I just had a week that was, objectively, very good. I was productive, got to go to an in-person callback audition for an indie film, and was put on avail for a national commercial. All in all, major wins, right? In hindsight, I can say yes. But in the moment, I was absolutely devastated. It was hard for me to see what I had accomplished because I had so many negative emotions and thoughts swirling around in my mind. And that is so common in the actor world, where we ricochet back and forth alongside the peaks and valleys of this career. So I walk you through what I did to bring me back to myself again after losing my way. After living alone for a year, it's time I share the lessons I've learned, my tips, and answer all of your questions. Living alone has been the best thing to ever happen for my personal growth, but that's not to say that there's hasn't been rough patches. In this episode I go over all of the things that I've experienced as a 20-something-year- old who lived on her own for the first time.
Grant Richie is a professional chukar hunting guide, roaming (and floating) Hell's Canyon and surrounds from his base at Minam Store. A fourth-generation resident, he knows the area like nobody else, and he also knows chukars. Grant will share his hard-earned wisdom, tips and strategies, tactics and advice on everything from the magic and history of the "Chukar Fortress," as he calls it, to dog care for the grueling climbs, shooting advice, prime habitat and bird behavior. He's giving us a rare inside look at what makes the birds tick and how to find them. We get a glimpse at his favorite dog breed (Cesky Fousek), how fire, water, weather and chukars interact, and how he gets four dogs, two hunters and a guide into one boat! "Handle It" divorces praise from release commands, and your dogs tell us what New Year's resolutions they've made for you.
