De cultures musicales fortes et différentes (rock ou folklore breton), ils décidèrent un jour de mettre à profit leur viscéral sens de l'ouverture pour se lancer dans une aventure commune ... Associant d'autres excellents musiciens à ce projet, le résultat est à la fois détonnant, toujours ancré et pourtant définitivement ailleurs ... Pop Talk etc... #11 What strikes you first in the music of the Englishman Duke Garwood, is this unique breathing... This music is not there to chase after something or to fit into a mould but seems to be a most sincere transposition of internal resonances ... And as he is a highly talented instrumentalist, the result is most of the time overwhelming ... If the blues clearly appears to be a matrix of his music, he nevertheless loves the crossroads and also excels in collaborations, such as the one with Mark Lanegan of course, but also more recently with the Hifiklub collective... Duke Garwood is therefore one of those precious artists who seem to have been chosen by the music... His words, rare, are a beautiful gift that he gives us. Scène Française #5 Camille Bénâtre fait vraiment partie de ces artisans aussi humbles que talentueux qui font la richesse et la grandeur de la #scenefrancaise ... Si les influences premières de sa musique semblent fortement anglo-saxonnes - exprimées notamment dans son projet précédent Alone With Everybody -, si sa belle appétence pour la mélodie qui fait mouche nous saute aux oreilles, il nous apparait tout aussi évident que la facilité avec lequel il se meut aujourd'hui dans la langue française fait de lui un musicien profondément ancré dans l'Ici et le Maintenant ... Navigant avec grâce entre l'enjoué et le mélancolique, cette musique est faite pour s'épanouir à la vue de tous et nous pouvons gager qu'elle finira par réchauffer de nombreux petits coeurs meurtris ... First in the band Noise Addict and then quite quickly with a manifest solo debut album "Grandpaw Would", the young Australian Ben Lee marked his ground with a pop writing at the same time harsh, rock and deeply melodic... Almost 30 years later, after ups and downs, as in any real career, he is still there, with the same qualities, but these have been refined to take us to lands where facetious representations of the human condition are played out, with passion as his faithful companion... A word that vibrates, human, so human ...  Rares sont les musiciens que l'on suit depuis leurs 14 ans ! ... #ScèneFrançaise #3 Ce qu'il y a de certain, c'est que Brunoï Zarn est vraiment de ceux qui font la grandeur de la Scène Française ... Activiste sur de nombreux fronts musicaux depuis une vingtaine d'années, il y multiplie les projets (Boucan, Double Hapax, Kestekop,...), jusqu'à son tout dernier, La Foule, avec toujours la même appétence ... Que ce soit en solo ou en groupe, ce qui caractérise la musique de Brunoï Zarn est cette alliance rare entre l'instinct et la musicalité la plus profonde ... Et si les fondations du bâtiment viennent sans doute du blues, l'édifice foisonnant construit pierre par pierre sur celles-ci tient autant de l'empirisme que de la cohérence absolue ... Il en est des artistes comme des hommes, difficile de se trouver si on ne se cherche pas ... Et assurément, Florent Nesles est un cherchant ... Passionnant ... Et les 30 minutes d'écoute qui suivent vont vous sembler passer à la vitesse de l'éclair, promis ... Côté musical, qu'il est beau d'assister à cet épanouissement qui nous saute au visage depuis son précédent album "Permafrost" ... "Arsenic" continue ainsi brillament cette route ... Ce qui est certain, c'est que Nesles est aujourd'hui rentré dans la cour des Grands et qu'il faut que cela se sache, non de non !

Never have the intentions and subtleties of a human being been better embodied than in this voice of infinite capacity, yet always shunning any vocal "performance" ... Author, composer, musician, singer and creator of her own label, Balloon Ranger Recordings, since the beginning, Ane Brun's career is a model of autonomy and forces admiration... Strongly anchored in her scandinavian environment (Norwegian living in Sweden), it's undoubtedly thanks to the solidity of this base that she can allow herself all the openings, musical and human ...
