Returning guest, television writer, producer and director Jeff Greenstein (Will & Grace, Friends, Desperate Housewives), makes the case that Electric Light Orchestra were - at their core - a fantastic 'singles' band. The 1979 compilation 'ELO's Greatest Hits' showcases the pop-genius of leader Jeff Lynn, as he meticulously crafted weirdly wonderful rock hits that combined classical orchestration with pop, rock and soul that somehow managed to become classic rock staples. Songs featured in this episode: The Story Of A Rock and Roll Band - Randy Newman; Will and Grace Theme - Jonathan Wolff; National Brotherhood Week - Tom Lehrer; Don't Bring Me Down - Electric Light Orchestra; Fly Like An Eagle - Steve Miller; Rockaway Beach - Ramones; Xanadu - Electric Light Orchestra (Featuring Olivia Newton John); Do Ya - The Move; Rattled - Traveling Wilburys; Scenes From An Italian Restaurant - Billy Joel; Evil Woman, Livin' Thing - Electric Light Orchestra; T.S.O.P. (The Sound Of Philadelphia) - MFSB; Can't Get It Out Of My Head - Electric Light Orchestra; Where Is My Mind? - Pixies; Showdown - Electric Light Orchestra; I Heard It Through The Grapevine - Marvin Gaye; For A Few Dollars More (Main Theme) - Ennio Morricone; I Am The Walrus - The Beatles; 10538 Overture, Turn To Stone, Rockaria!, Roll Over Beethoven, Sweet Talkin' Woman - Electric Light Orchestra; Do You Believe In Love - Huey Lewis & The News; Sweet Talkin' Woman (Take 2 Classic Cover) - The New Pornographers; Andy Warhol - David Bowie; Telephone Line - Electric Light Orchestra; Wish You Were Here - Pink Floyd; Ma-Ma-Ma Belle, Strange Magic - Electric Light Orchestra; Do You Remember Walter - The Kinks; Mr Blue Sky - Electric Light Orchestra; A Day In The Life - The Beatles; Video Killed The Radio Star - The Buggles; The Office Theme Song - Jay Ferguson; Little Drummer Boy - Neil Diamond; Day Tripper - Electric Light Orchestra (Live in Long Beach California, 1974)
Please don't let me be misunderstood, but isn't it time to admit that when it comes to reviewing the AT40, we are the champions. I mean the very fact that you're reading this means here you come again. Now I know what you're saying, “you can't turn me off in the middle of turning me on”. Well before you go slip slidin' away to the point of no return, I'm saying baby come back to swing town. I mean, the way I feel tonight, I am confident to review the Billboard Top 40 from the week of January 7, 1978 my way. Locked On Golden Knights - Daily Podcast On the Vegas Golden Knights
Mark Stone was skating with the third line in Monday's practice. That would be a pretty potent third line if Stone, who is a gametime decision, skates with Max Pacioretty and Chandler Stephenson on this road swing. Stone hasn't played since February 9th and was on the LTIR with a back injury. His return could also mean salary cap complications for VGK. Stone could very well be on a "pitch count" if he returns this week. Max Pacioretty played less than 15 minutes in his return against Arizona Saturday. We will have to see how Stone's back responds when he returns. Alex Pietrangelo also said on Monday that he needs to harness a lot of his energy, since his minutes on the ice have been reduced with the return of Martinez and McNabb. The Golden Knights also were skating with seven blue liners, which took away ice time from Pietrangelo and balanced playing time. We also have Tony's keys to Tuesday night's VGK-Vancouver game. James Ziskin discusses his newest novel, Turn To Stone, a 1960s-era locked-room mystery taking Ellie Stone to Italy, a seemingly idyllic setting, which in this case has sinister undertones. The story puts an inventive twist on Boccaccio’s Decameron and takes the reader on a richly-imagined and entertaining journey to Florence and the Tuscan countryside. Jim's books have been finalists for the Edgar, Barry, and Lefty awards. He worked in New York as a photo-news producer and then as director of NYU’s Casa Italiana before spending 15 years in the Hollywood postproduction industry, running large international operations in the subtitling and visual effects fields. He also spent four years in India and speaks Italian and French. Turn To Stone is the seventh in the Ellie Stone series and a must read!
This Week: Did President Trump interfere in his former associate Roger Stone's prison sentence? FOX’s Washington Correspondent Rachel Sutherland and FOX’s DOJ producer Jake Gibson discuss the case and why Democrats are calling for investigations. It’s been a week since President Trump was acquitted by the Senate, ending his impeachment trial. Jared and FOX’s Congressional Correspondent Chad Pergram discuss the post-impeachment Congress. Making healthcare cheaper and prescription drugs more affordable has been a bipartisan agreement, but Democrats and advocacy groups are saying the president broke that promise with his new budget proposal. Jared spoke with Dan Adcock, director of Government Relations and Policy for the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare about the president’s budget proposal and what he’s not hearing from Democrats running for President. Jared and FOX News Radio’s Political Analyst Josh Kraushaar recap this week’s New Hampshire primary, discuss the winners and losers and preview what to expect heading into Super Tuesday.

Bo is back, bitches, and she's taking no prisoners. However, the Una Mens end the evening's proceedings with a rather disconcerting revelation. In between Lauren and Tamsin take giant steps forward while Kenzi's regressed to a character full of self-pity and regret. Dave and Wayne actually agree on most of the major plot points, and the guys make three Doctor Who references that are totally salient.

Whilst Paul is on his holidays, Phil enlists the help of new friend to the show Stephen Prescott from the rather excellent Mad Man With A Box Podcast to discuss The Fires of Pompeii. During the discussion, Stephen educates Phil on Latin textbooks and they both go wildly off tangent and delve into the merits of RTD versus The Moff and whether longstanding fans requests for classic monsters such as Ice Warriors and Zygons to return to the show would be a good thing. Also in a very short news section, John Barrowman wants Captain Jack to return to Doctor Who and an actress who appeared in Doctor Who over 50 years ago reaches the grand age of 100. And because of that, we are claiming her as our own first Doctor Who centenarian. Join us!! Twitter: @MadManBoxPod Website: A Mad Man With A Box Podcast
Joe Walsh - Turn To Stone Those American girls gave brilliant performances on the gym floor in Beijing this year, even when the odds seemed stacked against them. (No way in hell that all of those Chinese girls were at least 15. Just no friggin' way.) I was immediately impressed by Nastia Liukin's elegance and fluidity, but, damn girl, maybe you could smile a little?! I don't think she cracked a grin until she triumphed in the All-around. Perhaps it's a way of psyching out her opponents or something. I don't know. I began to think of her as "Stone Face." So, here's today's flashback, from the 1972 album, Barnstorm, here's Joe Walsh with Turn To Stone, in honor of the Stone Face and her Olympic feats. (Note: I prefer this version of the song to his 1975 reworking on So What.)
