While digital signage remains one of the most powerful tools in history for advertising and communication, there remains one great limitation to placing those screens where they are most effective: power. For example, retailers have historically been restricted in their ability to place screens where they channel the most purchasing behavior (let alone moving those screens as needed) because of the cost in time, labor, and money for rewiring an area of a store — or, if they use batteries, the cost in labor and time in replacing those batteries, to say nothing of the consequences of unplanned downtime due to dead batteries. This is why the wireless power revolution, spearheaded by Wi-Charge, a wireless power solutions firm, is transforming digital signage applications across retail, hospitality, and more (with ramifications for parallel applications across smart homes and other categories).Ori Mor, co-founder and VP research and development at Wi-Charge, joined Digital Signage Today editor Daniel Brown via videolink to discuss the invention, growth, and future of wireless power, for digital signage and beyond.

This includes advanced technologies such as interactive digital signage. In fact, the management of Millennium and SpinetiX shared such a mutual admiration of each other's business philosophy and practice that SpinetiX chose to make Millennium its new headquarters, while Millennium adopted SpinetiX hardware and software to power its interactive digital signage networks.Sharing the story of SpinetiX and Millennium's partnership in digital signage, Ziliani explained how the project helped to illustrate major trends in the digital signage industry, key lessons for success among operators and businesses leveraging signage, and powerful insights for the future of the digital signage industry.
