Auto - Rund ums Auto.
It's our very first conversation recorded in Denmark at Soho House Copenhagen. To mark this moment I invited to the show local star and global thought leader: Veronica D'Souza, social entrepreneur, artist, author and activist. In this episode, we speak about what it really means to build a life that actually feels like your own, and the courage it takes to step away from societal expectations. Veronica shares what she learned from working closely with women in prison, how that experience reshaped her understanding of dignity and agency, and why music became a way back to her inner voice after years of building companies. If there's one thing to take away from this episode, it's this: living fully often starts with listening to yourself, and to the stories of others. If you enjoy this conversation, don't forget to rate and review us on your favorite podcast platform. This is our first episode recorded live in Sweden, here at Fotografiska Stockholm. And I couldn't imagine a better guest to open this chapter. In this episode, I get to interview the brilliant Keika Lee, Director of Global Public Affairs at IKEA.Keika grew up in Sweden with Korean heritage, in a family where discipline and hard work were part of everyday life. She was on her way to becoming a classical pianist, with auditions at Juilliard and the Conservatoire in Paris, and then she made a decision that surprised many: she walked away. What followed wasn't a straight career path, but years of trial and error. Keika tried many different roles: from bartending and working airport security to studying political science, building a fashion brand with her sister and working in consultancy. From the outside, It might look scattered, but it became one of her biggest strengths: learning how people behave and how to read the room. This episode might make you pause and ask yourself whether what you're building is actually aligned with who you are, and remind you that nothing you try is ever wasted.Read more about the Women Authors of Achievement (WAA) Podcast via waa.berlin/aboutFollow us on Instagram & find us on LinkedInSubscribe to our newsletter via waa.berlin/newsletter ★ Support this podcast on Patreon ★

In this episode of the Uploft Interior Design Podcast, I'm recording from my bathroom on a snow day, juggling three kids, a flu quarantine, and cabin fever while diving into part two of my 2026 interior design trends report, where I break down what's in, what's questionable, and what I'm personally excited about—from going all-in on tile and embracing textile wall hangings to cautiously approaching leopard print, rejecting hand stenciling, loving layered botanical prints, and fully endorsing the dramatic return of the “5th wall,” aka the ceiling. I also share some real-life context about being stuck indoors, explain why certain trends feel timeless versus truly trendy, and then pivot hard into my unexpected obsession with Heated Rivalry, analyzing its unrequited-love tension, stunning interiors, and the addictive rabbit hole of post-show press tours that left me completely hooked. It's about time we really talk about beauty tech, what it already looks like in parts of Asia, and what it could become in our homes in the next few years, in ways we probably can't even imagine yet. That's exactly what I explore in this episode with Wanfen Xia, CMO and Managing Director at Ulike Europe.Wanfen brings a clear and grounded perspective on where the beauty-tech sector is heading. We talk about how advanced Asian markets already are, what Europe can learn from them, and how new self-care routines might soon become a natural part of everyday life at home. What I especially appreciated in this conversation is Wanfen's gentle, thoughtful approach, shaped by literature, aesthetics, and a deep understanding to what beauty can mean beyond performance or perfection. It's a reminder that some things are meant to be felt intuitively. If you enjoy this conversation, don't forget to rate and review us on your favorite podcast platform.Read more about the Women Authors of Achievement (WAA) Podcast via waa.berlin/aboutFollow us on Instagram & find us on LinkedInSubscribe to our newsletter via waa.berlin/newsletter ★ Support this podcast on Patreon ★

As we get close to Christmas and the end of the year, I wanted to take a moment to thank you all for listening to my podcasts. This year marks the end of 10 years of Home Design Chat with Nancy, When I started this podcast, I was worried about having enough information to share with you but It seems that I never run out of topics to talk about with you. Over the past decade, we've talked about everything from kitchen and bath design to tile trends, safety, wellness, and how homes really function in everyday life. These podcasts have always been about education — helping you make informed decisions, not just follow trends.Last January I started to focus more on homeowners and do -it -yourselfers, educating on every aspect of design and how-to's. We did a series on installing tile yourself. That was interesting. I learned alot although I would not install myself. Gil Olachea became my co-host squeezing in time to podcast once or twice a month. I'm really excited about what's coming up in 2026.Gil and I will have more honest conversations about productsThe pros and cons — or as I call the good, the bad and the ugly.Biophilic designs, wellness and technology are definitely on everyone's radarMy goal in 2026 is to keep this podcast useful, practical, and grounded in how people actually live.”I'll be sharing a few ‘Best of Home Design Chat with Nancy' episodes over the next few weeks — some of the conversations you've loved most and that are still incredibly relevant today.I'll be taking a short holiday break, and I'll be back with great new guests starting January 5th, 2026. Hi everyone, and welcome back to Home Design Chat with Nancy! Christmas, Hanukkah and Kwanzaa are going to be here before you know it. Whatever you celebrate, I am sure you have a lot to do before the big day or big week.. Decorating, gift shopping, planning the menu for family holiday dinners, and added to this, enough stress for 10 people. I think stress naturally goes with holidays. I was actually thinking of sharing some of my traditional Italian cookies and pastry recipes but…this is not a cooking show, so I will stick with my subjects for your home.If you are remodeling any part of your home, or building a new home, or are in the middle of planning a remodel project, now is not the time to think about this. Every year designers obsess over the same recycled “Logo Design Trends” and every year companies panic, rebrand, and burn piles of money trying to look relevant. Here's the truth no trend report will ever tell you. Trends aren't the future of logo design. They're a giant red flag that a brand is confused, inconsistent, or unwilling to fix the real problems underneath. And here's the part most graphic designers will hate. The only reason trends keep winning is because too many designers keep thinking trends equal good design. Most of us would make the exact same mistakes these companies do because we chase aesthetics instead of understanding strategy. Most designers follow. Only a few actually design. Which one are you? In this weeks solo episode of The Angry Designer Podcast, we expose why logo design trends keep distracting designers from the work that actually matters. We dig into why timeless logos survive for decades, why brands keep running toward unnecessary redesigns, and how you can stop reacting to what is popular and start building logos and careers that can't be replaced. In this episode you'll discover:- Why trend chasing keeps designers stuck as order takers instead of problem solvers- What timeless designers do differently and how it gives them unbeatable career leverage- How to spot when a rebrand is strategic and when it is a pointless, expensive panic moveThis episode is not about trends. It is about you. Because if you think following what is fashionable will make you valuable, you're already on the wrong side of graphic design. The HUGE opportunity is right in front of you. Designers who think deeper, question harder, and design with purpose are the ones who build logos that last, brands that matter, and careers that actually go somewhere.Stay Angry our Friends –––––––––––Join Anger Management for Designers Newsletter at https://tinyurl.com/mr4bb4j3Want to see more? Greenville home style refresh, coming in hot. In this episode, Stan rapid-fires through ten design trends on their way out (hi, barn doors and two-tone cabinets) and the ten replacing them—like wallpaper accents, creamy whites, light floors, smarter tile, and real home offices. If you're selling, flipping, or building in the Upstate, these shifts can mean faster offers and fewer buyer turn-offs. Learn which colors, trims, and finishes are resonating with Greenville buyers right now, the ceiling and wall paint trick designers are using to make rooms feel bigger, and the kitchen choices that help listings pop without scaring off half your buyers. Stan also breaks down why wide-open plans are fading and what “flow plus airy” looks like instead—along with what homeowners actually prefer between dining rooms, eat-in kitchens, and island living. Plus, an Amazon Gift Card Drawing! Three names are announced, and the first to confirm by the deadline wins. (Note: the date mentioned in the episode should read October 24, not October 17, with confirmation due by 11:59 PM.) As always, if you have any questions or comments (or, of course, need a realtor), feel free to reach out to Stan McCune directly by phone/text at (973) 479-1267 or by email at smccune@cdanjoyner.com
