Jaws Consortium's podcast about a lot of things, who knows where we will go.
Well the Afghanistan withdrawal was a thing. A very chaotic thing that really hurt the US credibility and image. So the question is, what happens now? Conspiracies abound about the withdrawal and a possible reinvasion, though only time will tell. COVID Delta spikes in Alberta, and we need masks again. And some movie and game talk. Jaws Out.
Well it has been a while. So we have a lot to catch up on. Residential schools and graves. Church vandalism and arson. Movies and Games. Covid. Government Olypmics There that should catch us up. Jaws Out.
Sorry for the late episode, May was a really busy month for me and had some interesting stories that took time to really flesh out. Anyway on to the next endeavor. this episode covers some of the COVID, Israel and Palestine, some gaming related stuff. Jaws Out.
So covid lockdowns are back in effect. Computer components and consoles are still hard to come by and polls remain untrustworthy. Jaws Out
So we have the Suez Canal blocked by Ever Given and then some great memes. Covid vaccines delivery dates and errors during production. Finally some political criticism. Jaws Out.
So it has been a full 365 days since the lockdown was first declared in Alberta. Completed Hyrule Warriors Age of Calamity, and now going back to play Fire Emblem Warriors. Got my hands on Valheim thanks to a generous friend and have kind of deep dived into it so far. Jaws Out.
So a little on the governments in Canada and Covid. More attempts at firearms regulations. Watched Tenet and really liked it. Jaws Out.
Sorry for the late upload, not really feeling it last weekend. So playing more of Breath of the Wild and Age of Calamity as well as grabbing Super Mario 3d world with Bowser's Fury. What was with the Super Bowl Chiefs? Covid vaccines on the way but will be a while until a lot of people will be able to be vaccinated. Jaws Out.
So Super Bowl 55 is tomorrow and both teams are going to have a good time, no matter who wins it will hopefully be a very fun game to watch. Got back in to Breath of the Wild and beat the Ballad of Champions DLC, very rewarding. Covid is slowing being dealt with, at least we are getting the ability to go to restaurants as of Feb 8th so that is a nice development. Jaws out.
So Wallstreetbets taking it to the hedge funds last week. USAF has extended the service life of the F-22 past 2060 when they were expected to be retired. The Rona in Alberta has fallen low enough to allow restaurants to allow in person dining after the super bowl. And FBI foils FBI Proudboys insurrection... Jaws Out.
So this was an episode that had no structure, just to keep up the every Saturday recording but less political than usual. Jaws Out.
So 20,000 plus National Guard in Washington DC For the Inauguration. Trump's second impeachment. Slowdown in Covid vaccines from Pfizer so they can retool their main plant in Europe. Signal going down for a few days as people think about how powerful a few technology companies are in this day and age. Jaws Out.
So 2021 has started and it is not much better than 2020 so far. We have the Capitol building breached in the US by Trump supporters. More Covid lockdown time. Big tech going coming down on political actors they or their staff do not like. Who could have predicted this. So hopefully after January things can start coming around with the vaccine roll out and maybe a calming down of political heat. Jaws Out.
So the year is almost over, and what a year it has been. Maybe one to not remember for the Covid and elections. At least the games were good for the most part. Jaws Out.
So it is almost the election in the United States and boy what a year 2020 has been so far. Also Calgary is lowering the speed limit for surface streets to 40 km/h next year, and expanding the program to charge residents for street parking. Finally watched the Star Wars Episode 9 as well as Solo, and will give my thoughts on them. Playing some old games like Act of War and Act of Aggression as well as Luigi's Mansion 3. Jaws Out.
A new episode since August. Man this year has been weird, we have a quick Sept 26 look back at the year so far. Breonna Taylor's grand jury information and charges for 1 of the officers. PS5 and Xbox Series X/S preorder fiasco as well as the Nvidia RTX 30 series cards. Riots are still going on as the US election gets closer. Jaws Out.
So we have floods in China and more questions about the Three Gorges Damn, protests heating up again in various US cities. Infections are on the rise in the US as governments figure out what to do, lock-down again fully or try to find a way to operate society while minimizing risk by mandating masks. Jaws Out.
OK so finally making the 3rd episode of the season and man is it overdue. Covid still fills the news mostly since March 15th but on May 25th Alberta started to re-open. Unfortunately George Floyd's death by the hands of Minneapolis police also happened on May 25th and I discuss ways to increase accountability and responsibility in the police forces around north america, though mostly for the US so hopefully this does not happen again without action against the bad actors. Social media erupted after George Floyd's death and I think people need to be realize to solve the problems of police brutality and we should not jump to silence or force speech to fit our individual world view. Finally some gaming talk from Command & Conquer remaster as well as Xenoblade Chronicles series. Jaws Out.
Saw Sonic the Hedgehog, and man it was worth the rework they did, sadly many 3d artists were laid off after their hard work redoing Sonic. Almost done Eternal Darkness Sanity's Requiem on the Gamecube. Working with my brother in Airdrie was fun, learned some stuff about projecting on buildings. Slow start to the season but some job opportunities are on the horizon so stuff might change. Jaws out.
So it has been a while, and I have a dog. His name is Trigger and once video is up he will be the official co-host of the show. Today we looked at the XFL, the Superbowl, Mandatory Alcohol Screening in Canada, and various video games and game related news. Season 3 has a soft launch in February. Jaws Out.
So this episode is about both 2019 and the 2010 decade. A little late to post but still a good look back at the decade. So 2020 is already eventful and I will be back to cover that next week. Jaws Out.
So it is almost Christmas and I have finally watch Captain Marvel and Avengers Endgame. Also created an epic game store and found out someone had made an account of Facebook and Epic Games using one of my alternate email addresses, which is weird. Have yet to see the new Star Wars but I have seen Angry Joe's review of it the night it started, and I guess I will see it to see if I agree with his take. Hence a rant on if he is right. Merry Christmas and a happy new year. Jaws Out.
So we are almost done with 2019 and the 2010s decade. Anyway Capcom dropped the trailer for Resident Evil 3 Remake coming out April 3 2020, and that is cool. We talk about the Blackmagic atem mini and Halo 5 and Gears of War 5. Jaws Out
So we start the last month of the year and the decade. Hopefully people had a nice, polite and without the divisive political talks for American Thanksgiving. Also Black Friday went over well here. London had a stabbing/terrorist event, and as more info comes out about the perpetrator more questions pop up. Protect your cellphone screens, please I learned that the hard way this week. Also some game talk near the end. Jaws Out.
So a lot later than I wanted this episode to go out but I did not like the first recording and various other distractions got in the way. On this episode, Pat McAfee' show, Asus new Zen Book Pro Duo. So a little bit about the Canadian Federal Election. Distribution rights for media produced by various companies and Netflix saying they are going after password sharing. Also Halloween is soon, and with it comes Luigi's Mansion 3 on that day. Jaws Out.
So a quick update on the Canadian Federal Election, My thoughts on that will be posted on jawsconsortium.com later Tuesday or early Wednesday depending on work and other such things. Some talk about gaming again, as it is a staple, Smash Bros characters, Mercenaries 1 on Xbox One as well. Video and streaming is in the short future boys, just waiting for Black Magic Designs to release their HDMI Switching unit the ATEM mini and get my work computer up for it. Also watching muted football is sort of entertaining, but the sound of the crowd and casters does improve the experience, trust me I watched redzone muted while recording this during the afternoon games. But at least no copy-write BS. Jaws Out
So I am finally back with more to talk about after most of August, all of September and some of October off. Work and various other projects were burning me out and I had almost no energy to put into Stories, but all that changes now. Anyway this episode covers the Canadian elections a little bit, but please do not decide who to vote for because of me, no real info besides from my opinion laid out based on my limited info. Be an informed voter, please. Also Turkey, Syria and the Kurds. The Israel trip I was on recently, Astral Chain for the Switch and a little Ace combat 7 DLC talk. Jaws out.
So it has been a while, and we talk about Dayton Ohio and the Air Force museum there. Columbus is also a nice city to visit, not to busy and lots of eating and shopping options, as well as Preston's hamburger that might be the best burger I have ever eaten. Also some video game talk about Fire Emblem Warriors and the Naruto Ninja storm series on the switch. Ace combat 7 Soundtrack release date is made known and there is an orchestral performance in japan for it later this year. This episode was recorded on my Zoom H1 at my gaming PC so it is not the same fidelity as the Zoom board and the EV RE20 mic, but it works in a pinch. Jaws out.
So this was a long time coming and I really just ranted in this episode. I looked over a bit of E3, talked about the slowdown in creating the show. Also a bit of my past, some shit from grade 7 to 9. Jaws Out.
OK so slow update but I saw John Wick 3, and for a about a week after that there was not much to discuss. then near the end of May all sorts of stuff start coming out or I finally see it. Raising Kraito documentary by Sony and Playstation is one such thing, and worth a viewing. Also some more soap box talk about the issues with consolidation of power by a few companies in a market space. Finally it is 30 years ago that Tienanmen square massacre happened and the video and picture of Tankman. email us at sftcd@jawsconsortium.com Jaws out.
So this episode is a trip down memory lane, looking back at preschool through grade 6, not really in depth but gives you a sense of where I come from. Jaws Out.
In this episode I discuss the Sonic the Hedgehog design and response, as well as contrast it with Detective Pikachu coming out soon. I talk about Ace combat 7's DLC, Ace Combat Fan has a video here discussing it in better detail. I have finally watch Avengers Infinity War as well as Ant-man and the Wasp, also Black Panther. Finally I touch on Ben and Jerry's ads about climate change and Climate Strike Canada. Linus Tech tips: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCXuqSBlHAE6Xw-yeJA0Tunw Sidalpha 4 year anniversary: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lrgcSCxxEy0&t=170s Jaws Out

So I get up on a soapbox and talk about the Alberta 2019 election which voting will happen on April 16th. I also discuss the Epic Game store and how they are buying exclusives like Borderlands 3. This leads to the talk on piracy that the fragmentation of digital sources for media and games might soon cause. Finally we have an email address: sftcd@jawsconsortium.com please send us comments. Jaws Out

My take on the 2018 E3 Pre-show presentations. During the episode I say Forza Horizion 2 when I meant Forza Horizion 4, well mistakes were made... Also post recording I learned that Ace Combat 7 did release a trailer on Friday the 15th without a release date, but a reporter did find out from the Director of Ace Combat 7 that units would ship in 2018. Let's hope that holds true. Jaws Out.
