor often includes observational jokes about commercials and quirky anecdotes. Similarly, Bruce Baum views these TV shows as a platform to exhibit original and entertaining comedy sets, often revolving around humorous anecdotes and observational humor. His unique ability to use props like shopping bags as instruments emphasizes his belief in the importance of creativity in comedy. Their perspectives are shaped by their expansive backgrounds in the comedy scene and their shared interest in connecting with audiences through humor.00:02:21) Local TV Show 'Laughs' with Unique Acts(00:09:06) "Baum's Weatherman Jargon and Punk Encounters"(00:12:20) Melodic Nostalgia: Albums and Beautiful Melodies(00:20:05) Comedic Magic Trick Performance with Self-Love TwistSupport the Show.Standup Comedy Podcast Network.co www.StandupComedyPodcastNetwork.comFree APP on all Apple & Android phones....check it out, podcast, jokes, blogs, and More! For short-form standup comedy sets, listen to: "Comedy Appeteasers" , available on all platforms.New YouTube site: https://www.youtube.com/@standupcomedyyourhostandmc/videosVideos of comics live on stage from back in the day. Please Write a Review: in-depth walk-through for leaving a review.Interested in Standup Comedy? Welcome to My Internet Diary hosted by Jordan Daniel. Join us as we take an in depth and unqualified look into the internet searches of our guest. Each week we'll be clicking the 'I'm Feeling Lucky' button of their minds to find the sometimes weird, but always wonderful, reasons behind each search. This week's guest, Tony Cantwell, searches for help amongst the food isles of Lidl, but only finds eggs (on his face!).
This week our guest, Tony Cantwell, joins us for the second time and tells us how he's been dealing with his new found viral fame, and how he's found himself tangled up in the dark underworld of the mythical Dublin Pintmen! He also fills us in how to really get clean, you know, down there! Join us as we take an in depth and unqualified look into the internet searches of our guests. Each week we click the 'I'm Feeling Lucky' button of their minds to find the sometimes weird, but always wonderful, reasons behind each search.
In this very special episode we say goodbye (he's not dead, don't worry!) to our guest and long time friend of the show, Tony Cantwell, as he leaves the old smoke of London Town (City) for the home shores of Dublin Town (City). Ever the dude with 'tude, he lets us into the google searches he's made whilst living a bachelor lifestyle these last few weeks, and explains all things Japanese, like eating live animals and kicking monks in the nuts.
In this monstrously fun packed episode Jordan is joined in the studio by the Sexy Beast podcast, otherwise known as Marc Jago and Tony Cantwell. Jordan pitches the boys a brand new scary creature for them to rate and review (like they do on their own podcast except its on this one). They discuss their recent live show, where Jago insulted every one involved. Tony reveals his compulsion to delete old tweets in light of recent Hollywood scandals, just to be safe that is, and Jago spreads awareness of the subbiest of Japanese sub cultures. Also, what is a Longbottom? Is it a boy Jordan went to school with? Is it a weird disease? Is it a phrase taken from a book for nerds? Plus, Hollywood legend and Oscar winning actor Nic Cage stops by to chat movies and bang off a couple of his famous lines!
Yes we're back! And yes it has been a year and half but we're back! I said we're back!! And who better to kick off season 3 than the Podcast Don himself, friend of the show, Tony Cantwell. How much does it cost for Tony's alter ego to write a Lion King/Simpsons crossover erotic novel? Why are children selling Nintendo Switches online but not delivering on the goods? Do parentheses make words invisible? Why is Matt Damon Fighting Jordan in SuperValu? All is revealed in this jam packed episode of My Internet Diary.
Hudson Street WAS a show. Tony Danza plays yet another character named Tony in this story about a divorced police detective in Hoboken, New Jersey. Finally ready to give love another chance, Tony gets set up on a date with newspaper writer Melanie, played by Lori Loughlin. The catch? He's a tough-on-crime conservative, and she…pretty much just believes in basic civil liberties and due process. In another twist, she lands the city police beat for the New York Times, so now they have to work together! Candyman...candyman...candyman...candyman...yeah right! We're not saying it a 5th time, are you nuts!?! This Clive Barker joint is a slice of horror heaven set in a brutalist Chicago background with a kickass Philip Glass score. The film takes place in the socially complex setting of the notorious Cabrini Green housing projects, but the film uses the wanna-be-white savior Virginia Madsen and powerhouse horror king Tony Todd to show its audience that maybe...just maybe...the fear we project on less desirable neighborhoods comes from the evil that's inside us all along.
