There are so many opinions on training and nutrition these days. How do you know what's really right for you? Today, we talk about how we've sorted through the weeds and developed our own coaching philosophies based on racing and coaching thousands of athletes. What do you really believe in your heart and gut? It's hard to stay true to those principles with so many outside influences. We get into going with your instincts, learning from mistakes, training in a way that's right for you, racing to your capabilities, and talk about why everyone wants to blame nutrition or the run. The Let's Go to the Phones boys and the Phillies are peaking at the exact right time, as the Phillies march on towards the postseason and the boys get jazzed for the start of the NFL season. The Phillies are playing some electric baseball and not even a measly blood clot can stop their march to Red October. Uncle Coggin had a hell of a time at the old ball park this week and it stokes some less than favorable memories of being an absolute dud at high school baseball. The boys talk the Birds and the end of training camp, their mounting injuries, and if the Cowboys are just playing possum with Micah Parsons. We end it all with a sports talk roundup, sending Mike Missanelli off to the great sports talk station in the sky, and reminisce yet again over Howard Eskin. Can Tigers maintain their lead?
In this episode, the boys are getting nervous. They review the recent loss to the lowly St. Louis City FC, and discuss all the terrible defensive collapses. And woe is Joe! While the boys note that Nashville dodged any damage to their standings in the eastern conference, they still are concerned with the team's recent stretch of play and wonder if they peaked too soon. Peaking too soon is not something Steve Martin ever did, though. He peaked early and often and he's still going strong at almost 80. And while we all can agree that League's Cup sucks and maybe the team management never expected NSC to be this good this season (neither did we!), the boys take a look at the final stretch of the season to talk about what to expect and what they hope will happen. Finally, they wrap up with some predictions for the upcoming game versus New York City FC in stupid ol' Yankee Stadium. And they drink beer.

In Episode 71 of the I'M PEAKING Podcast, we FINALLY sat down with legendary Drum & Bass producer, Stanley Stevenson-Byrne (aka FOX STEVENSON) to talk ALL things DnB—from why it took so long to catch on in America to how touring in Europe can be absolutely brutal. Fox opened up about feeling “outside” the DnB scene in the U.S., shared what it's like doing his own vocals, and explained why he moved on from his past Stan SB project back in the mid 2010's. He also gave us the scoop on his new album, Sunk Cost Fallacy (OUT NOW!), and even played us a couple of absolute BANGERS from it (seriously, they were so good wowow). We also debated big vs. intimate venues, dreamed up throwback EDM festivals, and broke down how European and American dance music scenes really compare. This one was quite the ride and an episode that's been a long time coming, so strap in and hope you enjoy!! ❤️Link to buy an I'M PEAKING Jersey: http://impeakingpod.myshopify.com/CHECK OUT OUR PATREON (for bonus content) - https://patreon.com/user?u=87212419FOLLOW US ON SOCIAL MEDIA:I'M PEAKING PodcastYouTube - https://www.youtube.com/@impeakingInstagram - https://www.instagram.com/impeakingpod/TikTok - https://www.tiktok.com/@impeakingpodFacebook - https://www.facebook.com/impeakingDevin LarscheidYouTube - https://www.youtube.com/@devinlarscheidInstagram - https://www.instagram.com/devinlarscheid/TikTok - https://www.tiktok.com/@devinlarscheidFacebook - https://www.facebook.com/indevinitelyThreads - https://www.threads.net/@devinlarscheidNand MahasuwanYouTube - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCw0h80t2rgdz_hp4kmyCN2gInstagram - https://www.instagram.com/nandmahasuwan/TikTok - https://www.tiktok.com/@nand.the.rave.dadFacebook - https://www.facebook.com/nandtheravedadThreads - https://www.threads.net/@nandmahasuwanDaniel Jun (aka Bassbaedaniel)YouTube - https://www.youtube.com/@bassbaedanielInstagram - https://www.instagram.com/bassbaedaniel/TikTok - https://www.tiktok.com/@UCWQ3hBeb8cu15UzM7HxIylg Threads - https://www.threads.net/@bassbaedanielJan DanielleInstagram - https://www.instagram.com/thejandanielle/TikTok - https://www.tiktok.com/@thejandanielleFOX STEVENSONYouTube - https://www.youtube.com/@FoxStevensonMusicSpotify - https://open.spotify.com/artist/2BQWHuvxG4kMYnfghdaCIySoundcloud - https://soundcloud.com/foxstevensonInstagram - https://www.instagram.com/foxstevenson/TikTok - https://www.tiktok.com/@foxstevensontv#ravers #raves #edmfamily #musicfestivals #edm #impeaking #podcast #edmfestivals #foxstevenson #edmmusic #poppunk #drumnbass #drumandbass

What does it take to climb your hardest route at 50—and then hold the rope while someone else pushes that same line even further? For Neil Gresham, that moment came on Lexicon, a bold and beautiful E11 route he bolted and climbed later in life. In this conversation, Neil shares the full story—from discovering the line in the Lake District to the deep personal shift that allowed him to reach a new peak, years after he thought he'd already hit it.We also talk about what it was like to support a rare flash attempt by another world-class climber (whose recent film on Lexicon just dropped), and how that moment made Neil reflect on performance, legacy, and the long game. But this episode goes far beyond a single climb. We explore:Why Neil climbed his hardest routes after 45The nutrition and training strategies that helped him recover faster in his 50s than in his 20sWhat most athletes misunderstand about agingCoaching climbers into their 70s—including how he succeeded working with Rob MathesonThe mindset shift that helped him let go of pressure and finally enjoy the process againWhether you're a climber or not, Neil's story is about curiosity, adaptation, and staying sharp—mentally and physically—as the years go by.References & Resources:

In this episode of the Supporting Champions Podcast, I'm joined by the brilliant Kate Spilsbury—a former colleague, friend, and leading performance physiologist. Kate's journey from nutrition to physiology is both inspiring and instructive, and I couldn't be more thrilled to welcome her to the show. This conversation is rich with reflections from her research (including Kenyan vs. British runners), her experience leading into the 2032 Brisbane Olympics, and her wisdom on monitoring, recovery, and pacing strategies that really work. ✅ Key Topics ✔️ Tapering and peaking for optimal performance ✔️ Transition from nutrition to physiology ✔️ High performance systems in the UK vs. Australia ✔️ Managing training loads and athlete readiness ✔️ Monitoring tools: HRV, pacing, and athlete feedback ✔️ The psychological side of tapering ✔️ Individualization in endurance and team sports ✔️ Environmental factors: heat, altitude, geography ✔️ Recovery strategies and their effectiveness

Trevor Newlin is a Los Angeles based suit actor most notable for his role as the Xenomorph in Alien Romulus. Trevor first discovered his love for theatre while still in high school growing up in Texas. After graduating he went to college for theatre before eventually attending film school in Los Angeles. His initial goal was to get into voice acting, but while he was still in school his professor recommended that he consider suit acting instead due to his unusually tall (6 foot 7 inches) and slender build. Peaking his curiosity Trevor reached out to the legendary suit actor Doug Jones through a simple DM on Instagram and miraculously Doug responded and agreed to a meeting that turned into a conversation lasting over 3 hours long. Taking Doug's advice Trevor found himself meeting make up artists and participating in Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios. Things snowballed from there and he has since acted in international ad campaigns for Amazon, been featured in trailers for American Horror Story, wore a Wookie suit in Disney's Mandalorian 2, became a monster in Smile 2, and played his most iconic role of the Xenomorph in Alien Romulus. In this episode we discuss a shared love for thePackers, hosting a podcast during the pandemic, meeting the team at Legacy Effects, becoming the Amazon Yeti, working on the set of Star Wars, taking arguably the most iconic creature role ever for Alien Romulus, and much more.
