Nick Alberga & Zack Phillips break down a wild day at the Milan Games, headlined by Canada's thrilling 4-3 OT win over Czechia. Former Maple Leaf Mitch Marner — often criticized for not delivering in the biggest moments — silenced the noise (at least temporarily) by burying the OT winner. The goal set off a social media frenzy, with the hockey world — including Roberto Luongo, Chris Pronger, Mark Stone, and Jon Cooper — taking playful jabs at the Maple Leafs.Meanwhile, Leafs captain Auston Matthews picked up an assist on Quinn Hughes' OT winner as USA edged Sweden 2-1 to punch their ticket to the semifinals. With the loss, William Nylander and Oliver Ekman-Larsson are officially heading home.Back in Toronto, the Maple Leafs returned to the ice ahead of next Wednesday's return to action. The boys react to encouraging updates, including Dakota Joshua, Morgan Rielly, and even Chris Tanev skating again.Plus, NHL Insider David Pagnotta joins the show to discuss Toronto's looming March 6 trade deadline plans and what this stretch run could look like coming out of the break.#LeafsForever #LeafsMorningTake

Vegas Golden Knights GM Kelly McCrimmon in conversation! A busy few days of trades saw Vegas land Rasmus Andersson from Calgary after extension issues steered the deal away from Boston, continuing the Golden Knights tradition of bold swings. Vancouver moved Kiefer Sherwood to San Jose for draft picks and depth, giving the Canucks five picks in the top 50, while the Sharks add energy and puck retrieval. In New York, Chris Drury told Rangers fans the plan is to re-tool, not rebuild, but trade protection for Panarin, Zibanejad, and Miller complicates matters, and Panarin appears unlikely to return on a new deal. Matthew Tkachuk had a wild first game back, highlighted by a heavy hit and a rare Bobrovsky versus Nedeljkovic goalie fight, while Florida faces a playoff squeeze without Barkov for the rest of the regular season. Then, Kelly McCrimmon joins the show to discuss the return the Flames got for Andersson, the impact that injuries have had on their season, the importance of Mark Stone, and the coming circus around Mitch Marner’s return to Toronto.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Welcome to the DFO Rundown with Jason Gregor and Mike Rupp!Gregor and Rupp start by looking at the teams struggling in the West and what the Vancouver Canucks should do right now. Will Quinn Hughes be on the move out of Vancouver if struggles continue? The guys look at superstars who were traded mid-season and the rarity of a high-calibre player being moved at the deadline. Two teams with slightly surprising starts in the East are starting to fall back down to Earth. Who are you more concerned about — Pittsburgh or Montréal?JT Miller has come under fire for a lack of effort on a goal against Tuesday versus Vegas. Rupp breaks down the Rangers captain and what might be hampering the forward. Is the recent stretch by Pittsburgh more reflective of what was expected from this Penguins team? Was their hot start unsustainable? Is Benjamin Kindel the future for the Pittsburgh Penguins?Alex Ovechkin scored three more goals last night and tied Bobby Hull for the fifth-most hat tricks in NHL history. Ovi is 17 hat tricks behind the Great One, but another record is in sight as he sits eight games away from tying Gretzky for the most multi-goal games. How many goals will the Great Eight finish with in his career?Sidney Crosby and Alex Ovechkin both sit in the top ten in NHL points. Given the success of Nathan MacKinnon and Connor McDavid, plus the hot starts from even younger players like Macklin Celebrini and Connor Bedard, which active player will be next to break major records?Connor Hellebuyck is undergoing a minor arthroscopic knee procedure that will sideline him for 4–6 weeks. How concerned should the Jets and Team USA be?Next, Rupp gives his projected Team USA roster. Alex DeBrincat and Jason Robertson join the roster, while Brock Nelson and Clayton Keller drop out from his last projection. Do young players like Spencer Knight and Cutter Gauthier deserve spots on the American roster? Is Kiefer Sherwood a wildcard to make Team USA given his skill set?Gregor gives his Team Canada roster projections. Young guns Connor Bedard and Macklin Celebrini join his projected squad as Mark Stone and Seth Jarvis drop out. Jakob Chychrun is the only change on the back end for Gregor, as he replaces Travis Sanheim on the projected roster. Is Scott Wedgewood's start worthy of a spot as one of the three Canadian goaltenders?Lastly, the guys discuss the Mikko Rantanen hit on Alexander Romanov in the Stars–Isles game and the reaction from New York's coach, Patrick Roy.Want to hear more from Jason and the entire DFO team? Send us a textIn this captivating episode of Inside the Bunghole, the team sits down with Mark Stone, a seasoned restaurateur and business partner of Chef Angelo Sosa, to explore his culinary ventures across the country. From Tía Carmen in Indian Wells and Phoenix to Makoto in Vail and Knife Italian Steak in Dallas, Mark shares how his background in international finance evolved into a career in high-end hospitality. His love for wine, first sparked during his Harvard days via a student-led tasting group, continues to influence his approach to restaurant curation. His restaurants aren't just award-winning for their food—Tía Carmen, for example, recently earned a Wine Spectator Award of Excellence for its diverse and thoughtful wine program.Mark dives deep into his philosophy around restaurant development, wine list curation, and sourcing, emphasizing sustainability and locality—from Coachella Valley produce to Santa Monica farmers' markets and Sea of Cortez seafood. He walks listeners through the rigorous process of selecting restaurant locations, why hotels offer strategic advantages, and how travel is a key ingredient in creating authentic concepts. Whether it's partnering with chefs to build thoughtful menus or flying to Asia for inspiration, Mark insists the process must include both creative exploration and hard business sense. He also gives listeners a taste of their luxurious dishes—like aged mole and steaks with bone marrow butter paired with bold reds. The conversation wraps with Mark's views on wine education and service, praising his staff for delivering elevated yet approachable dining experiences. He discusses how wines are selected to match both the Southwestern cuisine and regional guest preferences, with the help of world-class sommeliers like Eduardo Dingler. He also touches on the importance of inclusivity on a wine list—featuring both premium and affordable selections. With humor, humility, and a touch of Harvard sophistication, Mark offers rare insight into how excellence in hospitality is built, sustained, and elevated.Cheers!
